Plantum - AI Plant Identifier for Negative User Reviews

Won’t openTried free trial. Loved it. App asked me to sign in. I tried - app shut off and now won’t open. Tried to reach out for assistance- apple store won’t let me. Was actually going to make a purchase, I liked it so much..Version: 5.21

Hidden Fees Even With Premium SubscriptionFirst off, this has been a great app to keep track of my plants progress and become acclimated to watering and fertilizing schedules. That being said, I could do this on my own and not pay the $10/mo because that’s really all you’re getting. Is a plant note taker. Most of the “plant care” advise can be found using a simple Google search. Also, I find that there are many plant species that are not included in the “identifier.” Leaving me with a “Your Plant” snap with no further information. Most frustrating of all, is the feature that allows you to communicate with a “plant bot” for EXPERT analysis of an issue. Although I have the premium subscription, it requires another $10 (PER SESSION) to begin a chat… with a bot… 🤯 This was the last straw for me. I will be saving my money and utilizing an app that doesn’t overcharge for what is actually offered and doesn’t try to gauge me when trying use the features that supposedly are included with a premium subscription. Waste of money and time..Version: 5.7

Lousy identifier (for me)Just installed this app’s free trial to ID a plant. Tried three times, wrong all three times. Cancelling right now..Version: 6.0

Billing issuesI agree with the person who wrote about billing issues However I wanted to download this app but no where could I find the cost! So presumed after signing up I would be billed, so unfortunatly however you look at this it is under hand which is why people call it a scam, nothing to do with boomers!.Version: 6.0

DOESN’T WORKJUST A SCAM! $105 after a 3 day trial? You’re kidding right? Some apps are just designed to take your $’s. This I one of them. If it was so great, surely a large number of subscribers at a low price would be the way to go? It’s a scam..Version: 2.5

Seems like a huge gamble.I tried it out with my Vizsla. App thought she was a mushroom. I clicked that, no, she is actually a dog. It gave a list of common breeds, all that I can recognize easily without an app (seriously: poodle, French bulldog, husky level of common breeds), but none of which was a Vizsla. I thought I’d give one more chance by putting in a variety of photos, but after going to the trouble of uploading, it didn’t allow me to even see the results without agreeing to the trial period after which I need to go into Apple settings to cancel or be charged for an app that can’t even tell a dog from a fungi. No thank you. Probably should give a bit more risk free of a trial if they want me to bother with cancellation..Version: 1.10

RidiculousUseless at correctly identifying plant. When I went to the option of asking for a refund I submitted my reasoning with photos and immediately had an automatic reply back saying that they can’t issue refunds and I have to go a different route for that..Version: 5.18

Not goodEvery time I checked it gave me a different plant all of which were wrong..Version: 6.1

Was working great until I purchased subscriptionI was using the free version of this app for months and enjoying it a lot. I liked it so much I wanted to upgrade to the paid version to support the app + its creators. First off, I noticed no major changes to subscribing for $20. Secondly, my app now crashes all the time, they took away the plant care reminders which were the only useful thing in this app. There used to be a way to snooze plant care reminders when the plant didn’t need them- now it just sends 30 push notifications a day. This app is a waste and I am downloading other plant care apps. Wish I didn’t waste my $$ in an attempt to support this useless app.Version: 5.7

DO NOT WATSE YOUR MONEYWASTE OF MONEY- app does not properly identify ANYTHING. Apparently all my different species are ALL THE SAME, some of my plants died when the app told me they were fine. I don’t understand how a Christmas cactus plant is the same as a lily and the same as lavender, I have many many different plants and this app says they’re all the same. I got the app bc some of these plants where passed down and they really meant a lot and they died. App is inaccurate and a total waste of my money. I stopped using it once I realized that the app identified all my plants as the same species. Honestly do not spend your money on this app. It’s technology is just not there..Version: 6.1

Unhappy clientI am very unhappy with this app. First I took two pictures of two different plants, one a hosta and the other unknown but the app incorrectly identified the hosta as a Canna Lily and the second one said it was a thorny vine native to somewhere in Europe. Well I live on Vancouver Island, BC Canada so I don’t think that one is correct either. But further while I was trying to figure out how to use the app I clicked on what I thought was a free trial and it responded by thanking me for my purchase. I don’t even know how much I was charged and there is no place I can find to cancel this app. Very disappointing. Advise other users to be very careful. I do not consider this an honourable app..Version: 1.1

Not for casual , either you suscribe yearly or bendoverI was about to try it for a month but realized it was 8,99$/week. This looks like a predatory design I don’t like it, no thanks.Version: 5.31

Does not workGot this app to find out what one specific species of shrub/plant was in my yard. Took multiple photos and ran it through this app. Not once was it right. Ended up having to get a horticulturalist out to actually identify the plant/species. Would highly recommend not bothering with this app. The horticulturalist was at my house for less then 20 minutes. Identified more than just the one I was worried about being a pest. And charged me less than the apps price for the yearly subscription. From my point of view I recommend everyone to completely disregard this app..Version: 5.33

Not worth the moneyI found this to be a waste of money. It’s only correctly identified plants in my garden about half the time. This is despite trying a number of photos of leaves, entire plant, flowers, buds etc. It’s a frustrating experience and I feel not worth the money..Version: 5.5

Pay or cannot useThey don’t even give you a couple days or # of tries before you need to sub or pay monthly..Version: 6.1

Expensive and poor user experienceExpensive and poor user experience. Not worth the high price..Version: 5.41

WeirdWanted to identify one plant and it showed a picture that looked like it could be the plant. When I click learn more it gave me a bunch of weird definitions for the name? Like ‘there is a river with this name’, ‘there is a prophet with this name’, ‘there is a village with this name’, ‘there is a character in winx club with this name’.. like who cares? I wanted to know about the plant not the name. Not sure why someone would pay for this app. When I searched for a plant identification app this one popped up and it seemed like it also included a care guide but it didn’t give me any such information. How do cat and dog breeds have anything to do with plants as well? Weird. Deleting the app. So glad I didn’t get swindled out of money like some other reviewers..Version: 1.12

A scamI simply wanted to check out how the app worked. Every plant I checked, the app gave the same generic response as to the issue. Rubbish insight - it didn’t tell you what the issue was or how to remove and a month later I was charged the full year fee without any notice. Had the app provided any useful insight I would have been less bothered by the exceptionally high fee … but it didn’t. DO NOT download this app..Version: 5.26

Doesn’t diagnose treesHello! I thought your app was quite clever, however the diagnosing was VERY unimpressive. The questions didn’t pertain to my tree at all - which is planted outdoors, in the ground, not misted… just a crabapple tree in our pasture. It asked what kind of pot, when did I mist it, how much sunlight- by a window or indirect light? I just answered over and over, “it’s a tree, in the ground, full sunlight”. I’m pretty sure it’s aphids, I said that word too - I was just wanting to confirm it - but the “auto” chat software kept asking potted plant questions. The LAST question was “do you see any bugs, active or inactive?” I would suggest the app should reply to the word aphid or bug with bug questions? Or possibly recognize bugs on a stem from the get go? My other helpful tip is to either prominently display NO TREES, (bc NATUREID indicates ALL of nature… not just house plants…) or quickly adapt your diagnosing software to have better detection for the word “tree”. It looked and felt like a HIGH QUALY app. I was impressed. So I chose to pay the $9.99 as a “test” for future inquiries- bc we have so many plants, flowers and trees on our property… I would have loved to use your app regularly. I figured a clear picture of possible aphids would be an easy test for the app to diagnose? Unfortunately I cannot say it was worth it - and I’m disappointed..Version: 5.17

