KTM MY RIDE Navigation for Negative User Reviews

BMW leaving KTM behindI just sold my BMW and bought a KTM and I have to say that having spent that much money on a bike and being made to pay for the app, that it is so far behind the competition, you can’t even use it landscape. Come on KTM please catch up, I am sorry to say that this app and the limited features are really poor. GH..Version: 2.3.4

KTM, please hire new App developersMy app doesn’t work. i can connect to my bike just fine; it shows my phone’s battery and cell signal, and my phone’s Settings says it’s connected and sharing Contacts and all that, but when i go into the app, it doesn’t recognize the connection... please KTM, fix this..Version: 2.3.1

No landscape modePlease create an update that supports landscape mode!!!.Version: 2.3.1

Doesn’t workBike is connected via Bluetooth but app shows No Bike Connected. Seems like a common issue looking at other reviews..Version: 2.3.4

You guys need to sort your app out pleaseCan you make your app as excellent as your bikes? My bike (390 Duke) has KTM MY RIDE settings on it so I jumped to download the app and $13 later it doesn’t recognise the bike. Is the programming between your bikes so different that you couldn’t manage to put the coding into each bike that obviously already has some extent of “MY RIDE” coding?.Version: 2.3.4

Need landscape mode!App works fine with ‘19 SDGT. Zero problems connecting iPhone XR. Connects every time. NAV is fine, gets you where you want to go. However...app does not support landscape mode on phone. KTM, if you’re listening....PLEASE, PLEASE update the app to include landscape mode!!! Would be 5 stars for me IF it supported landscape mode..Version: 2.3.1

Where to start!Lots of potential but just awful. Not very intuitive, and no instructions on how to use, but once you’ve got it figured it works fine to plan routes. Very easy to setup to connect to bike, but in my case nothing is actually displayed on the dash once a route has been planned, which makes the app useless. It only displays on the phone! How do I get my money back? If I’d bought this from a shop it would be returned. **** all support and the only support is the FAQ section which is useless..Version: 2.3.3

Useful but needs improvementsBy default , it avoids highways. There is no setting to override it. Ktm dash is awesome. I used to use mobile but now I prefer the dash. Works offline. Needs improvement. For example, uploading a fox file. Planning a ride in the desktop etc.Version: 2.3.4

Completely unacceptableI recent purchased a new 390 Duke which is advertised as compatible with KTM My Ride app. This clearly has not been tested with the iPhone. I have an iPhone XR and it simply will not connect. The developer help link doesn’t work. Completed unacceptable, I can’t believe this app still features on their website. Rubbish..Version: 2.3.4

Doesn’t workConnected to bike via Bluetooth. Paid and downloaded the app and it just says no bike connected. Phone says I’m connected. Bike says I’m connected but app says I’m not. 2018 duke 390. Wasted my money getting the app..Version: 2.3.1

SIMPLY DOSENT WORK !! Duke 390 2017After much debate I decided to buy the app even though the reviews wasn’t great it didn’t work at all wouldn’t find bike bike even although it had been paired correct about 10 times. Don’t waste your time or money. Should be faultless for £8.Version: 2.3.4

App still does not work !Bought bike new in July last year , downloaded app and worked good for 1 day . Since then it no longer will connect to the bike. Says no bike listed. My phone is till connected , shows my battery and signal. Tried repairing , deleting app, deleting phone , restoring , new install and a whole new phone. App still will not connect to bike , still says no bikes listed. Stupid . $20k Motorcycle with GPS navigation as advertised and it doesn’t work . FALSE advertisement . Dealership says it’s a software issue with app developer. I have since contacted an attorney since KTM falsely advertised GPS Navigation which was the selling point of me buying this their product..Version: 2.3.0

Bugs...1. My 790 Duke is set to Imperial measurements, as is the app (iOS Version), but navigation audio uses Metric. 2. In the KTM My Ride display mode on the bike, the speed-reading indicates KPH, though the actual speed shown (the numbers) is MPH. 3. Audio instructions seem to kick in a second after the first word of the sentence. So I get a partial audio instruction. Quite irritating and distracting. (I’m using a BT KitSound Race headphones paired with the bike.) 4. Answering calls takes a bit longer than it should; caller ID appears on bike display, but ability to answer takes a couple of seconds. Would be nice if it was made clearer that the app only works in audio mode on the 790 Duke, and no on-screen directions appear on the bike’s display..Version: 2.1.3

