Pok Pok | Montessori Preschool for Positive User Reviews

Love the game!We adore this game, and have recommended this to all our friends who are parents to toddlers. It is calming, open-ended, and non-addictive (my toddler can play for 15-30 minutes and put it down!) We are true fans of this game, and so thankful it was developed. Note to the developers: we love the game, but feel the latest update with Shapes maybe would’ve been better as a separate app, like a Pok Pok: Mini Games Edition. The timer countdown I feel defeats the concept of open ended and non-goal oriented play the other games previously on the app. Maybe an option to turn off the timer on parental controls? That being said my toddler does love the addition, and it helps encourage interactive play that I can do with her..Version: 34.0

My kids love it!Instantly a hit with the kids!.Version: 36.1

I like that the kids can determine their level of engagementIt’s not flash and lights. The kids can choose what interests them.Version: 35.1

Absolutely love it!This is a brilliant App, my 2 and 6 year old love it. And I also enjoy it too!! There’s such a variety of different options for them to play, choose & create all in their own way with them taking charge of how everything evolves and changes. Highly recommend!.Version: 31.0

Fantastic!I downloaded this app after wanting to find something to distract my son whilst getting dinner ready and dealing with the new baby and have been pleasantly surprised by how interested my son has been with these low intensity games. I’ve even found myself interacting with my son when he plays the village type mini game in this app, it’s so cute as he is able to drive a fire truck around and put out fires in the village (his favourite) plus use a road sweeper, garbage truck to pick up rubbish and even deliver mail! Yea it is a bit expensive but it’s also an app that constantly gets updated with new games and I think it’s worth it to support these developers in making games that are interesting to toddlers but not so addicting that you can’t get them away from a screen. So excited to see what they come up with next!.Version: 31.1

Engaging but not never endingThere’s enough interaction to keep my child engaged but not so much they want to play forever.Version: 30.1

Fun, interactive and thoughtfulMy daughter loves to unwind with this app. I feel comfortable letting her explore and create at her own pace. It’s a fun way to gain insight into her mind. We enjoy watching her create and share her experience. I enjoy knowing she is safely interacting with an app online, not talking to strangers. It’s nice to know you will not be charged hidden fees for an app your child enjoys, and knowing they will not be bombarded with ads. The creators produce updates on a regular basis, allowing your child to be kept entertained and interested. It can help build language and communication between parents and child. It allows for comments and open ended questions to occur..Version: 33.1

Worth the cost! Perfect balance of screen time with creative play.We have a 3 year old. We try to limit screens (20 min a day or longer if road trips) but not avoid it so she can learn healthy limits. This app is perfect because she can get her screen time but without zoning out during a tv show or getting overstimulated. This app is very calming, there’s no winning/losing or goal. Its simply exploring different scenarios and the entertainment is using fine motor skills to make objects gently move around. At first she had zero interest but once I showed her how to use it she got the hang of it and now calls it the moving people game!.Version: 31.0

Great app for kidsJust downloaded and my son loves the different options he gets. I’m feeling hopeful.Version: 36.0

Best appBest app for my toddler.Version: 31.0

Best thing we’ve found!!!TL;DR — GET THIS APP! 🤍 We try to limit screen time, and I’ve been recently thinking about how to use tech as a tool with our 3.5 year old vs just something to avoid at all costs. We’ve been looking for an app that we not only feel comfortable with, but also feel is benefitting him instead of just passing the time. I was not expecting this app to do so much, look so nice, or spark so much creativity in our little guy! When they say each part of the app is like a virtual “toy”… they aren’t kidding! Marble run, drawing, dress up, pretend play, you name it! I’m impressed with how much intention has gone into every aspect of the app. This might sound dramatic but this made me rethink what technology can be for my kids 🤯 I don’t feel the need to limit his use of this app at all. Just like with his toys, he comes to a natural end with what he’s playing with and wants to do something else. Sometimes it’s another toy in the app, sometimes it’s another toy in his playroom. We rarely have meltdowns when we are done with playing, and there are endless ways to play together in the app! I would absolutely recommend Pok Pok and, at the risk of them raising their prices 😜, think it’s definitely UNDERPRICED for everything you get! Love love love!.Version: 33.1

