✓ Great game but some bad fonts.This is a really great game overall. The artwork on the various decks is top quality. The only issue I have is that some of the decks use barely legible fonts for the numbers. This is can cause quite a challenge on the iPhone, but it still isn’t great in the iPad. Additionally, some of the decks use a very low contrast between the red and black cards. Sometimes, the initial deck is quite usable, but the variations are quite illegible. Additionally, the card you see when deciding to purchase a new deck is not always indicative of the entire deck. I really love one of the early decks that I unlocked, but almost every new deck I have unlocked is practically illegible, which makes playing the stories quite a slog..Version: 2.0.1
✓ I keep coming back to play.This version of the game is a lot of fun. I enjoy the cheesy stories and the daily challenges are the reason I keep playing. It looks great and the mechanics are pretty good. My only issue is there is no great explanation of how the scoring works. It seems that the quicker your are the more points you get but at the same time the more moves you make the more points you get. This seems counterintuitive because the faster you are the fewer moves you are likely to make. Some how there is a way to maximize your score by being fast and making lots of moves but the game does not explain how that scoring works. Other than that it’s really fun..Version: 1.5
✓ OBSESSEDI can play this solitaire game all day everyday and i pretty much have since downloading it. So much so that i have unlocked everything from the prize pod and have completed almost all the stories three times with the exception of two stories im trying to wait to unlock and play through until more get added. please keep adding new stories and unlockables in the prize pod! this is by far the best solitaire game i’ve ever played and i have played so many. when i said i could play this game all day long i really mean it!.Version: 2.7

✓ So close to 5 starsLove this and play it all the time, the reason I am not giving it 5 stars is two fold, 1. The leaderboard is only based on scores from winning games which means with a fixed point system essentially the person who plays the most games is at the top. 2. I was so excited to see spider solitaire get added it’s been my favourite game mode when my gran fought it to me probably 25 years ago… I want spider stories 😃 as much as I like quickplay I like the progression of the stories. I tend to play 2 or 4 suits (4 if I want to punish myself as I only win about 1 in 7) and would love if stories were introduces as then at least I might get some winnable 4 suits 🤣.Version: 2.5
✓ Update’s led to glitchesI love the basic game of solitaire. Add the story element, and you can’t go wrong. With cute animations and sound, it’s a solid game. Of course, I was excited that a new story has been added with this latest update! But along with the update, the app itself has begun to glitch. It can happen in-game or on the menu page. The game will freeze and next thing I know, I’m losing seconds towards my timed-games and I’ve mistakenly tapped thrice, playing up my hand. It’s really frustrating and I have considered trying the whole uninstall to reinstall- but then I lose all of my progress and I doubt it would be enough to fix it. Just a bit of shame. ✓ Solitaire StoriesIt’s solid solitaire, with satisfying animations and sound design (save for some of the more … grating background loops). Everything feels pretty good to interact with. It’s not buggy. Can’t complain too much, and I’ve put a good bit of time into it. Only thing I’m knocking the rating for is the hints could use some work (e.g. might be nice to know when something becomes impossible to solve). The inevitable “however” bit, I think, comes from my own expectations going into the thing. When I saw the Solitaire Stories title, I imagined a bunch of creative alternate rules to match a story beat, or maybe some tailored minimalist scenarios to puzzle out based on character actions, or a gradual introduction to advanced techniques (if there exist such a thing), and so on. Unfortunately, all of the stories amount to “this thing happened. Now go play two games of solitaire to see the next thing.” Repeat. It would be unfair to ding the overall rating based on something I cooked up in my head, but it does feel like it could really be cool someday..Version: 1.2.1
✓ Really great for starting outI’ve grown up with everyone around me playing Solitaire and just never gotten the grasp of it. This game not only gives you everything you need to learn with difficulty settings that actually make a difference but the entire app looks and sounds great. ✓ It’s solitaire - you can’t go wrong! 🥰I absolutely love this. When I subscribed to Apple Arcade I had no idea a solitaire game would end up being one of my favourites! Super relaxing to play a few rounds of this before going to bed. Even if you’ve never played solitaire give it a try - I hadn’t played since I was a child, and forgotten what a good game it is. Just one suggestion - it would be really good if the game could let me know when a game is unwinnable. ✓ Lovely game, but this one achievementI adore this game. It runs smoothly, the soundtrack is comforting, and the stories remind me a bit of those story books you’d read to children without being repetitive. I only have two complaints. The first being that some of the decks and backgrounds are very harshly colored, and they do cause some issues with eye strain and headaches when playing for long periods of time. My second complaint is this one achievement, tactitian 3. I understand that maybe I’m just not good enough at the game to get it, and if thats the case so be it, but I feel like I’ve tried everything