KTM MY RIDE Navigation for Positive User Reviews

Works with my 2020 Adventure RI was hesitant to buy it with all the bad reviews but everything I’ve tried works. The only thing that is weird is the font/words. Everything has _ instead of spaces. Also if you have headphones paired to your phone you can skip songs but if you pause and play it stops playing on your headphone and starts on the headphones paired to your bike instead. If they fix those two thing I’ll change my review to 5 stars..Version: 2.3.3

Just updated. Fixed localization for CanadaMuch better !!.Version: 2.3.4

Easy!Works exactly as advertised. Easy setup. Map includes lots of off-road trails and will get you to your destination, and waypoints along the way! Easy to switch to ‘off-roads ok’ when necessary.Version: 2.3.4

Zero issues2020 KTM 790 R, iPhone X, Sena 20S Evo. Zero problems with downloads, pairing bike, iPhone, and Sena. Shut everything off and relaunched three times without issue. Have used the mapping feature but have not planned and followed a route as yet. Will adjust rating if needed after further testing, but initial review stands at five stars based on early experience..Version: 2.3.4

KTM my rideDoes exactly what it says on the tin. I have bought a KTM because I am young (in my mind) and flexible. I do NOT ride a BMW. As such, I do not (yet) need turn by turn sat nav, or route navigation which will get me from A to B. My eyesight is good enough to be able to read signs, so distances and directions are not a problem for me. I can follow the simple, but effective instructions on my screen and, combined with the information of the road signs I can easily enough navigate. This app was £7.99, so a fraction of the cost for a TomTom. Would I get to the final destination any faster with a TomTom? Nope! Would I rather have an additional bracket which could distract me? Nope! This app easily connects to my screen and shows me basic information. I do not need more. If you have been riding (or driving) a BMW before, then this App might not be good enough, so go and spend your cash on a proper Satnav. My only point of criticism is, there isn’t a ‘twisty road’ setting (as of yet), but I’m sure the developers are reading all the reviews and hopefully will make an update with twisties available soon..Version: 2.1.3

Sat navI have found this great , it is a basic sat nav but works really well No complaints , also love the very easy waypoint additions Reroutes really quickly 👍👍.Version: 2.3.1

SearchApp crashes when a search using scrolling is carried out. Please update..Version: 2.3.0

Really rather good if you accept if for what it isPicked up a 1290 SAS and thought I’d give this app a whirl. Firstly, connectivity of phone (iPhone XS Max) and headset (SENA SRL) is a cinch. The trick is to kill the original pairing between phone and headset, then pair phone to bike and then headset to bike. Worked first time and connects back up every time. No issues Navigation is just enough for what I need. Many many waypoints can be added meaning I can customise my route if not happy with the options it provides originally. Graphical info is perfect, as are the voice prompts (not in metric as some reviewers have mentioned - unless you want them that way) Music is handled simply but well - just ensure you’re streaming a good playlist as you can’t select albums / artist - just linear track by track selection - sensible on a bike Inbound calls are handled well - although I miss being able to voice activate a speed dial as I could before. You also can’t initiate last number redial - no outbound calling capability - again probably a wise choice My only criticism and one that KTM should address is that you can’t kill the navigation route without stopping and doing it from your phone. The only way of getting rid of the voice instruction seems to be to turn the volume right down - but then it does this for music / calls. If you want music and turn it back up the nav voice is still there and takes precedent All in all I’m rather pleased and give this 5 stars for the vision and little bit of innovation KTM are showing.Version: 2.3.1

