✓ Pointless on iPadI read the previous reviews but downloaded in case the devs had updated. Was pleasantly surprised to see an article in landscape, but then tried a video and..yeah..portrait. Pretty useless on iPad.Version: 2.3.3

I go in my browser and go to AJ English and guess what…., I am not longer offline?? I have no problems with any other 100 or so apps that I have. ✓ App is not functionalI’ve downloaded this app twice and it never seems to leave the same screen ,Which is asking me to turn on the notifications. I have an iPhone 12 mini and the screen just stays on the same message that says to enable notifications ..there’s no button button to select notifications. I also cannot get to the front page or receive the news on this app. The old APP was much better. Now I don’t have access to the AlJazeera app on my phone as it doesn’t function properly with my Iphone12.Version: 4.7.0

✓ So Biased - Sad to Call Yourselves JournalistsThis publication is very biased. Not even handed on Israeli-Hamas situation. Hamas is a terrorist organization plain and simple. They are inhuman butchers. Terrorist take civilian hostages. Why do Arab countries not take Palestinians into their own countries? Israel is not responsible for the constantly attacking Palestinians - rich Arab countries are. Why, in world protests, do we not see condemnation of Hamas on placards? Israel is a reality. The misery being witnessed is because Hamas, and others, supported by the Palestinian people, went too far this time. Forget a 2 state solution now, unless Palestinians renounce Hamas, recognize Israel, and work towards a lasting, respectful peace..Version: 4.6.0

✓ Why You Tube?This used to be my preferred news app but now if I click on a story it opens up a default video link to You Tube in addition to the written story and there seems to be no setting to shut off the link. As such I’ve quit using the app and just use the website..Version: 3.0.0
✓ Much slower to use the new blue iPad appI am gradually learning to view the pictures and read the text with the top of the picture always swinging round to be on the left of my screen. Even when I use the app switcher to try to close the new Aljazeera app the whole screen stays rotated 90 degrees to the left. ✓ Opinionated whining…After using this app for the last 3 hrs, I just had to delete the app today. They had come a cross a few opinion based articles in the past but the one that viewed this morning was the absolute worst most biased one I’ve ever read. I don’t want an article that’s just an entire b-ch session about how much he dislikes a US candidate running for office on a news media outlet who’s goal is to talk about the facts & information. If I wanted biased news, I’d download any of the other US news outlet apps like MSNBC etc. Bishara, you should consider CNN they seem to prefer whining in the articles they post..Version: 2.8.0

✓ Bad user experienceI find reporting very good but the user experience on reading the articles on iPad is very poor. Firstly the app only offers landscape mode which is a bit of bother but tolerable. What I find really annoying is the style of navigation whilst reading an article. That is, as you’re reading and scrolling thru an article, an inadvertent touch of screen will jump you to another article altogether or closes the article and take you back to previous screen, both completely distracting you from immersive reading..Version: 3.0.1

✓ More stable - Could do with some UI preferencesMuch more stable in iPhone 11 compared to the old app. I rarely used the old one cause it would crash my phone and had broken scrolling behavior. Resolved in this one. Text is quite large though, I’m not a pensioner I don’t need supersized font. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere to tweak the UI. Does support dark mode which is good.
