YourDoctors - Online Doctor for Negative User Reviews

Maybe just not for meI decided to give this a shot to seek treatment for PCOS. I read an article on their website about seeking treatment for this condition so thought for sure they’ll help. I downloaded the app (which worked great), started my free trial and started talking to a doctor. When I explained my issues, she sent me a paragraph (clearly a premade universal response) about how PCOS is incurable (I know this) and to eat healthier. When I responded with how I’m worried about some of my symptoms she said that my symptoms are normal and to have a healthy lifestyle is my only course of action. I know this to be false. Yes, a healthy lifestyle could help (like a lot of other health conditions) but there’s birth control and other medications that’s helped women with my same symptoms for years. I found the doctor to be dismissive and like she didn’t actually care to treat me. I instantly went and cancelled my subscription and will be seeking medical help from an in-person doctor like I should have to begin with..Version: 2.8.3

Fake appIt shows 20$/ month and deducted 240$ feom my account for whole year. Don’t download it. Aleeady made a cinplain still no response..Version: 3.2.1

Fake appIt is a fake app . Don’t download it . They cheated with me , first it shows $20 for subscription then they deduct $240. Please do not download it.Version: 3.1.8

An Absolute JokeI’ve been using this app for over a year now. Mostly only once a month to refill my medication since I work during normal operating hours for my PCP. Just reached out due to feeling I’ll. My daughter tested positive for strep throat yesterday, her symptoms started 3 days ago. My throat starts hurting and I begin to feel pretty crappy. Start a “consultation” on here, and I pay the $60 every three months, and they tell me to drink chamomile tea and breath steam because what I have is not strep. I have white spots in my throat and my daughter tested positive for strep, but I have something viral and they won’t prescribe an antibiotic according to them. They acted like I was trying to get a narcotic and not an antibiotic. Absolutely ridiculous. Combine this with all the other times they never called my monthly medicine in after saying they were sending it over, which I overlooked, and it’s just a terrible service and I would suggest finding a real doctor and not using this app..Version: 3.1.4

Great idea, poor executionBasically I’m quite happy with the service, the doctors are quite professional and answers any questions you have. Except for one time where I was logged in, trying to ask a follow up question and all I got from the doctor was being banned from using the service due to repeating the same question. I made it absolutely clear in the beginning of the conversation that I talked to one of their doctors before and I just wanted to ask one more question regarding the problem I was having! The most annoying thing is that I wasn’t even being notified that I was banned! I only found that out when I couldn’t send any messages to the doctor I was connected to and I couldn’t reconnect to another available doctor! I don’t appreciate this sort of attitude at all since as a patient I was only trying to understand more about the problem I was having and ask something which I forgot to ask in the previous conversation! Please fix this! ***Update*** I was advised to send an email to their support centre to lift the ban from using the service, but it has now been 5 working days and I still haven’t received any reply from them yet. I paid for a monthly subscription so at this rate I’ll be loosing a whole moth of subscription fee to them! Total rip off!.Version: 2.3.2

Doctor lied about follow upI was originally planning on making this a 5-star review, unfortunately I am here forced to produce a 1-star review. I had used the free trial they offer to consult with a doctor when I had been sick for awhile and couldn’t get ahold of my primary physician for another couple days. I spoke with Dr. Ashia Maheen about some gastrointestinal issues I was experiencing at the time and she offered the same advice that the internet provided (what else could she really do to be honest). She wanted to schedule a follow-up with me a few days later, however I explained that I would no longer have access to my trial at that time. She assured me that she would start the chat for the follow-up appointment. I was satisfied with our conversation and happy to hear she was willing to have a follow up with me without making me pay. She suggested I produce a 5-star review for her service which I would have been willing to do if the follow up had happened. When it came time for my follow up appointment I never received a message from her. I feel like I was played to give the app a 5-star review by being promised an appointment that was never going to happen..Version: 2.8.5

