Keeps going back to demo modeI followed directions for how to take the tree out of demo/store mode from instruction manual that came with the tree because this app has absolutely NO instructions on how to use it! It will stay out of demo/store mode for a few minutes and then go right back to cycling through the different light settings. Needs lots of work or some instructions on how to use!!!.Version: 1.0.3

LED Up Customer Service Non-ExistentMy family and I love our tree, but as others have mentioned, the tree is now stuck on demo mode. It’s hard to even light our tree this Christmas season when it’s constantly flashing. I’ve called the customer service number throughout the entire week and am directed to their voicemail exactly 1:06 into the call every time. I’ve also emailed 3x as the automated phone recoding states with no response, even though they state they will respond within 24 hours. Our instruction manual also states, “If the tree fails to light due to a damaged or defective remote control, please resort to a manual on/off push button foot pedal operation UNTIL A NEW REMOTE CONTROL CAN BE PROVIDED THROUGH OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER.” All I want is a new remote so we can enjoy our tree. So, so frustrating..Version: 1.1.3

Horrible DesignI could never get the tree out of demo mode. Went through Home Depot’s customer service and a part was supposed to be ordered. After 3 weeks it was still pending and I could get no reason or update as to why. I never could get this app to work either. The Home Depot store was no help either. I waited for over 30 minutes for a manager which the customer service person called 3 times. Now I’m stuck with a nearly $400 tree that stays in demo mode. The app and the remote are useless. I’m very disappointed in Home Depot and this experience has me limiting the about of business I do there in the future..Version: 1.1.3

DefectiveWe had to tighten all of the connectors to get the lights to come on. Still missing one row of lights. Remote control doesn’t work. Downloaded the app to 2 phones and still can’t get the tree off of store demo mode. Called the number on the instruction sheet. After 25 minutes waiting on someone to answer the call, I got put on hold “2-3” minutes for technical support. Over an hour later, my dinner cooked while I was on hold no one ever picked up. The guy got my name, phone number and sku number of the tree. I still have not heard back from anyone. I do not have time to spend hours waiting for someone to tell me I need a new tree!.Version: 1.0.8

Tree is beautiful, but too brightI haven’t had any issues with this tree and it is beautiful… but it’s definitely toooooo bright. If the app could be updated so we can change the brightness that would be great. I don’t imagine it would be that hard to do… it would make a lot of people happy..Version: 1.1.3

Home Depot failure of a treeTree seemed to work fine last year - put it together this year and it’s blinking and wonky. Managed to get it to stop blinking by pressing the pedal and plugging it into an outlet at the same time - but now it’s stuck in color only mode. I guess that’s better than most folks who are stuck on demo flashing mode. Remote has a green emitter light and I volt tested the batteries. It has to be the trees receiver that’s bunk..Version: 1.1.3

This review is kinda useful!If you guys are running around your house trying to find battery’s try checking your outlet plug this on the wire we’re some battery’s for the remote or that’s just me but anyways j hope that’s useful!.Version: 1.0.7

Doesn’t Totally Replace RemoteYou still have to use remote that came with the tree to take it out of the default “store” mode, where it cycles through all the settings after 3 minutes of inactivity, to “home” mode, where it stays on the settings you choose. After using the remote to set the tree in “home” mode, the app works as expected..Version: 1.0.7

App will not downloadI thought this year Christmas tree experience would be better then last year’s tree fiasco out the tree up fine so far so good at least it lit up but the problem I have is now when I try to download the app to operate it with my phone I am not able to download the app it only let me get so far and then that’s when things start getting nerve wracking. Last year I love using the remote on my phone but now this year using my new iPhone the app will not download for me so now I’m just stuck using the remote that came with the teee..Version: 1.1.3

Nice but wish it had a dimmer and timer!Really like the tree and app is easy to use so I’ll give it 3 stars. My version doesn’t have all the screens shown in the Apple Store. I would give this app 4 stars if it added a dimmer for the steady light function and 5 stars if it also added timer..Version: 1.1.3

Lights don’t workI loved this tree. Bought it. Put it up and got the biggest disappointment when the lights failed to stay on or even work. For such a large purchase you would hope it would all work for at least a year but, nope, failed to work right out of the box. Now we have to box it all up and schlep it back to the store and get a refund. 😩.Version: 1.0.7

Home Depot Grand Duchess balsam fir 7.5ftWe bought the tree today from Home Depot. The grand duchess balsam fir. Assembled it. But then couldn’t get out of “demo mode”. Tried everything (yes holding the two buttons at the same time very close to the tree). The directions are clear. This App doesn’t work… for $500 this was a huge disappointment and now we need to take it back. We thought buying an artificial tree would be so easy but now we question it because of the tech issue. Will the devise not work next year and we will be forced to return it again then? It seems the tree is no longer on the Home Depot website anymore. Must be defective do not purchase..Version: 1.0.8

Home accents flocked 7.5 treeThis tree is beautiful but worthless. The remote doesn’t work nor the app. The tree only works in demo mode. $400 waste of money. I called customer service and they said if I send the receipt they will Send me a new control module for the tree. The tree was purchased by our son that was here visiting. He paid cash and now he is back in Massachusetts and has no idea where the receipt is. Customer service said they can’t help without the receipt. I call bull butter. They know the tree is this years model and it doesn’t work. Send meThe dadgum module that you know is defective!!!!! I have a fancy tree that’s all decorated and it is in store display mode. Pretty tree but is very bright!The power button on the app does not change when clicked so you don’t know if the tree is on or off unless you’re in the same room. Same for all buttons but the power is most annoying. Also is very bright, needs a large room or it feels like too much light, but it’s a beautiful tree!.Version: 1.1.3

