IMPC Pro 2 for Negative User Reviews

No refundJust realized I can’t get refunded. Disliking this company more and more.Version: 2.1.6

Keeps CrashingJust purchased this app and it’s not cheap. It seems to be a good, app but it randomly keeps crashing and booting me out of the app. I will try monitor it to see if it crashes when I do a certain something..Version: 2.0.9

CrashesAfter Update crashes often when using AU..Version: 2.0.10

I expected moreAfter using the app for a few days, I’d say it’s finally moving in the right direction, but still is far from reaching its potential . Why not per pad effects? Track effects? With a name like Akai Professional , the app that’s supposed to be the MPC on an iPad should be a bit further along in development at this stage in the game . Another major concern is that the app doesn’t seem to make use of the iOS files app, or Dropbox . Which would make transferring your sample libraries into this app much less of a pain. I think this app feels rushed. Keep pushing forward and get it right..Version: 2.0.1

Au instruments are out of tune! Can’t fix!I just got a new 2018 iPad Pro to start doing mobile production and the Akai LPK wireless keyboard. I’ve tried using numerous midi controllers with this app and all of the au instruments are in the wrong key and between keys! When i use the other apps by themselves they’re perfect! And i can’t use my Akai wirelessly. And can with plenty of other apps. Seems like Akai should take this app more seriously. Too many bugs and missing features. I’ll consider this money wasted. Time to find another app for what i want to do cause this ain’t it! This coming from a person that owns multiple mpc’s!.Version: 2.0.9

What Happened???Love the app. Downloaded multiple sound packs and was even able to import other programs via Audio Copy, but for the past few weeks, I cannot ‘tweak’ anything. Every time I try,the app closes down and I lose all unsaved work... everything is updated and I have plenty of space on my HD. Anyone have a clue?.Version: 2.0.8

NopeThe app crashes when I try to load audio units. Crashes with every audio unit I own. Spent ages setting up samples on the pads and tweaking them. I go to record and there are no samples on any pads. So I load them all again and hit record. They’re all playing now. I listen to my recording and half the pads haven’t been recorded. ..Version: 2.1.2

I love it... butI love this app due to it allowing me to feel like I’m getting an mpc experience for a fraction of the price, however the countless bugs and glitches make it really hard to fully utilise. For example, just today I’ve had a bar where the sample just doesn’t play for some reason (despite it being unmuted and on the timeline), another sample that doesn’t play every time when I press it (making it impossible to drum with) and just many other issues that really hold this back from being what it could. Finally, the sampling feature with Spotify is great... except you only get a 30 second interval that’s randomly picked to choose from and also the search feature doesn’t fully work there but a song can still be sampled if it’s in a playlist. Overall I want to love this app, I really do but it’s so frustrating to use with the constant minor bugs and issues that should’ve been fixed long ago..Version: 2.1.3

Wheres the discount?Purchased this to complete the iMPC Pro bundle, but no discount? What gives?.Version: 2.0.1

TerribleTerrible do not buy this.Version: 2.1.2

Deserves More Than OneStat BUTSo I had purchased iMPC Pro 1 a few years ago and had recently bought a new iPad. A few months ago you could still download the iMPC 1 app from the App Store but now Akai has removed it meaning I had no choice but to update to iMPC Pro 2. Technically I could have continued to use iMPC Pro 1 as I still have it installed on my iPad but if I had got a new iPad again or decided to reset this one to factory default I would have no way to re-download iMPC Pro 1. Very shady move if you ask me. I was reculatant to get this app but it was the only way I could rate the app and complain about this so yeah to Akai: Stop trying to milk the pockets of small producers that don’t have your real hardware. It makes us not trust you as a company and the young producers are the future of music so you should be impressing us now. Not trying to rip us off and stop offering an App I paid good money for. Also the fact this isn’t a universal app is very dumb as well. I probably won’t download packs but someone said you have to buy those twice too. I should stick to my OP-1 and OP-Z by TE but I love having pads. I also own Akai Midi controllers and this whole removing iMPC Pro 1 makes me not want to buy Akai again. If you re-add iMPC Pro 1 out of principal (what if some poor person had to format their iPad they just get screwed over and then cant but this new version) than I will gladly change my rating to the 5 stars this app deserves. It is great on its own but stop being shady please..Version: 2.0.9

