Monday.com - Work Management for Negative User Reviews

GlitchesAfter updating to the latest version I’ve been unable to fill columns on the mobile app. This should be looked into. I use an iPhone and this app works terribly on iPhones..Version: 4.62.2

A good concept but needs workThe app is good at what it CAN do, but it simply lacks polish and some actions can make it crash entirely. The first problem comes when trying to log in, which is never a good start. I type in the password, tap submit but then the password is deleted from the field and nothing happens. It’s possible to log in via Monday’s magic link system. This gets me logged in but when trying to add a second account to the app, it simply loads indefinitely after I’ve entered the password, and using another magic link kicks me out of the first account. In short, I can’t find a way to successfully add two accounts to the app. Some desktop functions aren’t available on this app, for instance the “Link to Pulse” columns cannot be edited in the app, only on desktop. You can’t even see the contents of those columns when viewing them on mobile. The app can crash entirely when trying to view the profiles of other members of your team, typically done from the updates page. I’ve only been using the app for a few hours but I picked up on these points almost immediately. I’m looking for a proper management system to roll out to my team and was very much hoping Monday would be the solution. The app just doesn’t seem complete or stable enough for me to recommend using it..Version: 3.23

Still not great, bad trackpad support on iPadI really hope this app grow into it’s own. However, it’s not there yet. Can’t drag items and I cannot use the Magic Trackpad to change statuses..Version: 4.44.3

Huge potential although still really buggyI was really excited to try this app to help with my workflow. Seeing all the advertising on social media, I thought I’d give it ago. Firstly I can see the app has a lot of potential for not just my work but also my business with the team workflows. The user interface is nice and the gestures to edit , delete and etc on mobile devices are intuitive. But here’s my issue....the app seems like it has been horribly rushed or carelessly made. I think this company should be putting more of their money into building a better product, ironing out all the glitches and bugs. Rather than spend their money on Facebook and Instagram marketing, which works by throwing it in my face/newsfeed but then in turn makes me use a product I think is going to be seamless but ends up being unusable. I think companies making apps that are built to assist people’s productivity should focus more on the reliability of their apps because that’s more important to a business or someone’s workflow than how it looks or how it’s marketed. Marketing a product that seems seamless and reliable but then after downloading is not, is a sure way to detract your customers from your brand..Version: 2.24.1

Unhelpful customer service! We have just started using the app. Unknown to me we exceeded the users allowance. They emailed me a link to update my billing information, which is fine. But the link took me for downloading the app again despite the fact I have the app running in all my devices. I downloaded again and found no where in my IPhone app that I can update my billing information. Wasted nearly an hour of my time! This is not the only problem. They emailed and asked me if I needed help with the app. I replied and said yes but heard nothing from them. We have to second guess how things work. Don’t be fooled by the hype of their PR! Behind the glamorous PR ads lie with appalling customer support!!.Version: 3.27

Disappointing compared to websiteThe app is kind of a disappointment from a stand-alone perspective. I think the intent is mostly to be a companion to the web interface, because doing anything more than reviewing your tasks at a glance seems like it’s best managed via web. I tried to create a meeting and lost my dates set, I can’t figure out how it’s syncing with my calendar and it doesn’t seem to display any existing events in the calendars I select. Lacking polish..Version: 4.73.4

Good Features, Poor Developer SupportThe Monday mobile app is an essential adjunct to the excellent Monday web app, although less powerful and more prone to bugs. The developers are poor at ensuring product stability and quickly fixing bugs, leading to long periods (days or weeks) where the mobile app is unusable..Version: 4.60

Not freeI used it for two weeks and then it wants me to pay. A lot too! One star because of deception.Version: 4.71.1

$$$!!!Fantastic web and app interface, vibrant colours make prioritising a breeze. Very configurable to suit a vast range of needs. I have been using this app and browser to manage a team spread across many projects at once, very efficiently, as well as planning a holiday (its very versatile!) However, $400AUD for only a year is prohibitively expensive when only being used by a single user. I think there needs to be a 1-off payment (app purchase fee) option available for single point users. If it wasn’t for the cost, I would be a big promoter of this app..Version: 3.3

Very amateurWhen your phone loose network, it doesn’t save anything. You entered information just disappear with no notice or error message. You cannot add description to tasks on mobile. Once you add as an uodate you cannot edit. This app is a joke. Worth no money. I would recommend Jira from atlassian, half price.Version: 3.32

Not good on phonesGreat on computers and tablets, but on the phones not great. Can rarely see the messages in the message box on the app and regularly struggles to load. Love the program and all of the functions it’s just a struggle when I’m on the road and don’t have a laptop to use all the time therefore don’t get the full functionality of the program on my phone..Version: 4.54.1