Works OK but has shortcomingsThe app generally works quite well and I don’t have any issues with delays like some users reported. I downloaded the map set for NA it’s 6.5 Gb. Works well. However there are some flaws. There is no landscape mode (please add this!) and the app does not offer the option for keeping the screen on in navigation mode like most other NAV apps. This has to be set on the phone which is inconvenient..Version: 2.3.4

How do I get a refund.Paid for an app. Orange ktm screen. Instant crash and close. Every time. Click dev support... sorry this page no longer exists. Seriously..Version: 2.3.4

Doesn’t workAs others have found, this app doesn’t work. The phone is paired with the bike (2018 Duke 390) but the app says “no bike connected”.Version: 2.3.0

Waste of moneyWaste of money, sat nav is basic, the display does not show in 3d, no road and exit numbers, a huge disappointment..Version: 2.3.4

Don’t buy if you have the 125 dukeReally great that it only becomes apparent this app is useless for the 125 until AFTER paying the 7.99 for it🙄. For music and phone functionality on the smaller bikes you don’t need the app just pair Bluetooth normally..Version: 2.1.3

Utter rubbishShould be a refund given for this. Even though phone is connected to bike and signal strength and battery level showing on screen, KTM My Ride says no bike connected. Absolute tosh..Version: 2.3.0

Needs work and not worth the moneyNeeds landscape mode.... the bikes don’t fit a map in portrait mode below the windscreen.... it’s not a hard fix surely.... waypoints would be good as well.Version: 2.3.4

Just terrible, don’t waste your moneyThis is an awful app. Navigation is just insane, like trying to have me use a frontage road for miles instead of the highway next to it. Everything has to be done very manually on it. Just useless. Also, it’s missing the road names in the directions. While other apps say “turn right on Maple street,” this just says “turn right.”.Version: 2.3.4

Won’t connect to my 2018 Super Duke RI successfully pair my phone as well as my helmet to the “TFT and it works flawlessly for receiving phone calls. My bike does have my ride on the menu and even while the phone is paired to the bike, this application does not see or connect to the bike....search and you will find a video explaining that this version won’t connect ... so use your olds version until Ktm provides an update on the bike side ...what a waste of money..Version: 2.3.1

Maps Do Not Work in ColombiaIt is not easy to find an address in Colombia. The format of the Colombian addresses is not compatible with the app making it impossible to find a location and navigate to it unless you point it on the map. Please review the format or make it available to use Waze maps with the app..Version: 2.3.4

KtmTotal let down spend thousands on a bike then spend another £7.99 for nothing phone connects app doesn’t Not good enough Ktm 😡😡😡.Version: 2.3.0

Still in BetaThe app does function as it should however the UI still needs many hours of refinement for better navigation of app and easier accessibility..Version: 2.1.2

Doesn’t workNe fonctionne tout simplement pas Ne se connecte pas à la moto et de toute façon l’application ne trouve aucun itinéraire... gardez vos dollars !!.Version: 2.3.1

Ruining the ktm name..It would be nice if they made it compatible with more bikes that have the same tft screen so I could use it on my 390 cruising around town too..Version: 2.3.1

Stability and guidingApp stalls or quits from time to time, disabling navigation while riding, annoying. Turn by turn navigation is not comfortable, as highways are mentioned by their names and not numbers+direction (i.e.N, W). All signs have numbers and never names! Please fix these issues or allow other navigation app to connect with a bike. My ride is 2019 SuperDuke GT..Version: 2.3.1

Duke 390Shame It can not be used on the Duke 390.Version: 2.3.4

Nothing specialPay the $7.99 and realize you get nothing special. Tried to download the maps for the USA and get a notice that I don’t have enough memory. While connecting to my bike, nothing special. Won’t play my music- difficult to problem-solve. What a waste of time..Version: 2.3.4

Don’t even work!!What waste £7.99 got told 125 duke will support the app and doesn’t even work!!!!! Would like refund what a joke!!!!!!.Version: 2.3.0