Great App - Works Well - Should be FreeFrom day 1 I had zero problems with this app. otter than figuring out how it works, user errors and experience. It works perfect for me and I find no need to use other nav. apps like Google Maps or Waze. Connection to my iPhone 11 is automatic and if you mount your phone to your handlebar you can see the map directional guidance on the phone with turn-by-turn guidance on your KTM display, very cool and precise. Unlike other reviewers, I don’t experience any lag time issues with turns. If you have a weak cellular connection or older iPhone with Bluetooth 3 then it might be due to that vs the app. My iPhone 11 works great. This app also lets you download maps so you can navigate off-line, great for rural areas and I bet it will help with anyone experiencing lag time issues. I have not tried the voice nav guidance yet. The only reason I gave this app a 4 star vs 5 is because I believe KTM should not charge a fee to download it, especially after buying one of their new motorcycles. It’s still worth the $8 and I’m glad I have it..Version: 2.3.4

Useful But With BugsReally handy having the turn by turn instructions on the screen. Some issues:- 1. It avoids motorways even if you have that option turned off. This is a major pain. 2. If you download a Map (UK) the app crashes, even though it says I have 7Gb available..Version: 2.3.0

Works for me.Not sure why people are having issues. Works well on my 2019 1290 super adv R. I use it to navigate all over Alberta and B.C throughout the mountains and all the KTM dealerships on the map if I need them was a great add on. It works almost as well but not as smooth as my BMW connected app but it’s still good for turn by turn navigation. My only gripe is occasionally it will want me to take a ramp off the main highway then back onto the highway. Slightly annoying. Could use more onscreen layout..Version: 2.3.4

Does the jobSimple nav. Turn by turn navigation will take you wherever u want. Done a 120 miles trip with no mistakes. Directions are clear and accurate..Version: 2.3.4

App seems to be working in CanadaI have not connected phone to bike yet but the app seems to be fixed for Canada at least. Downloaded the maps I wanted and navigation appears to be working, text it all fixed. Looking forward to trying with bike..Version: 2.3.4

BrilliantJust bought a KTM SDR 2020 and nobody seemed to know if this would work on my new bike, not even the KTM dealer! But anyway I bumped into a guy who had the very same bike as me and he took the plunge and down loaded it. So I did just that and the sat nav works a treat, even better than I imagined. When I tried it out it sent me A roads and not the motorways which was spot on. So don’t hesitate and try it for your selves.Version: 2.3.4

Not working for me. (Duke 390 2019)The phone is connected to the bike but the app doesn’t recognise it in the add bike section and continues to tell me to go to pair through my general settings and Bluetooth (done that and playing music, taking calls.) Will raise the issue in the first service. Perhaps it's a bike firmware issue (i.e. the app is ahead of the firmware and doesn’t recognise it because of that.).Version: 2.3.1

A little more polish is neededSpoiled with free Google Maps/navigation. Paired easily with my 2018 SD 1290r. Seems to work fine so far. When in doubt, I go back to Google. With Google being free and this costs money, it could have some more bells and whistles. I am happy, though..Version: 2.1.3

KTM My Ride Nav AppI don’t normally do reviews, but with all the negative ones attached to this app, I thought it deserved a little better. I found the app to be quite good. I have an iPhone 8+ and a 2019 KTM SuperAdventure S. I had no issues with pairing them and getting the app working through the TFT screen. Planning rides within the app is quite simple and it allows for your own personal variations/detours letting you put in waypoints along the route. The only negative thing here is that the waypoints max out at about 6. More would be handy for longer planned journeys. The navigation information on the TFT screen is minimal, but I find the ‘turn by turn’ feature to be enough if you don’t mind not looking at an actual map like a traditional gps nav setup. I have not (and don’t plan to) use the audio feature of the app, so I cannot comment on it. Is it worth the money? Maybe, maybe not. But the fact that I can have navigation on my screen without having to mount my phone or a gps nav system to the handlebars wins me over..Version: 2.3.4

Works Really WellPaired with my 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R. I can leave my phone in my pocket and see turn by turn on the dash. The nav from this app works well enough. Off-line maps are large as you have to download ALL of the US, at 6GB. But I can pre-plan any rides through the mountains. Overall I’m very happy with the App!.Version: 2.3.4