IOS app is uselessMobile app is useless, missing lots of functionality that the PC version has, and you can’t log onto the webpage version from mobile without being forced to go to the app! Not to mention my current issue with a a blank board! Not sure what’s going on there but I did contact support. The desktop Version is good, A few things could use upgrading like more customization in the form! I started to see potential in the desktop Version so I started to move my information from another service to here hoping that they would improve the app! Even though the price is a little extreme! But then I got looking at the reviews and saw so manny users complaining about the app and calling it garbage from over a year ago! Most where the developer will ask you to contact support when all of us want to hear something more along the lines of we are working on it! Again the PC version is wonderful but this review is for the Mobile app and the app has a long way to go!.Version: 4.36

Looks nice but needs work.App lacks a lot of functionality available in the web interface which is already limited. It looks nice and is fairly simple to use but there is some really basic functionality missing (like recurring tasks, calendar views and a simple way to see tasks assigned to you from across multiple boards). Still work to do -especially for the price..Version: 3.0

Great platform and good appIt would be great to be able I duplicate a board on the app so my projects can all be set up on the go! Thanks!.Version: 2.25

Love the desktop, App needs workI got stuck in a ‘confirm your email’ loop, and after changing my password three time and trying to restart the process I still cannot even access the app..Version: 4.40.1

Not a great user experienceTried using for almost 6 months and neither myself or team members could get used to the user interface. UI was not a natural experience everything just seemed so hard and confusing to follow. It was especially hard keeping up with updates and who has done what. No matter what we tried we just couldn’t get comfortable with it. Recently converted to Asana and OMG what a difference in just hours of using it..Version: 4.40.1

Frustrating pricing plan for small businessThe tools are good, but their plans and pricing are super frustrating (and even misleading) for a very small business. We are just a team of two full-timers. perfect for Monday’s basic plan, except for our work we need to use the Gant and timeline views, which is only offered at the standard pay plan. Great, no problem! We are happy to pay for that plan. on their pricing page, they advertise it as $10 per seat per month. We did the trial, tested the product, but then as I was signing up for the full plan, I realized they had a minimum of three seats on a plan, which means we had to pay 30% more every month for a seat we don’t need. nowhere on the pricing page does it say there is a minimum number of seats required for the plan. unlike Asana and Clickup, which allow you to customize your plan based on the exact number of members you need, Monday forces you to fall into different tiers of seats, so you may have to pay for more than you need. after speaking with customer service about this, they were not willing to budge. I totally get that this may sound petty to some, but for a very small start up, this additional expense can mean a lot. Especially when there are competitors that offer a similar product for less. anyways, super disappointed in Monday in both how they represent their plans as well as what their actual policy is on this..Version: 4.60.2

Not working for iPad :( Very Annoyed!I use this application on literally all my devices, iPhone, MacBook, Desktop, iMac at work, etc., but every time I download the app on my iPad it seem to not load anything. If I try waiting for it to load, nothing appears. When I try and go to look at my dashboard it closes itself like I never even opened the application. I would love you be able to use the app on my iPad like I do my iPhone because then I’d be able to get all my notification on here instead of my phone, which I use for personal stuff and would rather keep it that way... It seems impossible when the application closes itself. So i guess I will just use it with safari and turn email notifications on... Cool more unnecessary emails.....Version: 4.21

App not editable for detailsSo much time wasted going back and forth to find out why the App was logging in to an old work email and the web based was not. You are unable to edit ANY details linked to the account via the Aop - even the emails they send to ‘get the link to reset’ send you in circles... Anyway after many emails and frustrations they eventually admitted the only way to change your emailed linked to an account is via the web based version. So now I’m on lockdown without my work Mac - unable to fix the App which keeps picking up a work email from November (company changed from .co to .com) and unable to view the tasks assigned to me... the worst thing there is nothing they or we can do and we are paying for this. Why have an App that is not ready? So frustrating and an utter waste of everyone’s time....Version: 4.16

Boomtown Rats were right...Been using since it was called dapulse. Had high hopes. But the functionality and apparent lack of integration with any of the iWork apps or other native iOS apps makes it more of a burden that a benefit. It is also very very expensive. Got drawn into the subscription with expectation of wonderful functionality and ended up cancelling with 6 months to go because the tool is just so useless. Big waste of £280 (subscription paid upfront for a year). If you want a proper tool to manage team activity look elsewhere. And when they made the entirely daft move to change the name to ‘Monday’, well seems Bob Geldof tells us all we need to know..Version: 3.1

Nearly ThereThe desktop app is amazing and works brilliantly but the mobile app falls so short in simple fixes. We were looking at Monday to help run a small business of electrical engineers. The app would’ve been the main way our engineers interact with our system to log job sheets etc. ‘Time tracking’ column is broken. On the desktop it’s perfect, but you can’t manually enter times on the app rendering the entire app useless for our engineers. Such a shame that a simple fix on the app has rendered us unable to use Monday seamlessly for our business..Version: 4.84.1

PotentialI like this app and am getting familiar with it before I get my team involved. But the more I experiment with it the more I can see pros and cons. For example, I love the simplicity and visual ease. But at the same time I can’t see how to do things like remove boards from with the app. I know the review is at present middle of the road, but I am as yet undecided and as such haven’t brought my team in on this yet..Version: 3.23