Please refund it!Hello ! After trying for free, I tried to decide whether to buy it or not, but face recognition made it so easy to buy a year! I canceled it right away. Please give me a refund!.Version: 5.14

Another app which doesn’t show you it costs until you downloadIn the App Store it says GET. Install to find it has an $80+ subscription model or a free trial which auto places you into that sub at the end. Conclusion: deceptive And yes this is not the only app which does it but I’ll call it out whenever I see it as it IS dodgy.Version: 4.7

Not that accurateHave been using for a about a year and find that it’s often clearly wrong. Won’t be renewing..Version: 6.1

UselessUseless app, didnt recognise anything i scanned... allllot of work needed.Version: 3.0

Incorrectly identified my house plant species. Canceled subscription during trial stil chargedI am extremely disappointed with this ‘AI plant identifier app’ and am shocked by the numerous high reviews it has received. Upon downloading the app out of curiosity for identifying my house plants, I found it to be inaccurate in identifying my plant species, leading me to uninstall it within the short timeframe. Despite removing the app, I was still charged for it! The app is a scam, manipulating its download through paid benefits for the short time. I got tricked. The pricing structure is exorbitant and should have been enough of a red flag, with a weekly fee of $7 or a yearly subscription of $40, representing (a staggering 900% markup for short-term users). This pricing strategy is designed to take advantage of unsuspecting users like myself who are lured in by curiosity only to fall into a trap. They must be paying people off for the high-reviews. Do not trust!.Version: 6.2

0 stars. Rubbish. Rip-off!It randomly guesses everything and I took five pics of my cat and it still kept guessing random breeds. Don’t wast your time with this app, it’s not worth it. Also I was using the premium version of the app, don’t get that either as it is a wast of money. The funny thing was that my cat has loads of hair, and still the app thought I’d was a hairless cat!!! Just shows how bad this app is..Version: 1.9

Forces you to subscribe and crushes, almost killed my plantsI’m not a die-hard gardener or plant enthusiast but I have few plants at home and just need an app to remind me when to water. Not a big deal since I can use a simple reminder app to do the same. However lately the app is asking me to subscribe and wouldn’t give me option to forfeit. One day it crushed and didn’t open. Didn’t think it would delete all my journals, now after 7 days I realised the app is not reminding me to water my plants only to realise all the reminders are deleted too. Very disappointed as I almost killed my plants.Version: 5.3

DisappointedI got this app with the understanding it would identify plants and help me keep them healthy and let me know what to do if they weren’t. To have to pay and extra $13.99 each time I need gel is very disappointing and misleading 😔.Version: 5.29

RefundDid not want to subscribe signed up for the trail, Didn’t like the app. When to delete app before trail ended turns out the app already requested the payment which meant the amount was pending. The bank is reluctant to do anything and I am not able to apply for a refund!.Version: 5.0

Waste of moneyI paid $50 for 1 year subscription. It says plant is sick and gives same diagnosis for every plant and does not give the treatment plan. It says contact expert for which I have to pay more money. So what is the $50 for???? Just to tell me my plant is sick???.Version: 6.1

Not an ad supported free app like it claimsThey falsely claim to be an ad supported free app. That could be an Apple Store thing. Like most streaming networks, you need to subscribe to get your 3 free days but then get charged per week. It’s fairly up front but if you have an Apple account you need to be careful when you download this app..Version: 5.34

Subscription CatchI don’t like the automatic subscription that occurred after I trialed it. I believe there should be a notification alerting the customer that their subscription would become current prior to the cut off date. I went in to unsubscribe one day too late. I think it is a fine app, but after trying it out to see what it did I decided that it wasn’t for me. I believe that this automatic sign up is intentionally preying on the assumption that potential customers will forget to unsubscribe in time after they have trialed it. I think this isn’t right. I would like a refund. I feel like I have been somewhat taken advantage of by the manner in which you are getting subscription. The fact that I felt I didn’t get a chance to truly sign up makes me feel quite adverse to the APP. There is a better way to do business. One that is transparent, upfront and confident enough it its product that you don’t have to trick people to get customers..Version: 4.6

Keeps crashingI get past the tutorial part and it crashes.Version: 2.5

Would not recommendDoes a great job of identifying plants, but usage is VERY limited until you have to subscribe to keep using it. Subscription is very expensive too!.Version: 1.6

Review of AppWish I could give no stars. Only managed to get App to recognise one plant in the last month. Every time I take a photo of a plant it starts to show me the name and then add to upgrade takes over screen. When I click to continue with free version photo and identification has gone. Stuck in this loop..Version: 1.8

Didn’t correctly identify my plantsAfter about an hour of using this app to try and identify some plants, taking multiple photos at different angles and distances I gave up on this app. I downloaded picture this and it got it in one attempt :) so I’d recommend using that one rather than Nature ID..Version: 5.40

BEWARE BEFORE DOWNLOADINGDownloaded this to help identify a plant. Subscribed accidentally and Canceled before Free trial was up. They will not refund my money. Have sent several emails enquiring as to the status of refund and have received nothing from them. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS IS IN MY OPINION A SCAM !!.Version: 5.4

Enough with these subscription based bs appsCome on Apple, how about you take a little more care for your loyal supporters? Downloading an app, only to find the “free trial” requires subscription? What a waste of time. Great potential in this app, but I don’t want to accidentally get fleeced like the previous reviewer did for somehow not cancelling their subscription fast enough....Version: 3.12

How about weeds?Good app but surely I’m not the only one to use it for weed identification? I have to include them as My Plants but they’re actually My Unwanted Plants. And I’d like to know what herbicide to use, not when to water them..Version: 5.25

Rip Off DO NOT DOWNLOADThis app advertised as a free trial for 2 days which I agreed to. Immediately after downloading I “cancelled” it and removed from my subscriptions to avoid getting charged once the free trial was up. I deleted the app after using it once. It then proceeded to take 2 separate payments out of my account - one for £50 and one for £60 - and has subscribed me to it for a year. Ridiculous. I’ve complained to apple and have requested a refund..Version: 3.14

Not worth itStarted off great thinking I was getting tons of information from them but as the weeks went on you get less and less info and more ads about buying a subscription. Things that I was able to do in the beginning I cannot anymore because I get prompted to purchase a plan every time I try to do anything. Everybody has to make money but I shouldn’t be asked to buy something every time I open the app. It’s basically free for one or two weeks then features leave and that’s it unless you purchase something..Version: 5.21

