Works for ChuangThe app is a bit buggy and only allows you to play some of the Chuang 2021 episodes. However the app is extremely buggy in the sense my Chuang voting and entire Chuang 2021 page tab are all in Thai. I have this issue on my iPad as well and don’t know why. I have redownloaded the app, restarted my phone and even made sure my systems language was set to english but it is still in Thai. I can still vote but it’s annoying to not be able to read anything..Version: 3.6.0

SubtitlesI have a VIP account that I haven’t been able to enjoy. There is a bug in the system somewhere. For at least a week now subtitles won’t show up. It doesn’t matter what show I try to watch no subtitles, and trying to push it doesn’t work either. I may cancel subscription. Beware.Version: 5.0.0

VIP Fasttrack issuesI’m a VIP member which has its perks but it’s hard to contact someone when you have issues with playing the videos. For example, VIP members can have access to extra episodes, but now they have come up with Fasttrack viewing. So on top of paying for VIP status, I paid an additional 99 cents for the next video in my series, only to receive a message that I couldn’t watch the video as it was being offered in my region. Of course, one isn’t notified until after the money is paid. Now I have to hope someone contacts me and I’ll get my refund or that somewhere along the line I can play the video. I’ve also noticed this week that many more dramas are not “offered in my region” now. I never saw this before and now I’ve seen it 3 times in about 2 days..Version: 3.6.0

Very dissatisfiedI have had the app for almost a year now and at first everything was great. Then they did an update to the app about a month ago and since then it had been awful. Most shows now say not available in my region. Even shows that I was in the middle of watching became unavailable. Since the update what few shows I could continue watching now are often interrupted saying the network is unstable to the point where a 45 minute show takes almost 2 hours to watch..Version: 3.6.0

Not good enoughI subscribed to VIP on the app because I want to watch Chinese anime but seems like it’s missing a lot of content compared to the Chinese version of the app. It doesn’t even have all the seasons. Is not even worth it unless it updates its content a bit more. I really regret paying them money for a show that does have the most up to day contents. TencentI love the app in general but recently during their Easter sale I purchased the membership for 1 year, it was like 50 or 80% off, so I got it for a little over $30. Not a bad deal but when I checked my subscription with apple it has it showing renewed for 3 months, with the plan to charge me $30 some dollars in July. The app itself at-least states that my membership was good til 2023 at least, but I had to cancel the subscription thru apple cause I couldn’t risk them trying to charge my card when I already paid for a year, I have told this issue to apple they refer me to Tencent. Beware VIP membershipI used to love this app. Great content. Worked just fine. Even signed up for vip membership. I would have given it four stars just because there are some clunky bits. But sometime in the last few months it stopped recognizing me as a vip member. I’ve tried logging out and in as suggested under troubleshooting. Nothing. I’ve tried deleting the app and reloading. Nada. I’ve tried cancelling my vip membership and repurchasing. Nothing seems to work. I’ve even tried turning off an add blocker. Argh! And combinations of methods to see if I could get vip back. No. Not happening. Even googled the issue. You know what? I’m not alone. Ha! VIP member purchasers………buyer beware. I tried on and off over the last few months to see if it would fix magically or if an update would take care of it. Tencent, if you can fix the issue, you’d have me back. Subtitles cut off and scenes skippedEvery few minutes or so, it skips a few seconds worth of scenes, so have to rewind back by 10 seconds to watch it. But then it happens again a few minutes later and have to rewind again. This happens in every single series I’ve watched. Also, if a subtitle is too long, it cuts off the sentence. I tried changing the subtitles settings on my phone but that makes no difference. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the app has a way to resize the subtitles. They’re pretty large on the screen hence the cut off..Version: 4.9.9

Honest reviewI like the app but could use a few modifications. I am a VIP customer. I used to have the app that said WETV ( which i didn’t have any problems) however a year ago… it said that one was no longer Available and it made me install this one Tencent video… which is fine except for here in America I’m not having access to certain dramas as i should per the WeTV English Instagram page and what’s being advised to my availability..Version: 4.3.5

Email vs appI bought the VIP for the monthly subscription for 5.99 a month and though it says 5.99 a month starting in april by the email i got from apple there is a totally different price in the app? its saying $99 for my next pay which i do not understand, otherwise i enjoy the app though i only bought it for three shows.Version: 3.6.0

