Scripts: Learn Chinese writing for Positive User Reviews

Decent with a few annoyancesFor the most part it is great and easily shows you stroke order or how to write characters / letters in general. The application is unreasonably pedantic at times about where to end a stroke and when, I know I’d almost always be writing letters or characters for Hindi or Chinese characters in the way I was shown...but then it would ‘correct’ me by filling it out even though I wrote the exact same thing? I wish there was Arabic, Greek and Hebrew writing systems on here too; as well as many other scripts that will be available at some point, how about it devs? I also wish that especially for a script like Arabic, you should allow people to write out actual whole words instead of singular letters - words in Arabic are NOT entirely consisted of isolated letters! They’re joined, so it’s not going to look like the isolated ones all the time. This should also be applied to every other script currently available (as well as every new one updated in the future) - writing involves out words to then fill out phrases and then sentences, people don’t write out the alphabet or whatever to communicate with one another....Version: 5.2

Day 1!After 3 months in China, attempting to learn from web-based sites, I learned & remember 6 words in 5m! Off to find Drops, thanks! Would it be possible to add a drops feature . .to have the English translation on the summary page? Cheers, p.Version: 6.15

Incredible Use of My Time!5 minutes per day is the best short and efficient use of my language learning time! Especially with a hard language Like Japanese! I’m so grateful for Scripts and Drops! It makes learning Japanese so much more fun, efficient and effective for my busy life style! If you’re trying to learn Japanese or the other languages Scripts provides and you live a busy lifestyle this app is PERFECT for you!!.Version: 3.2

User friendly and it works 👍I used the standard drops app to help with French and it was amazing. Nice design, learned a lot, but (like every other language app) verbs aren’t as helpful with the app. Still over all the original was great. The new one I wanted to try something new. Russian. In under a week I know now the Cyrillic alphabet pretty well. The only problem is that I wanted more. Greek was my first choice but it isn’t there yet, and I think Arabic and Thai would be nice additions. Overall pretty helpful..Version: 8.4

Good for the purposeGood if your new at the language and is effective to learning to speaking basic words and writing.Version: 6.15

This App Rocks!I’m an 11 year old girl who has just enrolled in a Mandarin language program. I barely knew any of Mandarin, but I was able to pick up several words during class. One of the hardest parts for me was writing characters! This app traces you along, stroke order, and helps you memorize the characters using simple doodles! If you need character help, this app is perfect for you!.Version: 2.6

Cantonese not availableIn the Drops app, Cantonese is made available but in this script version Mandarin speech is the only option for Chinese available..Version: 5.2

Excellent apWhat a brilliant way of learning.I have 2 degrees but hated languages this is a really great way of learning.Thanks.Version: 6.15

GudIt gud teachs me a lot but wish more than 5 mins a day.Version: 2.6

So good for keen learnersI love this app!! First time using it and it’s so helpful. Even doing just 5 minutes a day I feel more confident with my Korean..Version: 8.4

Great, but could be improvedI like learning how to write the hanzi, but unfortunately I can't go back and review the brush strokes of each character. I would like to do that so I could practice it on my own. I have the paper to write it, but 5 min isn't enough to learn and copy the strokes down. So if you could change it so that we could go back and review the words and its brush strokes after the 5 min that would be great..Version: 8.39

Love itThis is my first time using this app and a already know how to write rén xīn and sooo much more😁.Version: 7.47

Very goodGood job and no new ideas.Version: 5.2

Preview reviewInteresting and fun language learning preview. I chose Chinese, but after I master it I would like to learn ASL I’m a visual learner so seeing and writing with guidance, plus hearing the sound of a letter (or word) really helps me to remember what I practice. The lesson was only 5 min, 3 words with really good reinforcement practice sessions. Very kinesthetic. The only missing piece is if I could input my voice and get correction. Other than that I will give 4 starts with 1 reserved for reviewing the price and what features are offered in premium. Thanks to the developers for a really good language learning app!.Version: 6.15

