✓ Too tedious to continueAlthough I like the game, the tasks take are tedious and take too many stars for each task and it takes days to finish one room. Not once have I encountered any of the things they use in the add to get you to down load the game. I’ve been playing this game for over a month now and I’m still stuck in the mansion redoing ever room. Each room comes with a complete remodel from the ceiling to the floor and everything in it and a lot of add one as well. Each game you played to buy the stuff to redo your rooms wins you only 1 star and each room costs over 20 starts to redo the room. The rooms in the mansion are numerous and then you have all of the grounds to do as well. I’m not sure I will ever move past this mansion and it’s tedious demands. I’m sure I will quit this before I move too much farther. It’s too much of the same!!!.Version: 1.52.0

✓ Terrible updateI recently started playing this game, and it was pretty good. An interesting storyline and the match-2 games not too hard so far. I downloaded it because a reviewer on a different thread said this game was not like the other design games—not a money-grabber where the match portions get so hard you have to start buying stuff to stay in the game. That is why I have deleted the other ones: they are money-grabbers. I was starting to get into Penny & Flo, and then two or three days ago, they had an update, and now it is riddled with ads for other games. I might be deleting this one too. Here’s a suggestion: offer a variety of purchase options from the beginning. If you want players to pay a certain amount of money over the course of the game, then offer a one-time payment as an option, up front, after a short trial period. Along with and as an alternative to that offer, give the player a choice of if they want to potentially pay incrementally throughout the game, instead of paying up front. Let ad-watching be a third, optional choice. Personally, if the full game price is reasonable, I would be one of the people opting to pay a one-time fee up front. That way I could just get on with the game, not worrying that it’s going to hit me in the wallet, and just enjoy the app..Version: 1.126.0

