✓ Waste of moneyThe roav device is not showing up in the accessories list to pair it and no help for this issue is offered on the website other than “use another phone” like I have so many cell phones to switch between. Wouldn’t recommend buying unless you don’t mind if it decides not to work..Version: 3.1.2

✓ The app is pure garbage!!I’m trying to figure out how the hell so many people have this app above 2 stars. This app is atrocious. You’re better off using the 2 charging ports the Roav Viva car charger has and leave the Alexa feature the hell alone. All kinds of connection issues, app bugs, and just frustrating experiences. You developer guys need to go back to your mother’s basement where you started this project and come back when you get things right. You know all the issues this app has so don’t be without integrity and act like y’all don’t know what’s wrong. We shouldn’t have to explain what y’all should already know. ✓ Latest version needs helpThe latest version of Roav Viva iOs app has a problem with near continuous Bluetooth connection popup notifications. Every 10 to 30 seconds while my iPhone is awake and I’m away from the car, I get a pop up saying the Roav is connected. The Roav has no power when the car isn’t running and I’m quite sure it isn’t actually connecting when it claims to be. Very annoying. Seems ok if I’m in the car and actually connected. ✓ Problem with Roav Viva iOS update 3.4.0The app crashes and closes a few seconds after it connects. I checked the Roav VIVA for updates to see if that could be the problem, and no updates were available. It received an update when I first purchased it in August 2022, but nothing since then. FYI: I have a iPhone 12 using iOS 16.1 PS Your email address didn’t work, and live chat isn’t live and a very unhelpful way to report problems.Version: 3.4.0

✓ Fix this!!Even when my settings are set to not turn on when connected and to not display welcome, the app opens constantly when I’m anywhere near my car. ✓ Sort of works- I would not recommend this.Bought this item with the hopes of adding Bluetooth to the car. I use my iPhone 13 pro. The app and the device are problematic at best. Connects when it wants to and almost never plays music over th car stereo. Whe it does work if you receive a call it is loud and clear but when it switches back to the music the volume is at a quarter and does not get back to a normal level of volume. Pairing unpairing and forefront the device does not help the problem. I would not recommend this product. It’s a great idea but fails miserably for $100 dollars..Version: 3.1.2
✓ Just doesn’t work anymoreThis used to work fine, but now constantly logs out of Alexa and disconnects from the Bluetooth unit. This means that you get into the car and request something on Alexa and get “Amazon account unlinked” most of the time, rendering it useless. Even once you have manually loaded the app and logged in, it then usually has another error message (eg alexa service unavailable). I’ve not been able to use it at all for several days now. I will await the next update to fix it, otherwise it’s going back to Amazon..Version: 3.1.0
✓ Great device, needs a little work stillI really like having Alexa in my car and connected to my automated home! I only wish I didn’t have to switch to the Aux input on my stereo when using Bluetooth to my radio. I assume if Siri works without switching between Aux and the radio that this device can do it as well, just needs a software update to do the same thing...hopefully this is something the developer will add as its not ideal to switch back and forth between the radio and Aux input every time I use Alexa..Version: 3.0.2
✓ Love Roav Viva and annoyance not fixed!Thought you fixed the annoying Welcome Message setting being reset if app atarred by sensing close enough using Bluetooth. This problem still exists and another problem I reporred MONTHS ago with Chat dimming during entering text which makes it usable. I am extremely dissappointed that you have not address these issue. You must be focusing on just core stuff and not app bugs. Love Roav Viva or not ai am about to uninstall app again and send the device back to you!!! ✓ Just don’t.I hope someone reads this before purchasing the equipment. It is 100% not worth it. There are connection issues everyday. They supposedly sent an update out awhile ago to help with it staying connected, it did nothing. Even after you spend 10 mins getting it connected it’ll play a song then disconnect. I will spend most of the car ride just trying to get it connect and it’ll continue to say connection failure. It is not worth the money or the frustration..Version: 3.1.2
✓ Mostly fine, but...The app is mostly fine, but the setting for the welcome message constantly resets!! It’s to the point where I am so triggered every time it starts telling me to open the gd app. I know to to open the app! I turned the welcome message off! But it keeps turning itself on!! ✓ MehWorks about 10% of the time. CONSTANTLY crashes and with the new update takes about 20-30 mins to try to connect via Bluetooth. I have basically given up on trying to use it. ✓ Device great. App horribleThe device itself works very well. That being said the app is horrible! To clarify at least two dozen times a day it pops up and tries to connect even when the app is closed and the device is powered off it wants to connect every other Bluetooth device in my home. It even tries to launch when I am using my podcast app or Fitbit app. Functionality wise the app is OK does what it’s supposed to do if it didn’t constantly annoy By launching even after I’ve closed it I’d probably give it five stars. ✓ Please add landscape mode.I have an iPhone X and use Waze in landscape while driving. Having the Viva app be portrait is most inconvenient as you cannot simply swipe back and forth between apps. Also, I often have issues playing music- stating I need to connect my phone to my cars Bluetooth. But this app is the only one that seems to have the issue. I sometimes can fix it by disconnecting and reconnecting my phone to the Viva. I suspect it might have something to do with the Viva connecting to my phone before the car..Version: 1.3.2

✓ I so want this to work!Have tried on several occasions but this will not work with an iPad. Even in “tiny window” mode. Seems you have to use a phone and it must be Bluetooth-paired to the car’s radio. Can’t even use a USB cable. Was hoping this would be fixed over time but it’s been several months and it still doesn’t work. Have to keep pairing and unpairing my phone every time I want to use it. I hate having to have my phone pared to the cars radio all the time. I need to use a dedicated device (iPad mini) for in the car. ✓ Seems like a great IdeaBut it doesn't work like you would expect. First attempt took 30 minutes to get it syncd to my iphone 7+ Once I got it synced did 20 minutes of updates to my device and thought I was good to go. Day 2 with the device and its right back where I started. It sees the device and the bluetooth is connected but the app will not connect. I thought what a great Christmas Gift idea. ✓ $40 annoyanceThey need to fix this app for iOS users as I speak I get 20-30 times a day interrupted as I use my phone with the app just opening whenever it feels like it needs to... The developer is well aware of the issue it just doesn’t care to fix it at this point I wish this would actually work... Another issue is the navigation motivations don’t come up on screen to start the journey so instead you either have to ask Alexa to give you directions whittle your open in the app looking at the phone which defeats the whole purpose of the device.Version: 2.3.0

But if you update the app there’s always setup you have to do over again and the interaction between the three devices (car/phone/VIVA) gets in weird sync states and stops working far too often for something you are supposed to interact with while driving..Version: 3.0.1

✓ Seems to be abandonedUsed to work fairly well, then started dropping Bluetooth connection after most major iOS updates. After a while, it developed a habit of unlinking the Amazon account, requiring multiple re-enrolments, manual removal from Alexa devices list, etc. Developer hasn’t posted any updates for the app in over a year now. I put up with it as long as I could, now using the hardware in my car as basic phone charger only. Pity, it was such a great concept..Version: 3.1.2