DecentI’ve only done one lesson. But unless something changes I’m very impressed with this app. I’d recommend it to those that are already practising a language and just want to clarify their writing..Version: 5.2

GreatHelps a lot.Version: 6.15

Great appVery easy to use and lots of content to work through. They were also quick to respond to any questions I had and fixed my log in issues immediately. Would highly recommend!.Version: 6.15

Great for visual learnersI love this app. I wished it taught Kanji for Japanese though..Version: 5.8

Like the ways to assimilate it all and to write own characters🤪......Version: 3.2

EnjoyableEasy to use. Polished. We’ll see if it is an effective learning tool..Version: 4.54

Very helpfulThis app is super helpful for learning languages which use symbol notation and have a difficult differentiation between the sounds of the letters (i.e - Korean and Chinese). It also helps you remember and recognize the phonetic quicker than other language learning applications I’ve used. All in all, Scripts is making it easier for me to learn a new languages and I would definitely recommend it..Version: 3.2

5 minutes a day works! For anyone who is interested in learning to read and write Chinese, Script is where to start, absolutely. Everything is right about this app: the interface, the design, the format, the voices and even the reminders. I find Script an excellent companion to Drops (for which I have taken a paid subscription). In the early stages of my learning Chinese, I really appreciate the opportunity to go back to the radicals and focus on them alone on a daily basis. I find that working this way provides welcome extra support to my ability to memorise and seems to bring on reading fluency quicker. Very happy with the limited time format for each session. It’s much easier to stay motivated this way. For those who feel like they can / would like to spend more time, it’s only fair that they should take a subscription. This is a great app, with a lot of hard work and commitment behind it. (Note: complaining that everything is not free is a demented way to look at the world.) The app beats pen and paper for convenience and guarantees daily practice, which is the only thing that will bring success in language learning. Although I now enjoy using pen and paper to work on my Chinese characters, I don’t always have the time. In any case, I would never have gained the confidence to do so without the opportunity to practice first with Script. A massive thank you to the developers and illustrators for their amazing work. Your family of apps is making an invaluable contribution to language learning –I say that as a long time avid language learner who has tried every system out there 😁.Version: 5.8

5 minutes is greatThe 5 minutes a day takes a while to get used to but is perfect, but one idea for this great app would be to let the user choose what to learn. Maybe changing things do you know what subjects you are learning. Because I’m doing Chinese at the moment I am learning completely random words. Something for sentences would help. Also, if you read every review then please reply to this one!! (developers).Version: 6.15

New and love itI just downloaded Scripts and Drops and it’s my favourite apps for languages. I love you guys so much and hope you guys make it better for us users. It would be super good if we had more time to do Chinese because I don’t have the money to invest in language learning since my parents are having trouble with money. Please do think about it and I’d love to see new apps to help like grammar for Chinese.Version: 3.2

Not badSimple and easy.Version: 3.2

ASLI always wanted to learn sign language. DROPS has opened the door to a larger audience. Hopefully Braille will be on the horizon..Version: 5.2

AMAZING WOULD RECOMMENDI am learning korean hangul and Scripts has helped me learn how to write hangul the korean way, instead of the “american” way. You can choose the session lengths and if you keep a streak for a certain amount of time, you get bonuses and can learn more. you can also set a time for it to remind you to do your lesson, in case you’re forgetful, like me. i don’t know how well it does in other languages, but if it’s anything like this, i would highly recommend getting it..Version: 8.39

WowIt is very good but to help beginners I wish there would be more time on it each day.Version: 5.2

Wonderful App!I really enjoy having this app, its very educational but with your other app (Drops: Fun Language Learning) I’m having a really great time learning Swedish. And I downloaded your app (Scripts)to learn writing in this language. But quick question, Will you guys by any chance place as well the language Swedish in this app (Scripts)? Or is there a date in which you guys are? I really want to know because I like how organized and well your apps work.😊.Version: 8.39

