Positively SickThere weren’t many reviews here, but everything was 4 or 5 stars so I took a chance, and WOW am I glad I did. This app is positively sick. Super easy to incorporate into GarageBand. Really intuitive interface with a lot of depth. Highly recommend it! Great job to the Dev!.Version: 1.09

Fantastic AppI’ve been using it to feed midi sequences into Logic then mucking about with them, as well as an AUM source. I have one request though. I like messing with odd time signatures, 5/8, 7/8 … Why the restrictions on pattern length?.Version: 1.10

Should have been workingYes I’ll admit it, I should have been working this afternoon but I was seduced by this app and it’s amazingly efficient work flow. Paul has produced another winner in my opinion and as a first iteration I am totally at peace with the apps capability to do what I want it do. The striking aspect for me is the excellent productivity when sculpting articulations of patterns....love it I will mention this app can assist in creating amazing piano accompaniments. Best Limbic 🙏🦄🎩👏👏👏👏.Version: 1.0

Interface could be improvedWould be a lot better if the ARP/strum grid matched the order of standard guitar tabs...Version: 1.0

Great app - very versatile. This is great for creating Guitar tracks in Cubasis 3. It works really smoothly within Cubasis as an AUv3 Instrument, with the ability to control many of the features via MIDI notes in the track and MIDI CCs. It’s the closest equivalent to MusicLab’s RealGuitar (for PC) that I’ve found. You can create and save your own custom chords as well as the patterns and presets, and you can import your own Soundfonts if you wish. Two features that would improve it for me would be to add the ability to change chords on every half beat and quarter beat, and have the current preset name displayed at the top of the interface..Version: 1.10

Just what I NeededYes, finally a great all round guitar simulator on AUV3. I’ve got all the guitar apps but this one does the lot AND it’s stable. Cubasis works with it like a dream. Strum, arpeggiate to your hearts content. Great sounds with the ability to import SoundFonts, I’m loading all mine in now. Seriously- get it!.Version: 1.01

Pretty strong entry to the iOS music world. So while I pluck the guitar a bit, it’s the opposite of ‘repeatable’ regular, and precise! This app is to help me do some of that. I released a single ‘Guitar Nova Scotia’ which did use Apple’s GB AI bass-player, but the six-string tracks were a Stratocaster with me on the end. This app will help with when imperfections are not as desirable. Basically it can be viewed as three screens you can slide between when in ‘full screen’ mode for example in GarageBand, one depicts fret string fingers among other things, another has a sort of ‘song mode’ situation, so you can see the chords arp’d or otherwise, laid out with the number of repeats stated. This is such a sophisticated instrument/simulated instrument, I would hesitate to be the person to say much about it - I am not qualified in any sense. However, as a user, I can see how you might ‘prefer’ the layout of the screens you slide between, be different to how they are. The caution I would issue is the same as when I approach the end of making a song - am I now changing something to make it better, or is it simply different? Applying that test is the way I stop myself going on forever with a song - or dare I say, much else. It’s just an awfully good app, and makes me think more than ever, it is getting to the stage Apple need to do some more lifting at their end, to bump up the RAM on ipads to 8Gb or 16Gb, instead of 4Gb/6Gb, and not introduce issues while doing so. That side is out of this Developer’s domain of course. I simply mention in because in GarageBand I had to convert (merge) two MIDI tracks using a piano emulation/sample instrument, into their audio equivalents, to permit this extraordinary app to run smoothly. This has been a long-running issue. If Apple is going to make a thing like Audio Units a standard, it needs to keep ahead of the required headroom expectations, by a generation or two. Hence I say 16Gb RAM, not just 8. But this app, great stuff. I think some four-star ratings are by users a trifle frugal with the stars, but then again, we are all paying customers..Version: 1.05

Great appGreat app for sequencing chord progressions.Version: 1.10

Brilliant appAnother gem from one of the hardest working and gifted app developers on iOS! I love the feel, range and creative potential with this app and using it via midi opens up a whole new world of musical possibilities.Version: 1.07