Ok but needs updateCloses hell of a lot.Version: 2.0.9

Had high hopes……but didn’t live up to expectation. Basically, you can add sounds from Spotify, Apple Music and their own chargeable sample packs. That’s it. It’s a REAL headache to access any other audio files. It takes full advantage of the iOS sandbox environment to maximise revenue by selling you its own sample packs and limit access to anything else. This could have been so good, but I just go back to hardware. Much more flexible and fun. Don’t waste your time with it.Version: 2.1.7

Just please stop being stubbornEvery other music creation app on my iPad can access files through the document picker. But not iMPC pro 2. Retronyms seems to deliberately want to make using our own sounds and loops as hard as possible. Yet purchasing their own content is as easy as can be. All this does in the long term is generate bad feeling amongst iMPC pro’s users. I get the need to generate turnover with in app purchases but to be so blatant in the way users are steered into that course of action is so disingenuous that it becomes boring. Plenty of other apps use the same same business model but are able to to make it easy to import your own sounds. Take any app by Novation as an example. Their apps make full use of iOS 11s document picker and allow the bulk import of users sounds quickly and easily. As a result I make the occasional purchase of their own content as well. I do this because I don’t feel totally dissed as a user who dares to want to be responsible for every sound and loop used. Retronyms, it seems, hate the idea of their users creating their own building blocks for their own original creations. It’s a shame because iMPC 2 pro has the potential to be a quick, lightweight, groove box. It has an excellent working interface that can be inspiring to work with. But please, just let us get to our sounds just as quickly in order to maintain our inspiration..Version: 2.0.4

HilariousWhat a joke lol.Version: 2.0.4

.Does this app works with internet only? Lots of bugs, crashes........?.Version: 2.0.9

Warning: No MIDI OutThe settings menu shows MIDI out configurations. However, there seems to be no MIDI Out functionality. I honestly have no idea how they can claim “Extensive MIDI Support.” It looks to be a fine program for sample playback, but unfortunately, lack of MIDI makes iMPC Pro 2 insufficient for my needs. Also note that I did have a couple times where the app froze when I was testing it..Version: 2.0.10

Am I missing something?I finally bought this app because I thought I could import audio loops I made in other apps and slice them up for performance. That does not seem to be the case at all. The pasteboard feature I use easily to move sounds between other apps has no effect here. To make things worse, inter app input so far is completely non functional for any source app I’ve tried. Just dead, no sound, no connection. It seems like the only thing you can really do is buy pre made sample packs or record in directly. I hope there’s just something really obvious I’m missing, because I’m feeling cheated..Version: 2.0.9

NightmareFull of bugs... glitches between sequence playback. Wave editing anomalies and sequence arrangements that bizarrely reorder themselves at times. As a long time MPC user I was enjoying this app until it started to let me down and when it did I lost months of work. Don’t risk it..Version: 2.1.2

Back to Beatmaker 3Every iTunes track I’ve tried to download into the turntable sampler is DRM protected so unable to use! Also all my previous sample packs are no longer restoring?! Disappointed, as I much prefer the layout in IMPC pro 2 compared to BM3, just unfortunately not fit for purpose in my opinion..Version: 2.1.2

Bit of a disappointment sorryThis potentially very powerful app ends up as a limited, fun toy - but maybe that’s the point? It doesn’t play well with controllers and there seems to be zero built-in MIDI support. At least with iMPC Pro 1, controllers like the Arturia MiniLab worked right away but with v2, nothing. I could be wrong but how would you know? The documentation is one, very short, top-line only, scrolling page that’s un-styled (so looks like a test) and explains nothing in-depth. If you’re after a fun toy with built-in sounds, then five stars. But if you were hoping to sample your own stuff, use a pad controller to chop/edit/sequence and integrate the results back into your DAW, then it’s painful. General MIDI controllers don’t seem to work, recording audio into an iPad blows (not the app’s fault but this ruins any hope of sampling original music), and there are no docs. Clearly a lot of work has gone into this app and the basic sample/chop/editing features you need seem to be there. There’s just no easy way to get original music into it (i.e. sample!) and hardware integration is painful or non-existent. A lost opportunity for a quick, easy, MPC-style sampler app. Your mileage may vary depending on your needs..Version: 2.0.9

