✓ Try apple note app Instead of this. Long time userWriting this review to inform all user that the old version of this app was just abandoned. I’m writing this review to simply express my displeasure with the developer decision. I have use NOTE PLUS app for almost ten years and I simply had all my college notes for 6 years. I was still hoping for the developer to update but after seeing this version I realized that the old app has been abandoned. My advice is if your planning to use your iPad as primary source note taking. DO NOT USE THIS app, I would rather use apple Note app. At least you can expect them to support it for a long time The best feature this app is simply the writing. It’s extremely natural and I really enjoyed writing only on this app. First time using this app it crashed immediately after trying to change the Page Setting Measurement already disappointed. I still bought it to give the developer a second chance I’m hoping to simply get my point across. Do not abandon your apps. People use for lively hood..Version: 1.2
✓ Deleted notesMy notes suddenly got deleted with no way to really recover them. I want a refund for my wasted time. The tools might be decent but I only got the pro version for the higher and extra colour options. Not worth it if my notes suddenly get deleted.Version: 1.3
✓ Big Customization IssueSignificant issue in the customization of templates. I keep notebooks for work and I customize the lined pages so that the page size is that of a regular sheet of paper (8.5x11). I have always (with the previous version) had zero issues with this customization. With the new app however, when I go to customize the template and tap on the page measurement to edit, the app crashes. With the previous app, I was easily able to bring bugs to the attention of the developer by selecting an option within the app and the response was rapid. But now I am unable to locate an option to report an issue. The app, which I paid for because I was happy with the previous version, is of no value to me if I can’t make these adjustments. And the adjustments are clearly meant to be available to users, but it crashes the app. Please fix this issue..Version: 1.7

✓ Not happy and frustrating experienceI just can’t find a user guide on how to use the features on iPad. - it gives me option to create notebook in my OneDrive folder, when I create one it either does not open and if it opens I can only see a blank screen - how do set up my syncing and back up of docs to one drive ? Right now I see one drive folder when I open notes plus x but with read only access . In short - if you are marketing note taking features please also ensure you have guides or videos showing how to exploit those features Lastly, I purchased the bundle but figuring what is the difference notes plus vs notes plus x and if x is the latest version why bother selling notes plus to first time buyers - The joy of writing experience in INKredible was negated by experience of just figuring these basics . ✓ Can’t get my previous notebooks into this one properlyThere is a tool to import all your notebooks from the previous app to this one, but it is not importing all the notebooks, and it is importing some several times. Also some of the files are importing but not into the right folder. Most importantly it is not recognizing or bringing in the main notebook I write in, so until I can import it correctly I will have to go back to the previous version. The app itself is great overall I’m sure, since it has the features of the old one which is the only note app I will use — I’ll just wait till the bugs are ironed out..Version: 1.0
✓ Not betterI spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out how to import from the old version and when I did it was automatically imported to the cloud. It didn’t ask me if I wanted my stuff there. I used to sync with drop box but that doesn’t seem to be an option anymore. I opened a notebook with embedded sounds that I made long ago and I couldn’t find them. The .caf files were not even copied over. I see a lot of other features missing. The writing feels marginally smoother which is good because it had been lagging severely. I thought it was my old iPad but the app named “paper” is extremely responsive to writing. I’d expect an upgrade to have at least as many features as the last, not simply be a re-skin. I’m disappointed..Version: 1.0
✓ The old version is betterNo more having the pad that you can bring up to stop palm rejection, the only way to write is in close up mode. Import is broken. And really there’s 0 style change from the old app. If anything old app has more customization. You can’t use any functions when not in close up mode except scroll and zoom. ✓ Pales in comparison with the old versionThis may have been “rewritten”, however it’s still looking far too much like a beta version. I’ve tried, but there are too many bugs for me to persist in trying to get it to work. I don’t have time to be a software tester, I need the app to work, as advertised, on demand. I simply cannot lose notes or be forced to stuff-around with buggy software. Importing of existing notes doesn’t work. Can’t seem to get OneDrive working properly. Close-up writing has to be selected from a menu Save your money and stick with the old version (or one of the other popular writing apps). This app isn’t worth your time or your money..Version: 1.14