AMAZING UNIQUE UNRIVELEDThis is the only app of its kind on aum that does so much. For us non guitarists the ability to create our own REALISTIC strumming and arpeggio patterns and sequence them into songs is a complete Godsend. The latest update allows us to play chords on a midi keyboard and translate them into strumming and arpeggio patterns in real time meaning we can use for live gigs. It also means I can use midi strummer from the bass of my Roland accordion, and I will certainly be recommending it to all my accordionist friends worldwide. Paul of 4pockets is a GENIUS who listens to his customers and takes on board what they want..Version: 1.02

An excellent App which could be improved even moreThe functionality of this app is outstanding. However, for me, one addition that would make it even more outstanding would be the ability to save chord chains, chord pads, and custom strumming patterns separately. You need to be careful at the moment to save a chord chain after entering it by doing a general save before doing anything else. I entered a chord chain of 33 chords, didn’t save and then lost the chain by changing a strumming pattern. I understand that the developer is looking to add the ability to include custom chords in a future version. For me this would be brilliant: I could enter complex jazz progression involving tensions, borrowed chords, passing chords, approach chords, secondary dominants, etc. With further development the chord chain could be used to create a complex backing track..Version: 1.02

Great. Hoping forMidi in would be stellar. Also, ability to touch the fretboard to make a custom chord and/or voicing would be cool..Version: 1.08

Great appI cant get the app to work.. So I have it loaded in as a MidiFX.. but when I push play in Cubasis3.. no sound plays... I am on iOS 14. iPhone11.Version: 1.02

Perhaps the best midi plugin in historyIt’s sublime! Sure, trigger guitars ... but get a nice finger picking pattern and try a piano!! Oh my... add some fancy chords to the pads and impress yourself. So much so I want to ask the dev for some control over pedal damping. I think that would work for guitars as well... Seriously brilliant ... runs in Cubasis 3 fine here. Recordings are in time and I find it’s a joy to tweak. Buy it..Version: 1.04

Unexpected Surprise.Intuitive and Easy to use. Sonically good. Built in Fx. Excellent Rhythm Strummer with Endless possibilities as an Arpeggiator..Version: 1.0

Not much to sayAn outstanding app. Update This is a fantastic app, which I have thoroughly enjoyed using in my song compositions. Paul, is it possible to add more layers of pads so that we can assign the whole range of chords needed for song composition. Eg 7ths, sus etc If space on a particular page is a problem can you add an Extra page which would mean the pad page is double size. We could then select from loads more chords which would be a boon for me and, I am sure for every other person composing. Thanks.Version: 1.08

Fantastic AppFor me this is the greatest auv3 midi tool since Bram Bos Rozeta. An excellent guitar emulator in its own right but brilliant as a midi driver for another synth via auv3. Great for inspiration via the randomiser too. I can’t recommend it enough 👍👍💥.Version: 1.05

Works well on iOS, but crashes on macOSCould you please optimize this wonderful app to work on M1 Macs?.Version: 1.10

Sounds greatThis ticks all the boxes. Great sounds and preset patterns, and a straightforward interface that can get deep results. Highly recommended if you want realistic guitar or a fun and powerful arp..Version: 1.01

Great but needs more guitars and strum patternsJust as it says, this could be huge and integrates well with GarageBand.Version: 1.10

Great App, only guitar-centric strummer and arpeggiatorGreat app for what it does. I dream of the world where this has a similar interface to Helium, to save and export patterns to midi. As well as a way to tap or strum patterns manually and record. Picturing an interface reminiscent of guitarism..Version: 1.10