Terrible appTerrible app. To much searching to find info that could all be on one page.Version: 4.81

DECEPTIVE WEBSITE- personal use is NOT FREE.Signed up for personal use, which the website said was free. When I created the account I discovered this ‘always free’ account was ‘always’ free for 14 days and now I have no way to cancel the account. I’m not a big business, I’m not even a business. But I was looking for something to scale up. Not this product. Not with overtly deceptive practices like this. You cannot say something is always free and then send an email after signup and say ‘14 day free trial’ and expect me to be a loyal customer. I’d rather pay for a service that doesn’t lie to me than have a ‘free’ service that does..Version: 4.54

Horrible mobile/tablet experience but great on desktopMonday.com was built for the desktop. Mobile and tablet experience is horrible. The UI and UX on mobile is so out of place, boards are hard to navigate, fields are missing, text gets cut short, you can view in many of the views... etc. I was forced to switch to Monday.com from Asana and I’m regretting it because of this reason. But, I’m sure that the team is working on a more fluid, efficient and user friendly experience on mobile/tablet. Please, work on functionality over features. Your recent releases all focus on features but there’s zero functionality. Our Monday.com board for the company is a hot mess of random excel sheets and a bunch of random colours....Version: 3.39

Doesn’t workMany buttons just don’t do anything when I press them, so many little glitches all over the app which render it completely useless.Version: 4.44.2

Mobile is different than desktopThe biggest challenge I’ve had with the app is how far behind the mobile app is with the desktop. When I plan something on my desktop and then am out in the field with the mobile app, it doesn’t show up. There are so many features that are unavailable in the mobile that it’s practically unusable for my team. Pretty rough when I’m spending $1000/year on it. When I talk to support, all they say is it’s not ready and they’re team is working really hard to get it done, but wouldn’t give me any deadlines or any specifics. Kinda frustrating. Good app otherwise..Version: 4.72.1

RefundI paid for an online shop through Bold Business, and it was later promised that the pre-built shop would be handed over to me by Monday.Com. However, up until now, I haven't received any relevant replies or received my shop. It's been almost two weeks and more now. They are all scammers, and I'm going to report them to the appropriate authorities. Please don't fall for this. I will continue to update here and inform as many people as I can..Version: 4.85

Just plain noNavigating through the app isn’t intuitive at all. Deleting a board or individual things is next to impossible, so once you’ve created something but want to start anew, it’s just going to sit there in the way and you can’t delete it. Even on an iPhone 8+, the spacing and UI area is so indistinguishable that it’s too cluttered to make sense of what’s on the screen and how to analyze info quickly. It’s a really snooty design meant for artsy graphic design students, but not really for businesses or people that need a quick glance, quick info, or quick answers. You’ll spend more time learning how to figure out how to do things in the app as opposed to optimizing your own productivity. It’s pretty much an anti-productive app..Version: 3.11.1

Horribly clunkyI enjoyed the non coding workflow to some extent however BASIC functionality is missing in abundance. For example Simple mathematics like plus and minus seems to be unavailable through the workflow using the ‘numbers’ field and although I was able to subtract using a workaround by adding a minus in front of the form it looks aweful and can be confusing for a team when entering. The phone interface is also borderline unusable if you have more than one field. All in all it seems incredibly basic for the money asked. I couldn’t even reset my password, I clicked forgot password on the website then clicked the reset password button on the link provided and it just keeps sending me to the app where I am already logged in with no sign of a password section anywhere. It’s aweful and frustrating. I’m looking for a solution similar to this product so part of me wants to keep figuring it out but it’s a rocky start..Version: 4.63.2

It is ok, needs work.Generally the app functions ok. The issue I have is that you cannot edit comments / sub tasks you have added with this app. So basic functionality is missing from the app in my mind. Please add support for editing / deleting updates and sub tasks. My employer is looking at this for the team and to be honest while it seems very flexible in many ways the mobile app seems like an after thought. Mobile devices have been in widespread use for 10+ years now, this app should be better. Needs some work to make this usable on a regular basis and I will stick with a full functioning task manager for now (TickTick)..Version: 4.33

Hmm initial hype but not sure on the valueI downloaded Monday after reading lots on the internet around it. Looks great, device compatibility and definitely a slick onboarding and getting started range of capability including templates for many industries But now that I am using it… it becomes a bit of a chore. Everything is input driven, unless you can figure out the value of the integrations to automate simple status changes or updates based on off platform actions. It does need a tech person to understand and manage but very much point and shoot, highly manual workflows. Am assuming this is where professional services comes into the picture for most companies So whilst the platform is nice and lets you get started .. I think there needs to be better guidance and features for general usability if to keep using it and not being a slave to updates - either yourself or your team.Version: 4.70.2

No substitute for websiteApp doesn’t represent the website adequately or accurately..Version: 4.40.2

