Inews: World News & Politics for Positive User Reviews

Love the I. Love having it on my phone.I have long enjoyed reading the I newspaper. I admire it’s even-handed stance and thoughtful columns - and, of course, it’s puzzles. I used to read it in the printed version, then on my husband’s iPad, but having just installed the app on my own phone, I now gave access to everything in my favourite newspaper wherever I am. Such a boon..Version: 3.1

Second ThoughtsI cancelled my subscription to cut out the paper copies and then I thought to save some money I shouldn't subscribe again. As a carer in my seventies and a carer for my daughter it is a problem, however I really missed keeping up with the news and however awful our politics and world issues are, I felt I needed to know what was going on. So yes I am a happy subscriber again!.Version: 3.4

Despite a years subscription newspaper unreadableI encountered a problem with the i app. So I deleted the App so that I could reload it afresh. Big mistake The app I get is not what I had and it will not recognise I have a subscription. So what now?.Version: 3.3

Digital SubscriptionCurrently trialling the I newspaper app and really like that you get live digital updates app type news as you'd expect, but also daily newspaper copy edition that you can scroll through with the feel of having bought the paper edition, really nice and easy to navigate. With Ian Dunt opinion pieces twice a week for subscribers what's not to like?.Version: 2.0

Different ClassIf you want to be well informed about the world and current affairs look no further than the i . Well written articles by articulate journalists who present news properly. Thus allowing the reader to be informed and enable them to make their own mind up. Bias is not in the DNA of this newspaper..Version: 3.4

Great app but miss the Scottish news.As a long time subscriber to the print edition I have recently changed over to a digital subscription for convenience. It works really well. The only downside is, as someone who lives north of the border, I miss the Scottish news as printed in the Cardonald produced edition. Is there any possibility of including that in a future update?.Version: 3.0

ReviewSo far very good plenty to read. Well laid out. Nice to sit and read in the evening. Keep up the good work..Version: 3.3

Could give it 5 stars in time….… but hassling me continually to rate it when I have just started using it!.Version: 3.3

Spot on News CoverageAlways see something that catches my eye, or appeals, best value impartial news coverage online won’t hesitate to renew next year when subscription expires.Version: 3.1

PrimaReally enjoyed reading this magazine on my tablet. The first time I’ve ever read a magazine online. So convenient..Version: 3.6

Independent newsGood to find a newspaper which is not tied to a political party and has some good columnists, puzzles and sport. There are some topics that need some good investigative journalism such as why is tidal power not on the agenda, what is stoping onshore wind farms, what does the West Midlands mayor actually do, the local transport is still rubbish, you never see a policeman, there is no decent road into Birmingham from the south, why don’t head teachers refuse to do some of the irrelevant paper work being foistered upon them by beaurocrats with nothing better to do etc etc..Version: 3.6

I have paid my subscription. Why is it asking me to pay again. Please answer.Version: 3.3

Straight to the point. The News just where you want it without loads of spin and propaganda. My favourite. Fits in with busy lifestyle.Version: 1.6.1

It’s good but the subscription is ridiculousThis app is alright however the subscription is the problem, I don’t understand why this app is fee paying for read an article. This is left wing politics, this newspaper should have free-to-read articles, not a subscription for seven quid, we’re in the middle of a financial crisis, people won’t paying for that because they haven’t got enough money to pay for other stuff. GET RID OF THE SUBSCRIPTION. NOW..Version: 3.3

Update neededI’ve just subscribed via an excellent offer because the i content is great… but the app is shockingly badly designed, it seems to be shaped for a phone rather than a tablet. I’m on the ipad..Version: 3.1

Good but please add dark mode!!!After being a long term Sky News reader, I left after feeling that it was incredibly biased towards controversy and doom news; being a degree student I wanted something more informative that would in term help me write better editorial assignments. I tried The Guardian but hated the £9.99/m paywall. As a student every penny counts. Finally found I News and omg what a fresh perspective on news and at £1.99/m what is not to love? Please bring the option to have dark mode enabled though!.Version: 3.6

