✓ Deleted your app todayI wake up every morning to read the news and weather everyday for years but not anymore. Since the update you seem to think people want to read your ads. Well guess what they don’t. This app is cluttered with ads and then a story here and there. Plus it drains your battery with background activity all day long, even if you shut off background activity on your phone. NBC4 is no better but at least I can find article’s to read. ✓ Stops opening articlesMost of the time, this app is pretty good, especially the Verify section. However, after about 3 articles, it suddenly stops opening articles and just has a buffering-type circle and just sits there, not opening anything. ✓ Deleted the app todayI have to echo other users; no matter what settings you choose, this thing is a epic battery eater. Waaaaaaay too many ads (tiktok? Really?). The videos stutter and restart multiple times. The articles constantly jump trying to load ad content. There’s an ADA angle here, if I were visually impaired this jumping would be brutal. I was a habitual 10TV app user and really liked the simplicity of the old app. I gave the new version time for sanding off the rough edges, but time’s up, y’all. The reviews written should be on the app not 10TV news, their news is great, the new app is very very bad and a walk back from the previous version. The ratings appear rigged. One day the average rating is 1.6, now the average is 4.3. Someone appears to be stuffing the ballet box. This even though almost all written reviews are highly negative. ✓ Tough navigation to multiple sections.Adding to my previous post..... after a few days, I find more and more of which to be critical. Yes, the ads are cumbersome. Too many ‘clicks’ to find worthwhile content, etc. Also, while I appreciate being ‘greeted’, I don’t need the 3-4 second delay caused by the app saying ‘Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening’. ✓ 10 TV SHOULD BE ASHAMEDApp is horrible way to many ads, I get more ads the news articles I’m able to read without the page jumping all around from loading new ads. Very difficult to navigate. This is no longer a news source seems more like an ad source!! I uninstalled the app and won’t be using it any longer until they make huge improvements and get rid of all of the ads.. if they ever do this was my only new source app I used guess I gotta start looking. ✓ Worst app on my phoneThis latest update is absolutely horrible. Who in the world approved this? He or she should be fired, along with the designer of the app. Too many ads. Not enough news. And then the same stories repeat and repeat as you scroll, just in different font and/or size. ✓ Worst update everDid some 4 year old win an app design contest? Oh wait. A 4 year old could make a better app than this, why don’t you go and interview one and get some ideas. You could cover yourselves with advertisement stickers and walk around looking just as dumb as this app. I wake up. I open 10TV news. Every day. One day it said I had to download new app, I thought okay... nothing wrong with old one however maybe this will be even more amazing. It’s exact opposite. I click on story to read, and while I’m scrolling on my phone, I end up tapping an ad. The ad opens my internet browser which isn’t what I wanted. So I have to close that, go back to 10TV and now the page I was on is either different or it’s jumped to a different part of the page and I have to partially re-read to find my place again. Either that or I end up reading the end of the article and it spoils the journalists story. Shame on you 10TV. Thanks for forcing me to go to NBC4 which isn’t much better than this crap but at least it doesn’t open 10 windows on my phone that wasn’t intended. ✓ I can’t evenI love 10tv and I’ve had this App since 2009. However this new version is horrible. It’s slow, lags and drains my battery. I don’t care for the layout either it’s hard to navigate. ✓ Works ok on iPad Pro but not so good on iPhone 10At least once a day and usually more when switching stories or categories, it just gives me the white screen with the blue spinning circle in the middle. The only way to fix the problem is to shut off the phone. The iOS software is always current and my wireless is very fast at 200 megabits. All that shows is a single screen which one has to scroll to another screen,, blindly trying to find subjects of interest. The old app had multiple windows and a pull down menu. ✓ Works for a while then freezesI have not been a fan of this app since the redesign, I preferred the old format with all news in one feed instead of creating sections. But my main issue is after I’m on the app for 5-10 minutes it freezes and will not open additional headlines. I have to then close the app and reopen but typically it annoys me so I do not bother. Lucky for 10TV all other local tv news apps are worse than theirs so I’ve continued to use it but keep looking for other options for local news.