MisleadingDespite what it says the app is not free. You sign up and then it tells you that it prioritised subscribed patients. I was fine with not being prioritised but it doesn’t let you continue if you’re not subscribed. You then have to pay quite a bit a month to use the chat feature. The only redeeming this is there’s a 3 day free trial period option. Once I started talking to my doctor I felt as if she wasn’t actually English speaking as the messages weren’t completely coherent. I did get some advice but felt like I was being a punish asking for more advice..Version: 2.5.7.1

Honestly I’m not sureIt seems like it could be helpful with help 24/7. But the doctors don’t seem to know much. They have given me some questionable advice and some of the things they say could end up being harmful towards some people. I would get an actual doctors opinion! Better safe than sorry.Version: 2.8.6

Don’t botherApp looks great but there was no one there to talk to. Also it’s not free it’s $15 per month..Version: 2.3.7

MehI appreciate the app itself in regards to it’s set-up, but I’ve yet to have a GOOD experience when speaking with one of their 24-hour doctors. Yes, they try their best to answer your questions, but it’s as if I’m talking to a robot. The way they talk is extremely scripted and they don’t answer my questions to the fullest extent as a result of it. It’s as if they’re getting their information off of WebMD, copying it word for word, and then send me on my way without going into depth. Twice now I have received inaccurate information regarding a medication from them for this exact reason. Not to mention that the app is refusing to let me cancel my subscription before my 1-day free trial is up and I’m now going to be charged as of tomorrow because of it. I’ve contacted customer support so hopefully they come back with something..Version: 3.0.91

Quack Medicine at its FinestDo NOT use unless you’d like a rude doctor who doesn’t listen to what you have to say. If I had followed the “doctor’s” advice, I could be dead right now. Downloaded this app as I had been having stomach issues for well over a week, to include pain near my belly button and lower abdomen. I was hesitant to try to schedule an appointment with my regular doctor due to the current pandemic. The doctor that I chatted with insisted that I had a case of the stomach flu. Did not bother to read that I had been experiencing the issues for over a week, which is beyond the duration of a stomach flu. I ended the chat when I realized that she was too dense to actually listen to what I was saying. I emailed my real doctor to see if I should come in or wait it out. He called me immediately and told me to go to the ER ASAP. Turns out that I had appendicitis and that my appendix was ready to rupture. I was prepped for emergency surgery and had the appendix removed. If I had listened to the “doctor” on this app, my appendix would have ruptured and I could have died..Version: 2.5.9

Free trialI tried the three days free trial, and cancelled my account on day three but still got charged. I have tried getting in touch with someone to talk about this but that service is no long available..Version: 2.8.4

They said it was 20 dollars and charged me 240Like I feel ripped off I only got it bc I needed a doctor note and they wouldn’t even give me one I am so frustrated like 240. Could I at least get a refund or something I want to cancel this subscription or whatever it is..Version: 3.2.1

Love it but disappointedI love this app so much I had favorite doctors on here I used it back in February when I had a sickness and it used to be for free and I could have get in touch with the most accurate professional doctors and now I just downloaded it in case if I needed to ask anything concerning my health and didn’t know the app fully changed and now I have to pay to just get access to a doctor you guys changed a lot I’m sorry but I love this app until the new changes started to happen I really wish it was free and it’s for 17 and up... no 17 year old would pay for your service to just ask a question it is ridiculous..Version: 2.3.7

Misleading money grabThe app certainly sounds amazing and sets itself up as something that is linked to Ontario doctors, so I imagined that it was part of our healthcare. No. It wasn’t until after I filled everything out and wrote out my entire issue did I find out that the only way to actually consult with someone is to pay a SUBSCRIPTION fee, not a one time fee, no, $20 every month subscription fee. It startles me that the government would allow their doctors to have a side gig with an app so I’m now also sceptical as to the actual credentials of the “doctors” associated with it. Are these the doctors that graduated with a 51% and couldn’t get jobs anywhere else?.Version: 3.2.1

