✓ Stunning ‘analogue’ synthI have most of the iOS synths available - various Korgs, iVCS3, Moog model 15, Yonac’s other synths, etc. When this appeared on offer today at less than $6 CAD, I bought it without even checking for reviews, and even after just checking the presets I was more than happy - this is a powerful yet easy to program analogue beast that can also produce sounds that many a digital FM synth would be proud of. After an hour or so of tweaking knobs, I then checked out the SPAWN auto patch create panel, and wow. It can of course create sounds that are unusable, even inaudible, but it also produces patches that have me wondering how it’s done. A no brainer for synth fans even at full price, get it while on offer and you’ll have even more reason to smile..Version: 1.0

✓ Quality vintage emulationGreat emulation of vintage polysynth . Great midi remote control of many parameters. Super smooth on an iphone 5s. Been on the hunt for something to hook up to an old evolution 49midi keyboard with knobs and faders to take along to jam nights , without risking damaging more bulky and expensive hardware. Super pleased. Sounds fantastic with 2 , let alone 3 detunable oscillators .Add in some modulations and fx and yes bingo ! Bravo yonac 👍.Version: 1.1

✓ You know you want to buy this. Go for it! 😉You think you already own way too many iOS synths and can't justify buying another one? Well think again and grab this awesome powerhouse while it still only costs 4 bucks. Amazing set of presets and a really useful Spawn button to generate even more. But also deep diving into the knob settings will almost instantly render great results. This synth is a beast and i am glad i added it to my vast collection of synth apps. I don't own any real analog hardware synths so i cannot judge how realistic organic this one sounds, but regardless i think the sounds that come out of this synth are really great and very useful in a musical way. ✓ This one is very beautiful...Just as Magelan is. But I do not like very much overall sound of YONAC’s synthesizers. The sound is dull a bit. Of course you can fix the sound after some tweaking, make the sound brighter, happier, dancing on the oscillator’s wind etc. So everything looks beautiful except presets. Of course this is just my opinion. I recommend you to buy this beautiful synthesizer and try it for yourself. The price is right and the file is small..Version: 1.0

✓ Another winner for YonacI purchased Kauldron after using Kaspar for a while. Based on my excellent experience with another product, I bought this one, if only as a thank you for the fantastic development effort! Lo and behold, Kauldron is just as fantastic as Kaspar, yet different. Worth it just for Spawn 2 (even if some of the generated sounds are unusable, except perhaps in an attempt to summon Slaneesh...) as an example of how a “randomizer” should work. Excellent work once again, devs! Thank you and please take more of my money, you’ve earned it! PS: You know, if you considered building an effects tool of some type, with the skill you’ve demonstrated, I’m quite sure you’d get more of our money!.Version: 1.0
✓ Fun fun fun TIL my daddy took the T-Bird awayKauldron is special. Yonac stuff is all incredible. They do not make mediocre apps, only great ones. One of the first was Magellan, which, I am sure everyone will agree is an epic synth that belongs in every IOS device belonging to every music maker. After Magellan came others that are all great in their own ways. I do not think when I see a new app from Yonac; I react on instinct and purchase it as quickly as I can, so I can open it and immediately start having fun. Kauldron is not only great like the others but it has Spawn2. Spawn2, Spawn2, and more Spawn2 has contributed to my happiness level greatly. Oh boy, will you ever enjoy Kauldron. There is no choice, so if you do not like to have fun then forget it because Kauldron has advanced fun features that can not be turned off. The only way to stop it is to close the app. The problem is that the temptation to continue having fun is too much for us ordinary mortals. Try the advanced midi stuff to control any setting. I use the midiLFOS APP. Sooo much endless fun with incredible sounds. Kauldron is a huge winner..Version: 1.0
✓ One of my top favsThough it looks like a simple synth at first glance, it can deliver a good range of sounds. I wouldn’t say it’s my fav synth as it’s hard to judge, but it’s definitely in a group of my faves. Efficient, has a character, easy/pleasant to use, good sound quality, good presets management (can create banks and rearrange slot-based patches). Has AUv3. Another excellent synth from these guys is Magellan 2, both are must-have, imho. Very pleasant to use, feels like hardware..Version: 1.0