Learning JapaneseI’ve been learning Japanese on Duolingo which has been amazing! I’ve learnt so many new words, even though I just started only two weeks ago, however, I was finding it quite difficult to neatly draw the letters and I looked for an app that might help me write the letters better and more neatly. I came across ‘Scripts’ and so far, it’s been great! It is helping me to learn how to write and I love it!.Version: 6.15

Great methodExcellent method to learn writing of characters. Repetition of the character sound helps associate with the spoken word..Version: 5.2

Absolutely brilliantIt has been teaching me how to write in Japanese and hopefully I'll know Japanese.Version: 3.2

Good to train memoryI really enjoyed using Drops for the first time. It covers several words within a few minutes and has you repeat the motions without being the same exercise all the time, which helps a lot to keep it interesting! Furthermore, it the app switches between words being practice which helps train the memory to better remember the words!.Version: 5.8

Refreshing as a cold showerComing from learning languages as a hobby, I was surprised and excited when I discovered an app that focused more on the writing than speech. My memory was bogged down by strokes and slashes; There was something missing in my own methods, something that Scripts provided. For five minutes a day you can learn to your hearts content- truly a masterstroke in design, when time is so readily discarded by distractions and engagements. I recommend this app to anyone looking for a new way to learn a language, but don’t have enough time in the day to sit down and learn one. You won’t be disappointed..Version: 2.6

Best Language app right nowSo I was given a challenge by my friends to try this app. I speak fluent Chinese so they wanted me to authenticate it. When i tried it it was great. You don’t even need to sign up for anything to. It starts you off at the basics and then progressively gets more harder. I also like how they teach you how to write the Kangxi. That is the one part of these apps that they miss out on. Speaking is one part and then writing and understanding what it says is the other. Great app would recommend to anyone looking to learn Chinese or any other language for that matter..Version: 4.54

Helpful!So helpful for a beginner like me!!!!.Version: 7.86

Awesome!!I love that you can continue practice writing them and then be tested..Version: 3.2

Amazing education gameI loved doing it for my first time and it is a really good game to use to get better knowledge about characters!!.Version: 4.54

AmazingReally simple and helpful.Version: 5.8

Love itEasy and effective..Version: 5.2

My Genuine ReviewThis app is honestly amazing. I struggled with learning languages until I started using Drops. The app keeps you focused on the session and makes you feel passionate to learn more. Another thing about the app that really helps is the simple 5 min a day. While you can always pay more for longer sessions , 5 min a day can really help teach you. I’m so happy I found the app and I hope that anyone that reads this review will take my advice and focus a short amount of time to become more educated; I hope you download Drops soon!.Version: 8.60

English-speaking learnerI’ve really only just started using Scripts but having to write the text as I’m learning it has allowed me mentally retain/recall the character shapes quicker. Pleasantly surprised and impressed..Version: 3.2

Great to lean withFantastic app to complement drops and complete learning of languages.Version: 3.2

AppHi great app thank for help me to learn Japanese.Version: 8.4

Super funIs wish there was more asl besides the alphabet.Version: 5.2

NiceLoved the easy writing. Would learn faster if I could write multiple kana on same page. One at a time is too slow.Version: 3.2

App is greatReally like how it balances going back to previously learned radicals..Version: 3.2

I Love This!!I took a Mandarin Chinese class in college and found writing the pictographs to be the hardest part. This makes it fun and provides the necessary repetition needed to learn the words. I also like that it provides pronunciation practice as well. As a teacher of Indo-European languages, this app tracks with everything I know about what it takes to master the basics of a language. My one drawback is that we don’t write using our index fingers so I hope it can interface with a stylus. If so I would advise users to go that route. I’ll update my review after trying one out..Version: 6.15

😁🙂Amazing I just think it’s amazing I absolutely love this app so far it hasn’t glitched like some other apps I’ve used before and I’m so glad I found this one my Over all rating is five stars in my opinion and I would definitely recommend using this app if you are trying to learn how to write in some languages that you either want to practice on or try out either way it’s all together a great app.Version: 8.4