Quantize adds distracting delay while recording performanceI won’t spend too much time reviewing as half the time my reviews never show up, but I will say that this app has some great sounding packs and an interesting approach to creating tracks. While I am not a fan of sequencing any full production in a scene based arrangement , I do like using it for it’s percussion and one hits in audiobus. Now the real problem. If you want to record your performance while quantize is active you are in for a real distraction. For some reason if you press a pad it will play the off-time sound, and then also play the quantize sound. This makes it impossible to keep timing solid as it sounds like a delay. The only other choice is recording with quantize off, but then you need to spend all of your time quantizing notes manually. It’s a real chore that prevents me from rating this 4 stars. They need to fix this as it has been like this for months..Version: 2.1

Is this a scam? How am I supposed to import my own samples?.Version: 2.1

Disappointed or is expert midi feature jus hiddenThe features list Expert MIDI support but MIDI sync and any sort of output seems not possible. My iRig is listed in both Input and Output sections of the MIDI settings menu but there seems no way to select it as a output in a track. Would also like to have MIDI sync so can start stop ext drum machines, bass synths, etc..Version: 2.1.7

Ripped offPayed $40 and won’t load saved songs. I want a refund please.Version: 2.1.3

App constantly crashingI would give it a higher star rating however every time i try to copy multiple sounds into the libray or onto the pad it crashes i'm forced to have to copy 1 sound at a time.Version: 2.1.2

Crashes too oftenI’ve had the app for a week and now when I try to load sounds through Audiopaste and the iTunes file sharing the app crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have a lot of sounds on my PC and want to load them into the app. There’s also apparently no way to delete a sound from the library on the app once it’s in there..Version: 2.0.8

Not there yetWhen they fix the glitches I will give it 4 stars. When they add the missing features I will give it 5. What’s broken: It has trouble looping audio files from their own store. There is a crackle on the 1 and a hiccup at the end. The automatic tempo feature seems to be off. The AU instruments feature is crashy. Some apps load with missing controls. Some crash when you press buttons on the built in MpC keyboard. It’s a struggle. What’s missing: AU MiDI and AU effects are not supported. This means that you can’t add professional EQ and mastering plug ins. In general I like it but.... Right now it’s not a professional level DAW..Version: 2.0.10

BUY PATTERNING 2 NOT THIS APPUseful as a toy, just don’t get anywhere near serious when editing or recording anything. Wasted hours loading samples and making kits, just to find out that recording anything basically crashes the app, along w numerous other app breaking bugs. 3rd gen iPad Pro, no more blaming apple, my other apps are fine, this is def the most buggy, unusable paid app ever made. Good thing your hardware engineers are better than your software devs, or you wouldn’t have made it this far. Looks like you took some of my previous advice and gave up on this app, no updates lol, you’re awful. Take the money and run. BUY PATTERNING 2 DONT WASTE YOUR CASH ON THIS GARBAGE..Version: 2.1.2

FUN daw BUT!Before I give my cons I would start off with the pro’s KILLER WORKFLOW!!! Love the look and the organization EVERYTHING IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!! Learning curve was a BREEZE! Everybody do the impc university thing the diploma is a pretty good soundpack. Now onto my cons: Why don’t we have a metronome on/off switch for playback and not just for recording? That is pretty standard and a must for me to get my groove going alot faster at the start of creating. Without the feature we are playing our groove possibly at the wrong tempo we set due to the fact we can’t hear it. I manually add 4/4 hi hats to have some sort of metronome. The mixer for tracks are cool BUT fader/fx controls up to 64 different sounds depending how many sounds you have on a track and its banks. So it forces you to mix the track sounds individually on the tweak side of things BUT WE CAN’T add fx that way nor have a hi mid lo eq. We have lo-pass and hi-pass which is ok but i would like to see fx to each individual pad with a 64 fader mixer for 1 track. I love the audio unit for instruments can we get that for fx? Fix that and this is a hands down 5star daw. Even with the above mentioned cons I couldn’t mention all the pro’s which are GREAT I have a blast when i work with the impc pro 2! Highly recommend this daw..Version: 2.0.9

Sampling is terribleSeems like right when I’m ready to use my sample it stops working......I record it then try to play it back and nothing....also crashes randomly and I lose work. App would be great if it wasn’t noticeably plagued with bugs. Forgot that I can’t select which track to delete so it always deletes the last one SMMFH.Version: 2.0.2

