I gave Agile Partners apps 5 stars priorThey were quite on top of their game and I paid for all of them and the IAPs. Something has happened in the last year or so and they don’t seem to respond quickly and don’t seem to be adding to the Apps nor developing new ones. Not sure why as they were quite good at it..Version: 2.3

Where’s “restore purchase“?I bought all effects and amps but got a new iPhone and now the option “restore purchase” didn’t show!.Version: 2.3

Not so good for bassPlease note that I'm using this for bass, not guitar, so your mileage may vary. All in all it's usable as a headphone practice amp but only if you have good headphones that can accurately produce bass. I even went ahead and bought the bass amp model and it's really not much better than the included Marshall clone. I found using this through a bass amp (transparent, set flat) or powered speakers resulted in a noisy sound with a lack of volume. Some of the effects are nice on bass, particularly the Elevenizer, the chorus and delay. So if you're a bass player and evaluating AmpKit, don't expect to use for anything other than a private practice tool..Version: 0

Want a refund... SeriouslyI travel a bit and practice my guitar nearly every day ad I'm a serious amateur musician. Of course I don't expect to use this for a live show, are you kidding? I just want it to sound decent--not even good--through headphones so I can practice with playalong tracks, songs from iTunes, etc. I had been using an ancient korg pandora's box, which was fine and dandy but of course meant carrying an extra box 2x the size of the phone, and 4 aaa batteries or bulky power supply. Since I love most apps on my iphone4, I thought this 4-out-of-5 star app would be great....certainly on par if not better than my old cheap pandora, right?? Wrong!! An dang was i dissappoonted. My axe-fx ultra does such an amazing modeling job...but this app has so many things wrong: ...Missing key features, lag, bad interface with iTunes, lackluster recording, unbelievable noise issues to deal with, Scratchy, poppy peavey interface 50 bucks for software and hardware???!!! Needless to say I'm back to the old pandoras box If you are an even somewhat serious guitarist you won't be able to stand the lag..Version: 1.1

It's getting there...but a few issuesOk, I'm pretty hardcore about recording guitars. So this was a tough sell. I didn't expect to be blown away. And I wasn't. But it's a nice practice tool and a way to play around with ideas. Here's the 2 major issues for me: feedback. And I'm talking feedback with the $200 Alasis IO Dock. And there's just NO reason for that. But even that falls way under THIS raging showstopper...I can't scrub through my backing track. What?!?! If I'm working on a solo and need to do multiple takes, there's no way to fast forward through the audio file to get where you need to be. I have to literally copy/paste my song from Goodreader (via Dropbox) to TwistedWave (iPad WAV editor), crop the solo part out and cut/paste that part back in to work with. Good Lord. At least this app supports the IO Dock. I just can't believe how long it's been since an update. Come on guys!.Version: 1.1

Not as good as amplitubeBut not horrible. The guy below is right, no bass amp included but that doesn't matter because the iPhones mic input can't do anything below 100 hz so if you play bass forget it, look somewhere else. I like that it let's you record and the way the effects are laid out but other than that amplitube sounds way, way better..Version: 0

Amazing sound but ...Ok...in first the sound is amazing but the amp can't be control by midi. All of others guitar amp simulator can be controled see amplitube, Isherd, and JamUp. In this time I thing to change for JamUp pro for the amazing song trainer and footswitcheable. Agile you don't listen your fans and for me "vous aller manquer le train".Version: 1.4

JunkThis is one of those apps where to use it properly if at all requires buying additional bits and pieces which then start to cost real money. I also purchased Amplitube and Pocket Amp a few months back which both work with the iRig set up, and have many effects and amps built in. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU THINK THE iRIG SET UP WORKS WITH THIS. I've chased the costs of this heap and with the additional bits and pieces, the others far outweigh this app value wise. Pocket Amp is okay but invest in the Amplitube instead. Waaayy better value for money. And no, I have no affliliation with any of the software developers..Version: 0

Lost all my purchasesHonestly I love this app used it allot a while back then I stop (long story) but just recently I got a new bass and no amp so I downloaded the app again and tried to restore purchases but nothing.. same Apple account and all.. this sucks.Version: 2.3