Almost like subliminal messagingThis app is amazing, and that’s because it repeats what it says, if you easily get irritated by repeating sounds this isn’t the app for you. But, it does help with remembering what the different vowels/consonants there is. 👍👍.Version: 7.47

ScriptJust what a touch screen is designed for!.Version: 8.4

Hindi needs some additionsI have already learnt Hindi, but I felt the need to do some revision, so I tried out this cool app that I saw on the front page of the day. I’ve already tried Drops, so I guessed this would be good. While I admit this is a good app, there are some improvements necessary. In Hindi, you should add a skill where you use a few examples to teach vowel markers. Without them a course on Hindi writing is basically incomplete. The insertion of a few test words would also be very useful to the course, as it would teach learners how to join up letters and develop neat handwriting. Thirdly, the addition of a few common consonant clusters (the joined-up letters like “kya” क्य) would be handy. Also, I only gave four stars due to the high price for premium. I hope that you read and consider all of my suggestions! Thanks a lot for reading! (To any potential learners, I highly recommend the app, and even without premium it is a fully worth it experience. Premium is only $3.33/month, so the price is not that high. Highly recommend, great experience!) :).Version: 6.15

Great AppI have a lot of apps for learning to speak Japanese, but I still struggle with simple hiragana. This app is a really effective tool to be able to realise my hopes of learning Japanese..Version: 3.2

Excellent interfaceSo nicely made. Can’t wait for Japanese kanji!.Version: 5.8

CyrillicIn the case of Cyrillic I must say I don’t know a single Russian who pronounces the letters that way. It’s fine because you’re just making a basic noice for the letter and that is probably the closest you’ll get at this point but it’s just a fact that the noises sound strange in comparison to how native speakers and even learners pronounce the letters in most Cyrillic languages such as Russian or Ukrainian. Essentially, when the letter is pronounced it sound like a very different language than any Cyrillic languages, such as Russian or Ukrainian. Doesn’t need to be fixed, but it can be. Have a nice day!.Version: 8.39

FunIt’s a good app. I have always wanted to learn Japanese and I feel this app will help me..Version: 2.6

It's working - I'm learning!Ni Hao!.Version: 6.15

5 starSeems good.Version: 7.86

This is great!!I only have just started but I enjoy learning Japanese. At the school I transferred to we learn Japanese and I'm super far behind, so I get ds and es. The only problem is I get it wrong for doing the exact thing. ❤️♥️🌹🦄💖💕.Version: 3.2

Brilliant!I used this for Mandarin practice and it was really useful! Something that I think would be interesting is if you add a Ukrainian Cyrillic alphabet option, including handwriting / cursive! I’m starting to learn it now but I’m struggling to find resources for writing and I feel this app would be the perfect place for it. Overall though, it’s pretty brill :).Version: 8.60

Loving this appI plan to travel to China 2023. I don't know Chinese so I've gotten some apps to ease into the language. So far this is the only app that is fun and addictive (in a good sense). I bought the subscription so I could use it more. I like the timed word drills. I like how the app varies it's help for the user. It will show the Chinese character or provide guides, other times having no help other than showing the test word. If the user doesn't get the character correctly drawn, the app goes back to showing guidance and help for that particular character. I would like new feature that should easy to implement. A single screen with all words used so far. Of course the Chinese character, pidgin, and English. If too many for screen make it scrollable..Version: 7.47

Actually one of the best free apps I’ve come acrossI’m particular with what apps I download but I found this version great .... im learning Korean , mandarin and Japanese, these basic lessons are simple and easy to follow. learning to write the strokes correctly for each character is great. I don’t have premium subscription as I find the basic lessons are just as good but the lessons are time limited. It’s is worth the wait though. It’s not ad bombarded either .I recommend this app.Version: 5.8

Vraiment superUne application trop bien.Version: 8.4

Easy to useYou might as well deserve 5 stars because it’s fickle out there on the iOS store..Version: 4.54

Great AppI’m using it to learn Japanese hiragana right now and I’m using the other drops app to learn French vocab. My only problem with this one is because the activities take longer and are more repetitive I feel like 10 minutes would be better. Or even just 7. That way you can always do one lesson a day..Version: 3.2

