Kauldron is our warmest sounding, punchiest synth yet! Kauldron pushes every available iOS technology to the max: it is not only fully universal (you can run it natively on your iPad and iPhone), but also an Audio Unit plugin. In fact, it is one of the first fullscreen AUv3 plugins for iOS: with a compatible DAW, you can enjoy all the great Kauldron features on a nice, big spread.
Kauldron debuts the next generation of our Artificial Intelligence preset creation system, SPAWN². Completely reimagining the groundbreaking SPAWN algorithms in our hugely popular Magellan, the new SPAWN² gives you unprecedented control over generating presets. In the expert mode, you can accomplish anything from subtle ‘variations on a theme’ to bold new sounds. In the basic mode, where Kauldron does all the thinking, you get preset after usable preset with just a touch. This is not simple randomization: it is the power of machine learning put to benevolent use!
Kauldron is designed with modulation and fine dynamic control in mind. The two fully-featured LFOs and the mod envelope combine with a wide variety of MIDI learnable controls to manipulate multiple parameters. Everything is easily set up in a clearly laid out ‘mod matrix.’ The dual XY-pads can be used for controlling modulation or a wide range of synth parameters. MIDI aftertouch can be routed via the matrix for even greater control over expression and tonality.

✓ This one is very beautiful...Just as Magelan is. But I do not like very much overall sound of YONAC’s synthesizers. The sound is dull a bit. Of course you can fix the sound after some tweaking, make the sound brighter, happier, dancing on the oscillator’s wind etc. So everything looks beautiful except presets. Of course this is just my opinion. I recommend you to buy this beautiful synthesizer and try it for yourself. The price is right and the file is small..Version: 1.0

✗ A stunner at the price, but in the scheme of things...Quality-made, well-functioning app, but lacks the oomph of Model 15 and Zeeon, the analog-modeling standard bearers. Like Kaspar, in my opinion this synth is lacking in personality. Just like the other, it has a hard-to-describe ‘sheen’ to it that keeps the synth from busting out and sounding truly organic. There’s no oomph. Having owned all the other Yonac synths, this is something common between them all, so if you’ve liked that ‘Yonac sound’ in the past, I’m sure you’ll be satisfied. Still, this doesn’t offer anything new other than an excellent random feature. I don’t think you can do better for $4, but at regular price ($10), see Zeeon for your analog-modeling needs..Version: 1.0
✗ Alright Sounding SynthIf this had come out a couple of years ago, I might have given it 4 stars. However, the world has moved on and with the likes of Model 15, Zeeon and DRC on the market, this just doesn’t compare. The sound just lacks the “analogue character” you get with the more recent releases. Saying that, the low price point makes it worth a look if you’re on a budget and don’t already own the synths mentioned above..Version: 1.0