Not compatible with the 1290 Super Duke RA basic Satnav that would be of some use if it was actually compatible with the R..Version: 2.3.0

PoorThe app seems to integrate easily with my 1290, but the GPS map functionality is very basic. It does not allow for multiple waypoints, it doesn’t give any choice of routes or types of roads etc. Given it is for motorcycling, including adventure riding, it falls well short of the mark. It isn’t worth the $13 I paid for it, but I’m hoping future updates will improve its functionality..Version: 2.1.2

Why no horizontal rotation!?I cannot use the app in landscape mode! - portrait mode does not work with my setup (KTM bike, KTM Mount, KTM Software) so I find myself using an alternative. Sort it out! Something so simple for a software developer to rectify. The responses I am getting back from KTM regarding this are poor and along the lines of ‘not our problem, contact the app developer’ but when trying to contact the app developer through the app store the hyperlink just takes me to the KTM website! Who uses maps in portrait mode seriously? Poor customer relations..Version: 2.3.0

I can’t believe that KTM have put their name to this rubbishAppearance 8/10 Ease of use 8/10 Sense of direction 0/10 Expect to spend all day in housing estate cul-de-sacs, even when you’ve told it to allow highways, seriously just toss a coin at each junction, it’s more reliable.Version: 2.3.1

Skip The AppWhat a disappointment- very poorly thought out app, no moving map shows in the dash, just the next turn. Really? The app is so badly done that I’ve gone back to simply mounting my iPhone on the handlebars and gave up entirely on using the beautiful TFT dash on my 2019 SDGT. I hope they revise the app soon, since music controls through the switchgear is fantastic, but navigation is more important to me..Version: 2.3.1

Simple but annoyingSet to imperial but talks in metric. Not good. Now crashes when planning the route..Version: 2.3.0

Still not fixedVersions 2.3.1, 2.3.2, 2.3.3 all have an issue where the localization for Canada messes up the menu text. Seems like a simple fix, but nothing so far. For a motorcycle routing app why can’t I select a curvey route? That’s disappointing.Version: 2.3.3

Paid for this dasnt even workI got bluetooth connected but when i go add bike nothing shows up please fix Ktm superduke 1290 R 2019.Version: 2.3.4

UselessThis app does nothing but display your PHONES location. Save $7.99 and just pull up apple maps. It does not connect to my 1290 Superduke as it should..Version: 2.3.0

Very unreliable and lacking features1. Display is very slow to update . Unlike using other gps mapping apps I can often go past a turning point or exit before the app updates that I was supposed to turn there (like if it’s without a few hundred feet of a previous turn) 2. Display on TFT sometimes hangs and doesn’t update without indication that it did - it’s like it looses Bluetooth connection but then suddenly will reconnect perhaps miles past a direction change. 3. In general routing is less reliable and optimums than other apps like google maps. 4. the directional arrows don’t show enough detail especially on highways with multiple exits 5. for some reason KTM has chosen to use Highway names that don’t appear on signs rather than interstate or highway numbers (eg veterans highway or Ronald Reagan freeway) 6. The map updates are not segmented and only delivered in large packages making updates take a very long time and almost impossible to download unless you are on a very fast WiFi connection. 7. when using the navigation there is no display of phone battery power or signal..Version: 2.3.3

Needs to be able to change from always pointing northThis app needs work it’s beta and needs refinement look around to other apps.Version: 2.1.2

Does not workI purchase a brand new 2018 KTM 1290 SAR. The app does not connect to my bike. Apparently, I need to take the $20,000 bike back to the dealership and pay some more money for 4 hours of labor to install a software update it should have already had. I’m assuming the app will work with the new software..Version: 2.1.3

Complete junk, don’t buy itTotal waste. Why can’t these guys hire a developer to make this work?.Version: 2.3.4

Great bike—bad app!Buy the 1290 with the TFT display because it is a wonderful bike! Save your time and money and avoid the app. Among its many flaws, fully covered by all the reviews, let me add that the app will not stay running on my iPhone X. In the app’s map mode while driving the screen goes black as per my iPhone settings. Within the app and with settings there is no way to have the screen stay lit. Other maps offer of this setting choice but not KTM. As a result this app offers no value for navigating while driving the motorcycle. What a shame that such a great motorcycle company is willing to put out such a poor interface!.Version: 2.1.2