Guilt free screen timeThis game is absolutely worth the monthly subscription. My toddlers absolutely love the open ended world, activities, and sounds. It’s not overstimulating like so many other games and it’s been so fun to sit and explore with them. I bought into the subscription thinking I would cancel after a couple month, but I no longer plan to unsubscribe and it is absolutely worth the money. The Pok Pok team was even thoughtful enough to send my sons hand written mail with activities and stickers—which was so exciting and meaningful to them. Thanks for putting this out into the world! We’ve gotten so much joy from it!.Version: 24.1

Pok PokMy kids love this, ages 3-8!.Version: 17.1

Love it so farDownloaded Pok Pok after a recommendation from another parent. My toddler is 3 and he is really enjoying it. There’s so many things to discover, and more as he grows older. It seems to be very calm screen time as opposed to other options, or watching cartoons. He’s engaged but there’s no to little battle coming off (as long as we’ve set the boundary clearly!). All in all, I think it’s a really positive tool to my son’s development. Recommend!.Version: 28.2

Loving it so far!I looked into Pok Pok because of an account I follow on instagram. My son is possibly on the spectrum, he’s super into “characters” but I’m also looking for him to branch out and wanted to find a learning game I didn’t have to worry about him with. So here I am, thought we’d give it a try! So we just downloaded and still figuring everything out but so far so good! Only app I’m willing to pay for! My son is super into characters, but trying to learn without “characters” as well. He’s calling it “his people” game, he loves the drawing and coloring, and seems to enjoy the colors of Pok Pok. And I’m loving the freedom and open ended play, worry free with no ads..Version: 36.0

IncredibleAmazing app . Love the bubbles and how they have a picture of what your clicking. Love how you can touch everything and it makes sound. Very educational well done..Version: 36.0

We love this appMy family loves this app. My kids are 3.5 and 2, and both equally are engaged with it. Sometimes they watch each other and play together, other times they just play next to each other. On nights when one parent is out this is a life saver. We all try to minimize screen time as much as we can, but sometimes we all need help! We love the open-ended-ness of the toys and how new things always pop up. I love to watch my kid play and see what she chooses to do within each toy. We also love that people of all body types, family types, and appearances are present as it’s something that is important to our family. I especially appreciate the care that goes into every detail by the creators, and the welcome gift is so sweet! We ♥️PokPok!!!.Version: 25.0

Great!Got this for my 3 year old and he loves it! So many cool liked games and a great alternative to the usual kids games !.Version: 31.0

2.5 loves itShe’s worked it out pretty quickly and enjoys it!.Version: 36.1

Amazing!!We absolutely love this app! It’s so much fun for the whole family! Our almost 3 year old daughter plays this daily and loves to show off what she created :) and our baby (2 months old) loves the sounds ❤️ 10/10 definitely recommend!!!.Version: 5.0

4 YO son is a big fanMy son took a minute to warm up to PokPok, but it is now one of his favorite activities. He loves to play pretend so the interactive towns are a big hit, as is the city building game. But really he likes all of the different activities. I also appreciate that the devs seem to add new games at a decent frequency, and the user experience is genuinely impressive. The fact that he can use both hands to interact with the games is a huge plus too, as it is more intuitive for him. Obviously the biggest barrier for a lot of users is the price - on the one hand it is a fairly expensive app compared to others, but I would say that the incredible quality of the app and the lack of ads or constant prompts to buy things makes it worth it. Developers deserve to be paid for their work, so as long as the quality stays high and they continue to add content, I’m happy to pay..Version: 26.2

Love how open ended the app isThis app has no set play guidance or instruction. The child is able to keep using imagination while engaging with the many activities..Version: 36.0

Best gameThis game is perfect for children. It is challenging yet non addictive. Definitely recommend..Version: 28.2

