✓ It was decent...So, just downloaded this out of pure boredom and actually got sucked in. It is a fun game; however, it does not take long to complete the entire game (both regular and gold spatulas). After finding all of the gold spatulas, the game is done. No real resolution, you can just replay again if you’d like. With that said, I know this is a new game, so I look forward to seeing if it is expanded upon and more levels and characters are added. Was a good game experience overall for what it is, and recommend checking it out..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Awful Rayman ripoffThis game is similar to Rayman in multiple ways, from the ability to glide, punching while running to give yourself a boost, and many other small things, such as even the fact that enemies puff up and pop when they are attacked. I will give it credit, though - it includes a brand new SpongeBob story and adds some stuff to the Rayman formula. But the fact this was even allowed on AA is baffling, considering the high quality of the other games on here, such as Sonic Racing, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Super Impossible Road and Sneaky Sasquatch, for example. Apple clearly knows that Rayman exists since they have given excellent reviews for Rayman Adventure (or was it Rayman Adventures? Idk) and have even let a Rayman game on Apple Arcade. Anyways, I highly recommend playing either Rayman Legends, Adventure(s) and/or Mini, the latter two with a compatible controller, as they turn into what is basically one of the console games if you use one), as they are wonderful games brimming with personality, great art, and some of the best platforming I have ever seen..Version: 1.1
✓ GlitchesThe game’s story and plot is excellent and the controls are ok, but it has many glitches and bugs. The second level glitches once you become the spring sponge bob. It causes you to tap once and you jump, but after that you can’t jump, dive, or attack. I know this game was just released and that all newly released games have many glitches, so I gave it three stars because the game is great, but it has many glitches and bugs, so once the game is fixed I can write a more accurate review with a better opinion about this game..Version: 1.0

✓ Loved it… but what now?Absolutely loved this game, played it every spare moment I had. Here’s my issue with this game… I’ve completed it, collecting everything, every coin, normal and golden spatula, character, and all the map pieces… but what now? Apparently I still have achievements that haven’t been unlocked, I go back to the game and there’s nothing left to do or collect 🤷🏻♀️ and I’m not able to reset the game, I tried deleting the game then reinstalling it, doesn’t work. ✓ Better than most, but needs an endThis game is honestly quite fun, and I don’t usually enjoy platform games on mobile. The level design is creative and each world has its own special features that you need to use to beat the levels. That being said as many other reviews state this game needs a proper ending. Getting to collect all the golden spatulas was a lovely surprise, but there aren’t any new characters you need to use, or any new mechanics, just the same levels with the coins in slightly harder to reach locations. Even a few new side characters or a secret ending for collecting all the spatulas could really improve this game immensely..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Major Unaddressed FlawsAfter replaying many levels multiple times and with all the different characters, I realize the game is impossible to make progress in after a certain point. Coins, spatulas and short pants shown as not yet discovered simply aren’t there. I feel these are bugs that occurred in updates to the game since older online videos show these objects as discoverable. The developers seem to respond to similar complaints with a stock answer requesting we contact them. There is no need to do so. What’s needed is for the bugs that halt progress deeply into the game to be acknowledged and fixed..Version: 3.3.0

