✓ Berry interesting...Didn’t really think this game would be anything special, and the things I figured would be true, are. Not much graphic detail, not the richest character building I’ve seen, etc. What I didn’t realize, however, was that the battling would be so fun. It kinda reminds me of blitzball, from the tenth installment of a certain rpg fantasy franchise, made into its own rpg game. And I dig it. Worth a try, see if you like the gameplay also. ✓ A few flawsReally fun game initially, but then you start running into people who have either played this a long time or paid a lot and the balancing goes to pot. Their armies get stronger way faster than yours, way quicker. It’s a shame they’ve introduced the whole levelling your troops and ‘unique’ items because if you had to pick your soldier types and spells, but it was a level playing Field with stats it would be an awesome game..Version: 3.7.7

✓ BugsThe only reason why I’m giving four stars is because the recent update has major issues. I don’t mind waiting a few seconds for the app to load or that it burns up my battery life/motor; I do have an issue with my chosen name not remaining the same/unable to change it, the upgrade screen not loading (among other vital loading screens), ad rewards not being received, and finally not being sent back to the ‘home screen’ so please fix this issue..Version: 3.7.3
✓ Do not get this gameHave to put 5 stars for obvious reasons but if you want a game that’s fair then this game is not for you. They pop up ads in the MIDDLE of matches that make it impossible to play and they do not level it. In 5 seconds of the match starting someone will have 27K power without ever defeating an opponent and its near impossible to claim a victory when you first start playing. And units take 75 gold to level up to level 4, but you only get 14 gold with a VICTORY. Definitely a pay to win game, would not recommend under any circumstances..Version: 4.0.5
✓ Fun game - prefer a lot less adsThis is a really fun game, an exhilarating moment when you realise you will vanquish that more powerful foe. There is a LOT of add watching tho, and sometimes you have to watch an ad more than once before a chest opens. The game would benefit from less ads and just leave pay for upgrades. A guild/chat/expressions would be nice, but its refreshing to not have all that.Version: 3.7.9

✓ Too many adsGame is fun and has good element of upgrades and multiplayer battles. I don’t mind watching ads when the game is free to play. ✓ Awesome gameThis game is a lot of fun and is really simple. Its a good time filler that is very relaxing. My one main issue is that on certain adverts it wont give you the reward, for instance i have watched the same advert 8 times to get more energy and i haven’t gotten the reward. ✓ Portal Pass QuestionSo I’m having quite a good time playing this game and it is very fun. I do very much so like the gameplay style, it’s like Join Clash by SUPERSONIC STUDIO, but this app plays much better. Essentially I find it much more entertaining than Join Clash. I do have a simple question though. If I purchase the portal pass, is it an indefinite pass , or just for a the single reward that I am on. ✓ Bug fixI’m gonna leave a short review, I been playing this game for awhile off & on but I just re-downloaded it & this is the first time I ran into problems for some reason I can’t receive ANY of my reward chests on here or open up any chests even with the ad option I can’t even buy anything even if I wanted to the symbol is grey like it just won’t allow me to do it I can’t even watch a ad for boosts & power ups before the match starts this is ridiculous please fix this it’s definitely a bug if not a few, thank u.Version: 4.0.5
✓ Season pass and social tabsThe possibility of these two things working is almost none existent. You have to check and make sure that it is online each time you open the app in order to get the rewards and most of the time it isn’t available to get the season pass to go online. This is really only a problem for people that pay for the season pass to have a chance to get the extra rewards for winning matches. Other than that the game is great..Version: 4.0.2
✓ Outperforms the AdsThis game is probably one of my higher tier time killers. It outperforms the ads, which show it in a much worse light and it’s not your usual cash grab. I’ve advanced to a point, without spending any real life coin, that I’m comfortable with the challenge and not catching too many L’s. There is a fair bit of strategy in this game! It’s no Age of Empires, but it’s a solid RTSish game. The Ads are bearable at usually only thirty seconds long, and the rewards are definitely worth it. If you feel like putting your phone down for thirty seconds to get a significant boost to your troops. I feel I’m progressing well, again, without spending a dollar on the game and I don’t feel as though when I lose I lost because of the Pay-to-Win tier in this game..Version: 3.9.8

