BreakAway: Indoor Training for Positive User Reviews

Wonderful appThis app is simple to use and does everything I want for my home training sessions. I’m a big fan of intervals.icu and the way this app integrates with that platform is superb. I wish there were more developers who see a key need and build something that does exactly what is needed without too many unnecessary features..Version: 92

Great App!I was trying to use this for my Echelon, but couldn’t..the developer emailed me back and forth trying to figure it out..turns out Echelon won’t work because they lockdown their Bluetooth 😒 BUT the app works wonderfully with my husband’s bike trainer and he’s enjoyed to app a lot..Version: 4.0

Almost GreatVery flexible/configurable app, and really nice to have direct integration with intervals.icu. The HR target/erg is also fantastic to mix it up from power based workouts. But please add some kind of option for one-time purchase to remove medals/ads, would happily pay..Version: 65

A fully-featured app to solve your structured training needsBreakaway is an app for people who want to save some money on the high-cost of structured training. For the equivalent of a few dollars a month, you can connect your phone to your trainer and import your own structured workouts manually or from services like Intervals.icu and Training Peaks. The app has a lot of features and customization options and the support is first class. If you’re more interested in training (Trainer Road, Today’s Plan) rather than virtual riding (Zwift etc), it’s well worth downloading to save a few dollars..Version: 65

Great Simple Smart Trainer ControllerI’ve been after a simple controller for my Saris H3 smart trainer. I don’t want an avatar, I don’t want to race people and I don’t want to pay £20 a month on a subscription and I want something that works on my phone. I’ve tried Zwift, TrainerRoad and Golden Cheetah but none of them ticked “my” boxes. The interface for Breakaway is simple and intuitive. The layout is similar to trainer road. The app connected to my Saris H3 trainer and my BT heart rate monitor without issue. First time every time. I’ve been using it a couple of weeks and if you don’t mind a couple of adverts in the banner, which I don’t, then I can highly recommend it. Would happily pay a one off fee for it..Version: 58

Great app for technical training.Great effective app without the hassle of virtual riding software. Hellish start to my first ride but simply needed to enable power matching. Paired with Strava and rides uploaded ok. Occasionally one fails but able to upload manually from IoS files, would be nice to trigger Strava upload /export from history (& not just via iOS email). In summary… a few setup choices needed but nothing overly complicated, works well with a great choice of training workouts..Version: 90

Best I’ve foundThis is a great, no-nonsense app for guided workouts and recording. It connects instantly and seamlessly to my Bluetooth trainer and to my heart rate monitor. There’s a great variety of built-in rides, and their organization by tags is helpful. Records of rides are left automatically for logging/analysis. This is what I was looking for..Version: 15.0