Really amazingI’ve only been using this app for a couple of days, and I’m already remembering Hangul! It’s a very helpful app..Version: 4.47

Scripts JapaneseA great little app for beginners but as I have only done one 5 minute lesson, it’s not really a valid time to give feedback 👍😃.Version: 7.47

ReviewI love this app. It's help me a lot :)).Version: 2.6

Fun and FunctionalVery nifty! I’m learning Japanese, and was looking for an app that would let me practice writing the characters. The app is very responsive and drawing the characters out is smooth and buttery. I really like how it alternates between the guided practice (which is where it has you trace out the character along the guidelines and makes it pretty), and freehanding, where it shows where your own strokes would have fit within the lines..Version: 3.2

Great appIs very simple to use and a great way to learn.Version: 8.4

Awesome Easy And Fun-.Version: 6.15

Download This App!Being someone who has struggled to learn languages, from Japanese to ASL, This app has helped me so much! I’m currently using it to learn ASL. It’s so much fun you almost forget you’re learning and not playing a game. You can learn so much in five minutes. I do wish they’d allow more than Five minutes for those who can’t pay the monthly fee but I understand an amazing app like this needs money. I really recommend this to everyone trying to learn a new language. I believe it’s better than other apps like Duolingo, this is much more interactive and interesting..Version: 5.2

AmazingThis app is amazing, I've wanted to learn sign language my whole life to communicate with those who can't hear very well or are deaf, and this app is amazing for that since you only need to do it for 5 minutes everyday and you will pickup almost any language you want, yes it requires patience and a bit of anything but if your learning almost everything does so if you want to learn sign language or any language downlad this app!.Version: 6.15

NiceI’ve been learning korean for a while and my handwriting has been atrocious but scripts makes it a bit easier even though you can get it on drops (but I want my 5 minutes on each so..)..Version: 3.2

Very excited to explore this furtherBeautiful app. The progressions to learn each character are very well thought out, great work folks..Version: 3.2

I’m learningIt’s a very helpful app and I think a lot more people can learn Hangul faster with it.Version: 8.4

Good for kids who don’t now a lot of languageI was small then I was learning French then from learning one language then I said to my self I should go to the App Store a search a lot of language like English ,Chinese ,French a lot of languages then I found this amazing app called Scripts so I decided to download it and I was having a lot of fun to learn any language I want.Version: 8.60

Awesome in combinationI’m using this alongside other methods of study (videos, podcasts, other apps) and it really helps reinforce the concepts Im learning elsewhere. Would be less effective if I didn’t have that outside support for more in depth explanations..Version: 7.73

I love it.I absolutely love Scripts! I used Drops to learn Korean, and when I found Scripts, I used it to learn to read Japanese and Mandarin. I just wished that at the end of each segment, there was a short quiz that can be taken as many times as needed and whenever you have spare time. I think that’s a feature that would really help me retain more information. Thanks bunches!! 😊.Version: 8.60

Stephen CampbellRe training my brain.Version: 3.2

Mostly fantasticPersonally, i am a very fast learner. I downloaded this to learn asl and while it was extremely helpful, it took quite a bit of time to get through each sign. I think it would be nice if they would add a little ‘learning speed’ type thing, since some people are fast learners and others aren’t as fast. The only other thing i found disappointing was that this app only lets you learn 5 minutes a day unless you pay for a subscription. While i understand a company needs to get as much money as they can, it is dumb to basically have to pay to be able to communicate with foreigners. Because of these two things, i give this app 4 stars. But aside from these few things, this IS a fantastic app and would definitely teach you what you want to learn..Version: 5.8

Luv itIt’s a fun and easy way to learn and doesn’t take up a lot of your time :).Version: 8.4

It just feels right and easyI liked the colours, smooth animations and correction feedback and the different areas with/out guides to write the letters. Overall amazing app that shoo definitely win Apple Design Award.Version: 3.2

