✓ Easy learningI have found this app quite easy to follow and learn in a little under 15 minutes I learned basic good words. I am a beginner so more advanced linguists would find this too easy. The only issue I have come across is part the way through the training the sound stopped working and then came back again after a minute but all the words that were supposed to be spoken when being trained all came at once and were not relevant to that particular training at that point. It has only happens 3 times in 30 minutes. You can progress through training without it, but I do find it better to hear the words being spoken..Version: 34.83

✓ Grammatical gender?I like Drops as an app in and of itself (especially for casually studying languages I don’t have the time to completely devote myself to)... but is there a reason none of the Norwegian nouns have a matching article to help indicate their gender, the way other Germanic and Romance languages do? E.g., en måne, en fot, et brød, etc. Grammatical gender does still have influence in Norwegian (for example... knowing what version of “a” to use before a noun), even if it’s not AS important as in, say, German. Not even getting into feminine nouns, which yeah you don’t have to know but if you can learn that something can be ei jente at the same time you learn jente, why wouldn’t you? It just makes the Norwegian course kinda useless, since if you’re going to learn nouns in a language with grammatical gender of some kind, you NEED to learn what its gender is at the same time. A mention somewhere that this is specifically for Bokmål and not Nynorsk probably wouldn’t hurt, either..Version: 25.12

I’m learning Norwegian for family and only being able to learn a few words a day isn’t very helpful and Duolingo is helpful but doesn’t make sense to me all the time and is fast paced. I wish you didn’t have to pay to learn but besides that the app is amazing and is very helpful when you want to learn at your own pace. This app makes it supper easy for anyone to start learning, they repeat words enough to where you come off pretty confident that within maybe a day you will have the words 80% if not 100% down! Only thing I don’t like is that if you pay you get more time to learn, however I hate this with most apps, so I’ll take off some points but hardly anything. ✓ What kind of Norwegian am I learning?So I am planning to move to Norway, but I can't tell if this is Nynorsk or Bokmål. I don't really care, i just wish the app would tell you. Otherwise, the app is amazing. It's just that you also need to wait 10 hours between lessons or pay for the subscription.