Unexpected (and extended) fun!I read good reviews and decided to download this app in the lead-up to an upcoming trip. I did a test flight of the app the night before the trip and both our girls – 3 yo and 20-mo. old – loved it! No instructions necessary. Neither of them ever plays on phones/tablets and they played Pok Pok for what felt like forever, switching between games and making each exploring and interacting surprisingly naturally with each activity. To our surprise, they were just as interested during the flight the next day and we (the parents) have felt great about everything we've seen them do on the app. Thank you for proving that games can be fun and imaginative without using addiction-inducing tactics..Version: 36.1

Worth every pennyIt was a constant battle between my toddler and I over my phone because he would get into apps or get bored of the ones that don’t require a password. But sometimes a mom needs a little peace and Pok Pok in guided access mode both calms and educates my boy at the same time while I get some quiet and personal space from getting climbed on 24/7. At 1.5 he recognized that he could go to the sticker page figure out what that stickers animation was and then go to the live simulation play and use that stickers animation. So long story short if your a mama who just wants some quiet and not feel guilty: just download the app already.Version: 26.2

My daughter loves it.My 3yo loves the app. I can see her engaged and enjoying the mini games..Version: 36.0

The gift that keeps givingMy son has been exploring and playing with Pok Pok for over a year and he is always seems to find something new to find or do. The team at Pok Pok also keep making incredible new additions to the app, The Music Sequencer for instance is incredible. Keeps up the amazing work..Version: 10.0

Excellent use of screen timeWe love this for our two kids!.Version: 30.1

My favourite app for kidsPok Pok is outstanding, totally worth the cost. I love it for on-the-go entertainment; it’s engaging, calming, intuitive and the regular updates keep things really fresh and interesting. Like having a lovely playroom for my kids in my pocket..Version: 28.2

Love this appReally love this app , its great.Version: 36.0

Nice GameNice game for kids.Version: 30.1

Little One Loves ThisMy daughter (6) loves Pok Pok. It’s worth subscribing..Version: 21.1

We need more toys like thisCharming, beautifully designed, easy to use, creative and fun. A gem..Version: 6.0

Thank you💜My daughter enjoys playing the app all the time. We also appreciate the handwritten letter that was sent to us in Australia, all the way from Canada! Well done and all the best to Pok Pok team!.Version: 17.0

Great AppNice incentive (the free play kit). This app is great for kids of all ages but I really wish it wasn’t sub based..Version: 34.0

Mom trying to help other momsMy daughter has been using this app for about a month and she's only on it for a few minutes before she decides she wants to go outside and play, mind you she used to get fussy with me over a phone, overall i think this app has helped my daughter a lot as she's going out more and wanting to explore and interact more and not using screen time as much, compared to her being angry most of the day for not having screen time. did i also mention she loves showing her 1 year old brother everything in app so they both play and interact with each other, but if you go to their parental thing it also has a sort of guided sheet on question you could ask your child that way us as parents could also be involved with our kids on this app. P.S i love using this app myself as it soothes and helps me de-stress at night. also the subscription might not seem worth it but i promise it's better than paying hundreds for a child to go to an actual Montessori school if you don't have funds for it like myself..Version: 34.0

Great app for kidsGreat app for my 3 year old. The open ended play allows her creativity to come through. Lots of different activities to do and some she will need to develop a little more up to, so good ongoing use..Version: 26.2

Worth every pennyPrice point puts this app at an expensive end, however, my son uses this app to help regulate and it is amazing for him. He becomes calm and focussed, he talks about what he is doing in the lands, and loves the open ended play. He absolutely loves driving around the town and putting out fires and exploring the house. We’ll worth the yearly subscription fee!.Version: 26.2

Cute!Cute little game for poking around. Doesn’t seem to have a set objective, but the kids are enjoying it.Version: 36.1

I love it!There’s so many little activities for my son to do in the car or when we’re waiting out at the doctor’s office or waiting for our food at a restaurant. They keep him occupied and they’re all different, so it keeps him busy, but it helps his hand-eye-coordination and helps his problem-solving skills. He also lovesss the coloring sheets activity. I’ve tried a few, but this one allows for multiple strokes at one time and it’s very easy to change colors and wipe the screen clean. I think it’s his favorite activity on the app, and as much as we use it, the monthly subscription is extremely worth it..Version: 30.1