Good but quick access to newspaper pages would be greatAlways liked the i paper. I’m trialling this on a cheap subscription atm. One slightly annoying thing is having to swipe through the entire paper to get to specific pages. Could there be an option to click which would allow the reader quickly to scroll through the pages to reach the article of interest? Oh I’ve just found it! Brilliant 🤩.Version: 3.1

Inews digitalI am really enjoying my new subscription to (I) digital. All the quality of regular articles in an easy to read just like a paper format Plus feature articles..Version: 3.1

I love the iI love the friendly, open tone, the intelligent, well argued range of articles, the commitment to a non showy non self-righteous ethical, human stance on key issues of climate change, Brexit, COViD, political corruption, Afghanistan, humanitarian aid at home and abroad. I could go on... My god, we need you. The paper gets better and better. . Thank you, editorial team and all your correspondents. Letters from the public too show real concern for engaging with so many aspects of the above. I for one applaud your honest reporting, striving for balance, but not afraid to express outrage where it is due. Phoebe Lambert.Version: 1.6

AbroadBought the digital package to use abroad as print version not sold where we are. Brilliant!.Version: 3.3

Brilliant 🤩This is SO good, much easier to use than I thought, and very convenient 😊.Version: 3.3

2024 Awarding newspaperThoroughly deserved. Great team of writers that are worth reading. I’d single out Patrick Cockburn as the pick of an excellent bunch. His critical analysis skewers egos and bypasses the spin to tell it like it really is..Version: 3.7

The best newspaper! If you are looking for a paper that is unbiased, allows the reader to make their own judgements and is supremely put together, the i is an absolute must. This paper deserves so much support and it is a first for me. I’ve stumbled across every paper, from The Sun to The Guardian and everything in between. This is the first paper that has captured me and made me fully loyal, due in part to the brief but brilliantly written articles but also the price point the i is set at. The fact that the i is only 5p more than the Daily Star and the same price as The Sun makes this the best value package you can buy today..Version: 2.0

Much betterA major improvement on the old app. Far quicker and easier to use with new content..Version: 2.0

Great news appReally enjoying this newspaper app. Includes access to the full newspaper but lots more beside as well as current, up to date news and features. The puzzles are good. Easy to save articles that you want to re-read at later date also..Version: 3.4

Review of i news appI loved the paper but stopped when COVID became a concern and switched to the i news online. It seems to have a lot less in it, and because news articles roll through but aren’t dated I can’t tell if its today’s news or yesterdays. The puzzles as ever are good, better than the paper version in fact, except there’s no Zygolex, and some days they seem slow to update them..Version: 1.3

DisappointedDifficult to navigate, stories not dated so unsure whether current and severely curtailed content.Version: 1.2

New formatDo not like this new layout makes m E not want to read most articles and thinking of cancelling. We prefer that this newspaper as a newspaper, NOT as a series of article headlines. That to us makes it look like a bit of trash. Thus if it continues to be in this format then we WILL NOT being renewing our subscription when it’s up for renewal..Version: 3.0

Mostly puzzlingI use the app mostly for the puzzles and for the most part it functions really well. Some of the features, however, can be a bit clunky. The skip letter feature on the crosswords does not alway work and sometimes you get stuck on the first letter if you have it from another word. The variety of puzzles available is great and you can store quite a few and do them offline which is probably my favourite feature!.Version: 3.1

Frustratingly disfunctional Log-InEvery month I pay my subscription, but despite this I’m consistently unable to log in properly. I’ve reported this but apparently they can’t find me on the system. I guess the only solution is to cancel everything and start all over again 😡.Version: 3.3

Where is the Mensa brain teaser?I was disappointed not to find the Mensa brain teaser which appears in the Weekend print version..Version: 3.8

Much better than the old versionFound the old version a bit clunky-this has new features and the page layout for editions is much easier to navigate..Version: 3.1