Won’t let you unsubscribe from spamI made the mistake of signing up to see if this site would was any good. Now it is spamming my email account to no end and the link for mail preferences tell you to install the app to disable the spam. Once doing this the setting is still no where to be seen. DO NOT INSTALL. The app concept itself is a glorified spreadsheet. I would stay away..Version: 4.40.3

ReviewGood app lots of features. but Not very user friendly to track between boards creating cards, tasks..Version: 4.48

It is not blind user friendly at allI need to use this app for my work, because I am visually impaired and I use a screen reader; I stock as this ad is not labelled properly. So, visually impaired users won’t be able to use it and it is not functioning at all.Version: 4.38.1

The App does not update dataFrustration is the name for this App. I have updated data on the desktop version, and a few minutes later, I checked it on the mobile version- no updates. After 12hs still not updated. I need accuracy and an App to see what is going on in the projects in real-time..Version: 4.51.4

Bad login flowCan’t login if you have multiple google accounts in your browser. Takes the first one as default and then you’re stuck in the tutorial and can’t log out..Version: 4.83.1

Just terribleGot on to this app due to work. Giving it a two stars rate is been generous. Their video tutorials are totally useless and out of date. On the video they explained things as you are already a advance user of the app. By going to fast in their expansion and not zooming in on the icon which they click. Their jargon changes for example pulse is now checklist..Version: 3.35

NopeLatest update terrible..Version: 5.1.1

More functions needed plzHi the app is nice ang friendly. However, it’s quite limited still. We really need to be able to upload videos/files from the Mobile app please. And dashboards are really useful, but it’s not in the mobile app. Can’t find anywhere in the app to ask for help or support....Version: 3.26.1

What happenNot sure what happened recently but has gotten really buggy, can’t access anything.Version: 4.62

Good app but logs out with each updateThe app is built really well but it force logs out after each update and it’s very annoying to setup the URL and log in each time..Version: 4.26

Hopeless layout.I had to use this as my legal representative insisted they work only via the app. With no training or time to learn, we are expected to work with this app which not at all intuitive or logical in my opinion. Having dealt with a few professionals over the year, we have had to use Slack, Trello . Clients with no training or experience are just meant to hop on. Maybe Mondays needs to review this type of use as my first experience is very unpleasant and put me off considering it ever for my business..Version: 4.81

Don’t buyMisleading in free version, doesn’t say it has limitations for everything (200 limit). App is not syncing, if you enter something on desktop, you need to exit the app and enter again so you can see changes, this is on iPhone 13 pro max, on iPhone tablet pro, this way of sync will not work, you need to enter the category that is updated, and you need to exit the app, enter again, and if that doesn’t work, you need to repeat and it will sync. The idea is good, but they misled and they don’t provide enough info nor about the free version nor about the paid version. Not reliable enough and not worth paying for it with these problems..Version: 4.62.3

Great app in theoryDownloaded it and tried using it but I found it to be very user unfriendly so deleted it. Maybe it’s just me..Version: 4.17.2

Missing featuresThe app is well built and very stable, there are however small features that are missing compared to desktop version. We use time tracking a lot in our business but on the mobile app you can only start and stop a timer, you aren’t able to add a shift in or amend a shift. On mobile signal images don’t appear to load either, being in the visual media industry I find myself constantly having to get the laptop out to check updates..Version: 5.3.2

Create widget for IphoneIt feels slow when and Hard to work from the phone phone in monday. Not that easy to create items and subitems quickly Also a widget will be good to see the progress.Version: 4.59.3

Need more meat!!Each time we push Monday for a feature we are told that the functionality is not available. Monday needs to hire more developers to push through the basic requirements of its customers. In concept this is a great app. Just need a little more focus on the details to take it across the finish line..Version: 4.81

Very cluttered/confusing UXThere may be benefits to the structure of this app but it feels very over complicated to me. It’s a lot like a big excel sheet with with more icons and colors. I really wish they would consolidate the Updates/Files/activity log/info boxes/item card tabs all into one view so things are easier to track. I also don’t understand why subtasks don’t show next to the task unless you are looking at the grid of all tasks within its board. Searching is also very tough to use reliably unless you look within specific boards. My company used to use Asana and it was much simpler to the point that I would use it for my personal freelance work and scheduling. I think it lacks certain analytics that Monday does have, but for simple task tracking, Monday falls short. Also, naming an app after a day of the week, when a key function of the app is organizing dates, makes no sense to me and adds so much unnecessary confusion..Version: 4.83.1

Terribly designed-Subtasks won’t show up on the calendar and it’s timeline won’t affect the main task. -Subtasks won’t show up in the calendar This is such a dumb software. There is no excuse for lacking of this rudimentary level of automation..Version: 4.79.1

FrustratingThe app has very limited function compared to the web version. It also takes forever to load information (items, group, boards, nofticiations, etc). Not recommended..Version: 4.64.2

Not AccessableI work mostly from an iPad and I can’t access most of the features unless you’re on a desktop.Version: 4.3

