But then, we took a picture of our two dogs because we just wanted to mess around a little. It said the first dog was a dog, then it said the second dog was a green-cheeked parakeet. (WHAT?!) at first we thought it was just because we took a picture of the dog sleeping. We took another one and it said dog. It was probably because the dog had a little turtle toy in the background. We wanted to take a picture of the toy and we did, but it said it was a parrot. But the reason I gave this a three star review is because I use it for taking pictures of my family and friends. Why? ✓ Not worth paying for. Beta version?It keeps identifying me as a primate; which of course is correct. However I corrected the identification to Homo sapiens. I’ve done it four times now and it still hasn’t learned. It also identified a ribbon snake in Florida as a garter snake that occurs in the Midwest. The app obviously needs to use the GPS ability of my iPhone or iPad to determine my location before identifying the animal. It’s right 80% of the time but I won’t spend any money the premium version until they fix the bugs. In contrast their plant identification app is awesome..Lucania!Version: 1.1.1

It also tends to glitch with the fact that when you take a picture of an animal and it correctly identifies it, then you take another picture of an animal, the app will say the next animal is the same as the animal you first took a picture of.