FailIf you think you can buy the Peavey 6505 tone for $24.99 and a Mesa (Taos) Rectifier for $8.29 think again. Save your money and the space on your device..Version: 1.1

IOS 16.5.1, iOS 16.6 Feedback and distortionOn my one device that has iOS 16.5 I have no issues with the app, but on my other iOS 16.5.1 and iOS 16.6 devices the audio comes out with this digital distorted with some feedback sometimes. It's also affecting bias amp 2 so I assume it just needs an update since the latest OS version broke something on these apps..Version: 2.3

UPDATE: NO RESTORE PURCHASES OPTION!!!PREVIOUS: There is no Restore Purchases option on iPhone Xs. I previously paid for ALL available and future items. I feel ripped off, to say the least!!! DO NOT BUY THIS APP UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED!!! UPDATE: I contacted SUPPORT, and they responded with the solution. Though not at all obvious, their solution worked, and ALL PURCHASES WERE RESTORED!!! If you are having this same problem as I had, contact SUPPORT online directly, as I did, for the solution. SUPPORT promised to fix the RESTORE procedure in their next update. They called the current problem “a bug”. Considering that it has been a year since the last update, I consider the current RESTORE “bug” a major support flaw. I updated my rating from one star to three stars today, but will not give this App five stars until the UI is updated with an OBVIOUS FUNCTIONAL RESTORE BUTTON. It’s a matter of loyalty and respect for the customer, and it’s about doing good business. My best regards..Version: 2.3

Good but in app purchases are a conAm really impressed with this app, but 11 quid plus 30 for the amp link should warrant all the Amps rather than having to pay yet more cash for them!.Version: 1.1

2 starsRestore purchases button is hidden at the very bottom of the gear store, basically impossible to see..Version: 2.3

Not happy.I had purchased every pack (the big everything bundle) ages ago (like maybe five iPhones back) and was supposed to get every new piece of kit included. I couldn’t find any ‘restore previous purchases’ button so clicked on the bundle to install it as AppStore gives message saying ‘you have previously paid for this and will be downloaded for free’ normally and then downloads your items, but it didn’t. It just changed another £40 nearly four what I had already had in the past. Why is there no restore feature in the settings? Makes no sense. Not happy.Version: 2.3

Bad ExperienceDon't do it! It looks ok until you pay to unlock the content...and it doesn't unlock. Then you try to re download and get charged again for the same content. At which point the "helpful" people at Agile disappear and refuse to respond to support requests..Version: 2.2.5

Does not work with air podsNo update since AirPods came out. Can’t use with a modern phone in a sensible manner. Used to be good, be don’t buy this until they bring it up to date..Version: 2.3

Not Bass Player Friendly without Spending Extra $$$I bought this ap and, although it is very guitar friendly,I was annoyed it had no bass guitar specific amps included. If you want thoseit cost extra. They should make a bass player version of this paid ap. Also you can not play along with your own iPhone music collection which is a huge oversight. The AmpKit LINK was difficult to source at retail and when I got the first one, it was defective - DON't buy online for this reason. The AmpKit LINK is cheap and poorly designed. It costs as much as some entry level mixing boards, which by comparison have way more componentry and higher quality parts. In short the AmpKit LINK is very overpriced. It also lacks a belt clip which would seem like a obvious nessesity. Over all, am very dissapointed and believe the door is wide open for a more professional attempt at this type of device. I wasted $70..Version: 0

Mmmm its okFor £14 You dont get alot of amp models or other stuff, instead you have to purchase more packs from in the app! If i knew this i wouldnt have bought it. Im using a tascam iu2 and it keeps glitching out, never had this problem with garageband. If they included more stuff in the original price it is worth 5 stars..Version: 1.3

Already purchased effectsI had already purchased all effects and amps. The restore license button is gone. I was advised to use the little white bar st the bottom under purchased. It does not work and I was then advised to waite for a next update. This app has been there for a long time, updates at this point to restore my purchases is not a solution. Ps: after reinstalling other guitar effects apps, I was prompted to restore my purchases upfront no fuss. So I moved on to use the other apps, just as good. Disappointed.Version: 2.3