Keeps crashing on iPhoneWaste of money sort it out Ktm.Version: 2.3.4

Potential But Needs ImprovementLots of potential with this app but it needs improvement by KTM. With proper investment and development, KTM could turn this into a simple and reliable navigation tool..Version: 2.3.3

Quelle perte d’argent !.Version: 2.1.2

Waste of money..I just sent $8 to somewhere i don't know because I got nothing in return. The screen on my 390 Duke says its paired with my iPhone 8 plus but the app has no function. Nothing. Zilch. When you try and “add” your bike, the app doesn't recognize it. Since theres no support, i just sent $8 to KTM for nothing in return. I love my 390 but its little things like this that will have me buying a Yamaha when i get my next bigger bike..Version: 2.3.1

Absolutely crap !KTM has the ability to design MOTO GP bikes. It has ZERO ability to release a proper functional APP. You should be embarrassed KTM! Canada Thanks.Version: 2.3.3

Waste of money until Super Adventure software updatedOct 2019 Update: Many users including myself complained we were unable to connect to the bike with the software. Was finally able to connect once updated the firmware on my 2017 Super SAR to latest release 13#.##. Was previously 33.33. App does work but not great. Eg if set waypoint but drive near it but not to it and continue towards next waypoint it won’t skip to this next waypoint. Keeps redirecting you back so have pull over, pull out phone and tell it to skip the waypoint. Still handy but needs lot of work to be good Aug 2019: This won’t work with older motorcycle firmware versions. I’ve been trying to get my firmware updated since May 2019 but my dealer can’t even make his XC2 computer operate to connect to the bike. KTM support even for the dealers is unbelievably poor in Montreal and competency of dealer with software (Contant) is questionable also. Hopefully better elsewhere. The bike is fantastic but this software and KTM/ dealer support is ridiculously bad.Version: 2.3.1

Love the idea, but why can’t I import gpx files? So the app works decent enough and love not having to rely on my phone BUT only if I create a route through the app. Apparently I cannot import gpx files to the app which is pretty much useless if I’m planning a backcountry adventure ride using tracks from another app/user..Version: 2.3.4

No Excuse for an App This BadI run a marketing agency and work in this industry, with all the great development tools available, there’s no excuse for an app built this poorly. Don’t waste your money. I’m sure we will never hear about it from KTM..Version: 2.3.0

Bad after updateDoesn‘t work after last update Need to fix the problem.Version: 2.3.0

A Few Issues...Two things, the labels don’t display properly on iPhone 6+ on iOS 11.2 (but they do on 8+). Also, even when units in the app are selected as imperial US, the voice guidance still in uses kilometers. There is no where I can find a contact for the developer to report these bugs. I am looking forward to when this app is really refined..Version: 2.1.0

Waste of time and moneyAbsolutely useless app does not connect to bike phone will pair with bike but Won’t display any maps and app won’t recognize bike. From such a technologically advanced company you would think they could develop good app to go with bike... don’t waste your 7.99 like I did and buy stand alone gps.Version: 2.1.3

WhyWhy make a gps app for motorcycles and not have the ability up import gps tracks or build custom routes. 2 stars just because the the app does work great for music but the gps side is complete garbage..Version: 2.3.4

Doesn’t pair, doesn’t workGo to the nearest diner and buy a sandwich for the $7.99 instead of throwing it away on this app. I cant pair the app with the bike. My phone pairs to the bike fine, the app never sees the bike. This is basic functionality and it’s broken. 2018 SAS cost $17k and a promised app integration will not work. I’ll visit the dealer and maybe I’ll get a tee shirt or something out of this, but the waste of my time I’m not getting back. Run away from this crap..Version: 2.1.3

No stars if it was an option.Huge let down from ktm. Not much else to say. It’s terrible. If you miss a turn it does not recalculate instead it has you return to the point of the missed direction. Disappointing..Version: 2.3.4

No Navi for Duke 390I bought this app because I thought I could use the Navi on my duke 390 screen but you only can on the 1290. If also literally drains your battery! Just a waste of money..Version: 2.3.0