Not as ExpectedThough I could see the is app being useful for watering schedules and care for someone who needs the extra reminders. I downloaded in hopes it would better recognize what was wrong with one of my plants. It did not diagnose as it was advertised on it’s Facebook ad. Instead it gave me lots of info; which is nice but then I had to read through each one to try and figure it out. At the end of the day I still don’t know what is wrong with it. I just did the free 3 day trial so maybe other things open up when you purchase? It didn’t thrill me enough to make the purchase..Version: 5.3

Bad qualityThe first few plants you check they let you do it for free but after that before each picture they have you watch adds, very inconvenient if you are a huge plant person with many plants around your home. Not to mention the app doesn’t even get half of the plants correct or doesn’t have a answer to what your plant is. And lastly it claims to be able to tell you the disease that your plant may have but each time you go to try it, it instead takes you to a slide for you to post a disease your plant has and describe it yourself instead of actually telling you wants going on with it. I recommend plantnet, I’m recently new to that app but so far I’ve been happy with it.Version: 4.0

Hideous customer service - took my $20I purchased this app online and how do you spell an unbelievable amount of time trying to get it loaded up. It would not function on my phone. I reached out to Customer Service for help and they continued to tell me after having me wait for a week that I was doing it wrong and I needed to reload the app. They would not listen that it was not working. They would not listen that it was looping. They would not honor my request for my refund. Hideous experience. Complete waste of time. I’m a busy person and you run the risk of having your $20 vanish, being gaslighted by the raunchy “customer service” and having a LOT of time sucked out of your life with no results..Version: 5.17

No breed closeI have a lab x mastiff neither of these came up as the breed of the dog so don’t really trust it to tell me what my cat is and def won’t pay for it.Version: 1.9

Can’t seem to get a simple diagnosisThought I would take a picture and get a simple diagnosis and treatment aswell as the name of the plant but seems to be a con because you then have to pay a further £8.99 for an expert opinion & treatment!.Version: 5.31

Publicité trompeuseC’est pas gratuit!.Version: 5.41

Terrible value propositionI don’t think an app that identifies plants is worth $100/year to anyone. Clearly just trying to make money off the poor people who forget to cancel their free trial. Pretty disgraceful. Edit: In reference to the dev update, I’ve confirmed you can continue without starting the free trial or paying for the subscription by clicking the X in the top left corner. However, this is not at all obvious and is such a dark pattern that is clearly trying to get you to start the trial. I’ll change my review from 1 to 2 stars..Version: 3.14

BEWARE! Free trial is a SCAM!Signed up for a free trial today and cancelled it after I used it one time, maybe had it an hour max. Taking this issue further with Apple as I checked my account and I had been charged for a year!! Requested refund only to be told this: Unfortunately, developers cannot issue refunds as this process is controlled by iTunes..Version: 4.6

Identifier was awful, free trial is so short!I downloaded this app using the free trial to help a friend. When I got home, I wanted to play around with the app some more so I used the identifier to ID all the plants in my house. It got every single one wrong. I even took three different photos of the same plant and got three different answers every time. This is a really expensive app for wrong answers!! I already cancelled my free trial. And while I understand it’s on the user to understand the free trial, a three day period seems way too short. I’ve never used an app with anything shorter than a week free trial. Between the terrible results and the short trial, this just feels really scammy to me. Buyer beware..Version: 6.1

Not worth it.Very general advice, little relevance to specific plant. Gives list of possible reasons for browning leaves reasons eg ageing etc - nothing specific and no real advice you can act on or implement. Specific advice from a botanist via messaging with photo costs £8.99 on top for each plant. Light intensity measured is given and a general range in the feature - again not specific to the plant so useless. More FREE information available on the net . Regret buying it ..Version: 5.33

DeceivingSigned up for 3 day free trial and was *Immediately* charged. Don’t fall for their free trial. It’s not, you will be charged right away..Version: 5.31

Nothing special , too expensiveI have downloaded the app as it was promising a lot. By scanning the plant you get the name of the plant and what’s the plant condition, but not specifically group. Patient of issues that can happen. My plans had abiotic and it might be from a few different things, so it doesn’t specify from what my plans got abiotic. After I click on consulting what to do about the plant it offers you plantbot to advise you for $9,99$ per advice. Things like advising how to help your plant recognizing plant, recognizing sort of the plant should be included in weekly price which is 7.99$. Absolutely disappointed and I have the reinstalled right away! Somet.Version: 5.36

Another con job fake freebieBah dishonest advertising says free online then allows you waste your time and data then no function until you commit to subscription That’s not free It’s trickery to manipulate market Yes you can cancel but if it’s a genuine product why not let the customer use it for a week genuinely free Answer is- it’s not worth a fraction of the price and they can only profit from rat cunning relying on you to forget or be too bewildered by technology to work out how to cancel This is the new world of sly lies Free is not free.Version: 6.1

UselessTri.Version: 1.8

It’s not feeeIt’s labeled as a free app but is not. Doesn’t scan plants correctly either, crappy app. Don’t use it, not worth it.Version: 6.1

Do not subscribe!!! Warning!!!! This is a scam!!!!They deceive you by having their app placed under “subscription expired”. However, it is renewed each week and steal your funds straight out of your credit card..Version: 5.21

No option to cancel subscriptionThere is no option in the app to cancel the subscription, once we purchase it while we enroll into the app for the first time.Version: 5.6

Non senseDon’t match at all.Version: 5.41

What a scamAdvertises that it’s FREE and then charges a membership to us, a hefty one at that. That is not free, that is deceptive..Version: 1.9

Too expensive. Incorrect identifyingSigned up for free trial. I figured if it worked as well as it claimed, I'd pay the ridiculous $6.99 weekly subscription fee and use it on a bunch of plants for a few weeks. However, right off the top, The Nature ID App incorrectly identified two succulents-which I really needed info on! When I tried to contact the company the next day to cancel-I got no reply. Then I messaged again on the morning of the third day (last day to cancel)and they did reply and instructed me on how to cancel- but in the fine print I noticed it said "cancellation requests must be submitted 24hrs prior to renewal date to avoid being charged". So, I wasted my time and $7 for Absolutely nothing. Very disappointed..Version: 5.36

Rubbish don’t botherI have three cats all very different in appearance, one long haired and two short haired. And according to your app I have two American wire hair (long haired and short haired) and a mushroom (3rd short haired). Now I don’t know what mushroom meows and walks on four legs but apparently I have one, and no she is not for sale. On the upside however, this explains why she does not eat her cat food, perhaps I should give her some miracle grow, this could explain why she is quite small. Should save me a fortune now going forward..Version: 2.4

App doesn’t work and is not accurate.I have tried using this app at least ten times today on different plants in my yard. All it does is spin and spin and then says an error occurred. This happens all the time with this app. When it does give a response it isn’t all that accurate. I have seen it call a cherry tree a peach tree. It has called my Yucca plant outside half a dozen different things. I have white cedar outside and half the time it gives me an identification it tells me it’s a red cedar etc. It seems to only work well on common, distinctive looking plants that most people can identify on their own..Version: 5.18

