✓ Ok...I LOVE you-cam makeup, it's really well made. But, I could say otherwise for this app. The quality is really crappy, and there is literally NO makeup choices is you choose not to buy the $20 subscription or whatever it is. ✓ Don’t get this…I would definitely not get this app because it won’t let u do any filters on yourself with the camera and it shows you one person that all you can do is mess around with. I want to try the ‘face smoother’ for myself not for a random person on the screen who does a little video of her messing with her hair. It doesn’t let you go full screen so it just looks like a YouTube short in the middle of your screen. I do have an IPad so it might be different for other users with iPhones. ✓ Terrible!Doesnt let you edit exactly where you want. If the blemishes arent exactly on the face for example on the neck or upper chest then you wont be able to get rid of them. Honestly one of the worst apps Ive ever used. Snapchat is better for editing.Version: 1.34.2
✓ Paid subscription, but they locked me outLoved the free trial so much, I paid for a year subscription. Even though I paid, I’m still limited to 15 seconds and have a watermark. Each time I click on the ad that says, “subscribe to get longer than 15 seconds” it takes me to a page that says I already have this subscription. ✓ Still LackingI’ve had this a few months now. It’s good for a lot of filters, no doubt. it just doesn’t wow me though. It’s as basic as any other photo filtering program. I am still on the elusive search for a video editor that will apply updates in real time while I record the video. I also want to find a filter like ‘Bold Glamour’ on TikTok and nobody can still come close to this one in these programs for some reason. As it stands though… It does a good job. It’s just that I can find several free programs to do equally as good so I don’t have a reason to pay for a membership. if a company can never provide something unique and give me a reason I’m certainly willing to spend the money..Version: 1.32.1
✓ ShadyI don’t care what this app is capable of. In fact I’m not even gonna test its features. As soon as I opened it I was asked to allow tracking even though I specifically have it set in my settings so apps cannot request tracking. The app told me I’d be able to disable tracking later in the settings. It weirded me out that there was literally no way to opt out right away but I thought whatever, I’ll just disable it right after I agree to it. Wrong move. There’s no way to disable it. There’s no option in the settings of the app or in the settings of your phone. Once you agreed to it they trap you. ✓ Video editorI paid for one year subscription based off the video editor advertisement. Once I paid and downloaded it I was disappointed. Unless you’re holding completely still on these videos you can’t use the make up or the looks selection because you will have eyelashes and lips and everything else jumping all over your face if you move.Version: 1.19.0

Then they took away all access. ✓ ALL AI filters lag to point of unusable!I already have youcam app, so I really only got this one for the AI video effects since I can do pretty much the same stuff in video mode on the regular youcam app, and I also already had the makeup app. Unfortunately, I paid the gull price for this app only to discover ALL the AI effects make the video lag so far behind the sound that they are unusable since they areobbiously not sync'd correctly- they really need to work on those! The regular effects all work fine without screwing up the sync between audio/video, however the effects will go across the entire screen and I personally don't have a lot of use for that since they go over the subject's face and obscure them to the point of distraction- the AI ones won't do that but again, unusable due to sync issues. As far as the makeup, I personally find you are just better off making sure you do your makeup well before a video- it will obvious when you have 4 sets of lashes when you blink, for example, that there is some "creative editing" going on here. I think this is more suitable for subtle adjustments, but then I can also adjust subtle things like color saturation, contrast, etc without this app. There really is no "fix" for making sure you look your best before a video- careful planning and execution is key..Version: 1.13.0
✓ Works Well, However Privacy/Permissions Is An IssueI was looking for an app to do light "Photoshop style" touchups of myself on videos to post to social media. This app totally does that and works well in that capacity. The reason I am deleting this app is it has a crazy amount of privacy permissions that it wants from its users. It wants to be able to use the tracking feature it wants to install cookies it wants all types of permissions that should not be necessary in a simple video editing app. I have no doubt that they have all types of rationalizations why their video app needs this information. NO other video editor - and I use many - has ever asked for these permissions/this information. ✓ I can’t get past the opening videoI purchased this app and was very excited to play. Once i opened it, I clicked the upload it took me to my pictures and when it came back to the app it was just there sample video - so I tried again and same thing now not giving a choice or showing my pictures or videos… I’ve tried over and over again and nothing just the same video and nothing to click to get out of it - it slows me to make changes to their video but that does me no good.