Cool for people new to creating musicYou can do some cool stuff within this program but it is limited. The app starts glitching out and freezing a few times on songs with maybe only 3 tracks and 1 AU. Exporting files are a pain. Search around. This app is not bad...but there are more thought out options out there and perhaps with some updates this can be a go to also..Version: 2.0.6

PLEASE ADD MORE MPC STUDIO 2 BUTTON FUNCTIONALLY!I purchased iMPC Pro 2 the day I bought my first iPad 3 yrs ago and still use it even after moving onto a full blown Mac & buying a mpc studio 2 with the MPC software. The 16 drum pads work like a charm but I cannot use any of the other buttons in their normal function. I kind of figured that since akai makes both products then you should be able to use the MPC studio, or any other akai usb products & have them work just fine with the iPad Pro. I would absolutely love to be able to use my touch strip, knob, play, note repeat etc basically turning my iPad into a screen for my MPC Studio when I don’t want to lug my MacBook around. Improve these features I will gladly return the app to a five star rating!.Version: 2.1.6

The MPC iOS has been waiting forThis software MPC does what it does well and I can’t really fault it. Since the last maintenance update it seems to run smoothly and I’ve had no crashes. I like the design and layout; everything is logical and straight forward, which is important as it doesn’t detract from the creative flow. I feel like this is an app where I could really get things done. My only real gripe is the lack of support for AU effects, which at this stage of the game is a glaring omission, and the reason that I’ve removed one star from the review. I’ve also removed another star for purposely making it more difficult to import my own samples..Version: 2.0.9

IssuesTry as i might I cannot import purchased iMPC pro packs. Looks impressive but a waste of money due to compatibility problems..Version: 2.0.10

Can’t Load Your Own SamplesI spent a lot of money on this (in the app world anyway), and there is not simple way to load my own samples…which is why I bought it. I’m using the original version because this one makes it impossible to do anything I used to do. Sad. I really loved the original app but this…sucks..Version: 2.1.7

Inspiration killerStill the worst iPad app when it comes to importing your own samples, the developers are too preoccupied with selling sound packs than making a better user experience. You should be able to drag and drop samples from the Files app but developer greed would never allow that to happen. I would never recommend this app to anyone I own an Mpc Live 2 and this is nothing like an Mpc tbh.Version: 2.1.7

This is not itToo many glitches! tech-support is not great! They sent me a beta test version I used it Follow the steps had the same problems and got no further response from the tech-support team… Either get a better system or stick to hardware please… This is steps away from rip off.Version: 2.1.2

2 crashes within 12 hoursWhat a great app this COULD BE. But it’s crashed twice within 12 hours. The 2nd crash was while adding a 3rd track. I downloaded this thinking I was a consumer, not a beta tester. So, devs, what’s the plan for bug fixes? When should we expect some updates and fixes? Or should I contact Apple to say the app doesn’t work and I want a refund? I don’t mean to be demanding but asking for an app to work seems reasonable enough..Version: 2.0.9

Recording latencyThere is an issue with recording latency. Whenever i play with it as a toy, both with virtual pads as well as with my Presonus Atom controller, then everything is working fine with no issues. However, whenever i’m trying to record there is a lag and obvious latency which is frustrating because i have to spend a lot of time moving and adjusting the notes with my apple pencil in the timeline. I know that this is fixable. I own your old iMPC Pro for iPad, which you don’t even have in the app store anymore, and there is a zero lag or latency when recording, including when I’m using my Presonus Atom pad controller. I was excited about the new version and I do appreciate the improvements but at this point it appears that iMPC Pro is better suited for actual recording because of zero lag and stability. iMPC Pro 2 appears to be only good for toying around at this point. I have both iMPC Pro and Pro 2 on my 2nd gen iPad pro. All is up to date. I don’t get it. How is the old, seemingly obsolete iMPC Pro outperforms iMPC Pro 2 when it comes to actual recording?.Version: 2.1.2

None of the iMPC pro apps have been stableI’ve been using this app since before they added pro to the name. I was real excited about the update and went and bought a 12.9” iPad to really take advantage of it. I wish I would of saved my money. Since version 1 of iMPC pro this app has rarely been reliable. You just never know what’s going to make it crash! As of this date I still can’t save my chops to the pads. Crashes every single time! And the last update was at least 3 months ago! Theres always something that will crash this app. Mark my words. And now I hear they’re coming out with an iPhone version before making sure the iPad version was straight. This could be a great app but the constant (and I do mean constant) crashing will drive even the most patient person insane. There are too many other music making apps in the store to suffer thru the headaches of this one..Version: 2.0.9