✓ A little dissapointedDefinitely not much better than the old version of Notes Plus. I think the old one is still better. Even some gestures like holding pressure to open zoom view disappeared and now you need to access to it through looking in options. I also miss the customizable options bar for easier access to tools..Version: 1.0
✓ File corruption upon importI’ve been using the old Notes Plus app extensively and thought it would be a good idea to move on to the newer one. How wrong I was! Upon transition the old files get wiped and converted into new ones that superficially look the same. However, when I had to re-edit some, I spotted random missing hand-written text, characters or symbols on nearly every page. Decorated in addition with some random lines going criss-cross over the pages that one cannot select or delete. Sadly there was no way back, so I tried fixing the files. But only to eventually realise that Notes Plus X does not save them. Spinning wheel forever after some changes have been done, both for files in the cloud and for those stored locally. Force-quitting Notes Plus X after some minutes and then restarting did not help. All the errors are back, no corrections saved. It would be a good idea for the developer to provide a utility to resurrect the old files from the new npx files. And if it’s not too late, do not convert any of your old files!.Version: 1.14
✓ Super buggy, hand writing kept disappearingI have been try to tolerate and hoping to get this bug fixed for a few months now. when i write, the app sometimes stop seamlessly acknowledging the pencil and i only get chunks of it written the other times the zoom option resizes the page while writing another issue is deletion gesture sometimes does work and the writing stays in its place for a while… are there any patches coming soon? if not please give me my money back.Version: 1.14
✓ Horrible Changes from OriginalI have used Notes Plus for many years and I could not despise this version more. This app is much buggier, with less functionality and significantly reduced ease of use. Hopefully these things will be changed but as it stands I am beyond disappointed in this change, and it seems I will have to be searching for a new writing app if they stop updating the original..Version: 1.1

✓ Paste from clipboard issuesI was excited to see the new version of Notes Plus be released. But after using it now for a month or two I would almost rather have the beta version back. My biggest issue is pasting from the clipboard. The first problem is, you cannot edit the text once it’s pasted. In the beta version you could. But the second problem has been happening just the last couple days or so. When I paste from the clipboard to the document I am unable to resize or move the object. At that point the program freezes up. I can’t get beyond this. It’s getting pretty frustrating. I might even consider using another app..Version: 1.1
✓ Sad to see it loosing its attentionI have bought all the apps both on IPad and Google Play. I like supporting this developer. I love the way the pens write. I’m appreciating the use of the built in file management of iPad OS. This version has more of a alpha build than anything. The most important function - importing documents always stuck at zero. I mean how do you work a document you can’t import? Also, when you create a new document, you have to go back to the main screen then click into the document for it to load and allow you to proceed. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes you’ll take notes and when you reopen the document it’s blank. Makes it currently unreliable and therefore unusable. ✓ Bad experienceI have been using iPad writing apps to redline drawings , for a long time I was using notes plus and that start wired by shutting the app abruptly so I purchased notes plus x which worked fine for couple of days and then all of a sudden the drawings I import doesn’t show up correctly and I cannot backup the files I have worked. This is hours and hours of work if someone can help resolve the issue that will be great..Version: 1.7

Just upgraded to Notes x and I can’t even get started, as several of the documents imported from Notes Plus just cause Notes Plus X to crash or hang with no response. ✓ UnusableAfter using Notes Plus for many years, I thought this would be a nice upgrade. It is not. Every time I open a new folder it locks and will never return. All I see is a dimmed screen. I'm sure I can't get my money back, but I can warn you from my same mistake. There are other, less sinister warnings, like unresponsiveness and actions/menu options that just take me back to the main notebook menu. Those are trivial compared to working on a document for a while only to have it disappear from this universe. I own a brand new iPad Air 2 and am using an Apple Pencil. I also have a Logitech combo keyboard, but I don't use it for Notes Plus or X..Version: 1.14