Very simple a-to-b navSo, you’ve got your KTM adventurer and want to explore the world? Go ahead, but don’t rely on this app. Yeah it’s fancy it can show your next turn on the dash - but the app isn’t really that impressive; it is very basic. App-wise, it’s not always logic selection. Example: when starting the app, you see the app with your current location, start browsing around, and you find a place to go to. How do you select it? You can’t. You have to use the search function, so start browsing around again on the map, then you can select your destination. Download of offline maps seems to be limited to 12gb, despite you’ve got more space available on your phone. If your bike doesn’t support dash functionality you can still use the phones screen - but only in portrait. Once route is started, you can only exit from it. It’s not all just negative- there’s positives, too: You can save your route. You can add additional waypoints You can move waypoints in different order (although you can’t move and scroll in the list of waypoints at the same time, so you can only move it 4 spaces at the time) Very quick route calculation Suggestions: GPX import Integrate with an online route planner; myRouteApp, Scenic, Furkot etc.Version: 2.1.3

My rideRefuses to connect to the bike even though it’s clearly paired with the phone the app is totally useless.Version: 2.3.4

Very unhappy, disappointed and feel misledI just purchased a new KTM 1290 and was told this "KTM MY RIDE" would work with the motorcycle. I did not have the expectation that it was perfect but that at least it worked. IT DOES NOT. In fact when I took delivery of the motorcycle the KTM dealer could not get it to work and I felt they were embarrassed as they promised it would work. The dealer and KTM is aware of the complete failure. A upgrade is promised by KTM (?) by early 2019..Version: 2.1.3

Does not work on duke 125Avoid if you don’t own the select few bikes this supports, will certainly not work on a duke 125.Version: 2.3.1

Good until you need to stop or rerouteThe navigation is simple and works well. BIG BUT, there are no controls from the bike to stop or change navigation. It’s infuriating to have to pull over and stop navigation on the phone, to prevent it continually trying to reroute you. It also suffers from missing live info about road closures or road works: the sort of thing we suffer a lot at the moment as they try and expand the a roads near me. A simple ‘stop navigation’ on the bike would make this much less annoying..Version: 2.3.1

Terrible appThis app should have never been released. Ktm May be a world class motorcycle manufacturer but they couldn’t build an app to save their lives. Ui is barely understandable. Bluetooth functionality is very poor. KTM PLEASE FIX THESE PROBLEMS.Version: 2.1.3

They could do so much with this display but didn’t.So much potential with the screen on the sar but they have done so little. Also the ap does. It have the space to download the United States maps so offline mode is not an option..Version: 2.1.3

KTM My RideThe app lacks functionality for navigation. It doesn’t allow import or export of .gpx files. Within the app it plots a route to a destination but there doesn’t appear to be the function to set a destination with “via points”, so you can’t plot from London to Leeds via Oxford, you have to plot to Oxford, then when you get there plot to Leeds. However, it does work well within these limits..Version: 2.3.4

Need more functions for adventure ridingI used the first version of the app. The stability of the app has improved. It is simple to use and fine for road bikes but lacks functions for adventure riders. Eg import gpx files. Cannot understand why ktm do not partner with other navigation apps and allow those to be used. Eg google, Rever etc..Version: 2.3.4

Rubish!Huge fan in general. This app however is an embarrassment. One of only two things you ever developed that you really should have applied yourself to a little more..Version: 2.3.4

Listen to other reviewers—Needs options for routesWas excited to give this a try. First time out, works ok but has room for improvement. Needs an option to use highways/ toll roads. The default is to use surface streets and this cannot be changed or altered. Also if you decide to find app support- it’s non-existent on their website. Just gives the user an error message saying that page is beyond their reach. If I had to do over, I would save the money and skip the app.Version: 2.3.4

I’d give this ZERO stars if I couldThis app is absolute garbage, doesn’t work with my 2017 KTM duke 390. Doesn’t even have room on app to download maps use the maps. Don’t waste your money like I did!.Version: 2.3.4