BaffledI bought impc pro 4 years ago which I loved and was automatically upgraded to pro 2 which has a different way of making a track and I just don’t get it. It was a bad upgrade and I’ve hardly used it which is a shame. Is they a way to get the first version back?.Version: 2.1

GlitchyWhy is the iMPC PRO2 stammering when I go into record to lay in notes. I’m always getting a delayed response and it’s slowing ideas by me having to record again or edit in the timeline. Of course the AU plugins and stem exports are great, and there should be a stem export update for iMPC pro too. Transferring of iMPC pro projects to iMPC pro2 is tedious. What fixes are forthcoming for this ghosting, stammering of notes in record mode..Version: 2.0.9

Great app - horrible nagwareI love the app but the start up is driving me insane! I would love to do the online course, but can you at least accept my email address? Not only does it not remember that I have supplied said address (after having to add a space at the end), it makes me re-enter it the same buggy every time. And then it keeps taking me back to lesson one.Version: 2.0.1

Sample from Spotify is mostly uselessWhat it doesn’t say in the description is that the software will pick a random 30 second extract from the song you want to sample. You have no control over what part of the song that is. If I can’t sample the piece of music I want, then what is the point of this feature? I feel mislead..Version: 2.0.10

Lacking Some BasicsNot possible to import wav files with file picker. It's possible to go via AudioShare then AudioCopy, but that's too many steps for a basic function and iMPC Pro 2 crashed when I attempted to edit the sound, even though it played from that pad. No snap to zero crossing when adjusting chop points and that can lead to unpleasant clicky artefacts, especially when using the low pass filter. Not possible to drag a performance pad to another, only the sample. Not possible to select multiple pads to adjust performance settings (pitch, envelopes, filter) so the same adjustments need making multiple times for chopped samples. Not possible to adjust pitch by semitones, making it fiddly to get musical results. Too fiddly to adjust the envelopes. Spotify sampling only gives you a fixed 30 second clip of each song and if that doesn't capture the drum break you want it's tough. If you just want to buy the sound packs and make something unoriginal you might like it but if you're used to working with a hardware MPC or anything like Battery or Renoise you'll be disappointed..Version: 2.0.10

🤔HmmmmmmHey guys! How’s it going? I think it’s time to get the MPC software on iOS, these iPads can handle it 💪🏾don’t let some other company do it first Cubasis is the closest thing we have to a desktop DAW and BM3 takes inspiration from you and another company (I won’t say names🤫) in my humble opinion I think we’re just ready for more of a desktop experience😬 thank you for your time✌🏾.Version: 2.1.7

Return RequestedWell, after multiple days of trying to make a basic track and getting nowhere, I’ve requested a refund. I’ve been using MPC hardware for over a decade and this app doesn’t even come close to what making a beat is like on any akai device. No click in play, no intuitive chopping (I set a start point on sample edit and in perform mode plays the sample nowhere remotely close to where I set the start point). The list goes on. Don’t waste your money..Version: 2.1.3

IPad Pro 12” User HAS Immediate DisappointmentWell...let me preface. I have been a long time user of both iMPC and iMPC Pro and have been excited about this upgrade for a while. I bought an iPad Pro 12” to up my game. I almost bought the original MPC cover that was made for the original iPad because I loved this app so much. I am thoroughly enjoying the apps that take advantage of the screen space on the iPad Pro 12”. It actually feels much better making music on the bigger surface. THIS VERSION OF THE APP UNFORTUNATELY DOES NOT. The most glaring problem for me is the size of the pads for iMPC are the same exact pixel space if they were on the smaller iPads with a lot of empty grey space surrounding them. PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE GOING TO FIX THIS - IF NOT, I want a refund. By the way, the pads on iMPC Pro 1 scale up to the full size of the area. How was this missed on version 2? I love you guys - If this is fixed, I’ll be able to give a proper review and feel like I can use this instrument. I’m really excited about the new features but I don’t want to even attempt playing the pads at that size. I got the iPad Pro for this reason. Heck, iMPC is one of the main reasons I upgraded my iPad. Otherwise, it feels completely unnatural to play in the smaller pads that just float in the middle of the big open grey area., Please fix so I can give you guys the review this app deserves..Version: 2.0.6