✓ Great game but…..I have been playing this game for quite a while. I enjoy the new levels that have been made available. However, there seems to be a glitch in the game during the Tales of the Deep….for some reason the third part in The secret Life of Gary, will not load on my phone. I have an Iphone 14 with a large memory, so there should be no issues. The daily Chummy Challenge still loads just fine. Would be wonderful if this could be addressed. ✓ The controls are very flakeyI have been trying to get past the Dirty Bubble level for like 2 days. The controls for jumping only work half the time and I end up falling into urchins or hitting an enemy after I’ve tapped the screen to jump because it doesn’t respond to my tap. ✓ Just my opinionI usually don’t post reviews, but this game is so detailed with the story line and the voices and the background stuff. It has so much potential, I pray the bugs are fixed. It’s very glitchy and lags at least a second so when you tap to jump, it doesn’t jump on time. But I really really really would like to play this game if the bugs are ever fixed. ✓ No direction?So far was so good....My daughter completed all levels and collected all coins etc. The aim appeared to be to retrieve the secret formula, which hasn’t happened. She has now unlocked “Golden Spatulas” to be collected from each level she has already completed. ✓ Controls Make Game UnplayableNo, I do not want to skip to the next checkpoint. I want the game to register my taps! Instead I have to play sections over and over again just because the game ignores my input. Meanwhile this stupid popover blocks the screen if you are moving left (yes, I know I can dismiss it; I’m sick of having to dismiss it). The game was never this bad previously. I had a lot of fun finishing it before and was pleased to discover new levels had been added. Yet I can’t finish levels when the game is ignoring my taps. ✓ Tap to jump not working so frustrating!!!!Potential to such a good game but super frustrating as the tap to jump has so many glitches and doesn’t work and makes me die like 80% of the time, that is basically the main reason for my deaths. Others complain of the same and they’ve done nothing about it. This game shouldn’t be in the Apple Arcade with so many glitches. Right now having such a hard time killing grandma plankton with the boat because of this. ✓ Crashes, crashes, crashesThe game crashes very often on my iPad and every single time I play the level “A Mariage of Mischief”, preventing me from unlocking Plankton. Otherwise enjoyable, especially if you play with a controller. Update: I was able to unlock Plankton by playing the level on my iPhone SE. ✓ Great game until it crashes.Everything works great until I beat Karen. Once I beat it and get to the load screen the game just crashes. It shows in the achievements in the Apple Arcade store that plankton is now available but he is not available in the game. This means I cannot complete any more of the game because plankton is needed to go back to previous levels to get remaining spatulas and coins. I am on an apple iPad Air 3 and have a lot of available space. This needs to be fixed to get a better rating. I just feel it was a waste of time getting to this point in the game to only be shut out of future achievements. This game is one I’ve wanted to try for awhile but couldn’t justify paying for Apple Arcade just for this game. The game and play is amazing. Everything I hoped it would be. There is, however, an annoying glitch that makes the app crash right after I finished a level. It seems to be pretty random, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. But it usually happens at least 1-3 times every time I play the game—it’s not just a one time thing. I was just disappointed because I would hope if someone would potentially pay to play this game, that it wouldn’t crash and make me reopen the app to keep playing it..Version: 3.3.0

✓ Nice but with bad controlsThe game is nice. Good quality graphics, music, etc. The big big problem are the controls! I think auto running makes it lose credibility. Why don’t just add a virtual D pad and allow the user to run “manually”? If you gave the manual running option I would be very happy. As an example of well designed controls I can mention Skyfish 2 here in Arcade. They got it perfectly right. Would like to see something similar here and would love to play it. ✓ “F.U.N. Sized”The game is overall really good and I thought it was perfect for both kids and adults. However, the new fun sized mini games are way too difficult in my opinion. As someone who has played many games and beat this whole game otherwise, the mini games were super hard for me. On some of the levels, the time limit was almost impossible to be. I did beat all the levels with at least 2 stars, and 3 on about 4 of them. There’s just no way 3 stars in possible on some of them given the point system. ✓ Good idea but bad deliveryThe idea of a Spongebob platform game is good, but the game feels unfinished and a bad attempt to replicate Rayman’s game quality. Like other reviews, the controls are behaving weird and do not seem to be addressed by the developers. The sounds are always the same when the characters jump or smash down making the game repetitive. On the videos the lips just move for the sake of moving and are not aligned with the text. You make 1 mistake and you have to restart or start from the checkpoint. It’s just a lot of small details that just make the game unfinished. This is a let down for the fans and whoever is leading this at Nickelodeon shouldn’t be proud...Version: 2.0

You never know exactly which character is needed until you play the level (sometimes the character hasn’t even been unlocked also). Which means you will have to play the level all the way through more times then one to collect all of the coins/spatulas.