to win a game in under 100 moves. I’ve replayed deals that I can tell come out to a low move count upwards of 10 times trying to beat this achievement and the closest I’ve come to it is 109 moves. It’s frustrating and has left me feeling like it is a non-attainable achievement because again I’ve tried everything short of writing down what cards are in what stack. ✓ Easily The best solitaire game out thereI love playing a game of solitaire every now and again but they’re always so samey. No real challenge, no levels or challenges. Well this game of solitaire is nothing like I’ve described above. There are a number of different styles of solitaire that there will be something to suit everyone. If you want to play levels, there are story modes to play. If you want just a normal quick game of solitaire, there’s that too. I really enjoy doing the tournaments and collecting the prize pods to see what deck/background I have won. There are so many beautiful designs. The only improvement I could suggest would be more story modes but there are already loads, I’m just super obsessed with this game and played through them all to the point of 3 star. I would definitely 100% certainly say that if you’re going to download any card game then let this one be the one. You definitely won’t be disappointed. Enjoy 😊.Version: 4.0.1
✓ Active developersWas literally about to write a mid range review about how I want to love the game but it keeps going mad framey and slow and therefore making me frustrated. Lo and behold I come to the page on the App Store giving me the option to update and the update reading how they’d fixed a bug causing this. ✓ Very fun and creative, but 1 annoying thingI’m a long time solitaire player and have tried tons of solitaire apps, usually becoming bored by the same classic styles. So I’ve been thrilled by the really creative themes in this game, and although some are hard to play just because of readability of the cards they’re still fun to try to see the art work. And this game has kept me playing with the new themes added periodically. The “daily challenges” have been something that’s gotten me to play…you guessed it: daily, and has been fun having 3 challenges each day to earn points, even if I don’t care about what the points can do at this point. But for some reason when you redid the menu design you made it harder to get to the daily challenges and harder to do a 2nd or 3rd one in the process. And annoying when you complete more than one at a time and have to go several steps to claim the 2nd one. In the most recent update the “claim” button when you win a challenge doesn’t even work, so for any win you have to go back through the menu to find the challenges area just to claim it. If you don’t want us to play the daily challenges, then just get rid of it. Otherwise please fix it!.Version: 1.6

✓ New Christmas Cookie Story IssueI’m hoping the devs will see this because the new “Christmas Cookie Story” is great except that the numbers on the cards in the ace piles are impossible to see—and I mean totally impossible. I don’t see why that would be intentional—it certainly makes it more challenging but not in a good way! You could still keep the frosted look, just reduce it a bit or make the numbers black, but as is, I basically have to use hints EVERY time ti see what cards can be moved, which gets pretty annoying! ✓ Update:The game creators responding quickly to my first review , and I’m happy to report some great improvements to the game. The game note will automatically change to landscape view when I turn my phone, which makes it easier to read the cards. While some fonts are still difficult for me to read, there are many more with colors and fonts that I am able to read easily. The deck in the current “Light the Candles” game is beautiful -I hope it remains available after the special event is complete. The changes in the past few months have moved this game into first place in my Solitaire games. This could be a great solitaire game except for the font size and style. I play solitaire to reduce stress, but the font is too small, and it can’t be zoomed in to increase the size. The style of the font increases the problem of readability. There is a choice of style for different colors and graphics on card fronts and backs, but no large print option. Instead of making large numbers or showing the numbers by having the numbers suit symbols on the card face, they have one large suit symbol on each card. ✓ Mostly great but Leaderboard achievements are unlockableI’ve really been enjoying this game. The stories hook you in to play longer than you probably planned to (not complaining!) Some games are really hard but knowing that the story games are all beatable meant I kept trying and I think I’m improving my game. I love the achievements, and I’m trying to get them all (except the one about being top of the leaderboard- I know my limitations 😂), however, the achievements connected to placing in the top 50%, 10% etc of the daily contest leaderboard are not unlocking for me. I’ve tried playing as both 1 card and 3 card draw, and I can see my position number out of those that played would be in the top 10% for example, but the achievement stays locked. I wondered if it’s because the leaderboard doesn’t calculate your place as a % and so the achievement algorithm isn’t recognising it? Please fix it! Or I’ll never achieve my 73/74 🤣.Version: 1.4.1