Works but at moment only simplyIt seems to work ok on simple UK routes fairly well and is nice to have voice via phone on headset as talks clear instructions display on bike dash good but doesn’t show junctions just directions. As mentioned in other comments speaks in KM even when display set to miles. You can not get it to plan abroad from the UK it seems as the sea gets in the way. I can see where I want to go and the satellite view is better than other maps but it would be nice to know it works before embarking on the trip. I hope these will be fixed in future updates as the concept is very good and the app is a great addition to a marvellous motorcycle. Thanks KTM..Version: 2.1.2

Missing text labels on buttons in iOSText on the app buttons are missing. The app displays code snippets (e.g., “terrain_text_label_here”) instead of displaying proper English text labels (such as “Terrain”, “Satellite”, etc). This bug was not fixed with the latest app update..Version: 2.3.0

KTM my ride 1290RApp works as advertised. It annoying if you deviate from proposed route it never recalculates to your new route. It will try for hours to take you back to the original route. Then you finally have to pull over to disable it or start a new route. Come on KTM just let apple maps link with the TFT. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. There are great mapping sources already available..Version: 2.1.2

Doesn’t work on Duke 390??Please make this app compatible with Duke 390. It’s frustrating to be a KTM customer but not have all features/add-ons available per bike. I love my bike but this nav app would be awesome to have if needed..Version: 2.3.4

Broken App2019 Duke 390 and iPhone 6s I can not rate any of the actual features in this app because it fails to ever pair properly. My phone is definitely paired to the bikes Bluetooth as I can control music playing on my phone using the control pad on the bike. The app always shows “no bike connected”. Unpaired and re-paired the phone and bike 20-30 times and the app has never picked up the bike. Requested a refund..Version: 2.3.4

Terrible navigationInaccurate. Non sensible routing regardless of settings. Unreliable. Support lacking. KTM should be embarrassed putting their name on this, especially considering how good the bikes are. Requires a helmet headset to work..Version: 2.1.3

Continued text button problem! With the new 2.31 version installed, I was hoping the iOS problems would be fixed, but no! It still needs to fix the text labels of the buttons in the app for iOS devices. It still shows text not the correct app button and description. KTM, you sell a premium product, that should also include the software. The dealer was also unable to get this addressed. Please fix this!.Version: 2.3.1

Horrible!I can’t say how very disappointed I am with this app. Downloading their maps can take days or never. I have yet to see actually updated a map without downloading the map all over again. Their server needs some serious updating. This app needs some serious work. My phone does a better job..Version: 2.3.4

Only worked onceI installed and used the app one time. it was great. but now it says it needs a map update, but won't complete the update, and it won't route me to locations saying there map doesn't know any roads in my area. so basically the software does not work. please update your software, the interface is great when it works correctly!.Version: 2.3.4

TerribleApp doesn’t connect at least 60% of the time, had all the updates to the app and software on the bike, still no good. Bluetooth connects to bike, but the app still refuses to connect so I can’t use navigation through the app. TERRIBLE.Version: 2.3.4

DisappointedIt doesn’t allow any interface with google maps which would be handy. You need to type the destination :/ 1star for the idea.Version: 2.3.4

MisleadingBought a KTM Superduke 1290R (gen 2). Within the dashboard navigation on the bike it stated KTM my ride feature was available to use. I thought great I’ll get the my ride all for turn by turn navigation. Unfortunately after buying the app and spending the best part of 15 minutes trying to get the app to connect with the bike it just wouldn’t work. I later found out that it’s not supported on my bike. I found this very misleading and further details information should be available on compatibility..Version: 2.3.4

KTM my ride appThe app is great for as far as the Satnav goes but the playing g of music is a but glitchy. It has the pauses when playing music and I suspect that it’s due to over buffering. If this could be fixed than the system would be just great. It would also be good if users of the Scala Pack Talk heads could use the radio while connected to the bike. Once the headset is connected to the bike via Bluetooth the radio function is no loner accessible as a part of the Scala Pack Talk menu..Version: 2.1.3

Waste of moneySimilar to what others are saying, this app is no good and really should be pulled until fixed. The bike doesn’t recognise my phone and my phone doesn’t recognise the bike (iPhone 11 and 390 Adventure)..Version: 2.3.4

