✓ Love the content but the app is buggyTimes Radio keeps me informed and entertained. One of my few gripes is that the App can be very bug ridden, it can jump about often with the live show jumping back hours to a section I had been listening to earlier. Some of the adverts are really irritating but this doesn’t dissuade me from being a listener..Version: 42.0.0
✓ Annoyingly AdictiveFrom day one I liked the early fresh approach from Times Radio, having become tired of the set agenda of Radio 4. It’s been disappointing to see Times Radio slipping back at times into Radio 4 mode, stimulating barbed comments from me, especially when there is clear political bias from certain quarters. I think they have banned my messages being read out - even the nice ones! Having said all that, as news presented in a human way, there’s nothing out there that’s better, at the moment that is. I’d love the resource to create one though. Wouldn't it be an opportunity for a station to genuinely seek to price real solutions together for the many issues we have in the UK, rather than seeking to create and wallow in issues?.Version: 40.0.0

✓ Like content but app feels immatureLove the content, often listen at night. The app is thin on features which in itself need not be a bad thing and a little simplicity is refreshing. That is until the feature wanted isn’t there: I could not find a cast button so no way to play using Chromecast on my non-smart TV..Version: 4.1.1
✓ An intelligent upgrade alternative to Radio 4Time Radio is a welcome alternative to the the declining content and presentation of Radio 4. The morning show in particular is lively, entertaining and informative. During the day they seem to have attracted high quality contributors and the general content is excellent. ✓ Great station, but app skips backA couple of times within every hour the programme jumps back, it may be a couple of seconds or it may be 20. So you end up listening to the same bits twice. This makes some stories difficult to follow as it can take time to realise that it’s jumped. I wonder how far behind I would be if I had the station on for 24 hours as it is a regular happening? It hasn’t stopped me listening but it would be great if they could fix it..Version: 36.1.3

✓ AasmahCouldn’t disagree more with previous review - Aasmah is a breath of fresh air and has the best laugh on radio. Partnership with Stig is a welcome antidote to the rather po-faced Today programme. However, why can’t I get TR consistently on my iPhone? Radio4 always available but TR is very hit and miss. ✓ Landscape please!For a while now 5 Live has been going out of its way to pick really awful “yoof” presenters as they try to appeal to a younger demographic. They either have little personality or terrible sounding voices. Thank goodness then for LBC and Times Radio! I just wish the Times had an iPad version - come on devs!.Version: 1.5.3
✓ Cuts outI used to listen frequently to Times Radio using this app. Recently it has been cutting out after a minute or two. I have to shut down the app and re-open it only for it to cut out again. Same happens if streaming via Alexa or direct from your website. My go to radio station if I wake in the night or listen at breakfast time is now unusable. I live in a DAB black hole. ✓ Great radio station. Awful App!The app struggles if you do anything else on your phone. Listen to ANY other sound enabled source on your phone and then come back to the App and it has crashed, requires a reboot and hopefully it will work again. ✓ Times Radio - what’s not to love!I love the in-depth coverage of the most important stories. I also love the way the presenters stamp their own personalities on their shows. And I love the way they are up for a laugh, and don’t take themselves too seriously, when a lighthearted comment is appropriate. My favourite presenter is Ayesha Hazarika for her incisive questions and the comedy slot on Saturdays, which looks back in humour at the last week’s top stories with two fellow comedians - I often laugh out loud! It achieves balance by - surprise, surprise- having balanced presenters. Hugo Rifkind on Saturday mornings is the best thing to happen to weekend listening in years. ✓ Crash crash drain drainGood radio content and presenters let down by an app that crashes several times an hour and drains the power of your (new) phone battery. Link to provide feedback doesn’t work Update: The app developers listen and act! They appear to have fixed the annoying crash habit. Now have uninterrupted access to quality radio that is a welcome alternative to the increasingly annoying options elsewhere. ✓ Constantly giving me the news I wantI love Radio 4, but now I split my attention between Times Radio and Radio 4. I think this is very healthy competition - I will list to radio 4 in the morning 7 to 8, and 5 to 6.30 - then I’m Times Radio all the time in my down time and when I’m cooking etc. Good quality material 👍.Version: 43.0.1

✓ Amazing app; Quality contentFirst of all congratulations to the creators and presenters of Times radio which is such a breath of fresh air in these times. I was bored or listening to Radio 5 and LBC got really depressing hence was searching for an alternative and got really surprised by this new addition. Haven’t stopped listening since I started the very first time. The content is superb, balanced viewpoints and diversity in topics being discussed. No problems with the app so far. ✓ Bias! What bias?How refreshing to listen to interviews with guests from all sides of the political argument with no hint of bias from the interviewer. You inform, educate and entertain brilliantly. What a contrast with other broadcasters. I never want to know, or even assume the political inclinations of the interviewer which only clouds the information the guests bring to the programme and which divides your audience. ✓ The best Talk Radio out thereThoroughly enjoy Times Radio and mostly the quality of presenters, topics and the diversity of journalistic as well as expert opinion (although some regular columnists could get a check with reality and emotional intelligence from their place of implied ‘privilege’), rather than relying on public phone ins which distort objectivity and balance. I run a business and home office based much of the time, and have it in background most of day and night and like the podcasts too. ✓ Top Radio stationI’ve been a listener every day since day one, when it replaced the extremely right-wing, often I’ll-mannered morning presenters on Talk Radio! Times Radio presenters let their interviewees respond without interrupting, which is brilliant…so professional, yet friendly. I appreciate why they're necessary, but l hate all the advertisements, which didn’t feature in the early days of the station. Should Aasmah Mir (who is my go-to presenter for correct pronunciation), Stig Abell, Matt Chorley, Hugo Rifkind, John Pienaar, Kate McCann, Adam Boulton and Ayesha Hazarika, leave the station l’d be really upset. I enjoy all the presenters but they tend to be on when it’s less convenient for me to listen. Keep up the great work!.Version: 39.1.0
✓ Catch UpI listen most nights to Times Radio and particularly like the paper review at 10:30pm. The main glitch I get is that the catch up calendar freezes so today I can not get Hugh Rifkind on catch up as the app thinks today 3rd October..Version: 43.0.1

✓ Fantastic journalismSo happy about the Times Radio launch. The quality of the journalism is fantastic. I’d been big fans of people like Tom Newton-Dun and Stig Able from the papers on Sky News already but all of the presenters (Aasmah Mir new fav) are great. I love it when they bring Times journalists on, such a good idea. It’s like Radio 4 without all the rubbish (terrible daytime drama etc!). Love the app and sleep timer function too..Version: 1.5.3
✓ Catchup needs a “continuous play” optionThe app really needs to allow continuous play, especially for programmes like Matt Chorley’s that are split up into small segments for catchup purposes. ✓ Great station but....I listen to Times radio on my iPad most mornings and prefer it to other stations for its discussions etc. BUT i lose the channel at 12 noon on many days because ‘buffering is taking too long’.