✓ Love_it_but_glitchyI have been using Notes plus for almost 5 years. I really liked the app and used it daily. HOWEVER upgrading to NotesX has been a disappointment. I have stuck withit for 8-10 months, expecting that the bugs and glitches would be worked out. Some have, but there still consistent ones, and MOST concerning occasional “crashes” where you can loose a page or two of notes. This is not often, but is not acceptable, esp. if they are not recoverable. I am likely to go back to NotesPlus, which my wife still uses. But it is frustrating as imported all my notebooks into NotesX and there does not seem to be a way to take them back. I am running it on a new ipad 8 (or was new when I upgraded to Notes X). ✓ Incomprehensible file sharing interfaceWhat I thought would be an improvement over Notes Plus (because now has the ability to import from OneDrive and Google Drive) was lost because the ability to export marked up docs back is error-prone and confusing. ✓ DO NOT GET THIS APP OR NOTES PLUSI got this app thinking it would be an improvement from notes plus; paying $11 for both. For $11 you would think the app wouldn’t be as glitchy as it is. Both notes plus apps are SO GLITCHY it makes it SO HARD to take notes for school. If you wanted a note taking app DO NOT waste your money on this. I will write an entire word and it will be there for a second and then the app will just delete it and i’ll have to keep rewriting it which I don’t have time for because i’m trying to keep up in class. Or I will try to write something over and over again and it won’t show up and i’ll have to stop for a minute and then all of a sudden it will work again. You can’t import word documents, nor powerpoints which is annoying since you have to convert them to PDF first. There are more glitches I just don’t even feel like wasting my time typing this anymore since I already wasted $22 on these apps..Version: 1.8
✓ X not a replacement for the older versionFrom an everyday user standpoint the older Note Plus is a better app than X. Perhaps it was a feat to provide the features in X, but I miss several features such as a long tap on the page to bring up the close-up window, the file structure, the general appearance, the drawing elements and everything else that is focued towared getting things from the brain to the digital paper through the (Apple) pencil. The X version targets a different audience. I’m sticking with the old version, but fear that it will evaporate. ✓ Cash GrabI have been using Notes Plus for YEARS, and was excited about a new version. The program is still the same great note taking, good text recognition and responsive handwriting. And Lots of features. Why then one star? After using the “new” version extensively, there are no “new” features. It has all of the same features and the one I had previously. Still has the same persnickety behavior when trying to advance the page with pencil or finger… you end up drawing a line half the time. So the developer is ten dollars richer, and I am ten dollars poorer because I paid for something I already have. Last time I blindly purchase an upgrade because I trusted the developer. ✓ CrashesCrashes when you open the templates and this newer version doesn’t seam to have password protect, which is a shame because there is so much potential for the app, the hand writing gestures are incredible, the ink styles are amazing, and the new templates make it better than he first version, (I bought both in a bundle) but the lack of password protection and the constant crashing makes me nervous to invest time in my writing as it may crash and I could loose my work. If support can address these issues it could be a good app, but if not, I’d recommend looking at alternatives. I’ll update this review if the problems are addressed..Version: 1.10
✓ Only good thing is handwriting looks decentIf it weren’t for the handwriting engine on this note taking app I would never use it. It is very buggy and completely lacks some of the features of other note taking apps. Typed text can’t be moved and reverts back to previous font settings randomly. ✓ If it’s not broken don’t fix itI’ve had the original Note Plus which I love and thought the upgrade would be greater, WRONG. They should have left it alone. I use an Apple Pencil and when you double tap on the old version, it brings up your ink options but the plus X brings up the eraser which is useless, given that the eraser shortcut is right there. It lacks the option to select your notebook color and when you import from the original note plus, it messes up you whole arrangement. It crashes frequently and the opacity of the ink is not as appealing as the original; albeit the fact I’m using the exact font, color and dimensions. If I could get my money back I would but it is what it is. Very disappointed in this version. If the developers can merge the formats etc. of either notebook, they can retire one and have a brilliant final product. The merge is not really a merge. ✓ Feature-filled app also brimming with bugsThis app is an absolute delight when it works---smooth, versatile, and customizable---but I've just opened one of my notebooks to find that 10 or so pages have been COMPLETELY wiped and the template of those pages changed to a bunch of horizontal lines, spaced 10 pixels apart. There doesn't appear to be any way to recover the content of those pages, and adding this to the app's myriad other bugs (letters disappearing as they're written, the inability to select multiple pages for deletion at a time in iOS 15, occasional crashes, etc.), it's become pretty much unusable. This app needs some serious fixes ASAP, and until all of these bugs are exterminated (especially the loss of content, which is UNACCEPTABLE in a notebook app), I'd highly recommend against its purchase..Version: 1.5

