✓ It’s a good appHello everyone reading this. I personally love this app because it helps me a lot when Duolingo wouldn’t, all Duolingo has taught me is the letters but not how to use them. Most other alternatives either make you pay to use most features or has a lot of adds. This app does none of those. I particularly love how it allows you to initially choose the words you want to learn, and it works back around to the ones you dismissed. It makes it very engaging and allows the learner a certain level of control in their education. The multiple types of study task when learning only add to it further and make it all the more rewarding. ✓ Good app - but...I really enjoy the interface and the way words/Vocab is divided into the different sections. It helps you really focus your learning and makes you feel like you are conquering small chunks as you go along. I loved it so much I decided to subscribe for 1 year! I’m using this to learn Arabic and for the games controller I believe the audio file is incorrect! The word is مركب but the pronunciation you have in the app is “ayoon” lol. I sent an email about this a while ago using the feedback option within the app and I’ve had no response. ✓ 3.5 or 4 starsI loved this app for learning the alphabet, but I’m very disappointed that it doesn’t use the Arabic script during word learning. It is not useful for me to learn to spell the romanized words — I want to be able to learn the language and read and write. After the alphabet, we are thrown in to learning words without going over enough details for letter learning, and I really wish we were able to spell words out one letter at a time to truly learn the pronunciations and spellings. I hope this happens in a future update. I love the interface and the animations — the app is very fun otherwise!.Version: 28.7
✓ Great app for phrase learning and recognitionI've tried a few Arabic language learning applications, and Drops uses quick and repetitive approaches to understanding and learning words and phrases. This is particularly helpful to train the brain away from translating words from English to Arabic and instead immersing the brain in Arabic words using pronunciation, text and pictures (which are all the ways we acquire our first languages). ✓ Reviewing Drops Arabic lesson 1.It’s a good app, but there are a couple of things that need finessing. You have to teach the alphabet, guys! And while the voice is nice, sometimes it’s a bit too quick, and sometimes when she’s pronouncing the word in Arabic, she’s saying something different than how it’s written in the English alphabet, for example, the word for ‘egg’ is pronounced as if it has a ‘d’ at the end, but your she seems to be pronouncing the last word with a ‘b’ at the end.Version: 29.14

The word food processor is about 6 words long. And many other words have the same difficulty. I would love a feature that allowed you to Disable certain words. It makes a very boring aspect of language learning fun and addictive however I feel like I was given too many words to learn too quickly. I think there should be an option to stop learning new vocabulary for a while because it was too much for me to take in. I studied MSA and this helps tremendously with my reading skills and it uses repetition in various ways to incorporate new words into your vocabulary. There are picture associations which are used across each of their language apps to encourage you to understand the meaning. I’m a visual learner, so this helps me to remember the words when I need to recall them. I use both the Arabic version and have also downloaded the Russian app as well. ✓ A bit fastExcellent playful way to learn vocabulary. You won’t learn Arabic script though. Each word comes up with the Arabic script version , and also a romanised/Latin alphabet version which is very useful for pronunciation so big tick for that. However unless you already know some Arabic script the Arabic version is pretty pointless as the characters won’t make sense and they come and go much too fast to even look at for more than a second. I have learnt a little of the Arabic script from DuoLingo so that helps , but I think if I hadn’t I woukd feel frustrated by this aspect of Drops… I think that’s ok as long as you bear in mind the aim of the app is learning the words not teaching you the alphabet and how to read Arabic. One big frustration is that everything changes SOOOOO fast and you barely have time to take in the word and the fact you got it right and it has vanished instantly from the screen and another word has popped up super fast. If you get it right no sooner have you hit your answer then it vanishes. It woukd be nice to have a chance to look at the word and make a memory association with the picture. I find the pace feels a bit frenetic and stressy. Overall though nice concept and will complement other language apps well..Version: 34.80

I do have some feedback on how to make this app better. 1. Be able to download the learning material for offline use. I travel a lot and there are many times where I get some offline time and have time to practice but the app wont work because I have no internet 2. Make this app UI friendly for iPad. Words and images are always correlated and this helps different types of memories to approach the language in their own way. I like the variety of exercises and the fact there is not a predicted sequence of those. This challenges my brain in a nicer way. I find the app helpful not to learn the language properly, but to help me in a “primitive” communication with my paediatric patient: with children only basic words are needed to make sure the essential needs are supported. At the moment I don’t have time to follow a full language course, therefore I thank this app to help me knowing the basic words to support me in my daily life in the intensive care. ✓ Amazing app, please consider adding Arabic dialectsOne day I hope to see this company make categories to learn words specific to the various dialects of Arabic. This app teaches MSA (Modern Standard Arabic). This is great if you intend to watch a political speech, but it leaves you unprepared to deal with daily conversations. Talking to a local Arab on the streets in MSA is almost the equivalent of talking to your English friends in Shakespearean English. It just sound funny because it’s so overly formal. Many words and pronunciations are different within the dialects. The two biggest dialects are Leventine and Egyptian. Khaleeji Gulf is popular as well, and very hard to find study material for. Add these dialects and that’ll just be there icing on the cake for this amazing app, since most apps focus purely on MSA. People would probably buy the full version in masses just for that selling point alone since most people learning Arabic struggle to find decent study material for dialects after they get done ironing out the basics of MSA..Version: 29.14