FantasticMy kids love this!!.Version: 36.0

Excellent open ended playGreat app for my three year old son, the only downside is the subscription. I wish it was a one off purchase..Version: 36.1

Love thisThis is a very different app for kids but keeps them busy for hours.Version: 35.1

Fun for me tooLove this app - saw it recommended by Ash GamerEducator and had to try it. It’s beautiful and so playful. I probably enjoy it as much as my little one..Version: 31.0

Keeps my son entertainedMy five year old loves this game a lot, so far it’s doing the job and gets him all creative with all the different features.Version: 30.0

Best game for toddlersThis is a great tool to keep toddlers entertained especially during dinner, and to help with development..Version: 36.1

AmazingTruly an amazing app! So much to do! Very clever and not overloaded, and the colour palette is beautiful. Also the team behind it super friendly and wonderful!.Version: 11.1

Creative play unlike anything elseMy little cousins love the fun sounds and interactions of Pok Pok! So many giggles together with thanks to this :).Version: 1.2

The best! This is my favourite kids app. It’s so immersive and my toddler absolutely loves making up little stories with all the moveable characters. I’m always happy to play this one with her as it’s so entertaining, even for adults. Whenever anyone asks me for app recommendations I always tell them to get this one. I love that it’s updated regularly with different fun things for kids to explore and it’s so inclusive..Version: 23.2

The most beautiful “game”We’ve just started to introduce our three year old to technology and she adores this game. It’s not really a game, but a series of toys that are really helping her get to grips with touch screens! She loves the drawing element, and it’s great for us too as we get through much less paper! She also loves the building game. Can’t wait to see how she progresses!.Version: 29.0

Engaging and funWas tired of hearing ridiculous shows on YouTube kids. This is engaging and fun, I don’t feel guilt giving her screen time when I need some quiet time..Version: 35.1

BrilliantThis app does what I have been looking for in other apps but have been frustrated not to find. Finally I have found this; a child-centred app that makes me feel like the developers want my children to do as well as I do and they aren’t just seeking to make a quick penny with a few tempting free games and then lots of in app purchases. My two toddlers love playing the games and the variety means they have so many games to enjoy..Version: 30.1

Really goodAmazing! The only thing I miss is some interactive content like counting etc..Version: 35.1

Fun App without too much complicationI got the app for my two year old as an alternative to just watching tv shows and sometimes still needing some independent play. She tends to get overstimulated and the simplicity of the app is great. Not a bunch of fast noise and excitement, just calming and fun. Highly recommend as an alternative to all those loud flashy games. Edited to add 3 weeks later: Be careful when using this app. My kids don’t ever let me have my phone anymore. I initially got the app for my 2 year old daughter. Then my 1 year old son got it one time and enjoyed it so much as well. Then unfortunately the other day on the way to the grocery store, I handed the phone to my 9 year old son to give to his little sister… next thing you know, even my 9 year old is in love with the app. All my kids keep taking my phone and constantly saying PokPokPokPok. There’s just something simple and calming about it while still providing plenty of educational entertainment. Highly, HIGHLY recommend..Version: 36.1

We love PokPok!PokPok has been a game changer in our house; we have two autistic kids who self regulate really well using the iPad but we struggled to find quality age appropriate apps. They are now able to manage their own screen time well, always find something new to engage with and especially love the seasonal updates. Love that it doesn’t need wifi either so great for planes. Thanks PokPok!.Version: 33.1

FabulousI can’t recommend this game enough, with soothing sounds and beautiful graphics my kid who is on spectrum , loves it and it is something that even I as a parent promote. Other games are too loud and could easily lead to sensory overload but PoK PoK is amazing. Will recommend to everyone with or without ASD.Version: 35.1

Ad-free, safe and friendlyMy toddler adores Pok Pok. It’s perfect entertainment on a long journey or as a distraction when he’s under the weather. The city, house and now the shops let him create his own stories and explore aspects of the real world that he can’t get hands on with yet. There is a subscription, but given the quality of the design, the entertainment value and most importantly the lack of any advertising or sales pitch at all, I am more than happy to pay it. It’s great to be able to support the devs as well - especially since they’ve even started offering an IRL activity pack!.Version: 11.1