✓ Latest update fixed my gripes!Edit: My major complaint originally was that the Apple Pencil didn’t work at all. I’m glad to see that the fixed it and it works very well. I’m finally getting into the game and I’m enjoying it so far. I’ll probably update with a more detailed review once I get further in. Normally I write really long detailed reviews, but I’m so frustrated this time I don’t really want too. I have a newer iPad Pro with the version 2 Apple Pencil which I use for lots of my apps. This app doesn’t support the Apple Pencil. At all. It literally has no response to any tapping, dragging, or anything. I find myself opening up the game, pencil in hand and wonder why it’s not working after several taps, thinking it’s dead, only to remember this is my only app to not support it. I have played it, but I have other solitaire games that work with the pencil and are still solitaire. I admit I don’t see myself playing this one until the pencil works. I don’t normally write harsh reviews, but Im confused on why a card game doesn’t support the pencil. I hated dealing with ads after each game on other solitaire apps and playing with real cards wasn’t convenient . However, playing with this game was much more fun! I enjoy all the different styles of cards and stories to go along with them. In addition, I enjoyed having different difficulties of games to make it more interesting or challenging. The music, sound effects, and animations are all great, and make this game super addicting! I only have one problem with the app, and that’s with the hints. They work fine most of the time, but I’ve noticed that when the game wants you to pull down a card that you’ve already stacked with your aces, it shows that as pulling down a new card from the deal. ✓ I love this game aside from one thingI absolutely love this game. I never thought I’d appreciate playing solitaire as much as I do now. It’s well balanced, and I thought long and hard to find an issue with this game. I managed to find one though, which is the only reason why I put four stars. I also want the devs to hopefully see my review. I would like for the stories to not restart their progress automatically. Here is what I mean: when you finish a story and get the last chapter, you quit to the main menu. When you come back to that deck, you’re back to square one again, but without the opportunity to update the badge thing. I find that it would be better for the progress to never restart unless you press the button yourself. Because of this, I replayed one deck a bunch of times to get more coins but I missed the opportunity to have the different badges. ✓ Fun game, wish there were better themesI love this game, I play it a lot and luckily haven’t had any of the crashing issues a lot of others seem to be having. The stories are great, some of the artwork is beautiful, but I had to drop it to 4 stars because most of the stories, and all of the new ones, have cartoon-themed decks with characters from the story on them. I just wish there were more “aesthetically pleasing” story deck themes. There are a few that are really gorgeous, but I don’t like the cartoon themes and there’s not enough variety to make me motivated to play as much. My biggest problem with this game is that quick-play games will hand you an unbeatable deck sometimes. More often than not I get decks that you can’t clear. I also wish there was an easier way to get to the daily challenges screen without scrolling through a ton of story modes/decks. ✓ Wonderful game with some small issuesFirst off, this is a super solid solitaire game that the devs seem to really care about and put quite a bit of time into. The designs are great, the animations are smooth, it runs well, the stories are cute, and it’s just good solitaire. I’ve run into a few bugs so far, specifically some related to the daily challenge not recording correctly, the auto complete not displaying when it’s supposed to, the undo button lagging significantly, and a few other things here and there. However, the devs seem to be actively updating and some of these issues may be known or fixed. The only other issue I’ve had is with the apps accessibility. Each of the story missions have stylized cards, which all look wonderful and fit the current theme. Unfortunately, a few of these cards either don’t take into account color contrast or include near unreadable fonts. This leads to having to use these difficult and frustrating cards to progress in the story modes. Overall great experience with a few problems here and there..Version: 1.3.1

✓ Great game, but needs an update for ios15I have been enjoying this game a lot, but since updating to iOS 15 I am experiencing problems where the cards seem to “stick” when first tapped on, I have to tap somewhere else on the screen for the action to be carried out. This wasn’t an issue on iOS 14.8. Also a request I would like to make is to have the deal deck at the bottom of the screen rather than at the the top. On my larger pro max reaching the top of the screen means using two hands to play but if the deck were at the bottom (where there is plenty of space) playing one handed would be possible. ✓ Truly Unique and Fun Version of SolitaireThis app took something that I truly thought that I’d have no interest in and mad me legitimately enjoy playing solitaire. It has beautiful and crisp graphics that somehow make cards look exciting, and has a very cool customizable deck system that makes playing the game even more fun. The stories, while simple, provide context for the ways that the deck looks, or the music that plays. They’re a very nice little thing to have, and give the game more length and depth. For me, this app is basically perfect, except I discovered a little bug. When I purchased one of the stories (was labeled as 50 coins), it didn’t show that I had it, so I clicked the purchase button two more times, resulting in the story costing 150 coins instead of 50. After it actually gave me the story, it still took 150 of my coins, unfortunately. While this is kind of my fault, and not a huge deal, it was kind of frustrating. Overall, this app has made playing card games more fun then I