Terrible app interfaceWhat’s the point of having a mobile app if none of the functionality is accessible? Monday.com is essentially useless when trying to access from a phone.Version: 5.5

Mobile app is awful!!!I have been using this app since it was called the pulse, and the mobile app portion of it has never worked properly and with each update that they keep doing it seems to get worse. My different jobs will jump all over the board randomly both on the app on the phone and on the office computers. Lately, the app is making it to where when I click on one job another job will open and I can’t get to the one I was trying to get to without swiping left or right and sometimes I cannot get to that job. Period. Also, there are hyperlinks for phone numbers don’t work anymore only for emails, so every time I need to call a client I have to stop copy and paste the phone number which is extremely inconvenient..Version: 4.65

BIG POTENTIAL!!!!I have downloaded this app to bring myself into the 21st century. I tried the weekly planners and sticky notes everywhere to keep track of everything but that was not working. My phone is the only thing that I have on my consistently. This means that at anytime I can see what I have to do or what is done. I also don’t have to call everyone to get updates. So so nice. The only problem that I am having right now that is almost unbearable is the lag time. I have the new XS Max and when I got to type it takes a little bit of time to register what I have clicked on. This really throws off that typing groove you get in on your phone. Once that gets fixed I will be able to better access everything else..Version: 3.11

Did the trialI took the 14 day trial to use the app, have a feel for it and learn to use it. Whilst on the 14 day trial was looking at the payment plans, thought looked ok and was interested in taking it further upon the finishing the trial period the price had jump up massively from £32-£82 per month, I’m sorry, for something that is a bit slicker than Microsoft excel it is not worth £984 per year..Version: 3.12

Love Monday hate the appI’d prefer to have a small version of the website over the app. It is so clunky to navigate… on desktop it’s lovely.Version: 4.41

Monday lost my Project Data!! Monday ruined my week!!Horrendous experience with Monday. The system mysteriously lost an entire day’s work on a project plan. Customer service and the developers in Israel couldn’t figure it out. All they said was “sorry”. That just doesn’t cut it. This is a lightweight system. UPDATE: I’ve written to their senior management team (CEO Roy Mann and his General Counsel) and they won’t even acknowledge receipt of my emails. At this point, I believe they have a serious system problem or were hacked and aren’t admitting it. Overall, seems like they could care less about their customers. How can a cloud-based software provider not care about data loss? I will never use this “system” again. Monday ruined my week!.Version: 3.37.1

Where’s the dark mode/themeHi team, where’s the dark mode for the iOS version?.Version: 4.18.3

BogusFound Monday on desktop and loved it. Wanted to specifically use the shared calendar with my team. Unfortunately the app is a dogs breakfast. What kind of calendar doesn’t let you add items FROM the calendar view?! If you tap on a date nothing happens… you have to navigate back through from another random tab. Write out the journey for putting something into the calendar in this app then look me in the eye and tell me it wasn’t entirely stupid and over complicated..Version: 4.70.1

What a scam!I’ve downloaded the app and I was using it for few days. BTW very good app to organise your projects. I would rate it 4 but after few days I got notification that’s my free trail is over, I was so surprised because in app description it says “it’s free to use on mobile devices”. App block access to my data. after few days I decided to pay for it but my account disappear with all my data and all my work is lost. What more, and that’s why I think it’s a scam. I just created new account to check the prices and guess what, there’s no info in the app how much you have to pay after free trail. This lack of transparency is just not fair to users! So if you need something to organise your projects for few days it’s a great app but if you want to use it for a long time go and look for something different.Version: 3.24

Interface and My Inbox are incredibly lackingMonday is a great tool, with some great abilities to manage workflow and offers some great board templates. However the UX and Interface of both the web app and mobile app are lacking as it’s too broken up and not easily visually accessible unless you really optimize view columns. I hate the sub task view structure. The mobile app almost feels like a reskinned and more robust excel sheet. Migrating over from Asana as an organization made sense, but now dealing with the lack of in platform notifications, and “my inbox” feature many of us are not able to view tasks that have been “assigned to me”. Which is really becoming a problem. Apple is to Microsoft in comparison Asana is to Monday...not sexy and not new user friendly. 🥴.Version: 4.38.1

Verify email addressI successfully downloaded the app and set up a team but after some days it’s asking me to verify my email address before I can use the app. I have verified my email address when I opened the app at first. I tried to verify again but it made no difference still have the same message on my app screen to verify my email address.Version: 4.22

Sign in with Apple poorly implementedDon’t even bother downloading this app if you want to use sign in with Apple. The whole process just doesn’t work when when going from setting up an account on an iPhone to wanting to use a web browser or MacOS app..Version: 4.85.3