7 foot noble firLove the look of the tree but wish the transition of lights was cleaner. The flashing is way too harsh and not smooth so I’d rather just always have them on the on mode. I really wish there was a glistening mode or something that doesn’t look bad when in a dark room..Version: 1.1.3

Defective UnitI must have bought your defective tree… the remote or the app don’t work. I will call to see if I get a replacement cable… The tree is very easy to set up, and it is beautiful… Too bad everyone is having the same problem with the remote and app. They should provide two switch cables just in case….Version: 1.1.3

Scan every time?It works… but you have to scan the tree every time. Or you have to write down the code… every time. Why can’t they save the tree? What’s the point?.Version: 1.1.3

SO DISSAPOINTEDAbsolutely fell in love with this beautiful tree in the store. Unfortunately after many attempts to get the remote working I will return it. Have downloaded the app to both I-Pad and my phone more than once. Contacted customer service. Pretty Tree, Awful Electrical IssuesReally liked this Home Decorator's pre-lit 7.5ft Grand Duchess Balsam Fir. It's a beautiful tree and we loved it. Unfortunately, we had issues with the lights from the moment it was plugged in. Couldn't get it to turn on at first, then we couldn't get it out of demo mode. We've also had issues of the tree turning back on by itself after being turned off. Happen twice. The remote and app don't work. It never came out of demo mode. No support website for the tree or app. We'll be returning it to Home Depot tomorrow. BEYOND FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED!.Version: 1.0.8

Defective lightingI purchased this tree at HD and the lighting would not come out of the initial mode using the remote. I tried using the app but still did not have any luck. I attempted to contact the company and spoke with “Connie”. She assured me someone would return my call, however no one did. I also left messages on the customer service line. Also, attempted to send an email but that was returned as “mailor dameon”. So, to say the least very poor customer service. I ended up returning the tree to HD, with no questions asked..Version: 1.0.8

DisappointedBought our tree early and set it up to make sure all the lights work. The lights work but the app shows all these awesome settings but we can’t use any of them. We only have the color change page that looks just like the remote. It’s fine but thought we could pick our colors..Version: 1.1.3

Disappointed don’t waste your moneyBeautiful tree, but the remote and this app doesn’t work. The tree lights will turn off for about four minutes and then back up again on their own. Couldn’t switch “store mode” to” home mode” now I have to disassemble everything and take it back to the store. What a waste of time! And it was not a cheap tree ..Version: 1.0.7

Works after ordering partLike many others, the lights wouldn’t come out of “store mode”. I called the number in the instructions, they told me it’s a known issue and they sent a replacement part that arrived a week later. Now it works great. The app works perfectly now too..Version: 1.0.8

HorribleLike everyone else has been saying, my tree is stuck in demo mode. I have emailed the company at least 10 times with no response. I have called about 10 times and it says to either leave a message or disconnects me. So extremely disappointing and frustrating to deal with this after my tree has been fully decorated..Version: 1.1.3

Store mode issue stillUPDATE 12/4 went back to the retailer to return the tree. They said they might have a quick fix. The helpful staff explained they have boxes of replacement control panels and have been replacing these units constantly. It is NOT the remote. It is the control device that has the power cord and foot pedal. Once replaced it works perfectly as advertised. I have heard NOTHING from Ledup. BTW the app also now works fine. Good luck to all returning the tree but I wouldn’t bet on any response from Ledup support. UPDATE 12/2…2 emails, 2 phone calls, one app support submission and 7 days later NOTHING. The reviews raving about great support must be their own staff gaslighting. I’ll be returning the tree. 11/24 Read many reviews when trying to troubleshoot this lighting. Same issue as others. I’d give it zero stars if I could. No contact w support yet as it Thanksgiving day. We’ll see what that’s about..Version: 1.1.3

Not working properlyWe’ve had this tree for 1yr. Loved it last year and hate it this year. Not able to get out of Demo-mode. We have tried everything suggested. I have left several messages and emails. We even were going to buy another tree to try to switch module box, not the same as last years tree. Missing remoteBought a tree that was missing remote seen paper in box telling me not to worry go to App Store well it’s fine except my tree has timer options and now I can’t use with this app I new I should have just returned the tree being a hassle now I can only turn on off and change lights they need the app to do what the trees options have or send me a remote plz let me know if any other apps have the timer options plz.Version: 1.1.3

I wish the brightness was adjustableI got the 9’ one and everything works fine. The only thing is that the tree is huge with so many led lights and overall it’s tooo bright to keep it on all night! I actually noticed this in the home depot when I saw the sample but since it comes with a remote control I was hopping that we can adjust the brightness. Unfortunately the remore and the app doesn’t have this option. I thought I would ask here if they can add this option in the next update?.Version: 1.1.3

Nice Tree - TOO BRIGHT!!Please update the app so you can dim the brightness of the tree. You cant tell how bright this is under the white lights at Home Depot - buy once you get it in your house those LED’s are super bright. Don’t understand why there isnt a dimmer level on the remote or app. PLEASE UPDATE THE APP SO WE CAN DIM THIS THING!.Version: 1.1.3