Our #1 Childs ApplicationMy child(ren) loves this application. I was looking for an app to download for my child to enjoy and this one has been the perfect match. We love the variety of mini games within the full app. It encourages imagination play, while giving the user resources to play with. Children can have a short attention span, and so having a variety of mini games available within the main game has been beneficial to keeping their attention. I like the parent/adult section of the app where I can view my child’s artwork and other guiding resources. A suggestion that I would have on this app is to have a lock that keeps the game open, and prevents opening other device applications while in use. While my child typically plays next to me, it only takes a split moment for them to leave the app and open another application on the device. So having some sort of passcode that has to be entered in order to escape the app, would be beneficial. We look forward to continuing exploring this app and seeing the progress of growth. Thank you!.Version: 26.2

Delightful and imaginativeLovely app with gorgeous design and illustrations that lends itself to imaginative open ended play. Loved by young and old alike in our home!.Version: 36.0

EntertainingGood for toddlers and not too overwhelming or overstimulating. Well designed with enough sound for engagement but doesn’t annoy everyone around you..Version: 24.0

Beautiful and calmingWonderful way to encourage thoughtful calm time and decompress from school..Version: 30.1

The best phone game for toddlersI LOVE this game for my little guy; he really enjoys it and it was user friendly for him as he quickly understood how to explore the different game bubbles. His favorite thing was putting ingredients in the oven and it turning into a cake and then feeding it to the dog. I like that it gets them thinking critically and explore using imagination. As a parent, it’s the only app I like for him to play because not only is it educational (in ways other apps arnt) but it’s close looped meaning he can’t somehow get stuck on a billing page or upgrade request page. He doesn’t need me to help him navigate it as it’s super toddler friendly! Game changer for long car trips or waits in a doctors office where I need him to sit still. I will be using this as our go to game and recommending it to friends with kids (found out one of my close mama friends already loves it as well!)..Version: 24.2

Love Love Love this appI reluctantly downloaded this app mostly because I didn’t want my son to have screen time but I was getting ready to go on a trip, having some difficult personal things going on and needed a back up plan just in case. This is exactly as advertised. It’s not addictive but exciting enough to engage him, and he has actually learned things and gained interests from parts of the app. His latest obsession is volcanoes from one of the features. There is also a lot of care put it to it from the developers who sent my son the sweetest note and stickers as a thank you for downloading and purchasing..Version: 27.1

Kids love itMy kids love this app. Got no worries what they are playing and learning. 😊.Version: 30.0

Loved by neurodivergent 5 yr old (and his OT mom)!So glad I saw another mom recommend this on a social media post because my 5 yr old autistic son absolutely LOVES this app!!! There are so many choices within the app which gives him a sense of control, which is so helpful. It is interactive but without “wrong” choices, which is also huge for him. It has lots of different visual input but is not overstimulating, which can be rare for apps. It is also a calming and grounding tool for him to help regulate him if he’s gotten dysregulated. I like that he is able to practice some fine motor control in a fun way using a screen. I also really like that they change up the games within the app now and then to keep him engaged - because he certainly notices every tiny little tweak! To sum up, I love this app and have recommended it to all of my mom friends and even to his pediatrician for her kids and other clients! Thank you to the Pok Pok team!.Version: 33.1

Cute!Wish it was cheaper..Version: 30.1

Great open ended playMy kids (aged 2 and 4) love this app and I love it too! It’s so different from other apps as it allows them to be creative and play in whatever way they choose, rather than to play with a specific goal or end point in mind. I love to see them take the lead and play with it in their own unique ways..Version: 1.1

Great preachool appI was looking for a game for my preschoolers to play when we go on a long haul flight. My 4 year old loves exploring it and finding new things. I like that it isn’t too hard for her to stop when it’s time to finish - it’s definitely not built to be addictive..Version: 26.2

This app is amazingMy kids absolutely love this. It helps with their problem solving and lateral thinking. They love being able to solve things and discover new ways to interact with the worlds. Even the grownups have fun playing.Version: 28.2

