Does the developer really believe that 30 dollars a month is a fair price?! It’s pure insanity. Apple Arcade costs 5 bucks a month and you get 100 games. For this price of 30 dollars a month, you get some different types of virtual slime. The developer must expect that some little kid with their parent’s credit card is going to buy this, because no one else would buy this. I really don’t understand how this app has a 4 star rating. If you, the developer want to make this right, make the person pay a one time fee of 2-5 dollars, because at its current price, I really don’t know how anyone could bring themselves to subscribe to this app. P.S. - This is not part of my review of the app directly, but is something I just want to talk about. These subscription apps are becoming more and more common, and it is extremely frustrating. They charge insane prices, like 8 dollars a week, or 30 dollars a month for apps that are usually mediocre at best. ✓ Predatory ads and subscription model scamThe app does what it says on the tin, it’s a basic slime simulator with (kind of gross) sounds and phone vibration to match. As an app I’d give it like 3/5, but my issue is with their predatory subscription model. There’s frequent ads asking to sign up for a “3 day free trial” of their premium version, which I guess would include more slimes? It’s obviously targeted at kids who don’t know any better, as the subscription is $50 a month, which is insane.