Pretty Horrible UXThe app on the web is far superior than its mobile counter part. The designers of this app did not take into account an actual mobile UX. It feels like they ported the functionality over without any guidance from a seasoned UX designer. I wish there were not only iPhone but iPad versions of this app that truly feel like they were made for mobile and not just a weak attempt at making things function. Specifically having everything separated in tabs is pretty terrible. There should be a home view that takes into account when your on such a small screen you want the ability to centrally access lists, inbox and notifications. There should be some thought put into taking the function of Monday and adapting it for someone to use with their thumb. I imagine that this product was developed for web with mobile as an after thought. Seems a bit odd with the rest of the world going mobile first or even mobile only. iPad OS is around the corner, you guys better seriously consider starting over on the mobile front..Version: 3.31

Pretty but...The trial includes the timeline, which I think is Today’s best feature - but you don’t get timeline if you upgrade to basic, you have to upgrade to standard, which makes it pretty expensive for a small business - more than Asana, which does all this and more - and is cheaper. I think it’s a bit sneaky to not include the calendar in the basic paid version..Version: 2.28.1

Almost there... but not quiteThe concept is great, and the desktop version meets my expectations. However this mobile app version is in definite need of some updates... the UI and UX of this app aren’t great - it won’t let me update and add to my profile, despite having connected the app to my account, the desktop version is still telling me that my set up is incomplete because I “haven’t downloaded the mobile app,” and I can’t seem to customize my push notifications - among other things. I’ll keep it downloaded in the hope that the kinks are worked out soon - because the platform is a great tool.Version: 2.20.1

Unacceptable amount of spam emailsEvery time I get an email and I click update email preferences, it sends me to the app. There is no way, as far as I can tell, to disable emails via the app. I’ve been sent more spam from enabling this than I normally receive in a week. I no longer intend to use this, and I’m wondering if I have to setup a filter on my emails to auto send to junk..Version: 3.36

Monday.com is great, the app is really badApp is difficult to use and difficult to log in. Can’t open desktop version on safari, it forces you to use the app, all very unfriendly. Even though the app is terrible, the desktop version is SO good and su much better than the alternatives for what I need, that I’ll keep using it, hoping for a better app..Version: 4.44.1

Difficult to reach customer serviceEven though the plan says that I have 24/7 customer support, I’m on day 10 of trying to fix an integration issue with dropbox. I run an immigration law practice so with frequent changes in law, I need prompt responses from a software creator. I have contacted Monday 5 times through emails requesting a simple phone call, yet they continue to email back and forth and do not provide a phone number to speak with a live person. If you’re not a tech saavy person and will need any kind of customer support, I do not recommend this program. You will be stuck in an endless cycle of emails when something can easily be resolved with a phone call..Version: 4.25.1

5 Stars on Desktop - 2 Stars as a Mobile AppLove this program! So incredibly intuitive, great for collaborating, and very approachable pricing for small teams like mine. I was able to onboard myself onto this app and bring my team with me with about 14 days steady work and very little forum surfing. If I had to offer any critique for someone thinking about onboarding to this app... If your work is largely done or managed while on iPhone or iPad, avoid this program. In my opinion, the mobile app is far too watered down compared to the webpage. It’s borderline unusable for anything beyond simply reading tasks. When I got onto this program I was hoping for a similar experience to app like Slack, only in the sense that the mobile app, the desktop app & the webpage are identical. If you’re hoping for something like that, don’t get too ingrained in this software. Hopefully they update this as time goes on. The saving grace is that the Webapp and desktop app is stellar !.Version: 4.40.3

Cost is unclearThe App appears to be free but apparently it’s only a trial. The day before the trial is due to end I get an email saying “hope you enjoyed the trial etc....” there are links for upgrading and pricing in the email but when I click on it it takes me to a link saying I need to download the App. I already have the App installed. I just go round in a circle. It’s only from reviews that I can see it’s £15 per month. If I’d know this I wouldn’t have trialled it at all as I can just use ToDo for free. Monday is a bit better but not worth the extra money and I feel conned. Spending this evening moving everything to ToDo....Version: 3.44.2

UselessGarbage.Version: 4.28

Monday is good, iOS apps needs work.We waiting for a widget, and you guys us a lame button to just add a task? That’s all? Look at things like Asana or Fantastical is doing. We should gave an icon on the bottom right to add a pulse in the widget, but should be able to have a list of tasks assigned to us or something. That’s super half baked guys..Version: 4.38

Use the website if you’re on iPadThis app has clearly been left in 2010 with the apps that were just scaled up mobile experiences. I expect more from a company that went public and claims this to be a “Work OS”.Version: 4.41

IOS IssuesMoving pulses to other boards using the ios app doesn't work. Been in the pipeline for sometime, therefore cant use the app when im out of the office - as i was sold it as it worked. Also I described my working process to sales whom recommended i open my account at a certain level - paying for one year to then find out i had to pay extra to unlock certain functionality. Disappointed i emailed the sales person, and had no reply. Because of that i thought it wasn't to late to cancel as it mentioned the 14day money back thing, emailed sales but sales still didn't reply. Other than that, desktop version is ok and support do generally get back to you. But opening the account and the app issues are a huge disappointment..Version: 3.17