Not a happy camper with plantumThis plant identifier does not do all it suggests after you secure yearly subscription. Yesterday I brought my plant in so that it wouldn’t die from cold exposure. Some of the leaves were torn and chewed and had some fungus on the base. I took quite a few pics and it gave me the wrong plant id several times. Waited til this morning and it identified my plant correctly, but it prompted me to ask experts how to treat it for additional $9.99/consultation. It was to my understanding that after securing a subscription, it gives you that info automatically if your plant is sick. Not happy about this..Version: 6.1

Diagnosis doesn’t workThis app has been handy for identifying plants which is why I downloaded it, but when I tried to use it to diagnose my Orchid, it was completely useless. It didn’t recognize anything when my Orchid started withering, and I thought maybe there just wasn’t enough damage to recognize something wrong. Unfortunately the Orchid got progressively worse and the diagnostic button didn’t recognize anything at any stage. Now the Orchid is yellow, brown, and no longer flowering, (very obviously dying and prob beyond help) so I tried to diagnose one more time to see if the app would even recognize that. It did not, and continues to call the Orchid healthy. Maybe it works if you use the paid version..Version: 6.1

DO NOT DOWNLOADI downloaded this for a one time use today because a coworker asked me what kind of plant was in our office. Unsure of the answer, I decided to see what I could do to figure it out for her. So here I am, down $59, out my bank account in the hole, and will most likely be charged an overdraft fee all because they claimed it was a 3 day free trial and I was charged for a year long subscription. I had the app for no more than 30 minutes and cancelled my subscription through the Apple settings and then deleted the app. Come to find out I had already been charged and after speaking with Apple support, it doesn’t look like they’ll be refunding me. YALL COULD HAVE AT LEAST CHARGED FOR A 7 DAY TRIAL INSTEAD OF A YEAR. BUNCH OF CON-ARTISTS..Version: 1.8

Waste of money..It’s diagnosis is broad. Identifying actual plant is good but that’s not why I got it. It was more effective cutting of an affected plant piece and driving 5 mins to a nursery where they diagnosed it and sold me the stuff I need to fix it - which worked a treat. There are loads of free plant identifiers apps that do the job just the same or better. So I think this app is very poor since as I said I just wanted to know how to fix my plant. It does offer you expert consultation at$15 a pop though which is also a waste of $$ gotto a nursery it’s free!.Version: 6.1

Sailor JimI have tried to cancel this purchase unsuccessfully. I found the app could not even recognise simple plants like a couple of orchards which I tried it out on as well as another plant. I only downloaded it yesterday and tried to cancel it the same day. I have also received two invoices for the same app? How come..Version: 6.1

Great for identificationWas great and identifying the plans but any diagnosis was returned with possibly abiotic. Really not helpful considering that there are several possible causes of this, most of which you’re able to figure out could be a potential problem on your own. Sunlight? Watering? Temperature? These are all the things you’ve already considered!.Version: 5.12

Not a great appBought based on a social media review. Had multiple incorrect identifications. Not sure if as I’m located in NZ. Even tested against plant label identifier on newly bought plants and common house plants in NZ. Disappointed and regret purchase :/.Version: 5.13

Auto download after trial without approvalThis app automatically downloaded without gaining my explicit approval. I only found out when reviewing my credit card expenses. I also can’t find out how to ensure it doesn’t automatically renew after 12-months. Developers, could you please let me know how to cancel my subscription to prevent automatic renewal but allow me to use for 12-months that I have paid for?.Version: 1.7

UselessI took a picture of my seal Burmese. One of the most common pedigree cats and it came up with a Mekong Bobtail!.Version: 1.10

Rubbish.Don’t bother. It’s highly inaccurate. I was intrigued after seeing an advert on social media, so downloaded and scanned both my cats. They are an unusual pedigree breed called Chartreux, and not common to come across so I was curious if it would pick them up correctly. They can be confused for Russian blue, British shorthair or occasionally Korat but do carry different traits if you know what you’re looking for. The suggestion of breeds that were not even closely similar. Chartreux are known for bright amber eyes, and a ‘smile’ constantly. They are also light grey. It was showing Donskoy (bald) Somali and Japanese Bobtail as the identified breed...I mean????.Version: 1.9

DissatisfiedI downloaded this app almost a year ago. The reminders are helpful, but I noticed that if I miss a day (ADHD, I don’t always get to it with reminders) then the list of plant care tasks disappear for that day. They don’t transfer to the next day, so you just have to guess based on last watering. I also am very displeased with their plant ID. Most of my newer or unique plants are never ID-ed correctly or even close to what it is. I’ve even tried inputting the common name as well as the scientific classification & on many of my plants it doesn’t recognize the plant. After about a year of trying I’m calling it a wash & deleting..Version: 5.20

DON'T PAY FOR ANYTHING!!!!It identified my plant and it said it was sick when it obviously wasn't, so it said if I wanted to know what my plant had I had to pay, it was only $10 yearly so I said ok it's cheap, then after I bought the app it said my plant was perfectly fine 🙃 So I grabbed a plant that I knew it was sick and it said it was sick but if I wanted to talk to an expert so they can tell me how to fix it and what it had was other $10 per session 🙃 are you kidding me? You can keep the app for free if you only want to identity your plant but don't pay for anything else if you think it's sick is easier to Google the name of your plant and ask why your plant has the leaves down or brown or the issue you're having, trust me is the best you can do.Version: 5.17

PromisingNot a lot of succulents varieties are registered. A few common plants lack care info (like agapanthus or carnivorous plants). But most of all, after the free trial period you basically have to pay for almost everything : you can’t add any plant to your listing and you only have access to the top of the care page. Besides their gardening articles are not very complete and there’s only a few. So it’s great if you don’t buy any plants after the trial period and you just want care reminders. Sorry but I am sure there are other free options that are more convenient than this app….Version: 5.0

Don’t get sucked into paying $81Terrible experience. Deceptive UX design which essentially tricks you into an instant ONE YEAR subscription for $81, when you think you’re signing up for a few days’ trial. Their video ads claim to let you photograph a plant’s leaves and AI will give you a “diagnosis” of what’s wrong with your plant, yet all it actually does is photograph your plant and then give you a bunch of photos of diseased leaves to choose from yourself. Steer clear..Version: 4.8

Bad Service and Subscription TakenNatureID took my yearly subscription 2 days before the end of my free 7 day trial with no advice I have sent multiple messages requesting a refund and am still waiting a response Not recommended unless you are sure you want to subscribe!!!!.Version: 2.1

Not greatI’ve had this app for a couple months and it’s not worth the money. Since having it, I’ve thrown out two plants. The app itself has many annoyances in scheduling/re scheduling waterings etc. The only good thing is that it keeps your plants top of mind..Version: 6.1

