✓ Each little update gets us closer to full fat photoshopSo we have to be realistic this still isn’t the photoshop experience a seasoned desktop user is used to. But don’t write it off straight away. If you are willing to try out some workaround workflows I think you will be surprised at what is possible now on the iPad. I think the update that everyone is waiting for is the ability to have more adjustment layer options. Which thankfully Adobe have said, isn’t too far off. But in the meantime, you can always work around these options by using the light room for your colour edits. And Photoshop, for your detailed retouches of selections. Although to be honest give it another year, I think we might be on the verge of a more fully featured photoshop app. Fingers crossed and shout out to the Adobe app developers, for always listening and prioritising new features, creatives crave. While ensuring they are fine tuned for an iPad experience..Version: 4.3
✓ It’s really good! And improving with every update!Honestly, I’m genuinely surprised by how well this works on the iPad. Adobe have done a great job with this, and it’s improving with every update. I don’t really understand how so many people are upset with the app. If you’re an Adobe power user you’ll see the appeal. Being able to edit layered files on the go, which then sync back to PS on the desktop is such a god send. I’m hoping that layer styles will be added soon, and in reality I’d only give the app 4stars at the moment, but I really want it to succeed and I’m sure it will, so I’ve future proofed my rating to 5 stars, lol. I’m a full time graphic designer working on publishing projects and am able to design 85% of my book cover commissions on the iPad now. ✗ Needs to be updatedReally the only good thing about this is the brushes, but other than that the way it’s set up makes everything take much much longer to do than it should. terribly needs: a clear layer button a magic wand refer to multiple layers option esp for the paint bucket the ability to edit brushes press and hold to color drop color slider quicker back/forward reaction time needs to be easier to turn the canvas a flip horizontal button +windows such as: one to have a reference sheet open, the color pallet open, the small view of your canvas, etc a smudge tool the ability to add a layer with 1 click instead of 2 the buttons take too long to show up it’s annoying the ability to customize your workspace to only have your pen make brush strokes, whenever you move the canvas your fingers make marks all over your drawing that you sometimes don’t notice till later which is TERRIBLE OH MY GOD why aren’t the layers and layer properties together?? have them both open when u open the layers THE FREAKN ITS SO DIFFICULT TO CHANGE THE COLOR IT KOVES SO WEIRD??
