We tried using iRig2 and headphones and without and as far as 8 can see when using Tonebridge, we get sound (so we know it’s working) the in app tuner works, yet when playing with the app, the notes played are not recognised? ✓ Can’t do anything and doesn’t work wellI never review any app, but this one just irked me so much. There’s not many songs you can play with out paying for the premium version. It often didn’t pick up notes when you played them and picked up notes when you didn’t play them. The tuner isn’t very good. When I was on the tuner and tried to pick a low E, my phone started emitting a high pitched whining note which I originally thought was from my amp. It only stopped when I closed the app. Save your time and don’t download..Version: 2.1.6

✓ Needs improvementIt’s an ok app just needs improving. There is no search engine so you have to scroll though all the songs to find the one you want to learn. There’s not enough songs on the app generally 3 songs per band. Arctic Monkeys aren’t even on the app at the moment. Premium doesn’t feel like an improvement at all. I don’t really care about teaching as I teach myself when looking at complicated songs. You can pause the music and learn the piece before you continue which is great! It’s just a shame that there isn’t many power chord songs as they’re the best. If only the app really sticks to the songs that people want to play. I really wanted to play monkey wrench by Foo Fighters and Brianstorm by Arctic Monkeys but they’re not on there as it’s not as diverse in songs as other apps are although it does have some good songs but not for me though..Version: 2.3.0

✓ Sound issuesI am playing on an EVH Wolfgang special, using the iPad 11 Pro, connected to the Line 6, Spider V; all cables have gold connectors. Exercises are full of static, and slow to recognize that I have played a note. Even though I only experience this problem with this app, I tried adjusting the volume levels, different chords, and tapping on things to find a loose connection, but in the end I could not replicate the static or improve its condition. I have been using this setup for two years now, and can’t understand why I am having this issue with this app only. I didn’t have this problem when this app was in testing (Beta). It was so beautiful in testing, the only reason I ever moved away from it was because at the time I spent so much time with it and it was so new, I ran out of challenging songs to play. Back then I was using the iPad Pro 10.5, now I only have a USB-C port for my audio connection. I think that is probably the issue: I used to connect the 3.5mm audio to the stereo and the lightning cable to my amp. Now everything has to go to the amp with the USB-C cable, because there hasn’t been a 3.5mm audio plug on any new Apple device in two years now (not one that uses this app anyway.) Too bad this app doesn’t work anymore, it had a lot potential considering Ultimate Guitar’s extensive library..Version: 2.3.0

✓ Promising but needs moreOk, so I tried the beginner lesson and the song of the day to see if this was worth subscribing to. There doesn’t appear to be any indication of what fretting fingers to use nor direction of picking / strumming. As a 4 month experience guitar beginner, I don’t think this app would be useful to me. I fingered 1 or 2 chords on the song of the day and it indicated I’d played correctly for that chord but also for the next chord even though the fingering had changed but I hadn’t. I used a generic ‘irig’ through the headphone port and it seemed to work without problem. It looked to have a good starting selection of songs for subscribers and the backing track of the free song of the day sounded good. Each track is rated for rhythm or melody difficulty, but I couldn’t see a way of playing the rhythm and being graded on that performance, there’s just an indication of the chord to play... but again, not how to play it. There didn’t appear to be any lessons on techniques although they could be hidden behind the subscription..Version: 1.1.9
✓ Keeps crashingIt keeps crashing on my iPad mini AND my iPhone X. I’ve reinstalled on both and same thing on tutorial, part 3 open strings. I’ve completed it like 9 times and it crashed either during or at the end where the question flashes and crashes. I won’t want to keep this past the trial if I can’t utilize it to learn how to play. ✓ Trying to like this app......but I just can’t get it to recognize my guitars. I’m using the MeloAudio TS1 which is not on the “supported” list, but a compliant usb interface is a compliant usb interface. :) Few if any apps list the MeloAudio, as it’s not as popular as iRig, etc. but it works with everything else so far. I am wondering if the problem lies in not being able to select my input. The guitar input on the MeloAudio is Input 2 by default and I wonder if the app only assumes Input 1 to be used. I haven’t found any setting for input selection yet. I’ll keep trying for a bit and update if I figure it out..Version: 2.2.9

✓ Not the bestThe app was free, so I was hoping to get free lessons and actually learn guitar. When I saw the premium had to be paid for, I thought "ok, I just won't do premium". I saw that the first lesson was free. When I finished the lesson, I was ready to move to the next, just to find out that ALL of the next lessons had to have premium. I was very unhappy about that. ✓ Not worth the price.At first the app appeared to be a good beginner and refresher tool. However the app stopped working in the Notes and Chord shape at level 10. The rest of the app works. There is no way to contact support to inform them of the issues as the link is no longer valid. The songs are not taught they played and you must keep up with the chord transitions. No chord tablature to view. The chord chart is displayed while scrolling. One excellent part of this app is the Barre Chord. If you have troubles making Barre Chords the exercises in the app for barre chord are great..Version: 2.3.0