Best kids gameSuch a great game that you can give to kids and let them play independently if you need. Both my 5 & 2 year old love it, and it’s intuitive enough that they can play on their own when necessary. When you sit with them, the language opportunities are amazing as they love talking to you about what they’re doing..Version: 30.1

Couldn’t love it moreMy three year old absolutely loves this game there are so many great choices and he finds it really calming to play. A great use of screen time that keeps him regulated and allows for so much exploration!.Version: 36.0

Open-Ended Play is Fun for ALL!I cannot hide that my husband and I play with this app on our own sometimes. What’s great is that it’s fun for everyone, which means we are playing alongside our 2 year old. We ask questions, she asks questions, and we are both excited to play. She absolutely loves all the different arenas and it seems like it’s just endless possibilities for her to explore. She loves showing us her creations and discoveries. I honestly love testing out all the different things to do, too. This is Montessori for the modern age, open-ended play that evolves with the child, and the child is in control of what they want to dig deeper into. We love this app..Version: 26.0

Neuroscientist mom approved!I have 3 kids ages 2,4,6 and this is the first app that I introduce to them. I’ve tried different apps for kids but they didn’t met the criteria I had to introduce to my kids. They were too fast and over stimulating ,too many ads and too many extrinsic motivators. Pok Pok is EVERYTHING I have ever hoped for in a kids app. Child-led meaning that it’s internally motivating, slow-paced, and appealing to all their senses as well! I love it so much! Highly recommended!.Version: 4.1

Best Kids AppProbably the best app for toddlers and young kids. My daughter has LOVED Pok Pok since she was around 2 and I was looking for a little app to entertain her here and there. The mini games and activities are fantastic and full of things to explore. So wholesome, fun and lots of things to play with. The recent Marble Run addition even has me playing with it when she’s asleep!.Version: 13.2

Kids love itMy kids love this game. It’s so nice and gentle and I’m thankful there’s no ads every 2 seconds for them to constantly ask for more games!.Version: 31.0

4 yr oldSo fun and creative my little loves how open ended this play is..Version: 36.0

The only game on my phoneI have never written an app review, but this one earned it. I love the slow, gentle style of the games. They’re not annoying, in fact, they’re almost soothing. It engages my 3 year old, but doesn’t put him in a trance. He will play for about 10-20 min then move in to something else and come back a little while later. We like to play together and talk about what we see in the beautiful illustrations. Probably the most meaningful part was the hand written card and activities from the company 🥹. I recently bought a year’s membership, and have shared it with my mom groups too..Version: 24.1

The only game app you need for your toddlerAmazing, just wish I had thought of it. We try to avoid screen time but when needs must, this is a game changer. Both our 2 year old and 4 year old love it and it’s not the same addictive rubbish that they normally have on kids apps..Version: 26.2

Price is high but shows promiseGame looks very nice, shame the subs price is so high - subs for everything these days leads to an unhappy bank balance (for me).Version: 29.0

My 3 year old loves itThis is the first game he’s played and he is really engaged with it. Definitely recommend.Version: 31.0

Pok PokWhat a refreshing way to engage children, A throwback to when we’d give the kids a bunch of empty boxes and other random odds and ends. They could create whatever they imagined without fear of making a mistake. This will be a calming yet creative experience for children. The sounds are also wonderful and bring a smile to my face as I experience them! Enjoy! As I’ve spent more time with Pok Pok, I’ve come to wonder if it would be a great app for people with cognitive issues. Because it is open ended and one can’t make a mistake, the user won’t get locked out of the app and therefore get frustrated. It is colourful and musical in a way!.Version: 1.0

Endless FunA great toy for kids of all ages, and even some adults too. Encourages kids to think and problem solve.Version: 28.2

Love love loveAbsolutely love this app for my kids. They both play it endlessly. It’s their favorite. I love that it allows them to explore and play without needing my help because they need to figure it out on their own and have their minds work in their own way. I also love how the creators send emails when there’s an update!.Version: 36.0