App needs more workWhile it’s nice to access my shows and vip content, the app is cumbersome to navigate. Here are my suggestions: -Improve search: The search capabilities are really bad. It’s not intuitive at looking up related terms on the drama name or drama actors. I should be able to look up an actor’s filmography that is available to watch via the app. -VIP membership: the VIP membership page is very misleading. It shows that I have a vip subscription in small font, but right underneath it it’s telling me to purchase a vip subscription. When I check my subscription settings it shows me different expirations dates for my membership and different prices on the renewal price. -App Home screen categories/channels: on the Home Screen, I see 4 options: Home, Exclusive, Romance, and Costume. I think it would be better to add more categories such as Contemprary, Drama, or even Latest Releases. In addition, it would good to add a more visible section on shows that may be releasing in the near future..Version: 3.4.2

Half the series are not available in regionI’ve loved this app for the couple of months i’ve had it but i started having issues when the app got the new update, all of a sudden half if not almost all the series are now suddenly not available in my region even the once’s i’ve been watching since before, i sincerely liked this app but I’m done with it until this issue is resolved..Version: 3.6.0

VIPIs it so hard to fix the subs ? I’m begging you for over a week now please fix your subs settings for English. Subs subs subs they disappear, English subs nor other subs are not available in this app. If you update your app at least put some competent people to fix it right? App is excellent BUT subtitles don’t work in latest updateGreat app, with excellent content and easy setup/access. Have been using it for a long time with no issues. However latest update has a problem with the subtitles. None can be seen/used regardless of language chosen! This is in all shows/categories - so not a region issue. So buggy!Glad I didn't sign up for VIP before testing out the app. Began watching but the video would randomly skip ahead a few seconds every few minutes or so - very annoying to have to go back every time to see what I might've missed. Then, sometimes a spinning wheel would replace the video, but audio was still running, and the only way to stop this would be to quit the app and reopen it. I’ve BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT!I’ve been trying to access my VIP! I’ve sent several emails across my devices. No response. Keeps says email not valid. I used to be able to access without any problems. Amateur endeavor and no customer supportThe videos are OK but the software is so bad it makes you want to cry. The search function is a joke but the Watch History is so bad it that the developers should be taking behind the wood shed. Imagine, you start to watch a TV series but stop for a while. You return and the watch history is gone. You’re forced to relocate the show and search for where you left off. That is no easy task since scrolling through a video is quite slow. And that happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. Complaining to customer support (if you can even find it) is a waste. You’ll simply be ignored. Be smart. Just ignore this joke of a service. Non existent customer serviceBeen a user of theirs for a short while. Noticed login issues for VIP members. Button on app don’t allow u to login or sync with mobile device. Sent message to support via FB. Still no reply after two days. Other issues the app will present problems always days before expiration. Not goodI don’t know if it’s a bug or what but most videos have an error message saying it’s not available in my region. I reported one, and I was able to watch it eventually but I’m not willing to report every show I want to watch. Plus, there are issues with the search retrieval. Fix the app pls!Thankfully I haven’t paid for VIP, but it looks like ever since the latest version update, my account (and it looks like many others as well) has been linked to a Thai server and all my titles are now in Thai, and English subs are not even an option. No subtitles!! What the heckI would like to continue to subscribe to this channel but I can no longer get the subtitles on my TV. I’ve tried over and over again I click on subtitles I click on English, but nothing works. I have Apple TV device and have watched it the past with no problems till I’m contacted by them knowing that the subtitle is fixed I will no longer pay for a prescription. no response. Take days to reset passwordEvery 3 months is the same story some how my password don’t work and when try to reset pass it take days to get an email to try to watch my face shows. Is really a royal pain they charge my card first get my money and then do not recognize my password make me reset but like always something went wrong and try again in few days 🤦🏽‍♀️. Terrible AppI’m appalled by the quality of this app considering Tencent is such a big company. I’ve had seriously problem getting the VIP access to work even after I paid and the App Store confirmed that I have a current subscription. The app has no adequate FAQ that would help you troubleshoot these problems, kept referencing to contact customer service when a contact number or email is nowhere to be found..Version: 4.7.7

Fix your appsIt’s so infuriating, I don’t even know why I pay for VIP. Nothing new shows up on the app, only the same few dramas and variety shows are the only ones available. I click on latest and a message pops up and says no data, I click on drama…no data. Please fix your apps, because none of the newly airing dramas show up. VIP subscription not working?I initially downloaded this app for a few shows I wanted to watch and was able to watch a few eps and then shown the vip options so I thought I’d purchase it. Well, it doesn’t ever go past the little buffering circle. Lags and crashingSo the only other time i used this was for manner of death cause love me some maxtul. anyways it worked fine when i used it then but i’m currently watching en of love: love mechanics and since this is the official way to stream i decided to give it a go but literally its so bad. it’ll stop in the middle of it and the screen will go black and ads pop up out of nowhere when the screen turns black and i have to restart the app. also sometimes it lags and skips a few minutes by itself. and you may think oh it’s probably my wifi but no this is the only app it happens with i literally used iqiyi this morning and it was perfectly perfect. it’s making me really upset since i really want to finish love mechanics but honestly this app is really frustrating me..Version: 5.1.0