No health advice and adverts are too intrusiveI appreciate the developer needs to cover the costs, but like others, I clicked through from an advert of social media about plant health identification. I chose not to use the trial from the outset as it's an inconvenient time to test, and although it identified the plant, there was no health diagnosis available. I couldn't find it in the app because a full screen, time-based advert shows up after literally every click -so if you're exploring, it takes minutes to do anything. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to seeing whether it was any good, but their greed has put me off what otherwise seems a handy and nicely designed app..Version: 2.0

Careful and it auto takes £s subscriptionI was shocked after trying this once with my cat (and it suggesting about 10 different breeds over five pictures) that a day or two later I was stung for about £60!! And a yearly subscription. Teaches me for not reading the terms fully I guess. First “free” app I’ve ever seen automatically take money with no action from me needed. Beware!.Version: 3.0

Identifier needs intense workFirst off this app tried to charge me for an annual subscription and then charge me a fee weekly: I shut that down right away. I haven’t found this app to be as useful as I expected it to be. And the AI photo identifier system needs to better “trained” or however it’s technically said. I could take a crystal clear picture of a lady bug and it will think it’s something polar opposite. The diagnosis is hyper-sensitive but one symptom can be synonymous problems which is hard to really come to a conclusion without buying in more to the app for a personalized diagnosis..Version: 6.1

Immoral Billing PracticesImmediate 1year subscription is slightly cheaper than using the “free trial” period... surely this is against App Store policy? Then if you go to your subscription settings theres an option for 75% off... presumably to catch you before you cancel. Otherwise works as advertised..Version: 3.4

DodgyPredatory billing practises. Hides the payment button in the tutorial screens in the hope you’ll click through and pay without realising. Why would I pay $15 for a “free” 3 day trial? What a rip off. Edit: You respond to say, “our app does not trick users”. If that were true, you wouldn’t have needed to defend yourself by repeating that line for half the reviews here complaining about the same thing. If users are telling you they feel deceived and scammed and you refuse to accept this as valid, that says all we need to know about your values and priorities. If your customers are dissatisfied and you don’t care, you’re a scammer..Version: 4.8

TERRIBLEIt won’t let me cancel it. It now wants me to pay it £54 or something, and I don’t know how to cancel it, I deleted it straight after I got it, but it still wants me to pay and I am really confused. Don’t get it. And can someone please tell me how to cancel it because I don’t want to pay £54 for something that I used for 5 minutes because I was bored..Version: 1.11

Not happy. Beware short trial lengthTook trial to see if it could identify disease on my plant as described. It could not, in fact just providing a list of all common plant diseases, which I could have got from Google. Meant to delete, but was charged full yearly subscription of £60 within 36 hours. Not worth the money..Version: 4.9

RefundHi I was planning on trying this app out and wanted to pay weekly but it has charged me for the year subscription. I wanted to no if I can get a refund please I only purchased it today..Version: 6.1

Forced to purchase to useWaist of time. Forced to purchase to continue. I deleted it!.Version: 6.1

Try PlantNet instead. If you don’t want to pay $59 per year, then this app is practically useless. It’ll give you 1 free identification (1 total, not 1 per day), and then it’s done until you pay. Don’t even think about using the “free” trial, as they don’t respect the 3 day window, and they auto-bill instead of asking if you want to go through with the upgrade. I’d like some sort of in-between app, where the free version is actually useful, and then the pro version has expanded features, access, etc.. Those who need the full thing undoubtedly find this app great, as it seems well put together, and fairly seamless. It just offers nothing for the casual user. PlantNet and iNaturalist are much more friendly to casual users, and as of right now, don’t charge for plant identification or anything else..Version: 5.0

Didn’t workDidn’t properly identify plants or disease. Kept assigning the wrong identification and saying the plants were healthy when they had an infestation. I tried it in multiple kinds of plants. Wrong every time..Version: 6.1

ScamThis is a scam, just let people know upfront that is a PAID app…. Only 3 days free but still wanting your credit card details….. very disappointing!.Version: 5.8

Marked my Dalmatian as a great daneApp was unable to identify a Dalmatian and incorrectly categorized my German Shepherd as a small white dog that I never heard of..Version: 2.0

Very limitedHas a very limited selection of plants, and doesn’t allow searching or addition of new plant species, especially variegated types. Has gotten better at giving advice on care, but once again is limited to about three very common causes of problems..Version: 5.8

Shaddy scam app to get people to sign up unkowingly to a pricey subscriptionFirst of all, this app doesn’t really give a very accurate reading, you’re probably better off searching on Google. I wasn’t going to write a review but I wanted to warn potential users that the app automatically pops up with subscription options (which are big colorful buttons) it appears as those are the only things to click to move forward, but clicking these will charge you for a subscription (even though the second one touches on a free trial). At the very bottom it says in super small font “continue using free trial”, click that or you’ll be charged..Version: 1.6

Mediocre recognitionTried 5 photos to recognize my aloe plant. 5 out of 5 failed. I typed aloe Vera and then took a picture which gave very generic information. I wouldn’t consider paying for this as a household plant app. 19.99 a year or 8.99 a week… intriguing math that doesn’t add up..Version: 5.28

Not worth it and not accurateI was hoping this app would be a great gardening aide but it’s not. When you use the diagnose on any plant it always returns the same three possibilities and none relating to the plant I scanned. Also the watering schedule seems to over water my plants. I used the pot size measuring tool and it had me watering the indoor plants every 3 days! The fertilising schedule it created would kill my plants! It’s good for identifying your plants but that’s about it!.Version: 6.1

Waste of time and money!!!I think it’s a waste of money I really only download and payed for it to get ideas of what to put into my plants to make them happier, healthier all around. But apparently all you get is a diagnosis, you do not get the help and information to help your plant without paying more money for each time. Also you can take the same picture of the same plant at the same angle basically using the same picture or image and get a different result with this app. That to me is just fake. If you enjoy it and like paying the money for it then that’s you but I will not. It’s a waste of time and money.Version: 6.2

Bogus App full of liesIts not free, not even close to free, and they require a credit card or access to your apple pay in order to test it for a pointless brief duration of time. Ignore, delete and use built in plant ID function of YOUR iPHONE CAMERA! Not worth the time to even download..Version: 5.39

Manipulative dark patterns scamsMakes you pay every time you come back to this app. The cancel button is as invisible as the laws allow.Version: 5.32

I can you help me outI purchased your app for $20. 1999 for lifetime membership didn’t get anything so I found your app but it says it wants $40 a year I don’t quite understand can you help me out please.Version: 5.23

Requests to subscribe immediately hahaCan’t use unless you subscribe to $10 weekly or $60 per annum. Can delay your payment by 3 days (so called free trial). I don’t want to bother searching how to cancel my subscription before it charges me $10. I just want some free to use app, but this one tries to pretend to be free while it’s not..Version: 6.1

UselessYou can take 1 photo total before it FORCES you to sign up for a free trial, or simply pay. That’s absolute nonsense and ultimately makes the app entirely useless. Who in their right mind is paying $60 a year or $8 a month to identify pets and plants? Honestly if you’re that into plants, they have books and plenty other free databases you can use for identification. This is overpriced useless nonsense. Honestly, the only reason why I wanted to take a second photo was because the first time I tried with my cat it gave me breeds that were not accurate at all. I read the descriptions and each one had specific characteristics my cat did not have. For example, the first breed match must have blue eyes, my cats are clearly yellow in the photo. The second breed match had “space between the eyes the same width as the eyes,” the space between my cats eyes are further than this. So on and so forth, my point is this app is USELESS! Do not install!!.Version: 1.10

