✓ Servers down half the timeToronto is down a lot of the time and so are the other locations near by (like Montreal) which also have pretty high latency making everything a lot SLOWER..Version: 2.3
✓ Force me to rate you, you get 1 starI barely had the opportunity to click through half of the configuration settings, and I get a pop-up to rate the app/service. That really annoys me, but what's worse is that my ONLY choices were to rate the app (which I didn't feel like doing yet, I didn't have enough experience with it), OR report a problem, which took me out of the app. I didn't want to report a problem, and I didn't want to rate the app. But you forced me to do something out of the app. So 1 star, blanket policy. Do better, stop freaking bugging you users to make crappy ratings. If this were a free period, I'm probably just stop using the app, and you'd lose a sale. As it is, I paid for a year, so you having for that long. But you're starting with a negative score already, before I consider renewing next year..Version: 1.0.8

✓ Works great at firstI noticed the speeds on my internet had slowed down drastically—like, dial-up speed drastic. Got rid of cache, closed unused apps, etc, trying to figure out what was going on. Then went to the VPN app and saw some notice about “speed lost,” or something like that. I immediately deleted the app, and now all of my speeds are back to normal. It will toggle between cellular and known WIFI networks without allowing me to disable that feature. Overly persistent and unrefined execution. Within a day I began suspecting that my phone was broken as I couldn’t send emails and internet access was slow and appeared frozen at times. ✓ Should have option to allow certain app use VPN!!There used to be a service on laptop where the app lets you select certain app to use VPN. That option is completely removed plus its not feasible on computers. It should be introduced on ipad and smart phones. This way users can use certain apps that they can use VPN. ✓ Something keeps tripping turning off adguard VPNWhen I look at my settings I see Adguard VPN is turned off. When I turned it on 1 hour ago. I even selected “on demand” stay connected. Once I open up a gaming Apps. When I saw on the upper right corner shows VPN flashing next to the battery icon. When I checked VPN profile, it shows Adguard VPN is turned off. Someone or a bug keeps tripping the VPN profile to turn off. When I selected “On Demand” which means the Adguard VPN should stay connected. Yet when “on demand” is turned off. ✓ Connection stability - Incredibly slow - App looks good, Ninja characterer’s aestheticsIt pains me to give this app such a low review because I know, given some the time, these adGuard devs will knock this out of the park just like they did with their other products! So long as Apple can mind their own and not pull any of their weird stuff. However, it’s just not quite there in its current state. And I’d be very hard pressed to pay for the premium at this point in time. It seemed to be rolling pretty well but something was causing it to frequently get disconnected then connect again and so on and so forth. Which may have been causing the other issue of when it was able to get connected it was at extremely slow speeds and and sometimes unloaded and I had to get rid of it for now.! But I will be waiting on to come back and change this review once it’s where we expect it to be, in due time! Because as I mentioned, the app itself it’s looks very good!! I think it’s even cleaner looking than the original app(s). Which are vanity amazing! . The difference imo is the new face of the app. The ninja very cool footing backgtound . ✓ Unreliable and overpromisingQuality of the connection is REALLY patchy. It can be 200mb and 3mb with very similar latency and signal. I switch off their vpn and my internet speed is back to where it is supposed to be. This vpn cuts it by an unpredictable ratio.. it could be 2x it can be 5-7-20x. This is VERY disturbing for connectivity critical applications. This is my second time I am buying subscription after a reasonable break (I gave them some time). It has become better (it was aaaalot worse), but still I cannot rely on their stable and good bandwidth connection. The only reason I keep coming back to try this out is adblocker/tracker and vpn bundle. It is still faaar from smooth. I remain very disappointed...Version: 2.0.2

✓ Huge Drop In Quality LatelyWhen this app and service first rolled out I was more than happy to jump onboard and dump Proton VPN, it worked flawlessly all the time, every time. But a little by little later, the usability of this app/service has dropped to near zero. I don't know what has happened behind the scenes but I'm tired of having to manually connect/disconnect the vpn just to refresh the connection to get it working again without leaving my apps and restarting those too. Sometimes nothing works until I restart my phone, I tried using Proton VPN again, and sure enough everything works fine. I'm done with this service for now but I really hope you guys can pull something together cause this is insanity compared to the masterpiece that is Adguard itself..Version: 2.0.2

It's tempermental as hell and give me no idication that its decided it would rather have a little snooze and disconnect. The app has difficulty even loading half the time and it saying it's connected is not a real assurance it has. ✓ Becoming more and More UnstableThis app was great when I first started using it a couple of years back; connections was more stable. Nowadays my vpn is disconnecting frequently, causing my internet connection to be really poor or unavailable. It is bad to the point now that I am unsure whether it stays connected enough to actually serve the purpose of a VPN. Almost every time I open the app now it’ll either say “searching” or “disconnected” and the only solution most time is to force close the app and open it again. ✓ Updated review..This disconnects to such an extreme, saying the phrase “a lot” doesn’t do it justice. It can really slow your phone down. I question the reviews here, I’m not sure Apple would allow fake reviews but I’ve used this on two phones and my iPad and they all experience the same thing. I don’t experience what these reviews are saying, so these reviews to me are questionable. iMessage doesn’t work properly, when switching from WiFi to LTE, messages won’t come through until you either turn on and off airplane mode or connect to WiFi again. Same thing with emails, they don’t come through when switching, or sometimes in general, WiFi or not. FaceTime calls are garbage when on this vpn yet not with others, so it’s just this vpn. The good: it works with your Adguard Pro..but why wouldn’t they just add what Adguard does on their VPN? So many VPNs have ad blocking features and many other things, paying twice seems like a cash grab. There’s times where it does work though, and you see it’s potential, so that’s that. Hope it improves, but I wouldn’t spend money on a yearly subscription just yet..Version: 1.0.16
✓ Force me to rate you, you get 1 starThe title of this review was copied from an earlier review by another person. In April of 2021, a paid user gave this app 1 star because the app asked for a rating before the user had a chance to use the app much. The *Developer Response* said that they had “passed this information to our developers so our developers can solve the problem!” So, the *Developer Response* wasn’t written by a developer. Maybe the devs figured that giving users an option not to provide a rating was solving the problem. I would not say that the app currently *forces* a rating, but the prompt for a rating came within one second of the first VPN connection. Also, the App Store info states that the free version has “limited functionality” with no further details as to what those limits are. If there is a data usage limit per day/week/month, then the writeup should say that..Version: 2.1.3
✓ Has never changed in yearsSame boring unaltering vpn app year after year that gives the same address every time you connect to a city. I could really complain about worse issues using this vpn like I have wanted to for years but it would unlikely work in my favor so I have kept my mouth shut. At least start using the money you make from google to start adding extra cities like in Australia & try rotating the addresses more often. A lot of people seem to mainly use it because it works with AdGuard, otherwise they would likely use a vpn that cares more about your privacy with it while it keeps dropping & restarting the connection. It’s the only vpn app that I know of that never changes. Let’s just say ‘Companies needed to be more careful who they hire, as AdGuard for example years ago use to put security way ahead,especially when browsing their website logged in. ✓ Server crashesI really would love to give higher stars but I just recently purchased the AdGuard VPN and configured everything properly and even tested it leaving everything as is and recommended but recently been having every server listed crash on numerous occasions but other than that pretty easy and simple and enjoy when it does work.Version: 1.0.8