Issue with last updateEver since the update five days ago subtitles don’t show up on my TV when I cast. The only way to watch the show with subtitles now is on my phone. But on my phone every few minutes the video skips about two seconds and then the subtitles disappear. If I rewind the subtitles come back but this happens every approx 5 minutes. It’s hard enough to enjoy the show on my phone and it gets interrupted every five minutes or so. I was actually considering upgrading to VIP for the special content but now it’s too glitchy..Version: 4.9.3

App needs better integration with Apple.Signing up and paying with Apple ID was only possible with the English app. I couldn’t use wechat to sign up on the Chinese app perhaps because I can’t pay via wechat in the US. Instructions not clear. Once I paid ViP membership via Apple ID I cannot sign on using Apple TV and instead had to mirror from phone to TV. While Tencent has good content, the app makes it a pain to use on Apple TV. Support for my Samsung TV is non existent. I’m not interested in watching TV on handheld device or laptop..Version: 5.1.0

Bad bugsI paid for the VIP membership. It was working fine up until the beginning of this year. Now I can’t watch any VIP programs that I already paid for, because it says it cannot verify my membership. I’ve complained several times and no fix. I won’t be renewing. I highly suggest not paying for VIP. You will only be denied access. Such a shame. It used to be an app I used often. Now I can even get it to open without reloading it..Version: 5.6.4

Do Not Buy VIP in USI paid $56 for VIP in California on my iPad to watch the series. But I cannot sync my account on my Apple TV. Very frustrating! I feel that Tencent cheated out of me on VIP. So don’t both subscribe when you cannot watch it on Apple TV. In Apple subscription, it tells me I subscribe to it for an annual fee. So when you install the same app on Apple TV, it should automatically sync. Instead Tencent Apple TV app ask you to log in via Mobile app which I tried but does not work. I wasted my money. VIP Content Good, Technical Issues PersistLots of good content to choose from including excellent donghua. The issues of subtitles that come and go was a problem four to six months ago but not now. My biggest complaint is that there is not stored memory of where I left off. When I stop and go back in, even if I start at the end of an episode, when it rolls to the next one it always takes it back to episode one. Error with videos not availableI downloaded the app specifically for about 10 shows I knew were on it. I initially downloaded it and realized there was a VIP version I had to purchase to watch newer series. I opted to purchase it and began watching with no problem. A week later during which I watched some shows when I log onto the app the videos I’m clicking on are all telling me “not available in your region” I’ve reported a few but it’s extremely frustrating to try and report them all. Also I have not gotten a response as to what the issue is. I paid money for an app I can’t even use now. On top of that it’s extremely sporadic and i can watch one episode of a show but it won’t let me watch previous episodes which defeats the purpose as I won’t watch newer ones with out having seen the previous. Glitches While WatchingI do want to say I’m grateful to be able to watch the shows I want relatively hassle free… however, the app totally glitches out during episodes. It’ll jump ahead several seconds, which will disable subtitles; if I scrub back, it will usually bring the subtitles back, but sometimes, it just won’t, and I need to restart the app. Sometimes, subtitles just stop even without the skipping and just don’t come back, so again, I either have to rewind back a bit, or restart the app..Version: 4.9.6

Not liking new updateJust update the app today and I gotta say, video freezes for a few seconds but audio still going. Once it catches up, I’ve missed like 15-30 seconds of a scene. Subtitles won’t turn onEverything look ok and plays just fine for being in the U.S. but it showing most if not all of the titles and other thing in the app in Thai/English and the subtitles won’t turn no. You’re stuck with free content even if you paid for VIPFirstly DO NOT PAY FOR VIP!!! App will not recognize you paid. Paid for VIP year subscription, but the app will not recognize that I paid already for the service through apple which is what it offers. Emailed WeTv support . Not a single person has reached back out. Also see that the TV app does not let you sign in AT ALL, so you are again stuck with free content ONLY..Version: 5.0.7

BuggyI watch on my Samsung tv. Every new episode has subtitles appearing at the top of the screen. You have to exit the episode and re-enter to fix. Then most times, it doesn’t keep track of your episode progress. You can’t tell which dramas are new. So you really only watch the app when you can search for a title or it’s a featured title. The synopsis of the shows aren’t that good. They have sooooo many good dramas but they are not prioritizing the user experience it seems. It makes me want to stream on other apps..Version: 5.10.0