Money trap!!!!The system worked well - and my team used it for a short project. However - we paid for what I thought was a single month of use. They hid that that charge would be recurring every 30 days. Next month my card was charged again ($79) so I complained and went through the hidden and convoluted process to cancel the subscription I didn’t know I had. The following month I was billed again for $79. I’m now trying to get myself out again!! In total I have now paid $207 - it’s been two months since I’ve used the app and they continue to take money. I’m running a small team and this is coming out of my own pocket - not the companies. To the makers of this app: LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT LET ME OUT.Version: 3.41

It rarely worksThe app functionality is not as good as the desktop version. Most days I just get a white screen when I open the app, with greyed out areas where content should be. Other days it shows the dashboard menus but they can’t be clicked. And yet other days the features will suddenly stop working. Just like the desktop version, there is always an issue with the time tracking widget, but it’s harder to refresh on the app (on the desktop version, the issue normally rights itself a few seconds after hitting the refresh button. Sometimes it has to be refreshed more than once though) I keep trying the app though, because I really appreciate the desktop functionality..Version: 4.27

Freezes all the timeI can’t get this app to work. I’ve downloaded and reloaded this 4 times now and can’t get it to work. Not sure how it’s not working. I tried months ago and it froze, tried again today, no worky.Version: 4.72

No delete?I don't understand how this app is even usable when there's no delete function? Please let me know and I'll be happy to use the app and change this review... I want to start a board but I can't rename or delete any boards or groups. I can't use this app to organise anything without these two key functions..Version: 3.26.1

Could be great… but lack of attention to detail. The app could work as well as the desktop version. But the developers will need to look in detail at the functionality. Items don’t refresh unless you first navigate back to the main screen and refresh. Small issues like this make the app awkward and time consuming to use. These are very simple fixes if the developers can give it some attention..Version: 4.54.1

Five star for the trial, not worth full priceI actually like this a lot, I've looked through every major project management app and this is the most intuitive. That being said, the cost to value is seriously out of whack. To the point where you're paying $30/month for an overrated spreadsheet, they throttle the sharing, simple filtering, and other seemingly basic features to upgraded $40+ accounts. Their UI on the desktop app is fairly buggy, but the iPhone app is great while the free trial lasts. Will hold a basic monthly account until a better option is found. I understand developing is costly, but with rebranding you would think there would be a better cost evaluation. This is a five star app for the trial run, but not worth it's full featured price..Version: 2.23.1

Do I need to pay for subscription?Hi there, I was wondering if I need to pay for subscription in order to use it. I’ve download the app and managed to use it. Just wondering if there was a free trial and then I had to pay. If so, then I won’t be able to use it for college as I wouldn’t be able to afford it..Version: 4.18.2

MisleadingDownloaded this and spent hours entering my data into it. No where did it mention it was only a free trial period. My trial period is now over and they want me to pay to access all the info I have put in. I can’t even view it so can’t copy it out!! Very misleading!!.Version: 5.2

Turn off the auto demoWhen I first open the app it’s asking me to start my first board. I already have an account and want to log in. Now it’s stuck on a loading screen. I’m on 5G and a new phone..Version: 4.62.3

Basic app bugsWhen you go to reply to a post, you can’t see the reply button at the bottom and when you scroll to it it appears then disappears. When you click the bottom to reply to a post the keyboard covers the bit where you reply so you can’t see what you’re typing. Makes it virtually unusable. Please fix..Version: 4.72

Did not do anything special for priceWith so many apps / websites which do the same for free from the start I can’t see why I should have to pay for something that is being offered for free with more features and then if it is worth it able to buy the server side and run your own in-house server. You can’t even delete your account as all you get when you log in the only thing you see is the options for the monthly service and then the only option is to confirm to go to the pay screen. This is now breaking the new European laws being rolled out for data protection as you are supposed to give me a choice how my data is stored and I would like to delete mine..Version: 3.2

Scam Alert Dave Your Time! This company as well as Asana both trick buyers into thinking their product price is inline with what one would think the price is. However, at checkout you will be charged for 5 seats (5 people/users) that can only be lowered to 2 later. So you pay for two users even though there are more one person companies than there are large companies by a huge margin. I absolutely hate this trickery. If your product is do good you can charge for one seat and as we grow we will gladly add users as we hire them. Monday is even worse with confusing “whats included” stuff that makes no sense! I just went back to using google sheets. It’s free and does 90% the same thing once you get it lined out..Version: 4.76

Great! But, they pretty much priced themselves to Enterprise only...What can I say..? At first I was pretty impressed by the app, both on my iMac as well as the iPhone. The plethora of functionality is amazing. It would have become my best ally in bringing the several projects I’m involved in/responsible for together in a coherent and well organized way. But..., it ends up there isn’t any free option. And I get it. I work in IT as well and I expect to be paid for doing my job, but they could very much have priced themselves more realistically with an individual subscription of around $5 a month. I’d definitely pay that. But with their current prices, there is no way the app is worth it for me. Overall, 5 stars. Price point, insanely expensive, hence useless to me. Grand total: 3 stars..Version: 3.46.2