New appIt’s a fun way to learn. I retain better when I write it out as well I’m excited for this..Version: 3.2

HelpfulThis app is really helpful to me because I am a beginner who is trying to learn different languages and this app has really helped that is why I am rating this app 5 stars.Version: 8.60

First tryThanks for making this app that teach scripts. One thing that I believe could be added is the order of strokes for the characters in the “collection” category. Also, I am an user of Drops and I believe it would be better if the script writing would be incorporated in the languages’ content..Version: 3.2

I HaVe To pAY??I downloaded the app because I thought it would be a good way to help me learn the Korean symbols. It really helped me in those 5 minutes. And I was like “ Wow- this is so cool! I can it will really help me!” But when I found out you have to pay I was like- ohhhhhh it’s one of THOSE apps. Like other than Duolingo you have to pay for everything. I was just so excited that this was the one- then it wasn’t. I still like the app, other than waiting 10 hours for my next five minutes smh. I just wish it was free since this app really does help me.😪.Version: 3.2

Good for memoryJust like pen and paper to remember the Hanzi Give it a go..Version: 4.54

SCRIPTS.I enjoyed scripts very much l even give it more than five stars..Version: 4.54

HVeg.Version: 3.2

ExcellentIt’s very useful.Version: 8.4

Great, but needs more contentThis is a great way of learning the letters in a new language. I have gone through all the Chinese Hanzi, and I’m continuing on Drops as a subscriber. But now there’s no drawing practice anymore past the initial 200 or so radicals, and memorizing the characters is much harder. Besides that, many Hanzi change in a word, like 火, fire, moves into 灰色, gray, pretty well without changing form, but you wouldn’t easily guess that 水, water, forms the leftmost part of 洗, wash (verb). I wouldn’t know any of the above if I didn’t do my research outside of the app. So I know how to write the initial radicals very well, but I’d really like for this app to expand and include writing practice for the characters used in the actual words taught later in Drops, and possibly also include alternate forms of the radicals when they are included as part of a larger character..Version: 7.47

Great Job!I really like how the apps that these created made and how instead of saying the word in your native language first and then saying the word in the other language, it just just says it in the other language. But with this scrips app I would like an option to turn off the romanization so I could just learn how to pronounce without distractions from reading. But over all great work with these apps!.Version: 3.2

Amazing. Love it.Love it..Version: 7.47

Très bienTrès bien pour l’écriture.Version: 7.73

😍😍😍😍Ioxox.Version: 8.60

Excellent Learning Tool, but FinickyThis is a wonderful app! I absolutely adore drops and this is a great companion. I’ve been using this to learn Hanzi radicals, my only problem with this is how finicky the writing detection is. It’s not terrible but some strokes get extremely difficult. If I were to write some of these radicals down myself they’d be considered correct but not in the eyes of this app. Otherwise, I love the little mnemonic pictures that come with the characters along with the translation + pronunciation. If you find drops to be a good learning tool for you I would recommend scripts with my whole heart!.Version: 7.47

Great appI love this app it’s great !.Version: 3.2

GreatFun and easy to use..Version: 3.2

More Ability to PracticeMaybe we can have the option to practice more if we watch optional ads. Like: Do you want to watch an ad to get 5 more minutes of practice?.Version: 3.2

CoolLooks interesting..Version: 5.2

It’s a really good appI really liked the app not just because it’s free it’s fun to learn languages this way..Version: 5.8

Very slow so great for beginnersAnd you can skip the letters you already know I don’t recommend this if you took it in a class and already know how to write the letters. Then it gets boring. Otherwise it’s great! Also it’s only 5 minutes so you can do it whenever and you have enforced breaks. Can be a good thing, especially if you’re busy and prone to procrastination. I recommend it..Version: 3.2

AwesomeBest writing character app. 🙌🏼🙏🙏🙏!!.Version: 4.54

AmazingIt’s is soooooo good nothing to fix.Version: 3.2

PicturesScripts can be memorized better if we can associate them with something visual..Version: 7.47