Typo-filled chats. Do NOT bother. While these doctors are in fact real people (I'm 93% sure), they are not remotely the best people you want to go to with your problems. This app in general is just really sketchy. There are so many more legitimate online doctor services out there. Don't waste your time and money with this. For one, the app is poorly designed. Its stock photos are all warped, there's a range of fonts used, text often overlaps with other text, there are very little settings or options, and there's no way to delete your account. For another, the doctor sounded rather robotic-y, gave only basic advice, and used many many punctuation, grammar, and spelling errors, which is just not professional. Just find a better option than this app. I was a bit clueless and hadn't done my research before downloading this..Version: 2.8.6

Scam app. Positive reviews you see for this app were paid for by people who never used the appThis app is a scam. I used this app based on some fake reviews I read here in the App Store and online and the fact that I have used a real online doctor app before. Now, as for the SCAM? First…You’ll notice when you speak to a “doctor” that they literally just give you a copy and paste of what your problems could be from WebMD’s website. After that, they’ll say they’ll give you a prescription for your needs. Mine happened to be $19. They asked for which pharmacy I’d like to receive my meds at, and proof (picture) of my ID. Then, they’ll send a link (this link will have no actual proof of anything just a link for standard payment) once paid, I didn’t receive any follow up about my meds. I waited 24hrs and went to cvs to get it and nothing was there. I contacted a doctor via the app again, and they said I should receive an email when it’s been sent to the pharmacy. After 3 days of back and fourth with CVS (mind you, the free trial is 3 days) it was confirmed that no prescription was sent. Nor was one on the way. They also confirmed that doctors nor hospitals can verify when you’re prescription is ready for pick up. Only the actual pharmacy can do that. In short? Save your time, headache, and overall money. I’d give zero stars if I could..Version: 2.8.5

DisappointedI’m struggling with serious health issues and after financial trouble from it all I thought I could get some free professional advice about what I’m going through and being dismissed by other doctors but no luck as it said I needed to pay $50 a month and I’ve already spent so much money to get an answer and I still have none. I was just hoping to get a bit of advice. Another let down..Version: 2.8.5

Absolute rubbish don’t botherDon’t even bother - you’ll never get your prescription. I’ve been chasing for 2 days and no one replies. Paid $19 for nothing. A total scam..Version: 3.1.0

Not freeIt is no longer a free app and I have to sign up or pay for a pass. Really disappointed as I enjoyed being able to contact them when I had any queries.Version: 2.3.7

Not even real doctorsGot the free 3 day trial, they charged me for it right away. Not even real doctors on here..Version: 2.6.2

No prescription still after 72 hoursThe app seemed great. We chatted with a doctor who said they would write a prescription for us and we were given information about what was prescribed. We paid $19 and were told we would have the prescription within 12-24 hours. After 24 hours I contacted the help email to ask when we would receive it. I have still not had a response or a prescription. I would recommend this app if you require a prescription for medication..Version: 3.0.7

SubscriptionDO NOT subscribe to this! I started a 1 day free trial and you have to cancel it through a form so god knows how long that will take! So when I get charged tomorrow they will have fun because I’m broke😂 make sure people can cancel immediately if you want them to use your service.Version: 3.0.94

UnbelievableI made an account on Oct 2 and they charged me $32 and I spoke to 2 doctors they were nice and quick. But after 2 days the app just wont speak to a doctor. It says I need to buy subscription, even though I already did. They charged me, & I loved there service but all of a sudden the next day I had to follow up with a doctor and when I tried joining her chat it would tell me to pay first, which I already did. Either I want my money back, or re activate my subscription for this month so I can speak to doctors. I have emergency going in my house everyday, I can't leave the house this was very helpful Idk why they would do that. I want my subscription reinstated for a month for the payment I have done, I can provide screenshots and payment verification if the team contacts, but the worse part is they don't have any customer service or any email of phone# for that case so I can contact. they are just invisible..Version: 2.8.5