ReviewThe ID section is very helpful. Sadly I found the disease, recommendations for upkeep & location etc a little lacking. This may be due to me installing the cheapest option £8.95 pr year? Overall though, comparing this app to others available, it doesn’t standout as the best, it’s simply you get what you pay for. Happy gardening everyone Bel - Worcestershire.Version: 5.4

Not goodI paid for a years subscription and 1 month later they tried to charge me again. So not only did they try to recharge me, my years subscription expired after 1 month so there is something very wrong with their subscription process..Version: 5.34

Money Hungry. The app won’t even let you read which plant you’ve identified before asking you to upgrade to the premium version and the moment you opt to maintain your free version you lose the plant you’ve just identified (not stored in your history either). I repeated this process 5 times before deleting the app. I understand getting what you pay for, but there are numerous other FREE apps that actually provide what this app claims to. Don’t bother..Version: 1.6

TerribleCan’t Id anything and is a waste of money. Don’t waste your money because it is false with identifying everything.Version: 2.1

Disappointing for diagnosisSo I’ve been using the plant identify part and loved it! But I’ve been seen the advert online to get the “diagnosis” well it’s so silly! I paid, and yet it gives your so many “could bes” that I should have just googled! Then If I want an expert opinion it’s another subscription completely. On top of what I have…. Very very disappointing….. I’ve had the app for months, and thought why not try it, but again the adverts are poor. They simply show “add milk, or add chilli” to help the plant, all you do is give so many reasons for the colouring and that’s it!!!!.Version: 6.1

Don’t botherGoing to delete this app. The add I saw made it look like it shows you how to care for your plants after submitting pictures. Which is true but then you get a pop up that it’s 12.99 to consult the experts about your plant. So I get as far as getting a picture and IDing it but no care suggestions without payment per plant… and this is after the paying the subscription..Version: 6.1

MehInteresting app, identifies the plants however one of my plants is sick and it's not helped.. says to wait 3 days for correspondence on how to help the plant however think this could be better considering having paid for the app to try and find out what was wrong with the plant in the first place!.Version: 5.25

Location not supportedI recently purchased yearly subscription and to my disappointment it doesn’t provide plant care guidance based on my location as I am based out of Sydney. After struggling a bit with that I tried looking for an option that lets me set my location and then give me watering instructions based on the weather in Sydney but the App doesn’t have a feature to set a location. It would be great to have this added to the App..Version: 5.17

Rubbish appTried several times to identify my cat and kept getting a selection of ‘one of these could be your cat’ instead of an actual answer like the ad showed. The ad is very misleading. None of the options the app had came close to my cat. Ridiculously expensive as well. The price certainly isn’t worth what little the app can do. I’ve cancelled my free subscription even though I have time left on the free trial. Cancelled and deleted. Don’t even think about charging me for this nonsense!.Version: 2.1

FreezesSigned up for free trial but was instantly billed for it at the start of free trial period? Not sure what’s up with that. Anyway, the actual app is designed well in terms of user interface and looks to have lots of great features but… it doesn’t work! Freezes the moment I try to ask it to identify a plant or diagnose a disease rendering it virtually useless. Hopefully this bug will be fixed soon..Version: 5.33

Not accurate…Not an accurate app for plant care. I’ve done better looking things up on the internet. I like the ease of the app overall, but needs some help with plant identification. I don’t have Pro, so I can’t speak to the diagnosis aspect. “Could be…” is not sufficient. When I looked to the light meter for proper plant resting place, the optimal range did not equal what I found elsewhere. It’s too broad, and for some plants, is way off. So I wouldn’t use that as final word. Good concept, double-check other resources before using as prime source of information..Version: 5.40

Doesn’t workTried it on one of my dogs multiple times. Every time it came up with a different breed. None of which were even close to what they were. People actually pay for this app?.Version: 1.10

Headline advertising is deceptiveAny app where you have to provide your credit details in order to use it is not free by any stretch of the imagination. Headline should not say “Free app” it should say “Free trial on provision of credit information”. “Free app” is dishonest or at the very least careless with the truth. The app might be worth the money but with that level of lack of transparency up front I doubt it. As a result I didn’t even bother with the so called “Free trial”. After wasting my time to download I am now unlikely to even consider anything else by the same supplier..Version: 5.13

Complete money grabI bought this app by accident trying to identify a plant that was obviously struggling. The app cost $50/year (which I accidentally accepted). It misidentified my plant - however diagnosed that the plant it identified wasn’t healthy. I read along about the issues with the plant - all sorts of problems identified. No solutions suggested. In order to get help with the problem, I’d have to pay for a consultation with an expert. I really don’t understand how this app is at all highly rated. It’s a complete waste of money and a money grab. I’m trying to get reimbursed for my purchase since 1 minute after I bought it I realized it was a mistake..Version: 5.28

False advertisingThe app is advertised as free. But then asks you to spend $19 CAD to actually do anything with it..Version: 3.11

Wrong IDCan’t seem to get the plant ID correct so can’t diagnose problems with them I paid subscription and first year forgot to use it so paid again and it’s the most useless app around. My bad for paying money but thought I was getting some info for my money but NO I’m not.Version: 6.1

Free trial cancellationVery confusing cancellation process. Wasn’t sure if I managed to cancel, When viewing my subscriptions, this app still showing as a active but no option to cancel. According to website‘s terms & conditions it means I already cancel subscription. I haven’t received any email confirmation. I emailed customer service to confirm the cancellation of 2 order ids ( why two if I agreed to purchase one app only) and received email instruction how to cancel the subscription-copy/paste style and still no answer about my order ids. It makes me feel really uncomfortable and makes me question company’s good intentions after making this so difficult when it should be quick, easy and straightforward..Version: 2.5

Worst app everI thought this looked like an interesting app. I didn’t realise you had to pay to use it. Anyhow I mistakenly bought it and there is no way to cancel the subscription… no customer support what so ever and any help you may need with the app of course cost extra on top. I hate it.Version: 5.18

No customer service whatsoeverI had signed up for the free trial to help a friend, missed removing the subscription fee before I was charged for a full year. I never use the app, I used it once to help test for a friend. I have emailed and contacted several times to request a refund and never get a reply. Happy to persevere with multiple one star ratings if needed..Version: 2.0

The app can't ID or diagnose treesCan't even ID a guava, tried three different times, all different trees. Such magic!! Not to mention the ask the expert feature features an AI master gardener bs.Version: 5.20

Not very goodIt doesn’t actually “find” your animal breed. You have to select out of options. It also doesn’t have a big selection of breeds to choose from, so I couldn’t find the breed I was looking for. When I browsed at other people’s, they also clicked any breed and therefore it doesn’t accurately select breeds..Version: 1.11