✓ Why can't I experience the game from the beginning??I came from Lily's Garden and I loved following her journey so I downloaded Penny and Flo, but instead of the game starting at the first chapter with Daphne's Mansion, it immediately began with the Grand Thai Hotel storyline? It shouldn't be too much to ask if I want to experience a story from the beginning, it's incredibly alienating to new players. It's like giving me the fourth book to a series and expecting me to already know and invest in the characters when I only just met them. I tried to contact support but they only gave vague responses like "For now, just play the Thai storyline." So am I just not supposed to play through the earlier chapters?? I know I'm not the only one who's having this trouble, and if this is not a bug, it's an incredibly odd choice..Version: 1.117.2
✓ Tactile gamesFirst it was Lily’s garden crashing left right and centre, so after 3 weeks of perseverance I deleted the game and lost a lot of benefits. I’ve reloaded and it seems fine, HOWEVER.......now it seems penny and Flo are going down the same road, crashing, unable to play the game. Despite updating when asked to. ✓ UnfortunatelyThis Game could be fun , but it takes a lot of effort to get through puzzles and not just for me but family members that are normally great at this type of game . Slow progress. becomes boring and frustrating more then enjoyable . If you buy power ups it is placed in a spot that is impossible to get to so your booster is wasted , or it is placed so that it removes an existing booster already on the puzzle, thus either needing to buy $$$ more or play the puzzle over and over praying the frustration ends. rewards are hard to get and don’t happen often. Basically you either buy booster packs hoping they will help or do the same puzzle over and over. I have purchased 3 did not do much for progress in the game . Maybe they will correct the issues so that the game is more enjoyable ..Version: 1.21.0
✓ Slow PlayLove the renovating, decorating & story aspect of the game. It was a lot of fun at first when the games to advance were winnable, and only one game was needed to advance. I imagine players giving high ratings were still in this honeymoon phase. Not me. I waited. As the game progresses , it does a hard sell on you to purchase lives & stuff in order to progress, including: Impossible to win games without a purchase; Having to play games over & over & over & over … etc. just to inch forward with the fun part of renovating & decorating, only to run out of lives; Having to win 3 games to inch forward; Having to win a game for unsatisfying things like “start new chapter”. I would highly prefer to spend $5 up front for the game, and then just enjoy it the way it works in the beginning, by having to do one winnable game for each advance. The game is supposed to be fun & entertaining escapism. It’s making me progressively frustrated & angry as I get deeper into the game..Version: 1.101.0
✓ Slow updatesThe biggest issue with this game is how slowly the developers release the weekly updates. Some players get the updates days before other users and the side game is usually completed leaving players with no game and this frequently impacts on gaining rewards It would help if the developers provided players with update reports on the Facebook page.Version: 1.54.1
✓ Fun but...This is a pretty fun game, the levels have been easy so far, and there’s a Facebook login to save progress. But the app keeps crashing. I must have reopened it 7 times just for it to crash again. Like, I can play it, but when there’s a new task, and a cut scene would load, it would get done with the scene and crash/or not play it at all and crash before it even played. Then I have to open it back up again and replay the cut scene, and hope before or after it played, I could actually do the task. Also, with the journal, to select to do a task, by using stars, most of the time I had to hit the task button twice. Like I’d click it, and the button would wiggle like I correctly tapped it, and yet it wouldn’t load until I tapped it and it wiggled a second time. Besides the crashing, still a fun game and I’m glad there’s a save progress option because I got rid of the app on my phone, because of the amount of crashes, but I might get it on some other device, when that’ll be, idk. ✓ Fed up and disgusted.I have played this game AND spent a lot of money on it only to all of a sudden....NOTHING. A NOTICE SAYING “UPDATE SOON” . Great, I played Lily’s garden to more than level 1200 them lots of problems so ended up trying to reload only to find I was at the beginning again, NO BACKUP. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND A PENNY ON IN APP PURCHASES . I don’t think you even read any reviews because after going through loads of them, some with complaints there are no acknowledgments anywhere. ✓ Obnoxious characters and glitchy asAfter the latest update the game takes ages to load the backgrounds, so the characters are just standing on nothing. I will beat a level and then the next game is the same as the one before it. Also, I can’t believe this hasn’t been mentioned before - the characters are awful. ✓ Mediocre, with room for improvementThis game is almost a clone of Lily’s Garden, which is fine, or would be if it didn’t have so many issues and problems. So far, the kitchen renovation has a bug where you cannot see what you are doing, and now, the ‘family’ feature has disappeared from my game and I’m unable to manage or communicate with the community I spent a lot of time building. Game support is reasonable, and so far my problems have been addressed within the timeframe advertised. If you like these kinds of games, give a go if you have the patience to plough on while they continue to iron out the wrinkles..Version: 1.37.0
✓ Starts out fun, but….The story moves SO SLOW. I’m already on level 102 and still don’t know why Penny is hesitant to marry. But hey, Daphne’s mansion is getting a makeover! Step by excruciating step. 🙄 What really gets me is that some levels now, the only way you can clear the objects is with power boosters, yet the game keeps handing me mixed blocks. Move after move after move. I’ll waste 20+ moves not being able to play, stuck on a level because the game is cheating, wasting lives because there are no boosters AT ALL. It’s ridiculous. I’m probably going to delete this game. Shame, I originally wanted to find out what this story was. Now I find I just don’t care anymore. Way to string your customers along. And the cop just easily walks away from a stolen vehicle? Using a wrecked car as a planter outside a movie star’s mansion is utterly ridiculous. But hey! Daphne likes it! ✓ At first, it was awesomeNow, on level 4221 - I have a hugely different opinion. While the graphics are nice (albeit some rooms are able to be decorated nicely but others are made for colorblind misfits - apparently - ie: colors & styles are just not what I would see “fit”), I have been having issues that “support” can’t seem to answer. I’ve been playing for months now but in the past 3 days, while playing & winning levels, I am not getting any points (aka stars) to decorate with. Support doesn’t read through my questions thoroughly and, depending on who answers, they do not coincide with one another. The characters chat so much so, that quite honestly, I stopped following the story. Every time one character has to chat with another in a phone call (& there’s TONS of phone calls) you have to expend one of your points so they can blah blah blah . At some point, I realized that the characters jump from room to room or location to location so that you’re now working in 3 different areas trying to decorate. It feels now that they are A.D.D. (Absolutely no offense to anyone). Maybe if they stayed in the same room/location there wouldn’t be as many phone calls…Idk…I could go on about other issues but I feel as if there is no point..Version: 1.81.0

✓ Nothing like the adsThis is a puzzle game like bejeweled style it’s not like advertised at all. You earn stars for finishing puzzles and from that you can do the story line but it’s still not like advertised. Your rooms aren’t judged, you don’t get to fix everything in a room at once and Everything cost stars in the story line and it take ages to achieve anything not to mention the storyline is boring as hell. The puzzles are ok for a while but then they become just annoying by the time you get to the phones so I’m done and don’t recommend.Version: 1.35.3