Love this app!As a born again Christian widow with 2 kids under 18, I have an autistic teen with PTSD, high anxiety and depression. I also have a 5 year old with high energy and possible ADHD…possibly. They both are sensitive to loud noises and enjoy playing around with the app of gadgets and gizmos, sounds, buttons, cute music, bells, flipping switches and creations. It’s like the discovery lab or discovery/ exploration museum’s but all in one app. It’s great for places like when we’re waiting for the doctor at appointments, when you have the kids with you at the DMV/MVA, and the like or just because. Places where you have to wait long periods with kids or even kids on the spectrum, Pok Pok is a great app to by some time and have some fun…. Quietly lol. Sago Mini World and Sago Mini School are along the lines of wonderful apps. I have them all and highly recommend!! 5 stars 🌟 💫all around!!.Version: 14.4

AmazingGreat app so easy to use..Version: 33.0

Colourful, creative and worth the subscriptionWe’ve had Pok Pok on our iPad for ages. Our four year old really enjoys it, and he uses more than half of the games on a regular basis. There’s enough variety in the town and harbour games to absorb him, and keep him thinking. There are updates on a fairly regular basis, with seasonal additions – this makes the subscription worth it in my view. Definitely worth giving it a try..Version: 21.1

AmazingNever let my child really use phones or be on my phone at all. Granted, activity boards only entertain a child in the car for so long. I saw this app listed in Apple’s end of year list for best apps. “Looks interesting and educational. I’ll download it and try the free trial.” There are times you really need the extra help and need a spare second or the extra time to do something-enter PokPok. The app is absolutely amazing. My daughter actually learns, and has to figure things out on her own. I’m glad that PokPok was the first and only app I have ever introduced her to. It’s definitely worth the investment, and I plan to renew when this month expires. I even play the games, they’re so fun and interesting and informative..Version: 31.0

3 year old approved!Let me share our story with you all. In the midst of preparing for a plane ride with my two children, I was in a frenzy trying to find any and everything to keep my 3 year old occupied while I would have my 10 month old in my lap, tending to him. I scrolled through a bunch of kid-friendly, educational apps and ended up downloading Pok Pok along with some other great, high quality learning apps that he could play while we were on the plane. Let me tell you, my 3 year old LOVED Pok Pok during the free trial. He ended up liking it so much that once the free trial ended, he was still talking about it. We don’t do a lot of screen time, but it was such a fun and explorative app. I mentioned paying for another month to my husband, who was very hesitant (he doesn’t believe in paying for apps) so we left it at that. Then about a month or so later, we got the little “play kit” in the mail that was basically stickers and another activity, as well as a handwritten note to my son from the Pok Pok team. My son was SO HAPPY and immediately recognized Pok Pok. My husband was impressed and purchased the yearly subscription right after. 💞💞 thank you Pok Pok!!.Version: 33.1

Best gameMy kid loves this game, will sit on it for hours on end! It occupies her throughout the day, when we’re travelling and also teaches her new things. Definitely recommend!.Version: 30.1

Simple and educationalMy daughter really enjoys this app!.Version: 36.0

Simple and thoughtfulYou can tell a lot of thought went into designing this app. It’s beautiful to look at and carefully designed for kids– heck even I enjoy it as an adult. Great if you want to introduce technology at a young age without over stimulating or exposing your kids to gambling and in-app purchases..Version: 1.1

Exceeded my expectationsMy son is 3 and likes the tv way too much, my husband and I have been looking for ways to keep him entertained without so much stimulation. He is a hyper active kid so i was skeptical that he would like this app because it was so flat and almost seemed boring lol. Its far from it! He loves it so much, he would play with this all day if i let him( which I dont) but they really do get to be creative and actually use a lot of skills to play these, its safe, calming and he can do it all with out my help which is nice when im trying to get stuff done. All in all very impressed. I stand behind Montessori.Version: 30.1

It’s a great appThis app is great but the only bad thing is you have to have subscription to play for a long time and I think you should just pay for the app instead or having a subscription.Version: 8.0

Great games and easy to useMy 4 year old son loves Pok Pok and he can run the whole app without my help! It’s been great for road trips and the muted colours and minimal sounds are the best part..Version: 36.0