The “Maximizer” along with the new “Spawn2” Randomizer (especially with the arp) make this somewhat standard functionality app well worth the introductory price. On top of these excellent features, the latest technologies (AUv3, full-screen AU, AB3, complete MIDI mapping, etc) make this a most competitive synth at “full” price which is still a bargain compared to desktop synths and plugins. ✓ Far from mediocre...I spend far too much money on iPad synths, and I own all of the supposedly ‘latest and greatest’. I like Cauldron better than almost all of them. Why? Because not only is it so easy to programme, with a great mix of features, but it’s easy to get great sounds out of. If you’re a pre-set warrior and have no interest in programming your own patches, or if you have a brain like a computer and can intuitively predict what some of those complex and obscure features will sound like, this might not be for you, but if you want a solid, comprehensible easy-to-programme soft synth, give Cauldron a look. I bought it on sale and it’s the best fiver I’ve spent in ages, but it’d still be a bargain at twice that price..Version: 1.0
✓ Wow! I FINALLY found an Alchemy replacement!... and I like this better than Alchemy!!! So, I am one of the hundreds who are not a big GarageBand fan and feel like they ruined my go-to synth when they acquired Alchemy. Since then I’ve been looking for a replacement or alternative. I only learned about this app when I saw Magellan in an N-track Studio midi tutorial. Luckily, I found it for iPhone as Magellan Jr. and grabbed it right up. Curious, I had to check out the other apps from this designer. The video demo on the app page for Magellan sold it for me. I’ve bought it and fell in love with it in minutes. I am so over Alchemy now that I’ll never use it again now that I have Magellan!’n.Version: 1.0

✓ I misjudged this synth. Its brilliant (rewritten review)First off I respect Yonac immensely and always support their products. Tonestack and magellan are two of my most used apps. They run brilliantly, sound amazing and are incredibly cpu efficient. Kauldron is definitely going for a very punchy, detuned and saturated sound --which if that's your bit then I think you'll be very pleased indeed. The tone sounds more "aggressive" than magellan. I misjudged this synth at first and didn't realize how deep it was. Really blown away and it offers stuff sonically that I didn't realize as brilliant at first. Now my complaints. Magellan jr had a much larger sonic palate in my opinion. The patches in kauldron (including my own experimenting) sound more niche to me. Also most patches sound as if they're going thru a cab simulator which could be a bad or a good thing depending on what you want. The other thing is magellan had more options in terms of fx and also multiple filters routing etc. But it is a different beast that I have grown to love in a different way. Still hoping for megallan 2 tho! The other complaint is that the new spawn has a basic mode with no PAD, LEADS, BASS options and then a very confusing somewhat unpredictable advanced mode. Not really sure what any of the controls or modes mean even after using tutorials. Autonomy vs variation? Please relabel All around this this synth can produce some really unique sounds I haven't really heard anywhere else. Keep em coming yonac!.Version: 1.0

✓ Great little synthSounds nice, controls laid out well... but above all for me it runs like a dream as an a AU plug in in Cubasis. Low cpu hit, GUI is easy to access. Thank goodness Yonac showed how it should work! I haven’t been able to record the movements of the XY pads as automation in Cubasis yet ... not sure if it’s not supported within Kauldron, or if something else is in play. But if you are trying to go all AU and get rid of all the IAA / routing headaches then try this. Let me play around a bit mote and see if the extra star is forthcoming!.Version: 1.0
✓ .... A Beast Synth 🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪!!!I been using Yonac synth for a few years now , very complete suite for music 🎶 production , especially if you are looking for mobility. Magellan is my favorite of all , Kauldron and Kaspar are powerful enough but - the don’t have a sequencer , Magellan does . Very easy to create Unique Samples and send them via email to Desktop DAW. I also miss the browser download which Magellan has , much simpler to send for large audio files . The SPAWN feature is a Beast 🔥🔥🔥 I been creating original effects for my Trance Music 🎼 project in a Breeze. I hope Yonac bring a DrumMachine , PAD Launcher and DAW to their product line..Version: 1.0