First-class product for Simplified Mandarin ChineseTo learn to read and write Mandarin Chinese (Simplified), including listening and repeating the proper pronunciation of the characters, bigrams etc., the key is to do it every day, vary the exercises as much as possible and practice, practice, practice. Scripts, a logical “by-product” of the developers’ wonderful Drops app, succeeds in keeping you focused, with solid material and well-managed repetitions. The graphics are clean, beautiful to look at, and efficient for memorization. The app is a pleasure to use. When paired with other tools to maintain and increase your knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, I highly recommend the user puts “Scripts” on a daily reminder. This is a classy product I hope will be around for ever! Thank you!.Version: 4.54

Memorization made FUN!My memory’s not the greatest, so I really struggle to memorize foreign language scripts. I also have a short attention span and get bored easily. This app is the perfect remedy for both problems. I’m memorizing through repetition without getting bored, and my hand doesn’t get sore practicing like it does in long sessions with pen and paper. Best of all, a subscription to Drops is also honored on Scripts, no separate subscription. This app is a lifesaver getting started with “exotic” languages!.Version: 8.39

⭐️Highly RecommendFirst time using this app and it’s quite incredible. I really, really recommend it to people in need of studying their scripts such as Kana, which is where my focus is. You’ll love it and learn every step of the way. 素晴らしいアプリケーション、ありがとう!.Version: 2.6

Herbal PandaThis learning how to write app is both simple and fun whilst learning how to write in another language that feels very different from my own. I would recommend it to others..Version: 4.54

Like a gameI’m Chinese american but I don’t remember how to write a lot of Chinese characters, but this app makes it so much more entertaining unlike some other Chinese learning apps (though this also teaches you to write other languages). I used to use duo lingo but it was always an on and off thing like a few times a month but I’m more motivated to learn using this app so yeah 😛.Version: 7.47

WAY BETTER than Duolingo!!![Learning Korean] Very interactive and words are organized in categories. I like that I can see the romanization of the word along with the Hangeul and it has repetition. This was just 5 minutes of the trial! I usually don’t leave feedback for an app; this app is way better than Duolingo and cost less than them. I actually downloaded Drops because I saw it had writing instruction built in the app, whereas Duolingo doesn’t offer learning how to write characters (for languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean). Wish I could take the money I spent on Duolingo and put it on this..Version: 7.47

WonderfulVivid, effective, easy-to-use.Version: 4.54

Great app!!!This is pretty much the most helpful app I’ve ever experienced, it helps a lot with understanding Korean vowels and syllable blocks, it also teaches you how to write it properly and it shows the translation, so that you can record it on a book, Also highly recommend downloading drops as another platform to expand your learning. Good job.Version: 8.39

Useful with potential to be even better...I mostly use Drops for scripts/alphabets anyway, so this app is great for me! There are a couple of issues: So far it’s seemed a little slow to load diagrams etc., which is a problem when you only have five minutes. Also I am having an issue present in Drops as well, which is that each character(/word) is repeated again and again before moving on. This could be by design, and might work for some people, but I would prefer that each new character be added into the “pool” of learned characters and that this would then alternate/cycle, rather that working on one character for a block of ten-ish rounds at a time (however, someone else using the Drops app has told me they don’t have this issue, so it could in theory just be my device?). I would also love to see more rounds where there is no visual prompt (i.e. the character displayed at the top, or arrows directing your strokes) scattered through the cycle, to act as “tests” of your memorisation—otherwise, it’s easy to rely on those prompts! Either way, I really like the concept and the general structure of having writing practice integrated into the memorisation process, and I hope to see more scripts added soon! :D.Version: 2.6

RelaxingGreat app to learn in a relaxing way!.Version: 3.2

Really HelpfulI downloaded this app just about an hour ago and this is by far one of the best apps i’ve seen to help with writing languages.I’m currently learning how to speak Japanese, but I could not find an app to help with my writing. When i found this app,it helped so much..Version: 8.4