Not accurateI have had another plant identifier app that was more accurate. I tried to identify a tree and I took 5 photos of the leaves in different places and it told me 5 different trees. None appear correct. Disappointing for the price..Version: 6.1

Enable to diagnose problemThe app just provides a list of possible problems with a plant. It was not able to identify a specific problem like over watering..Version: 6.1

Supposed to be free?Immediately gave me an option to “try for free” or subscribe for nearly $50 a year. That’s not free, in my books, and false advertising..Version: 6.1

Billing issues (retort)My review is actually in response to the person who wrote the review “billing issues “. I literally just signed up on the app & was NOT advised of a free trial nor that I would subsequently be charged to use the app. Perhaps the issue is NOT “boomers” but it is actually something to do with the app itself…...Version: 6.1

Don’t waste your time with this load of junk.Where do I start? I downloaded this just to see what it was like. Once it downloaded and I opened it, it tried to force me to upgrade for a MONTHLY FEE (something I would never do for just an app). I continued with the free version. I uploaded a clear photo of my German Shepherd dog, it came up saying husky. I tried to upload a photo of my cat and it again tried to force me to upgrade. I tapped continue with free version and it went off the photo and back onto the main page. Maybe the developers should concentrate less on scamming people out of their hard earned cash and focus more on fixing the issues on their completely useless and pointless app. RANT OVER!!!.Version: 1.9

Does not sync my paid for services to my phone & Ipad - MOST disappointingDoes not sync my paid for services to a second device paid a subscription via my iPhone cannot access paid for services on my iPad signed in with same Apple ID. The pictures of the plants in my yard sync to my IPad but it is requesting a second annual payment to access the background info on my IPad -MOST disappointing.Version: 5.0

FreezesI paid for this app , but it’s very slow and it freezes. I don’t know what Is the problem but it doesn’t work the way it should.Version: 5.25

Not free you have to subscribeWhat a waste of time..Version: 5.32

Not sure if I’ve been charged ? No confirmationIn small print it said a subscription charge and I’m not sure if it’s tried to take a payment ? Or has done ? I can’t afford it and I would like to know if it’s tried to charge me .... since it’s not even asked if I want to make an account etc. As someone who’s struggling due to COVID affecting work I’d like to not be charged for an app.Version: 4.5

50 50Half the time the app gets it completely wrong. The other half its useful. You have to do your own research to confirm identification. Its cheap so i still use it..Version: 6.1

CrashesCrashes continuously.Version: 2.5

Works poorlyI found it unable to identify house plants and the fact that one needs to subscribe to use it is pointless. If they really had a useful product they would at least have the identification feature free and charge for the advise. Don’t bother with this..Version: 6.1

Over promised and under deliveredI couldn’t seem to recognize my plants using the camera or common names to the plant. I had to google the proper name and input that. Didn’t have a lot of info to help one of my plants that isn’t uncommon. Other than using it for a scheduler, an absolute waste of money..Version: 5.33

All plants given them same adviceVery disappointing, thought I’d try the year subscription . Photographed 5 and pants and all given the same advice , same sheet used . You can ask an expert but that costs another £8 on top of the £26 per year subscription . Don’t waste your money ..Version: 5.16

PlanteJe prend en photo une plante et ça dit que c’est un chou, ensuite betterave. C’est complètement faux.Version: 6.2

ScamThis is absolutely scam app, basically only tell you what kind of plan is , but if you want more information you need pay more , unbelievable. It was not like what they advertised. Don’t waste your money!.Version: 6.1

GarbageHow is this rated 4.5 when most reviews are 1 star.Version: 5.28

DREADFULHahahaha I can’t explain what jokes this app is. I tested it first on my Russian Blue cat (very distinctive breed) , and it gave me a list of 7 cats, Russian blue being the 5th one! Then I tried it on my 2 mastiff dogs (Dogue De Bordeaux) , on the first it told me he was an Irish Wolfhound, (NOT EVEN CLOSE hahahahahaha) then my second told me she was a pug!!! Well I ain’t never seen a pug stand 3ft tall from floor to back and weigh 10 stone hahahahaha this app needs serious work. How they have the cheek to charge people for it is laughable.Version: 1.10

Not the app it used to be.I'm a subscriber but all the info has been moved behind other pay walls. It's not the app It used to be and there's no contact with the makers to find out what is going on or why they have done this. Says it's beta testing stuff they used to just have available..Version: 5.37

Not happy, avoid this appI have tried to use this app to identify numerous plants and not once has it given me an accurate answer. Not only is it inaccurate they automatically charged me for a 12 month subscription at the highest option $94. I had downloaded it to try and used it once and the next thing I know they have charged me for a 12 month subscription. Dear Scammers, in reference to your response - you haven’t addressed anyone’s comments about the app not working!!!! Other apps make it very obvious that you are reaching the end of a free prescription period. I haven’t come across one that can be downloaded without payment and within 24 hours you receive a $94 subscription fee. I didn’t even get a chance to try it before I was charged..Version: 1.6

No photos providedUsed for the first time and the results returned had no photo, so there was. I way of verifying if the id was correct. Deleted app as quickly as I downloaded it. Pointless and doesn’t function as users would expect it too..Version: 4.9

Not goodMis-identified a couple of common plants. Said two were unhealthy but no specifics as to what. Sunlight suggestions are vague. Watering recommendations are way off, one suggestion would have waterlogged my plant and killed it! Plus the subscription £6.50 a week after 3 day trial is crazy expensive, £25 a month?! Deleted..Version: 5.35

AnnoyingTried to use a picture I had, and it told me the image was too small. What?? Put it through a different plant ID app and it worked. Don’t allow camera roll access if you are going to have such restrictions. I’m probably using a pic from my camera roll because I’m not near the plant anymore. So if the image is “too small” whats my recourse? Moreover, the shameless promo for your premium is too much. After one use an ad for it comes up and takes up the whole screen. Then in the app it’s all over as well. We get it. Premium is an option. You don’t need to shove it down people’s throats continuously..Version: 5.6

Why thoI got this thinking it would be fun but when I took a picture of some plants I came up with cats. I was in the plant section..Version: 1.9

Not worth itAllowed me to identify one plant and then sends me to buy the app at over £50 for the year. Every time you try to go back to the original app it reverts and you can’t see the plant info. Am sure it would be great if you have that much money to spend on an app but most of us don’t..Version: 1.6

So soWaaaay too expensive. Maybe if I was studying plants I would get this app but for me I just see things now and then that I might want to get for my garden so I want to find out what it is. It also doesn’t have anything about plant care. I guess that’s now what it’s for but considering all the info they do have on the plants it’s a little strange not to add that. Also not always accurate. Just way too expensive..Version: 2.0