The App is OK but ...Firstly, it really doesn’t matter if the app is any good if expensive KTM bikes forget phone pairings every time they are switched off and their displays don’t even display phone battery when Nav is in use - despite a space on screen for this piece of data. Where is the quality control, the validation etc. Anyhow, as a simply navigation app with way points and some route preference, it is ok. The ability to use offline apps is good. Why people who spend £16000+ on a bike should have to pay to use built in features remains a mystery. KTM showing a lack of respect for its customers - again..Version: 2.3.1

Not workingIt connects to my phone. I can see in my iPhone system settings is connected and also in the dashboard bike. But when I open the app it keeps saying no bike connected. Rubbish.Version: 2.3.4

Bad design, unreliable functionalityKTM, don’t let the teenagers design or write the apps for this fantastic bike. Get a motorcyclist to do it. The navigation works but only if I know where I am going, or to the first waypoint. And it disconnects regularly causing me to stop and reconnect my phone. Can receive calls but can’t make calls? Come off it, just reconnect my Sena directly to the phone and use Siri and Google, cut out the middle man..Version: 2.3.0

Would like my money backHappy to see manufacturers developing apps and charging for them to cover the costs, but this has to be the worst app ever Would like my money back.Version: 2.3.4

UnstableOn a iPhone 6, IOS 12.54 The App (V2.3.4) crashes every time a destination is chosen..Version: 2.3.4

Don't let us down! Please continue further development. Rider to bike to bluetooth to app control for skipping waypoints on the fly for starters. Useless otherwise. Continues to reroute to "missed" waypoints makes use for even small trips a lost cause. 8th KTM. Please update the app and call me in for updates to the bike's software as well. -SV.Version: 2.3.4

Serious text issue$11 NO Text!! Something missing here....Version: 2.3.0

Not worth the cost. DO NOT BUY!!Own 4 KTM bikes. One won’t pair at all. No option to creat routes. Downloading and updating maps is next to impossible. This app should be free and it should work. This is by far the worst navigation app I have yet the only one that integrates with the bikes display. Either open up the interface or make this thing work correctly. Come one KTM. You’re better than this..Version: 2.3.4

Basic but functionalThe inability to rotate the map to landscape is a pain in the @ss but it does everything I guess it was designed to do. Bare minimum functions. It was a little tricky to setup initially. My phone and the app telling me they were paired but my bike claimed otherwise. I had to delete and reinstall the app in order to get things in sync. If you can live without the basic directions shown on the bike’s display and have the ability to mount your phone on the bike’s bars, do that and use Google/Apple or whatever third party GPS. Heaps of room for improvement if KTM really cared about maximising this app’s potential..Version: 2.3.4

Not for sdrAfter purchasing the app cause my dealer told me it was a must for my SuperDuke R i read the description and realize its only for the Adventure. Not the apps fault very poor ktm training for salesman in canada, im yet to find a competent dealer when i have questions. Imagine how much i trust a mechanic for my maintenance when they don’t even know that the tft of the sdr does not support this app..Version: 2.1.3

BobsterWay too basic, it uses a sort of logic that appears totally illogical , sends you down every back street but the road you actually want to be on. I know you have the choice to ride a more bike inspired route....but really “a housing estate “. Plus the on screen pointers when coupled to the 1290 are way too basic when a less than simple choice of left or right is possible. On the whole it cannot even be described as an ok first attempt by KTM as there are way more effective but simple systems out there. Would make way more sense to use google maps through an app connect interface...one day maybe...but I’m not holding my breath....Version: 2.3.1

:(Some idiot recommended this on YouTube for the superduke R so I bought it straight away. Then I found out that it doesn’t even work with the superduke r, so it’s completely useless for me. Bike pairs with phone but not with this app. Left one star which will delete once I get a refund..Version: 2.1.2

A bit minimalistic for the priceWas expecting more that just a NAV for £8 unfortunately. If you compare it to the BMW app which downloads and monitors a lot more from the bike in addition to the NAV feature and it’s free..Version: 2.1.3

Don’t waste your moneyWaste of money. Duke 125 not supported with maps. Only i can see is battery and network. Totally unusable.Version: 2.1.3