SCAMMERS !!!!!!For 27.99 ( cdn ) you can purchase Ampkit +. After that, you can purchase more gear. BUT AFTER YOU PAY YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS.... U NEVER GET THE GEAR. WHAT A GREAT DEAL EH??? TONESTACK or JAMUP is much better than this $$$ THIEVING hunk of crap..Version: 2.2.5

Was my favorite app until ios16 and iPhone14proPlease fix the OTG audio input problem and I’ll update the stars for the review..Version: 2.3

Unable to restore purchases.Similar to other comments, some of which got resolved, I’m unable to restore my purchases. I reported the bug and hope to hear back soon on a solution..Version: 2.3

Money back pleaseFirst review strangely hasnt appeared. To sumerise it. Purchased every single extra in the free version then noticed the ampkit plus app. Presumed the was more in there that i didnt already have. No warning was given that this plus version didnt include anything that i didnt already have. Both the free version and the plus version show as seperate apps on my ipad with the plus version not recognising the extra purchases that i made with the free version rendering it pointless. Demand my money back. Dave.Version: 1.1

No option to restore purchasesThis feature has suddenly disappeared and the agile support crew don’t answer. I unlocked all amps and have been a loyal user for many years and now all my amps and pedals are gone with no option to restore. Emailing support has been futile. With vague answers referencing past app versions. I’ll be seeking a refund and letting Apple know how misleading and slow to respond the app developers are. This was the best app. Now it just steals money. Don’t upgrade your phone you’ll lose everything..Version: 2.3

AmpKit Pushed Their Paying Customers Off a CliffThey apparently sold to a TAB company and they tied the app to their tablature business. Always know that this can happen with any app. Another common practice is to claw back features and sell them back to you. Not to mention the new “RENTAL” craze. “You will own nothing and be happy.” “A steering wheel? You want a steering wheel? That’s another hundred dollars a month.” I bought the whole package what feels like a decade ago. It was the best sounding app at the time. Now? Abandonware..Version: 2.3

Needs improvementThe tones I have been able to extract from this app are good, and the level of functionality is generally very good, but There are two major issues; 1) The price. The application itself is a reasonable price, but the in app purchases are too expensive. 2) The incessant screeching. This is a huge issue for me. I use good quality headphones and guitar cables, so it is not the equipment I use. It is not possible to have a preset with anything more than a low level of gain (think Sunshine of Your Love) and not get an annoying screech. The app warns of the possibility if feedback when playing at high volumes through headphones, but this is not feedback, it is a screech due to poor execution. This is not acceptable, and makes the app almost completely unusable, hence the 2 star rating. If the screeching issue is resolved, then I will gladly revise this review as this app has the potential to be great..Version: 1.1

OK, but not very useful beyond the gimmickI got the ampkit along with the LiNK. Setting it up was easy and I tried it through an amp, headphones and PA. The first thing I noticed was the noise. This is one of the noisiest effects I have ever used. I can see why they prefer the noise gate on ALL the presets. Even clean sounds have noise. The second thing I encountered was feedback. Even using the headphones, feedback was present on any high gain sound. The sounds were a mixed bag. Heavy metal sounds were very accurate with easy pick harmonics and lushly broken up chords. All other sounds were so-so or just bad. One thing that was consistent was that all sounds were very bright. No tweaking corrected this. I just couldn't get a nice full sound out of it. Maybe I needed the extra downloaded content. I didn't have problems with saved presets. After power down the iphone and powering back up, all presets were still there. Maybe they fixed that in a patch. Overall, this is a decent little app for someone who doesn't want to carry a bunch of gear. I would dream of using this app live or in the studio though. The noise alone would be a problem along with the feedback issue..Version: 1.1

Can not restore purchasesUse to love this app. Just bought a new iPhone Xs and there is no option to restore all of my purchases. Avoid this app until the developer decides to do an update. In its current state you will be ripped off!.Version: 2.3

Absolutely no supportI attempted to contact them 4 times for a bug found in the app that was preventing switching between amp set-ups. Twice through their website, once using the "in app" feedback, and once by direct e-mail. I never even got an automated response saying they received anything. For the price of this app I would certainly expect better support than this..Version: 2.2.8

Lacks a delayNot bad, but I find it hard to ajust the input and it lacks a delay. Seems to me like a basic effect to throw in..Version: 1.1