Has not been too helpful for the price.First be weary. If you do not exit the 3day free trial it has you set for the annual premium of 50+ dollars. I’m stuck with it for a year and 50 dollars drained. There goes my food budget for the week. Ramen and PB&js for me. Yikes. I digress.... Leaf snap, a free app, has been a bit more accurate than this one. Plant Photos I had uploaded shells out approximately 12 suggestions. Basically identifying the family but not the type. I already know it’s an oak, but is it a Laural or live? I know it’s a night shade, but there are several species. So which is the one that is in my hand? Get it. So my mistake for not closing out the subscription soon enough. Suggestion: go to an ad based revenue where local nurseries can have advertised specials they host through your app and based off user locations with push notifications..Version: 1.8

Clickbait they just want the moneySo I want to give a short yet honest review about this app. To be honest it isn’t great and I don’t recommend. I already spend about $100 on flowers every year. I am not going to add $120 just so an app could tell me how to fix my plant. I can get someone to do that for 50 bucks. To add on, it’s click bait. It says “we will tell you the steps to take care of your plants” oh really why am I here doing that myself. I have to pick out which disease I see? All negative comments a side, it identifies the plant well not gonna lie. Overall, I don’t highly recommend this app..Version: 5.1

Eh needs workI saw this app in a add and it looked very useful because we have a lot of plants and some of which are dying and we can not figure out why. So I decided to download it. After downloading it would not let me into the actual app unless I payed for a years worth of this app ($60). Yea ok Barbra, that ain’t happening, I deleted the app a minute later and went to the reviews to see if it was just a bug because I expected a little more from a app that had 4 stars. Nope that was no bug and I later learned that I had escaped a scam just in time for other people actually got tricked in to paying for it for a whole year. This is not a good app and it needs to give you a longer amount of time for a trial and not trick you into paying $60 dollars. I also have the question of this: the only reviews so far that I have seen are 1 star reviews so how does it have 4?.Version: 3.0

More info abt plants pls (propagation info esp.)I wish you would give more information about the plant and how to care for the plant. I would love to know if they are annuals/perennials? Do they bloom more than once? also can you propagate them / how to do it (would be awesome!!!). The identify feature is incredible but I ALWAYS have to then google more information about the plant. Would be so cool if it was already on the app or if you provided links. ◡̈ otherwise I love this app and the ID feature makes it totally worth it..Version: 5.21

App doesn’t do what it says it willThere appears to be no way to search for information about what might be wrong with my plant. Additionally, all watering schedules default to 1 day - other similar apps give the right interval for the particular plant. I would like my purchase refunded please..Version: 4.6

Be careful about accidentally subbing and getting chargedWas excited to give the photo detection a try one Sunday so I downloaded the app and went through the regular app agreements and click click. To my dismay, I was charged with a $15 sub that was never intended. I admit I was going through it quickly but I am usually quite cautious however I suspect this could be by design. Whatever it is, it wasn’t a very good experience on my end and I hope it doesn’t happen to others. If it does though apple has a really easy “request a refund for apps” process so google that. Thanks for reading and happy gardening..Version: 5.7

Incomplete $9.99 AssessmentsI purchased a sad little succulent plant from Lowe’s with the hope of reviving her. My usually green thumb was stuck since she wasn’t thriving after a month so I paid $9.99 for a consultation. The response was ‘I recommend repotting the plant in a different soil with a little sand added.’ What the heck? WHAT SOIL DO I USE? I responded back using the sent from address by replying . No response. I tried through the app. They wanted another $9.99. I don’t mind the consult fee if I can communicate in real time to the ‘consultant’. But it’s a one way feed. I feed them $10 and am fed a response solution that doesn’t allow questions based on the response. Yep, no, can’t do. Was wishing this would be a totally awesome app but it isn’t. I discontinued the subscription and want my money back..Version: 5.25

Very disappointedCan not even open app after using it for a couple of times now will not even open and shuts my screen down !! I am beginning to think it is not trust worthy can not get hep from anything.Version: 5.22

Fraudulent chargesI am not signed up for any type of auto renew and I have never purchased this subscription to begin with. The company without my permission charged me over 40$ for some type of service..Version: 6.1

Cancelled this but still got chargedI cancelled this subscription ages ago yet I still managed to get charged for it.Version: 6.1

InaccurateTook a photo of a rose and identifier identified it as a Camelia. Not at all accurate.Version: 1.4

Doesn’t work well for the southern hemisphereI think the app doesn’t consider the difference between northern and southern hemispheres. I live in Australia and it’s fall here now but the app, despite the location being enabled, suggests it’s the growing period and offers to water some plants every 3 days..Version: 5.38

Horrible App - Charges & Doesn’t Identify CorrectlyThe app didn’t tell me how much it was before I signed up for the FREE subscription. It then CHARGED me the highest price - the weekly price! And it couldn’t identify half of the plants in my house, even a basic tomato plant. Everything about this app feels like a scam!.Version: 5.39

So bad it’s almost funny. As expect, it’s TOTAL crap. Though it was funny when it told me my small black and white kitten was a large husky. I mean I think so I don’t know because before I could see anything else an ad popped up for their premium stuff or whatever. This happened every time. I knew it wouldn’t be good as it had that really fake looking ad. App DELETED! Edit: The developer responded, as you can see but to be honest for an iPhone app I doubt you’ll ever get it accurate. I’m not necessarily saying they’re bad developers but you know it seems like it’d need better tech to be able to identify species..Version: 1.10

DisappointedWhy pay a sub when other free apps that do the same ? Get real..Version: 5.34

In accurate plant care info and identificationIt often does not identify plants correctly. There are also a lot of common types that are not listed. The worse though is that a lot of the guidelines that they tell you to keep the plants happy (humidity levels, soil needs, fertilizing, light needs etc. are wrong and have actually harmed my plants because I was following them. It is however a really great app for being able to track when you did fertilizing watering repotting etc. for each plant and set reminders.Version: 5.18

Got charged in less than 24hrs of downloading the appIf I could give a zero star I would I downloaded this app and it did state 3 days free trial before you get charge a yearly fee, I cancelled my subscription the same day of downloading it, yet I got charged in the first day of trial for a whole year. This is misleading and not acceptable, I already called apple and requested a refund let’s see if I get my money back.Version: 4.6

Forced to purchase upon downloadUpon downloading, I was immediately asked to purchase a subscription before I even received the chance to open the app and test it out. Thinking it was a double confirmation for downloading, I was immediately charged for a year with no options for weekly/monthly etc. Of course, now this has put me off even wanting to trial/use this..Version: 4.0

The worst app ever. They never contacted me! Do not buy.Worst buy ever. They wrote to sit and relax until someone contact me. I have never been contacted for my plant bad condition. Do not buy!!!.Version: 5.33

Hope you like adsI bought a subscription but even with the lifetime subscription it shows ads on every single page for offers to get a better subscription. There are no options to stop this. Deleted.Version: 6.1

Not goodI cannot cancel my subscription !!!!.Version: 5.26

0 starsThis app is literally useless, can’t identify anything accurately. Used it on my cat and dog as a tester to see what it came up with and every time it would come up with the most random breeds, like an Alaskan Malamute for my spaniel puppy, or a sphynx cat for my Bengal lol. Whoever would spend any money on this or give this a good rating is crazy.Version: 1.9