FRAUDTLDR: it is probably fake and they will charge you hundreds that you don’t agree to!! First of all, I very clearly signed up for a $20/month plan, it stated it was a monthly plan. I remember seeing an annual plan and NOT selecting it!!! I tried this because I needed to get a doctors note for work and didn’t want to take the time to go in to my local doctor. Well I had the appointment but the note was not the right format, and it even had spelling/grammar errors that made me question if this is even legitimate. I tried to turn it into work anyways and they denied it, I asked for a different note and the “doctor” says no, so I had to spend more time and money seeing my local doctor but got my note easily. I then decided to try to ask for a refund to get my $20 back, well afyer days they respond and say they will graciously give me a partial refund of $120…what??? Turns out they charged me $240, not $20!!!! I NEVER signed up for that, I wouldn’t have done that!!! It’s insane. I emailed them back and am waiting to hear but their response time is slow. If they don’t respond I will reach out to my credit card company about the charge. Please avoid this company at all costs.Version: 3.2.0

Dr TraceyI spoke to Dr Tracey and she was just pure rude and horrible to speak to, she told me I had something and to get this medication for it and when I went to talk to a face to face doctor and found out she had came up with the most inaccurate ‘advice’ Dr Tracey shouldn’t even be aloud to be a doctor. On the other hand I spoke to another lady on there to see if she’d be any better and she was lovely to speak to and showed me their options..Version: 2.3.3

ScamHad a ear infection so I downloaded the app for a consultation, the so called “physician assistant” Mary Read promised to send me a prescription within 4-6 hours. Payment of $240 was charged immediately. Yet 12 hours has passed, no update whatsoever. The “get help” page does not work (nothing is displayed when you click on it). The credit card details could not be removed. I’m not sure where to get help. There is no one I can contact regarding it and nothing was provided. This is a scam..Version: 3.2.0

Endless loop preventing sign inI made it the second and final step where you input your first and last name, DOB and mobile number. I did that and got an automated SMS saying I’d successfully registered. Returned to the app to sign in and had to repeat the process which resulted in an error pop-up saying my email was already registered. Exit the app, try again… same result. Got absolutely nowhere. I’ve deleted the app, waste of time..Version: 3.0.7

Possibly real doctors, but the shadiest business practices I’ve ever seenThey make it VERY hidden and easy to miss that you’re paying for a yearly service. It says “monthly cost” and it’s very hidden that it’s charged yearly. I was sick when I subscribed and completely missed that it was yearly - you won’t find the yearly price on their website at all, and “monthly” is all over everything. I have never subscribed for anything for a whole year at once. Plus they bury in their terms and conditions that it’s non-refundable, even though it’s never been before from these reviews. It is an absolute scam to charge someone for a year when they don’t know they’re paying for a year, especially a very sick person. I would not recommend this service to anyone. It is also the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered: the doctors, again, might be real, but the customer service is soulless and writing the same thing from a script. Buyer beware!! This is a complete scam!!.Version: 3.1.8

DO NOT USE THIS APPI used the app because I am really sick with idk what still and my doctor couldn’t get me in so i download this app and added my card and it said the fee was $20 they took $60 from me and then when I tried to take my card off it said I had to pay for my subscription first even though I just paid $60 so I talked to a doctor he/she did not tell me what I had just told me they sent a prescription for me so I waited a few hours then called and my pharmacy said there was nothing for me so I tried to contact customer support and it said it took 24hrs well after the 24hrs I called my pharmacy and they still had nothing so I tried to talk to a doctor and still got nothing this app is a scam and not worth the money PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD..Version: 3.0.94

BadBad.Version: 2.8.5

Scam !!!! Stay away!Scammed me for $240 never used the website they gave me false medication that wouldn’t solve the issue. Act of fraud. call your credit card company to dispute the charges. This is ridiculous. Do not use this page. Had my finger nearly chopped off, and they could not accommodate the correct medication.Version: 3.2.1