No option Restore in-app purchases..This was my favorite app to play guitar. I liked it so much that I spent $50 to buy all Amps & FX. I was excited to use this app on my new iPhone X. I was quickly let down when I found that there was no way to restore my purchases on my iPhone X. If they fix this issue, I will fix my rating. Until then it’s a 1 star..Version: 2.3

Stick With the Free VersionNot enough additional effects for the price. You think you're getting lots of effects included, but you have to buy the more useful ones individually. Also needs multitrack recording. Poor value.Version: 0

CAN’T RESTORE PURCHASESI paid for everything to be unlocked but after getting a new phone it will not let me restore the amps and pedals I bought. Total scam..Version: 2.3

Wow.. Shockingly poor..I realise I am not the typical target customer for this, I am record producer that records metal guitars for a living, I own most of the amps in this app & also own Eleven, Guitar Rig, Waves GTR & Amplitube... I wasn't expecting the earth, this is a phone after-all Firstly the latency is unbearable, if you are a musician that likes to play in time this will drive you insane. After trying the app with a number of guitars, stock iPhone headphones, Grado RS1's & some Adam p33a reference monitors I was bitterly disappointed, it's the poorest sounding amp sim I have heard since the 90's The amps bear no relation at all to the real heads, if we put aside the abysmal distortion tone, the 3120 for example, the gain on 10 in the app is nearer the gain on 4 in the head the Q is completely wrong on the eq's, there is no way on earth these are modelled amps, they all sound like a stock digital distortion eq'ed to sound vaguely like a bad stereotype of the 'amps' with generic controls. If you can, check out the manufacturers demos, the tone is terrible, the players timing is very poor, which doesn't instil confidence. If it was .59p then fine, it's a bit of fun, but its £11.99 + £30.00 for the Peavey interface... + most of the amps are in app purchases and cost an extra £3.49 each!.Version: 1.1

Dead App?I was an early adopter of this app back when it was Peavey’s ampkit. Overall, this is a nice app with lots of versatility. I own ALL the upgrades and have used this extensively. However, it seems like Agile is letting this die on the vine. No updates to the app in two years. No new amp or effects models. No response to basic questions from their support website. I have to conclude they’ve decided they can’t compete with IK or Positive Grid (two good options)..Version: 2.3

Faulty playback of tracksApp keeps stopping during playback. My son bought this app for me so I'm disappointed the developers have let the public be the beta testers for £11.99 a time..Version: 1.2

No iPod songsSeriously? I can't just play along to songs in my iPod library? Surely that's the point if having this in the iPhone? What a waste if money.Version: 0

Not worth itI bought the Ampkit+ and Ampkit Link. The Ampkit Link iPhone to guitar interface is poor quality - the Link did not work right, had poor output levels, and had lots of static right out of the box. I'm returning it - and I wish I could get a refund for Ampkit too. Altogether it was a waste of $50. Noisy, lots of clicks and pops, and useless for learning songs – you can import songs but you always have to start them over from the beginning – there is no way to scrub the track playback position, adjust playback speed, or set up loops to learn songs. Not what I expected from Agile. - Guitar Toolkit is great, and I thought I'd be getting the same quality stuff in Ampkit..Version: 1.1

Stopped working with GaragebandCan’t get it to work using Apple’s Inter-App Audio API and as of writing this, the app hasn’t been updated in 4 years! Agile Partners should be ashamed. I regret giving them my money. They haven’t kept their end of the deal..Version: 2.3

Short changed?Bought Peavey Ampkit last week then Ampkit+ when I saw the AppStore details. The screen shot of Ampkit+ showed an impressive collection of additional pedals - including Accoustic8, Phase 72, Tremo-LOL and many others. Buyer beware! Only 5 of the pedals actually pictured in the advert are included! Sharp-practice?.Version: 1.7.1

Stopped WorkingUsed this for years with my iRig interface, spent a bunch of money on all of the add-ons, and it quit working. Irig works fine with Garage Band and Amplitube, but not Ampkit. Not impressed..Version: 2.3

AmpkitI can't imagine playing with this app in a PA, it sounds really digital, no tube feeling at all. I want my $20 back. No good clean sound nor distortion. You can get GarageBand for $5 with all the bonus if you really want to be able to get a kind of guitar sound....Version: 1.4