Amazingly versatile guitar arpeggiator! The more I use Strummer, the more it becomes a go-to guitar player in my AU hosts. In addition to playing patterns with touch pads, it will also convert incoming MIDI to guitar chords which can be arpeggiated. You can also send Strummer’s MIDI out to play another sound module. And, it’s a capable soundfont player, so you can load other sounds. Song mode lets you construct a chord progression and have it play back in sync with your host. 👍.Version: 1.16

The best one of its kindThis is quite simply the best guitar-oriented app out there. I’ve tried others but this one beats them all. Easy to learn, but with lots of depth to investigate. It’s easy to put together guitar parts which will sit in a mix and if you know guitars it’s also very quick to use. Even if you’re not familiar with guitar it’s still well worth buying, and at such a low price the value for money is outstanding. QUESTION; is there any way is add ‘swing’ into a pattern as most sequencers do, to make it feel a little more human?.Version: 1.09

Strumblin’ onWith the right combination of other apps via midi out under AUM, plus the excellent internal sounds, this app can sound wonderful. Already a great app, if bending of notes and note sustain could be added, it would be perfect. Nic.Version: 1.06

Well impressed!Funnily enough, I recently had the idea of trying to record my guitar into my iPad. This app has changed my mind. It’s surprisingly easy to get the sound of a recorded guitar. I don’t know what I’m doing yet, but the fact that I know it’s worth delving deeper is good enough for me. OK, it’s not a real guitar but that’s the real essence of punk, who cares!.Version: 1.0

Where are the wave table?Or where can I download them? Finally got them to work, thanks.Version: 1.0

OPINION UPDATEINITIALLY UPSET THAT I COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW TO SYNC THIS APP WITH OTHER APPS. I REACHED OUT TO THE DEVELOPER AND DID NOT RECEIVE A PROMPT REPLY. DEVELOPERS SEEM TO THINK WE KNOW INTUITIVELY HOW TO OPERATE THEIR APPS WITHOUT A PROPER GUIDE. AS OF TODAY THE DEVELOPER REACHED OUT AND MADE A REPLY AND MY QUESTIONED WAS ANSWERED..Version: 1.07

Guitar for Garage BandWow this so very cool. The IOS GB platform is smoking hot..Version: 1.10

AwesomeFantastic app, like all of 4pockets stuff. Easy to use but seems endlessly deep. I have had a few minor issues using it in AUM where chords/presets would not save (haven’t tried it in standalone mode yet) but this app is too good to knock a star off for that. I’d love to see an update that lets you construct your own chords from the ground up (impossible to play chords with unnaturally long stretches for example). Brilliant.Version: 1.07

I love what I think it’s supposed to do…Cool app but something is off or I am not getting it correctly. (When used as a midi FX in AUM) It’s receiving a cord progression from helium and it will forward MIDI info With one bar latency. It only works correctly with its internal sounds. Midi ch out keeps returning to default on every startup..Version: 1.10

Crashes so muchI love this app and it has excellent sounds but i can’t have like more than 2 tracks of this plugin open in garageband before it corrupts the entire track and makes the project impossible to open and the plugin just does not work. Please fix this soon as i love using this plugin but i just cant if it keeps glitching out like this.Version: 1.16

Converted my CME x-key to a keytarFantastic app with really nice customization and sound. Would like to see midi learn for cc messages to control the on screen function to make this usable with a wind controller. Also I would like to be able to reorganize the saved settings. You can hold your finger on the setting and move it but goes back to its old place when you let go. More detailed documentation would be a plus. Especially what chords can be played on keyboard and how you should form then..Version: 1.09

Best app of its kindAbsolutely awesome app. I’ve been looking for something like this for so long. Finally, as a non guitarist I can create realistic riffs and record top quality guitar sounds without the need of other musicians. Highly recommended to any iPad musicians. So why only four stars? Because it is lacking one essential feature...alternative tunings. Please add this feature and make this the must have app of 2020......Version: 1.04

Awesomeness!!!Already this app has been so inspirational and it’s only on version one 😲 I can’t recommend this enough!.Version: 1.0
