I Feel Like An Electric Tiger...Whatever that means, um, basically this app is extremely awesome and beautiful. I would love to be able to export, maybe more instrument slots, and instruments. But it's already really cool so that would just make it off the charts. I also see that an update is coming soon which I'm pumped for, let's see!!! Thanks FINGERLAB. Shout out to the UI Designers. And on second thought, this app makes me feel like I'm on a Weyland-Yutani ship making beats with Ripley. This app is going to add that extra umph to my creative teams lives. We love new toys\tools..Version: 1.0.1

Much improved with MIDI. But....Who is it for?Ok, ok... I’m starting to like this app now. It’s power comes from its simplicity. Speaking of star rating - I think it only makes sense to give rating that are not absolute because how do you compare this app to much more complex, bigger, more advanced and perhaps more suited for professionals apps? I’m rating it as a simple, approachable app. It does have tons of limitations and you probably won’t create your new album in but as a simple musical tool it is pretty good. Much improved version with full MIDI implementation. Great MIDI options with very easy and intuitive MIDI mapping. I love that sub divided steps are represented by unique MIDI notes. Now DM1 needs this feature! Nice interface, clean and well laid out. Super straight forward and intuitive to use. I appreciate small things such as ability to set the metronome volume or no nonsense mixer and effects panels. Some negatives remain: Ability to go “off the grid” in terms of quantization is needed. Nothing kills the vibe more than being restricted to 16 steps. Gotta swing! No polyphony for Bass and Lead tracks. It would be so great if polyphony was somehow possible. Maybe via multiple layers per lead and bass tracks? There’s still a bug where some notes sometimes are ignored completely depending on specific BPM. Weird. Why would anybody use that instead of DM1? I have a difficulty figuring out who this app is really for. It does not have enough capabilities to be used by a serious musician and is perhaps too minimalistic and dry to inspire an enthusiast. Maybe it’s for kids? As such, it could be pretty good as it is very intuitive and does not have flashy things which are a distraction to kids..Version: 2.0

Strength in simplicityThe beauty of this app is its simplicity. Working with a limited pallet means the focus is on creativity..Version: 2.0.1

I reckon it’s worth it :)Like another reviewer I only saw / remembered this when I bought Flynth earlier (note to dev, please don’t make any more apps that make me sound like I have a terrible speech impediment), and I’m glad I gave it a whirl. I found myself quickly wishing I had more control over the synths and maybe some of the drumkits in DM1, but then I just as quickly realised that this isn’t really its purpose. If you’re just looking for a backbeat to get some ideas going this is really quick and easy. Only seems to have MIDI out on the iaa version atm, which is a bit of a disappointment, but I’ll keep the five stars up in case it gets added because although it’s not exactly Drambo, it has its own niche, does its own thing and does it well..Version: 2.0.1

Practical and intuitiveJust tried it and love it! Hope you make a 32 track version with eq per track, with built in sampler, etc. Being AUv3 makes all the difference..Version: 1.0.1

Fun auv3 sketch padI’ve been having fun so far with the app. A few suggestions 1. I could not submit a help desk ticket to you the email link I found on your page did not work 2. Can you increase the window size for auv3 mode, on iPad Pro 2018 when in AUM I’m unable to get it to stretch full screen. 3. Request if you can take advantage of the new auv3 multi output that just came out and if you can add user samples if possible- would make some great additional selling points. Overall fun and interesting results are to be had so far thanks 😊.Version: 1.0.1

Great Little Groovebox!I didn’t bother with this app for a long time. I’m fairly serious about making music with the iPad and thought this was a silly, cheap toy. I took another look at it today (when I downloaded Fingerlab’s new synth, Flynth), and thought “for £3.99, I might as well get it”; and I’m really glad I did. It’s a neat little groovebox with enough features to make a track or two. There are a lot of features missing with this, but no showstoppers. In fact, the minimalist nature of the app forces you to focus on the joy of making music rather than being consumed by the serious technical process. This is a fun groovebox that will surprise you and bring back the fun of music making. For the price of a coffee and a bun, it’s a bargain..Version: 2.0.1

Quick easy tracksEasy to use. Very simple, quick and fun. A bass drum, a snare, a hi hat and perc sound, a bass line and a lead line. The sounds are all useable. 2 bar patterns can be quickly copied and chained. The lead section plays chords but can only record monophonically. Hopefully fingerlab can change this on an update. The main thing is that its really very simply and fun. It’s never going to be Korg Gadget but the interface is so nice I think Fingerlab should develop this to allow 4 bar patterns and add another lead track and two more drum parts.Version: 1.0.1