✓ So Many Stars!Just like all games like this when you first get started you only need a star for big things like flooring or changing the walls to later game you need too many stars just to do simple stuff like it took three to find of the old lady is illiterate and had her butler read her scripts to her 🤬 and the puzzles are harder so you just feel like screaming. Also on Lilys Garden they have levels to help build up coins and toss a free star does Penny heck no stingy as all get out. It’s a cute game you can play without paying but it’s also frustrating and will temp you to uninstall during certain levels and tool box’s in this game are the devils left hand. The music is subdued rhythmic & upbeat, keeping your focus on playing, the graphics are sublime colorful engaging & pleasing as you change them so you feel connected to the decorating. The story builds believably and keeps me playing to earn (that next star) so I can pay for the narrative. Rewards keep you in boosters that are a major help in clearing levels. Earning Coins is steady, easy but has an acceptable [low] pay out, ( I say this backtalking my screen, (O’come on, you cheap … ) Games within the game keep you in boosters & extra coins without having to spend while you keep playing. Spending cash can be budget friendly … (HA![is it, that fr-] word) 3*** because, glitches. Because there are things that annoy me. ✓ Cute as all....Graphics are fantastic, storyline with the aging movie star is wonderful and it’s fun to play. The issue I have is why so money hungry? When I hit level 100 and up, each game requires extra moves! Help us out here! Give the option of getting like 2-3 extra moves by watching an ad. I realize your game doesn’t have ads which is lovely but start! At least give us an option for it. Thank you. I never thought that the Danish were this greedy! Unbelievable! ✓ Fantastic til you’re out of livesLove the story line, the match games and the decorating ability. Enjoyed playing so far. In the beginning you get hours of free play. At one time I had 10 hours! But there’s no way you can play for that long so it runs out. I’m now at level 127, and stuck on one match game. Out of boosters. And you can’t advance the game without the match. I got level 331, got the update, it then stop letting me choose between Flo or Penny, then if I want to fast forward, I have to pay to move to next level. I agree with the frustrated player who said they wanted to go with the wedding story line before moving on to the movie Star persons house, that story line about the cat and what you do with the car is stupid. I was pulled into this story due to the story line about the love life. Having the in app purchases I get, but to make it now where you have to pay to move to the next level and having only 4 chances is making it where I don't have the money to move forward. It is like some of the games that make you get a gift, you think is going to be free, but you have to pay for the gift. Nope, I am done. Not worth my time. This changed as I progressed further in to the game. The levels became increasingly hard, which is fair, that's what happens when you level up but I mean RIDICULOUSLY HARD! (I have been stuck on the same level for 4 week's!!) The game is trying to get me to spend money on all the tricks & gadgets that will help me complete the level. Helpful boxes popping up everytime you fail saying “Why not get some help? Try using some boosters”... of course, these aren't in my inventory & when you click you get sent straight to apple pay. An easy trap for young kids who think their parents won't notice the 99p here & 99p there! ✓ It’s got a lot of potentialI started off playing lily’s garden and finished the main storyline before seeing the game just making up random things to keep it going and got bored, so started looking for more similar games. I found this one in hopes it would be like the add with different types of games but this was also similar so figured I’d try it anyways. The game would be a LOT better if you didn’t have to get so many stars just to get so little into the storyline. Three stars, which consists of several minutes to get to so little in the game, to do three more games and so on, you loose your interest knowing what the next step wil be bc you forgot what the step was beforehand. Lilys started building up with one into two to three and already into the games storyline to want to keep moving forward this one took me over what it seemed 100+ stars to get into the hotel and Im already done and uninstalled the game when it started free ads after deleting the endless “offers”. ✓ Engaging but expensiveThis is a bright, humorous adventure with some engaging characters and interesting storylines. The gameplay is relaxing with no time limits and the levels are sufficiently varied to maintain interest. My only problem is the cost of coins which is much higher, at £4.49 for the bank, compared to other games such as Lily’s Garden (£2.49). I find I need to top up every thirty levels or so - however getting boosters seems fair, so if you do not mind paying for quick progress then this is recommended for you..Version: 1.114.0

✓ Stop updating so much.I swear every other day I log in to play and there’s an update. How many times a week do you guys REALLY need to update? Sometimes I only have a limited amount of play time and having to constantly wait for an update to finish takes away from that. I think once a week is sufficient. Also, WAAAAY too many ad boxes and little text screens pop up as soon as you log in. I feel like I have to close out of at least 10 or more things just to get in and play the game itself. To much “buy this” and “here’s this challenge” AGAIN! It’s ANNOYING! ✓ Don’t spend money on this!I really like this game and would have given it a 5 star review a few weeks ago. The story line is good, the game play is usually not too hard though some levels took a few days, and they WERE pretty generous with free boosters and time of unlimited lives. BUTI paid real money and now all my “help from your friends at Tactile” has disappeared. No free 30 minutes of unlimited time, no free boosters, no help at all. I have had several times of almost 4 hours of unlimited lives before. I was enjoying the game and figured it was worth the $4 to get the “season pass” for their current promotion. ✓ I don’t like the storyThe game itself is enjoyable has no adds and heaps of chances for unlimited lives BUT the story makes me uncomfortable, I’m all for equality but the story is set up to make the male characters look like incompetent useless idiots. So far they don’t even need to be in the story so it feels like they’re just there to belittle. Flo's husband seems to be scared of her and she speaks to him like he’s nothing more than an irritation. ✓ Levels are way to hard and everything is so many starsSo when I started this game it was great because all the levels were easy and everything was only 1 star, but now all the levels are SO much harder and even little things like replacing stools have become a 3 star task. I feel like when playing the levels, there aren’t enough boosters appearing and I can only match 2 to 3 blocks if that makes sense. I have spent many levels just tapping blocks because there’s nothing to combine or simply not the right colours to break a certain block! Unfortunately the game hasn’t worked out for me but I enjoyed playing it when it was fun and enjoyable, now it has become stressful and not as enjoyable..Version: 1.35.2