FYay I know Chinese now.Version: 4.54

Learning chinese the easy wayGreat way of learning.Version: 5.8

Amazing :3This app is amazing It’s created by drops which is a language learning app (please get it if you’re learning a language). It has really helped me with learning Japanese and I think it works much better with Drops..Version: 2.6

Good funThe app takes you through the steps gradually and guides you when you make mistakes. It’s easy to use.Version: 4.54

Great appLearning Russian has never been easier..Version: 6.15

Great startI’ve only been using to practise hiragana so far, but would love to see: - support for Apple Pencil on iPad - exercises at smaller (handwriting) scale - ability to switch / mix-up font styles - to this beginner computer fonts and textbook fonts for hiragana such as ki, sa, fu, so and yu can look quite different, it would be good to understand the ‘unbreakable’ rules common to any variants - tutoring tips - going beyond mere pattern tracing, contextual tips explaining the visual rules would be helpful, i.e.stroke 4 should always be longer than stroke 2 - post-exercise analysis - where freeform strokes are shown (rather than within the guide lines), I would appreciate a side by side comparison of my strokes and the ideal lines with discrepancies highlighted Still the best handwriting app I’ve seen by a long shot. Keep the updates coming!.Version: 3.2

Love it!It’s visual and engaging and creates sound memories too <3.Version: 3.2

Early stagesI’ve been using another app ‘Drops’ for about a week and though really enjoying it, finding it hard to remember the Japanese letters. So when I saw this app featured in me of their emails I was excited to try it. Great potential, but ran into two immediate challenges. The app is pretty unforgiving when trying to write the characters without the outline or trace patterns. And I appreciate how tricky it must be to program characters that trace back on themselves like the character for ‘e’. Everyone learns at a different pace, yet this seemed more rushed to move away from the guides to help learn stroke order and patterns and I found it frustrating especially with ‘e’ and ‘a’. I looked for a settings menu that might adjust speed, or always on feature that provides more time to develop pattern memory and order..Version: 6.15

Thumbs up I recommendIt’s really good..Version: 3.2

Initial thoughtsHave been on and off learning Russian. Only my first time using the app but seems really interactive and I like the idea of 5 min a day cap..Version: 6.15

Love Love It!If I could pay the full price I would have in a heart beat. I love the fact that they allow users to use it freely and offer the premium, I think too many applications offer a few “freebies” and then the user at that time doesn’t purchase and soon forgets the application. 🤷‍♀️ This way it continues the use and can allow for more! Love the idea and concept..Version: 3.2

Cool!I've always wanted to learn an asian based language- largely because the structure is so different than English and other romantic/germanic languages. The only problem was, it's kind of hard to start learning words and sentences when you can't even read the letters! This app drills it into your brain, and makes great use of repetition and kinesthetic learning to do so! Highly recommend for anyone like me who's still trying to take that first step towards learning a *foreign* foreign language!.Version: 4.54

Pretty neat!Honestly, I usually get bored with these kinds of stuff, but this is fun, it shows you how to do the writing, it helps you all the way, but while you do it yourself, or while you do it, but it’s THICC, so it’s really fun! I hope to see more development soon!.Version: 7.47

Good AppGood app for memorization.Version: 2.6

As an English speakerAs an english speaker it is very important to learn the alphabet of your target language. We do not have an alphabet where every letter is the same sound and never changes. I love the way scripts teaches! Not only does it have japanese, my target language, it also has Korean and Chinese which I decided I might as well learn. I hope to get there and Scripts is definitely going to help! 5/5.Version: 3.2

Its great! Its very helpful for beginners like me! I really recommend this too everyone whos struggling with writing it on paper!.Version: 8.4

Playing this to learn how to speak and write in ChineseDownloaded this because my boyfriend is Chinese, so I thought maybe I could give it a try. When we tried it he thought it was very cute, fun, and actually a bit annoying as it is repetitive. But what does he know, he’s known these words all his life but not me!! I find it really nice, and the interface is great. Keep it up!!!.Version: 2.6

Fun Way To LearnI find the app is user friendly, using it for 10 mins now and already amazed..Version: 4.54