Does not show up on the dash of your ktm1290Thought this was the app that would enable dashboard nav prompts on my 1290 its not Starting to get a little angry with ktm as this My Ride was sold to me as a lot of things that it simply cannot do. I was suppose to be able to see incoming calls and texts as well as have gps guidance. The incoming call feature went away with the first hardware update to the ecu and I have never had any call functionality or gps guidance. The KTMMYride is really only good for stereo volume and channel changes. This app does nothing to improve that..Version: 2.1.0

Unable to even pair an 890 Adventure RThis won’t even pair with my motorcycle. Both have Bluetooth on and in pairing mode. Nothing I do will get them to pair, or even see the bike as an option to pair with. Pretty disappointing..Version: 2.3.4

Should I have known,I would have bought a HondaPurchased a brand new KTM Duke 390. One of the main reasons was the my ride navigation- so I could leave my phone in my pocket and not have it exposed. The app has never worked, and the dealer can’t figure it out either. My phone says it’s connected, my bike says it’s connected, but the app fails to show this. As a result, I am unable to use directions when I travel. When I click app support on the apple App Store, it takes me to KTM’s FAQs in their website- which is not helpful at all. I feel ripped off. If I could give this app 0 stars I would..Version: 2.3.1

Glad KTM don’t make their bikes this badCrashes 4 times out of 5 when I search for a destination. Have to re-pair every time I want to use it. Come on KTM, update this shoddy, buggy, primitive app, you are better than this..Version: 2.3.0

Not BadA lot of negative reviews here, but I’ve not had many negative issues. I do wish there were many more features, and I hope there are other improvements in the future, but i Have mo stability or navigational issues..Version: 2.3.4

Too limitedA great idea that seems is still under development. Nav pros and cons: + Lovely simple, clear summary + Graphics for turn, roundabout exit etc. + Reroutes quite quickly if you take different turn - No choice of routes. Insists on straight line which often is longer as tries to take you through towns and built up areas where the motorway or dual carriageway is far quicker - No favourites or home setting; very basic settings overall We all wait with bated breath for more of a map and more sophisticated controls. Please, KTM ...... Music feature is OK with quirky use of the handlebar controls. KTM build a superior bike to BMW (IMHO) and it would be great to see their superiority reflected in the app software, which at 8 quid is not currently value for money..Version: 2.1.3

Gen 2 sdrNavigation does NOT work on gen 2 trust me,it cannot work on gen2 superduke r dash.Version: 2.3.4

Still BrokenGlitchy to setup. Still can’t download off-line maps. Routing to destinations and recalculating are mostly broken. Please just apple car play your bike, don’t reinvent the wheel..Version: 2.3.3

Useless navigation app for an adventure bikeSo disappointing that this app gives you so few options to plot a route and even if you do (after hours of manipulating way points), it’ll still take you on the route it wants to go when you start your trip. Come on KTM! It interfaces so well with the bike’s display, make it work as a navigation tool. It’s useless as it is and I have to use my phone and Google maps to navigate anywhere. Disgraceful!.Version: 2.3.4

Doesn’t workCan I have a refund?.Version: 2.3.0

StupidThis app might as well be free or $80. Stupid to charge $8 after I paid $8000 for the bike. I know many paid more or less. That said, it’s worth $8. What’s eight bucks?.Version: 2.3.4

It’s a jokeDon’t waste your money. The app has a 5gb limit for downloads, means you can’t download the 6gb US Map. And for online navigation you better off with Google or Apple. It’s unbelievable that they make an app that can’t download its own extensions. How stupid is that? Should be 0 Stars, refund at least..Version: 2.3.4

Buyer beware!Don’t buy if you own the 125 duke. I bought this on the assumption it would work as the bike does pair to your phone, for music and features. After paying for the app I struggled to get it to pair, phone connected on the display but not through the app. After looking everywhere I finally found the answer, it’s not compatible with the 125. Strange.Version: 2.3.1

My Ride with 2018 Duke 390This app is completely unusable. Very disappointed, $10 wasted. UI is incomplete, text in app is hard to follow, doesn’t detect status of paired bikes which system settings shows as paired. KTM fix this!.Version: 2.1.3

Still needs some work but usable. The UI still needs some work, not always intuitive to use. Having the possibility to change the starting location instead of having to use the current location would be useful to plot future rides when not starting from current location..Version: 2.1.2