Do not buySent an email to support and another follow up email and did not receive a reply.Version: 2.0.9

Not as intuitive as it SHOULD BE!Buys iPad Pro, gets IMPC PRO2, BEATMAKER 3, Korg Gadget, Auria, Cubasis 2.. Update: Thanks for the tech support guys! I am trying.. Tweak: Q: Why can’t I just press and hold on a sample pad and then have the option to delete it!? Or replace it?! It’s soooo annoyingly unintuitive! I added all my samples to iTunes library against my better judgement and I can’t get to them!! WTF is going on ? PLAY / SONG MODE WHICH IS WHICH? Is Green Light Song Mode on?? I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO ASK THIS SIMPLE QUESTION SONG ON / OFF would have worked . The easiest DAW by far so far ‘sequencer wise’ is Cubasis2, Auria, Korgs Gadget is very nice once you suss it out, but iMPC Pro 2 sequencer not so easy, going to take some practice and a lot of YouTube tutorials just not intuitive enough like all the others, it’s easy to program bars, but the sequencer not so easy. The Turntable feature looked good BUT after updating to Spotify Prime I could only load 30 seconds of a sample from a random point what’s the point of that??? It’s useless!!! I can’t use any sample I want, I need to use Babyscratch or Djay Pro or Djay2 and sample through Audio Share then Audio Copy it across :/ making this feature redundant!. Save your money use mp3convert.com and drop box and use YouTube for samples. Re: iTunes library, I don’t want use it, do I now have to transfer project samples to iTunes? Looks like I do, it will then mix all my samples and tunes together, and it did, very annoying. There’s no way to get samples from document picker? Why can’t the Sequencer be easier to use, I just want to sample straight into a track and chop , or import WAV to a track, accurately zoom and fade edges, adjust volume or normalise, copy, cut, slice, paste by simply touching and holding a wave or selected midi part or parts, like Cubase does on PC. WHY am I wracking my brain with this sequencer, because it can only duplicate from where you are, there’s no way to see a larger canvas let’s say like other sequencers , I can’t range up specific parts on say bar 2 and copy them to say bar 21 if there is no bar 21 for example, you have to build as you go. Can’t the sequencer have a wave mode where I can just import wavs as new tracks without being assigned to pads? Am I missing something? Rant off for now, back to tutorials, as soon as Korg Gadget support AU I’m off.. so far the winner has to be Cubasis 2 it allows you to use the most from the touch screen zooming in and out on wavs for accurate chopping within the sequencer and you can see the tracks stacked on top of each other much easier to work out the overall arrangement. I can see this is possible but I haven’t got anywhere near this arrangement stage yet and that’s wrong! Don't get me wrong I’ve had fun but I’ve also lost projects that were going good because I simply can’t “SAVE AS” the project I have to change the name within the file system and that took ages to work out, I've worked out how to quick save. I’ve accidentally deleted parts and some good recordings and can’t undo or get them back, if I had SAVE AS say dnbproject2 it wouldn’t be so bad as I’d know where I am, but the auto save is confusing as I don’t know what the track is or if it’s the right version or mix. BUG in audio track, iPad mic switch over to inter app audio in this case I pick Sunrizer synth, then select it again above by tapping the icon it loads then crashes back to home screen, got it to work once if your run sunrizer first! Also why doesn’t IMPC PRO 2 show up in Audio Bus 3 ?? I just don’t get it... I try to highlight tracks to duplicate them but nothing happens, I try to drag duplicate nothing, there’s no way to set the length or adjust the length of a bar once it’s recorded this is easy peasy in Korg Gadget, so say I record a synth part that’s 8 bars long in say audio share and import it to a pad I can only get to play for 1bar, so now I try to duplicate the others to make the track longer so the long synth line underneath and I can’t. WHERES THE FULL PRINTABLE INSTRUCTION MANUAL!? I’ve only been playing with sequencers twenty plus years to a professional level it shouldn’t be this annoying but it is!.Version: 2.0.9

Dud do not waste your money !!!!!!Downloaded app today & it won’t open. Some sort of glitching. Was looking forward to diving into this beast!! Help please. All my iOS updates are current & all my apps are functioning at 100 %. No other issues....... Requesting a full refund garbage still won’t load. My iPad is only 2 years old with all the updates. And the developer has yet to contact me apologize nothing !! Just crickets 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨.Version: 2.1

