GREAT APPTHIS APP IS KILLER AND THE-MOST EFFICIENT FOR SHARING WITH THE BAND. JUST WISH YOU CAN AUTOMATICALLY CONVERT FROM GUITAR TO PIANO REGARDLESS OF VOICINGS.Version: 1.1

Useful, Fun, Lots of OptionsI’ll just say I’m very grateful this app exists. Makes it very easy to quickly sketch out a song, lyrics, chords and all. Easy to print, too. Awesome app..Version: 1.1

Awesome AppGreat app.Version: 1.0.3

Amazing app! But if only if….Goodness, I am actually using this app! Can’t tell you how many apps I’ve purchased just to realize they weren’t of much use for me. This app is amazing in that it holds all my music tabs in one place. But…..and this is really nitpicking here….if only there were some sort of forum where users could upload their creations for all of us to enjoy. Sort of like the Kemper Profiler’s Rig Manager. Other than that, it’s perfect. Note to developers - this app is SO easy to use right now. Please don’t lose that simplicity in future updates. Which BTW, I will purchase and support your hard work. Cheers!.Version: 1.0.4

Simply superbHands down this is the very best lyrics / chords app I have come across. Love it. Thank you developer for your hard work.Version: 1.1

Enjoyable, easy to useI’m a 68 year old who decided to play guitar again after 20 plus years. I had some old yellowed paper (remember that?) chord charts and decided to use SongKit for the chord charts. Excellent functionality and presentation, plus the PDF output can provide me with quality paper copies as well. Using Siri dictation certainly speeds up the process..Version: 1.2

Wow—if you are a songwriter you will love thisWow. Wow. Chord! Is probably my favorite overall iOS app and now it is a struggle to decide if I like SongKit even better. And this is only a “preliminary version” with more content on the way, according to the documentation. If you play guitar you will learn so much about music theory and guitar theory (they are two different things, as you probably know) with both Chord! and SongKit along with all their other uses...so buy the bundle. Back to SongKit...the ability to find chord voicings, transpose, save song files and print out nice lead sheets is better than anything I have found on the App Store and I have tried a LOT of other apps of this type (Chord! does lead sheets, too, but it is kind of difficult to use...my only criticism of the Chord! app). SongKit is really optimized for creating lead sheets quickly and easily while Chord! shines at helping you find chord voicings and scales, do reverse-lookups of chords and scales, explore harmonies and much more). I will use SongKit when I want to write down ideas quickly rather than use a notation program like Finale. I like the feature that lets you identify piano chords with a keyboard diagram similar to the way guitarists use chord boxes. Also like the ability to customize tunings for guitar, or transpose, and everything updates automatically in your song. Like Chord!, the app has a learning curve but it’s very powerful and worth the investment of time. BTW, I emailed the developer with an issue I had with Chord! awhile back (that was actually my error) and got a nearly immediate, very friendly explanation of how to do what I wanted to in the app..Version: 1.0.1

Amazing!Fantastic app to stay organized. No more google searching!.Version: 1.0.1