Works well … when it lets you log in!Massive issues logging in to the app. I click links for updated threads & points for me to respond to from my email, and it flys through browser to the app. Great when I’m logged in. Then. I get logged out (not a manual process), and I can’t login again. Uninstalled & reinstalled a number of times. Turning on and off device etc. Pretty useless when you can’t actually get into the thing while ‘on the go’ from your phone!.Version: 4.43.2

Difficulty in getting startedI was somewhat impressed by the promotional videos I have seen on this app and decided to give it a try. After spending a good hour trying to set up the account etc, I kept receiving messages that there was no such account. Confused I sent a message to their support team, who in all fairness we're very quick to respond. However after several more communications I was advised to try logging on using a desktop or laptop rather than doing it in the iPad. Considering my iPad pro is my laptop/ desktop I was not impressed by how complicated the whole set up had become. I have since removed the app. Ironically this app is supposed to help me plan better time management, it has just cost me over an hour if my time before I even get started. I would not recommend if you are hoping to be more effective with your time.Version: 3.38.1

5 Stars, but...I have recently added several iPad PROs throughout our warehouse for different production areas which has greatly increased our ability to communicate. That’s the good part. The problem is the boards don’t show updated information when coming back in from the locked screen. We have to back out of the board and re-enter to see up to date tasks. You can see how this is a problem when you need production teams to always see the most up to date information. I have also noticed throughout the day the ipad boards are not showing up to date information for some reason. The boards, when using the app, need to sync up, in all potential scenarios. I hope this is fixed soon as this is really a great program, but this is a serious flaw..Version: 3.16

Not what I expectedThe whole idea with the app is to be able to manage work from the phone. However, many of Monday’s functionalities just don’t work in the app. For instance, it doesn’t get updated right away on changes made on the desktop. If you are operating from a board, you will not be able to access the items’ updates or cards. This just means the functionality offered by Monday really just goes half way. I have spent so much time having to reload multiple times and lost work that I had to redo. Monday has great feature ideas but sometimes fails in the execution. I am hoping it develops and removes these limitations sooner than later in order to realize its full potential..Version: 4.55.2

Unintuitive, cluttered app, fire your UX teamInside of "items" your app is calling rows "columns." The part where you see the column names are cut off with "..." When you have an item with an author column, the word author is CUT OFF and all you see is "Aut..." This might be understandable if it were the collapse column but no, this is the default. There is no option to adjust column width and it doesn't autofit or use symbols in place of text that doesn't fit. Why is the "Write an update" hidden into items while you use a floating button for adding other items? Why is the "Dashboard" button completely useless? If you're removing a feature, just remove it all. Don't leave a useless button behind. Your app needs to use separate tabs or ANYTHING instead of trying to show everything in one home-screen in a cluttered mess with a poor attempt of using scrolling elements. God help your company because your UX team is terrible and UX is everything for an app..Version: 4.44.3

This program has overtaken my calendar!!!I have saved drafts for calendar invitations an this app literally sends them!!! And when it sends them its sending as Australia time zone…I’m in Canada!!! I’m in Human Resources, I send out a number of calendar invitations and emails and now this app has made me look like a nut case!!! I try and delete the integration to my work outlook account and it is continually coming back each and every time! I reached out to the support team and of course they haven’t gotten back to me. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!.Version: 4.86.5

The iPad App Needs Help ASAPI love Monday.com, but I am extremely frustrated with the iPad app, which I would say is not really usable right now due to a bug in the comments sections. If there is a thread of comments under an update on a line item (row), I can only scroll down a little bit. The second or third comments and all below them cannot be seen. It’s like you reached the end, and it just snaps back. You can read a bit of the next comment if you drag your finger and hold it, but as soon as you let go, it snaps back into the position where it’s cut off. This means I can’t reply to anyone. I have to go on my desktop in order to do so. Please take care of the iPad app. It’s far more useful than the phone app (for me, at least)..Version: 5.2.1

Needs more parity with webThe app is pretty easy to use and runs fairly well. I ran into some weird idiosyncrasies, for example I made a board on the app, deleted it, and made another board with the same name on the web. The app seemed confused and kept trying to open the deleted board until I closed the app and reopened it. The bigger issue for me is that there is a strange gap in parity between the app and the website for things that seem silly. For example: you can’t hide a column on the app, you can only “collapse” it. You can not use the app to edit automations as far as I can see, you are also more limited in what customizations you can make to views you add. For instance I added a Kanban view to my board in the app and I had to open the web version in order to change which column was being used to determine categories. Overall, the app is a good performing experience, but I wish it had more capability to make it realistic for me to work on boards from my phone and iPad..Version: 4.57

Please UpdatePlease god update this horrid tablet experience. I use this app almost daily on an iPad and it never syncs up information properly with the web version. You cannot seamlessly work on web and mobile without information delay and sometimes the information or task status just do not show up at all. I know you could do better..Version: 4.25.1