Update$So I guess this app is done updating they say contact to inquire about issues then never resolve issues and a producer had warned me that they are only concerned with only selling sound libraries @ this point is very disappointing, this app had promising potential But I guess it’s more about getting our money instead of giving us our moneys worth,I guess it’s to late to request a refund @ this point I’d rather just use GarageBand.Version: 2.1.7

Again.Could not just update the first app. Add au and audio tracks but left everything the same. Nothing helps this app unless you have AudioCopy. Time line edit is so slow. Can’t rename tracks. Can’t import projects from impc Pro 1 or stem export. Such a bad role out and info given. It seems it took what the customer wanted and basically did enough to say we changed and upgraded everything for a whole new app. Retro yams needs step there game up. Basic ain’t enough. What separates them?.Version: 2.0.1

DisappointedOnce you dig deep into this app, there is endless possibilities. It is a MPC on the go. I love it, made great beats and full songs with it. BUT in the last year, Once I load in my samples and start making folders to get my self organized. I would say maybe the 15th beat it won’t load a session and crashes every time. When someone puts a lot of trust into a app for there music product you don’t expect to have to delete the entire app and re due everything for it to do it all over again. PLEASE FIX - 10 star if this is fixed..Version: 2.1.7

Do not buy!!! CRASHES CONSTANTLY, MIDI IS TERRIBLEI have the most current iPad Pro 10.5” and completely updated OS. Don’t trust the reviews here. Search online and you will learn what I had to the hard way: THIS APP WILL CRASH QUICKLY AND REPEATEDLY, erasing your work and settings with it unless you save after every single input and don’t mind rebooting the app every few minutes after crashes. Building a new kit requires hours of frustration when the process could take minutes if the software was stable. MIDI is a mess. I cannot have both MIDI cables attached to my controller. If I do, this app will send a nonstop stream of data that prevents any use. The other option is to turn off MIDI out for this app. Either way, MIDI required stressful effort over multiple days just to get any result at all. Still miserable to use and still requires disabling 2-way MIDI communication. This app would be AMAZING if it functioned as promised..Version: 2.0.7

Garbage appCan’t tune all sample chops at once as well as other things. Workflow is horrible. I like how the automation works with sequences and the ducker but other than that this app is garbage. App needs lazy chop and the ability to tune and do other things like adjust level, attack, release and mute groups to all sample chops within its program all once. And I gotta download some other garbage app to import my own samples??? No thanks I’m getting a refund. Don’t buy this app it’s a waste of time..Version: 2.1.6

Was my go to…This was my go to, but AudioCopy being the only way to use imported files is finished. PLEASE change this as via the reviews this has been an issue for a long time.Version: 2.1.6

Wow……..ohWas toying downloading this app. Was interested in using tracks out of my (vast) iTunes library to build some sample based music. I own an Akai Force so thought “hey this’ll be great”. Then noticed it’s in the sale. No brainier really. Loaded it up. Love the turntable feature. Got a sample into the first pad. Fantastic. Not learnt how to loop it yet but I’m sure that’ll come. Loaded another sample. A nice 70’s soul funk beat. Edited. Wow. I thought this is a doddle. I’m the new DJ Shadow. Then it crashed. Yeah first go. Come on. First go? Ok back to Korg Gadget I go..Version: 2.1.7

FrustratingCannot download own samples.Version: 2.0.9

Starts off well but cracks begin to show over timeThis app has stopped working and crashes whenever I try to open a project. The AudioCopy method of transporting custom samples literally makes me want to cry with frustration. At one up point the AudioCopy importation method was no longer an option as the app stopped connecting to AudioCopy and would not display any of my samples when the sharing file was opened. AudioCopy often says that my sample folder is empty or it just gets stuck on the loading page. Now the app is completely useless as I cannot even open Mt past projects. I’d like to avoid losing any work that I’ve done, but even customer services does not seem so easily accessible. It’s an email address or an faq page so it the app messes up and you lose all your work, you’re probably on your own..Version: 2.1.2

Issues when using Bluetooth headphones...Using this with Bluetooth headphones doesn’t appear to be particularly well supported. Will amend review once that’s fixed..Version: 2.0.1