Commercial medicine. NOT FREESo i have a consultation to make, i can't go see a doctor because i just arrived back home from abroad and there is a strict quarantine law. Their site "It's free". I just need to quickly assess this matter to know which course of action to take, but seeing as it may be a botfly larva it's not urgent. But damn, i was surprised, they want permanent access to my location, all the health data from my iphone, and guess the best part, won't take my request unless i pay "because of the coronavirus issue". Now one thing is to prioritize paying customers, now i get that. But to lie about there being a free consultation at all just to get my info is really "poopy". Not only that, i wrote my gender as male so they say "as soon as you pay we'll get a female doctor to attend you". Like i don't care at all if it's a female doctor or not as long as they can say "Ah yeah, that's a botfly larvae's hole•" So the result, don't waste your time thinking they would do anything good for people during the global crisis, they're just trying to milk the situation for more. What an insult to medicine..Version: 2.5.7

Waste of timeI went through the entire process to use the “1 day free trial” - after that it would be $6 a week. That being said- my doctor was very short. Almost robotic type responses. Zero emotion. Very short with me. When it came to getting my medication he said there was a $19 fee for medication. When I asked him “ so how does that work? Is it a one time thing? Or do I need to just pay at pickup or online or what? “ He told me I’d pay at the pharmacy. I said okay awesome I can do that. Then he sent me some info to fill out, and told me there would be that $19 charge I’d have to submit via a link- before my prescription will be sent to the pharmacy. So now I’m like wait? I though I’d just pay at the pharmacy? Cuz that’s what he said when I asked. Soooo now I have to pay $19 fee before hand, and the medication fee at the pharmacy? Plus a subscription fee? And per medication? #1 he didn’t explain the $19 well at all when I asked. He gave a short response of “ you pay at the pharmacy “ #2 the app or website doesn’t advertise that $19 charge well at all. #3 to have to submit a payment over a link, and have to submit it before even getting your Medication is a red flag..Version: 3.0.8

You have to pay...Any review saying it’s free is either fake or outdated. As soon as you make an account and put in what your trouble is related to, it takes you to a page where you choose what subscription you want and how which it will cost. Unethical and horrid way to target people who actually need help by advertising it is a free service which it is not..Version: 2.4.6

Pay for playThere is no option to book an appointment free of charge covered by BC MSP. You MUST sign up for a quarterly (billed at $25 per month) or annual (billed at $20 per month) service plan. You only find this out once you’ve provided all your personal information. Disgusting..Version: 3.2.1

Cannot write scripts for basic women’s healthStill have to go to the GP to have an embarrassing conversation with a man. So much for supporting women through health concerns..Version: 2.3.8

Reliable? Of course not. Go see a doctor.I was freaking out about my symptoms after doing some research late at night and couldn’t get any sleep so I wanted to talk to some doctors for a peace of mind. First, some of them respond late and when you’re a little late in responding they just end the chat. I consulted with multiple doctors because I wanted reassurance but each doctor just read through my chat history with the other doctors and replied they “agree with their colleagues” which feels a little biased and lazy. But essentially, they all said it’s not what I think and I just need to take a few steps to make my e go away. The next day, I finally went to the hospital and the doctor told me it is exactly what I thought it was. So no, not reliable. Might offer you a little peace of mind temporarily but this could be dangerous in its own way..Version: 3.0.3

This app is a scamAside from the horrible medical advice given by the “nurses” on this app, they are also thieves. I accidentally purchased a 3 month subscription. I wrote the company right away to let them know I did not mean to purchase a 3 month subscription and asked for a refund. They refused so I compromised saying I wouldn’t mind paying for 1 month as I would use the service but more than that I didn’t need it. I was still denied so I called my card company and received the money back….so I thought. In their clauses it says absolutely no refunds so my card company could not help me and took back the temporary refund I was awarded. When I contacted the company again they told me I could not be helped nor could a refund case be open again since 30 days had passed since the purchase even though they had just spoke to my bank the day before. This company is a mess. Please try to avoid them..Version: 3.1.6