ever could have imagined, and the stories are a really great way to keep me engaged. ✓ I’m hooked on this gameHands down one of my most played games. I love the graphics and the SFX. I dig the stories and all the options from different decks to all the custom settings on the back end. Only one problem I’m stuck on the Trouble on Mt Tubular story. I got to chapter 4 and when I try to play the first game the app glitches and I can’t play. The skip button appears in the top right corner like it’s trying to show me story line slides and I can’t do anything but go play the chapters I’ve already cleared. Still a 5 star game for me though. It’s so calming while also so fun in such a creative way! The only thing I think would make this game better is if there was a way we could interact with other players that also enjoy the game. Can’t wait for more features and updates that could be added. Patch 1.4.2 is makes the touch issue worse. To get a new card it would lag. Now you have to swipe over the deck to have any chance of it working. Now the touch issue has spread to other cards on the main playing area. Please fix. ✓ Good ideas, slight improvements neededI love Solitaire so was very excited to download this game when it first came out. The game is good but a few things I have noticed: 1. The story games have no option to draw 3. (My preference.) 2. The level of difficulty in the quick play games is really tough. When I first played it I lost about 15 games in a row and in other versions of solitaire (one in particular on Apple Arcade) the win return is a bit higher. I was on the verge of deleting the game before I finally won at the 16th attempt.) 3. I would like the stories to be a bit longer rather than just 4 chapters or 8 games of solitaire. 4. But an issue I have with it is that when I’m playing story games and I’m trying to click the play button to continue on with the games, it will sometimes make me rewatch something. I know that I can skip it but it’s still frustrating. ✓ A true delightI’ve enjoyed various solitaire games for years, and I’ve identifies those I feel are the best and can’t be improved upon much. But then this game comes along and takes the qualities I already love and wraps them in delight. Sure I could save up and buy other decks, but the game is too tiresome to play when the colours are that close. ✓ Enjoyable, addicting and really fun Solitaire game!Solitaire is on of my favorite card games, when I noticed this in the arcade I got excited for it. Looked like it had potential lol. ✓ Fabulous 3 versions of Solitaire great graphics and storyI adore this solitaire game on my iPad! It has classic Klondike, Spider, and Tripeaks (my least favorite solitaire as it is too over done now). In Spider, you can play one, two, or four suit! Sadly you can’t change the suit being used in one suit, which is sad with the deck varieties available for the card artwork which is very cool! My most wanted feature as the rest is perfect! Single suit is very zen and relaxing for me, when distressing or puzzling over a technical issue at work. I love the weekly challenge stories and new permanent stories seem to be added semi regularly as well. I would recommend this game to fans of more than just the up/down solitaire!.Version: 3.7

✓ Rather Enjoyable but could do with improvementsThis game is fun, appealing on the eyes, sfx are great, story was cute, voice acted, and entertaining. However there are improvement that can be made. I noticed there are only 3-4 shuffle variations at each chapter/stage of the story mode. If you can’t beat a certain shuffle and select new game and continue to do this on the same chapter/stage eventually it recycles (this could very well be by design). Claiming daily cards screen stalls after pick, it should also navigate back to the list where you claim instead of the main menu or, better yet, just go directly to the next daily challenge claim screen if you already satisfied the requirements. All that being said I’ve played as much as time has allowed since release and completed the story mode. Will go for completionist achievements..Version: 1.2.1

✓ Fantastic game, highly recommend but some feedbackI’ve always loved a classic Solitaire game and for a long time, I never thought I needed a new one but this game almost instantly became my go-to app to chill to. Whether it’s mindless chilling while watching tv or just unwinding after work, it never fails to entertain. Some of my favourite features are: - The daily Solitaire puzzle - Multiplayer - Daily challenges However, I do have three points of feedback: - Recently, my app is struggling to connect to the internet so I can’t do the Daily Puzzle or Multiplayer. It has been this way for about a week now which is a shame as it’s my favourite part - Sometimes the timings on the events is incorrect, it will appear as finished when the event just started or say its coming soon after release - I wish there were more ways to spend coins in the app. I would use them to get more deck customisation if the animation for it wasn’t as long and I don’t have music enabled so don’t see the point in that. ✓ Alright, but…For a Solitaire game it does its job well. The stories are somewhat inconsequential and don’t really tie into the game at all, but are a nice enough bonus. The only issue I’ve really had is that if you reach a dead end in a game, it will tell you that all story games are winnable, so I restart the same game and try to play it differently if it should be beatable. After several failed attempts I get frustrated and use the hints to dictate every single move to show me what I’m supposed to do, and it still hits a dead end. So when it says every game is winnable, it’s lying. Some are unbeatable from the get-go no matter what you do..Version: 1.8.3