✓ Great game, could use more free itemsI wanna start by saying I’m addicted to this game. Love the gameplay and it has me frustrated or cheering after each match as a good game should. I’m not much of a pay to play gamer so some more options to watch ads and generate gems would be great. More modes would be fun too. Also should be some kind of indicator when you achieve a reward from the leaderboards. I had gotten the first one and didn’t even realize it, now I’m watching my ranking like a hawk trying to get to the next big prize so I can open a chest. Thanks for the hours of fun..Version: 3.3.7
✓ Frightfully addictiveMay I start off this clearly formal review with a bold opinion. THIS. GAME. SLAPS. Ancient Battle is incredibly fun, incredibly intuitive and incredibly well thought out. You may have never played the game, but I could make a fair bet that if I handed this to you, you would already know the controls. The concept is not a particularly new one, with lots of games taking a similar approach, but ancient battle is incredibly well thought out and feels like a completely new idea. The game does not force ads down your throat as much as many others do, although you will need to watch ads if you wish to open chests without gems or if you want a perk for a single round, but that’s fairly standard. For a free game, the ads are relatively minimal. I have not spent a penny of real money on this game, and I don’t feel the need to. You are a little pushed to spend gems and that almost feels like a trap, but I am currently something like level 23 and I have got around needing to spend so far, so you certainly can do it. I highly recommend this game and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it! A big well done and fantastic work to the developers. You have done a brilliant job on this one. Tom.Version: 3.7.7
✓ Great gameReally love this game. Very addictive. But passes the time. Got to say that you die lot more than winning. Once you get to about level 40+ you constantly loose. ✓ Why adsOkay why the ads. Don’t like the ads when ever I try to upgrade a troop sometimes an ad comes up and it’s rather annoying when you have to watch it to upgrade. I love the game but some things like the magma horde or what’re why is it so expensive and why not add gems to each reward you get after a round. ✓ Fun Game, Played non stop for hoursOnly reason I’m giving it a 4 star ( should be 4 1/2) Is because once I reached rank 23 (#1 spot globally) my game started crashing and I couldn’t play anymore. Second, 12 min wait time for energy is a long time to wait as well unless you watch ads of course so it’s not horrible. but basically if you don’t want to watch ads, it’s an hour wait to play one battle if you are out of energy. I would like to also say this game has so much potential with clans, clan battles, maybe 1 vs 1 mode, or boss modes maybe even a story mode. Could always ad more troops and different boosts and power ups and equipment. Has a huge future if the developers keep up with it and keep improving the game and adding more to it..Version: 3.3.0

✓ Awesome But Needs WorkThis game is amazing but there’s one frustrating aspect. Energy. Energy takes FOREVER to build up and you only get 5, the same amount of energy it takes to participate in only one game, every time you watch a 30 second advertisement. My honest opinion, energy needs to go. I understand you make your money through ad revenue and that helps make the game free, but it’s extremely annoying to HAVE to watch an ad just to play the game. Perhaps you could make the reward coins rather than energy. Perhaps you could still incorporate energy but have it replenish much faster so we can continue to play the game. You have a gem here and I’d hate for people to be turned off by the ads. Now on to the game itself. It is so much fun. I’ve played many games like this but this really hits the nail on the head. I love the army building idea and the quick games with multiple players in a shrinking map. The upgrades do impact gameplay and the price is fair. The rewards you get per game is fair even if you lose. I have no complaints when it comes to the game itself. It’s just the energy that really bugs me. I want to grind this game and I’m unable to do so unless I watch at least 1 ad in between games or wait 25 minutes for my energy to replenish enough to play just one game. Makes me not want to play it. I hope the devs read this and don’t just skim through the reviews because I love this game so far and would love to continue to provide feedback. My problem is for some reason a lot of the adds freeze up on my and I have to exit the game loosing all the bonuses I’d get from watching the add.