While I could get used to the new interface and redesigned file system, when I was importing my old notes plus files to the new program, all of them became corrupted, with the first one or two or three pages of each file lost. ✓ I’ve tried hard to like this versionI have been using Notes Plus since my first iPad 10 years ago and have loved it. I have persisted to use this version and just don’t feel like it’s as good as previous versions. I use the “Show Closeup” feature a lot with the old version as it was simply there on my toolbar. Now i have to go through the menu to find it. I also find that as my hand moves along when writing, that random words disappear and I am yeeted to another part of the page/document. ✓ Must be a beta versionNotes Plus is a very nice product. I just purchased this new version and am about to go back to the old. The new version has a nicer file management interface but almost everything else appears to work the same just not yet refined. The reason I am about to go back to the old is because while editing a PDF it keeps jumping back to previous pages. for example, I have page 57 displayed. I’m able to do hand writing with an Apple Pencil on page 57. If I switch to Text input, it jumps back to page 54. Also, if I convert the handwriting to text and edit the converted text, it bounces back a couple of pages after every word I type. It’s clearly still a $9.99 beta. Also the show close up functionality from Notes Plus is not working for me in this new version. There’s an option under Action Items to show close up. However when I tap it nothing happens. ✓ TerribleThis app needs some help. I switched over from the older version and half my stuff got deleted. When I try and create a new note book and try to name it, it instantly crashes. Also when you try and use the search function on it it instantly crashes. I really like the new updates pages but this app as it stands it is not usable. It went straight to its iCloud Drive folder, and from there, I have no clue where the functionality is. ✓ At first use of Notes Plus X (zero stars)I am a long time user of Notes Plus. Notes Plus is and has always been an excellent writing app. Notes Plus is a feature rich app, all of the features are useful. The feature that is most useful to me is the ability to use the “IN APP BROWSER” The “IN APP BROWSER” helped me with taking notes from text books, without having to carry the actual text book. Viet Tran, you have to put this feature back in, or, continue to support Notes Plus, along with all the other features of Notes Plus. Also the file structure of notes plus x is no good, the file structure of Notes Plus allowed more security, and is self contained. Man, Notes Plus is an excellent app, but notes plus x is a down-grade from Notes Plus. I did purchase notes plus x, however i will still use Notes Plus until the breaks fall off. ✓ My favorite note-taking app now eats my notes.This app is not ready for release. I just lost a second set of notes. App crashed and all pages now blank. I'll be going back to the original app, which (fortunately) I have not deleted. There are lots of new features that I like, but I can't risk my notes again. I'll try back in 6 months and hope the bugs are worked out. I love this app. It's the best note-taking app I have found. But, I can't risk using the new version any longer. ✓ App Crashes and Can’t Import PDFsUsed the original Note Plus app for years and over time more glitches/problems came up, so I decided to upgrade to NotesPlus X hoping for minimal issues and am disappointed to find this isn’t the case. The new app is even less functional than the current app. The app crashes whenever I try to delete a page from an existing notebook, or mark-up slightly large PDFs. Also, I’m not sure if I’m missing it or not, but it seems I cannot import a PDF into an existing notebook, which is one of the main reasons I purchased the app to begin with. ✓ Constantly Crashes-UnusableI have used Note Plus for years and enjoyed its utility and features. The new version is completely unusable. It crashes within seconds of opening. Their response below: I'm sorry for the encountered issue. We found out the issue of Notes Plus X by using other clouds (Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.) except iCloud. We're currently working hard to find a better solution for that issue and hopefully, we could release the support to other clouds in the next version 1.2.Version: 1.1