Terrific! (with a couple of suggestions)It’s a 5 star app! Not sure where that 1 star rating came from. I bought SongKit/Chord! Bundle, although I am finding that I like SongKit better suited for my needs. I was looking for a tool to simply transcribe (chords and lyrics) my own songs and turn them into sheets - mostly for my own use, so I don’t forget how I played them originally. I do know majority of the chords and am fairly familiar with the chord theory but I am not super fluent so I usually need a fretboard to try different fingerings. Overall I like the app; I think it’s great and it does suit my needs quite well. A few things that I particularly like I like the overall setup. It’s pretty clean. Songs are easy to create. The sheet view is fantastic - all I ever needed. The chord selection is very extensive and the song is very easy to edit I love the fretboard view to reverse search/build the chord! It’s by far my favourite feature. I like that it auto Caps first letters when you type in the song name! Very useful! Import from chord-pro also works like a charm! Bugs: the app froze (became completely non-responsive) on me 3 times - both times when I was in song View mode. I could not consistently reproduce it, so from the developer’s standpoint there is not a lot you can do, but you might keep an eye on it, in case other users bring it up. It also often gets a little laggy. I also have a couple of suggestions Sheet view This one is minor: when I tap on the chord above the lyrics, what I expect to see is an enlarged diagram for the selected chord. Instead it shows the entire strip of all chords in the song. It does the job but my suggestion, perhaps bring up the individual chord diagram by default and let user tap to see next or previous, if they choose. While we are at it, another suggestion. I understand that sheet view is for viewing - not for editing. But as a user sometimes I would like to correct a particular chord, so instead of going back to Edit mode and finding that exact line and exact chord, it would be nice to be able to tap on the chord in the View mode and then have an option to switch to edit it. Perhaps a popup menu? Edit View When typing the lyrics, I have noticed that there are no auto suggestions for some reason, yet when you enter song info, for instance, they show up! It would certainly help to have auto correct/suggest enabled when you type the lyrics!. Entering chords: The chord strip to select from is great and easy to use for basic chords but if I need Bm, I have to scroll all the way to the end. Perhaps adding a search, where user types “Am7” or “Esus2” and it sends them to the chord editor, would be a good feature? My biggest pain however is Chord Edit. Use case: I enter, say D7, but I often like to play it x-3-5-4-0-x, so I need to change it. I would like to simply tap and edit it on the fretboard view, just like I can when adding a new chord, but for some reason I can’t - at least I have not found a way to do it! All it gives me is the chord selector, which makes it more tedious for me (to find the right chord, I’d have to monkey around with the chord settings, like disabling barres, allowing bass other than root, limiting fingers to 3, etc.). I often end up simply deleting the chord and use “+” instead to add a new chord using the fretboard view. I know you have a Current Song option for chord selector strip, but I thought that perhaps adding a “recently used” option would be a good idea. You also have Suggestions option, but it’s hard to tell what it actually is based on, so perhaps you providing a description would be helpful. I still can’t figure out what the “lighting” button does. When I tap on it I don’t notice any changes, so perhaps adding some sort of explanation would be a good idea as well. Documentation. It is a bit scanty and perhaps could be better organized, although as a developer, I know that writing documentation is like pulling teeth for most of us :). That’s why I’m a big fan of making things more intuitive, to avoid writing 50 page manuals LOL. Playback. I know it is probably not the purpose of this app but I thought that if you considered adding a ‘play chord’ button so user can actually hear what the chord sounds like, it would make the experience much better. Overall though I think it’s a great app. Happy to spend the $$ and support the developer..Version: 1.1

Beautiful and no nonsenseThis app has really inspired me to get into writing more music, I definitely recommend reading the documentation first but once you understand the workflow its becomes second nature.Version: 1.2

Easy as pieEasy to use. Very intuitive. Knocked out my first transcription in an hour including having to look for the right chords for the arrangement. This app needs the ability to input a melody line in between the chord diagrams and the lyric line. Needs that asap. Thank you..Version: 1.2

Simple but perfectly formedI use this app regularly for my band lyrics and set lists. I like how simple it is compared to the other common expensive apps but it still has all the functions I need. Love how I can import songs and also easy to share them with my band mates. Can change keys on the fly if needed, it auto scrolls. It is the best value for money app of its type I believe. Marty-New Zealand.Version: 1.2

Finally - lead sheets done rightI’ve looked for an app like this for ages. I have downloaded and tried so many apps for creating basic lead sheets with chords and vocals to share with jam buddies and band mates. Until now none of them were very satisfying. Chord! is great and has a huge range of features including the ability to generate lead sheets, but SongKit focuses on its core function of creating lead sheets, without any extraneous functionality that would complicate the interface. The first time I opened it up on my iPad, it took only moments to create a new song, set the key, type some lyrics and add chords. I’m excited to see how tablature is supported, but even without that bonus feature this is an absolutely perfect app for quickly generating lead sheets and organizing songbooks. Well done - thanks so much for building this great tool for musicians!.Version: 1.2

Best songbook app ever!I have been using apps for only the last 2 years for my guitar music. Songkit! is the only one that does every thing that I want/need. I was setting up my music on my computer in a page layout program so I could have tab were I needed it and chord diagrams for the specific inversions that I chose. But I can’t change the key. With Songkit! I can have tab and custom chord diagrams where I want them and change the key-EVEN the tab changes key. The best ever. Easy to use. I absolutely recommend this app. Ty.Version: 1.0.3

Please add Fadd9 chordGreat app! I have some ideas for improvement. Please add Fadd9. Until then, I’ll use F/G and invert..Version: 1.0.1

Great app for organizing all my songsIs there a Mac version in the works? Even just an iPad port for Apple silicon machines would be fantastic. I literally use this app every day. I’ve never felt more organized about my music..Version: 1.1

Wow!This app actually can feel a little overwhelming with all the options available. But I like being able to customize each song. Will take some time to learn. The only reason I gave it a 4 star, instead of 5 was due not being able to create a set playlist, so I can quickly move from one song to the next when preforming..Version: 1.0.4