Cool appThis app is really cool for kids my child is 3.5 autistic and he really likes the app definitely worth a try!.Version: 36.0

So fun! When I first downloaded this game I thought that it wouldn’t be very fun but was actually surprised. It’s very true to what it says in the description. It’s a non-stimulating game full of digital toys. And it is very fun, even for an adult. My toddler took to it right away and enjoys it each time he plays. Surprisingly he doesn’t get mad when I take it away. Which was something promised in the description. I didn’t really think it would hold true, but he really doesn’t get super attached to it. I have to mention also that this is a game/app that I don’t feel guilty about letting my toddler play with. It’s not something I just let him play whenever. But it really does come in handy in difficult situations for example, the doctors office, long car rides, etc. I’m sure it is a game he will enjoy for quite a long time..Version: 36.1

Fantastic! So far my little one loves it! Very easy to use and very colourful!.Version: 30.1

A Safe, and Friendly Toy RoomThis is by far the best kids app ever created in the App Store. This is a place to adventure, and explore. If you are a parent, get this app. No crazy ads, well worth the price. Throw on Guided access and you now have a safe place for your kid to roam around. The only suggestion I have is to make it so that you can click the logo on the Home page of the app and make it say “Pok Pok” - my kid loves the intro sound..Version: 1.2

Perfect low-stimulation app for kidsMy daughter was starting to get overstimulated constantly by her fire tablet. The apps were flashy, required unlocking and were teaching her diva behaviours. My partner saw an ad for Pokpok and recommended we reset an old ipad and only get educational and low stimulation games. Pokpok is one of the games my daughter loves the most. She even loves saying the name. We are a big fan of pokpok in our house as we strive to use technology responsibly..Version: 36.0

Brilliantly designed app that is actually worth the subscriptionYes it’s a subscription. Let’s get that out or the way. No one likes subscriptions. But this is honestly one of the few apps I don’t mind paying a subscription for. Because of the incredible attention to detail and frequent improvements. You’re paying for a premium experience. No ads, no silly in app purchases. My kids will happily spend hours in the various screens especially the shops and city. There are an enormous number of interactive elements and things combine in clever and delightful ways. Put a person in a shower, or food in the oven, or a letter in a letterbox, it just works as you would expect, triggering funny animations. The visual design is cute and the sound design is non-grating if you’re an adult overhearing it..Version: 12.1

So far so goodJust testing things out still.Version: 36.0

My soon loves this game! Many different options and creating which is his fav thing to do!.Version: 36.1

Wonderful app for curious young mindsI cannot rave enough about how fantastic Pok Pok Playroom is. Its beautifully hand drawn designs are perfect for creating a calming environment for play and exploration that is not overstimulating for young kids. My 2 year old loves playing with all the different sections in Pok Pok and it never ceases to amaze me how he manages to find new and creative ways to play and explore each part. It’s a brilliant app that will help in developing a child’s curiosity, imagination, creativity and ability to think outside the box with play based learning and I have definitely seen this with my child (I even love playing with it myself so it’s also a pile of fun for adults). I particularly love that it’s an app that embraces and exposes kids to the concepts of diversity and inclusiveness. Well worth the subscription with plenty of updates to the app to keep expanding their little minds. I cannot thank the team at Pok Pok Playroom enough for developing such a magnificent app - they are most certainly a creatively skilled and talented team..Version: 8.1

My kids love itThey are always occupied in this app.Version: 36.1

Neurodiversity finds its home!I have four kids 2.5 through 8 and this game got a home run do all of them. The littles struggles with ad and frustration at not playing “freemium” games through the stages, ads and interruptions while my 8 year old is autistic and likes open ended, reality based things better. The spinning swirling illuminating noise honking busy board is endless. And the marble run! Pure genius!! My gifted six year was entertained as well exploring Pok Pok’s world without limits. The child’s mind drives the play even though it’s a screen. I heard so much speech and excitement! Closest thing to imaginative play outside of the physical toy box. This app is truly a wish come true!!.Version: 21.2

A rare gem - Actually designed for childrenThe App Store has a multitude of apps ‘for children’, but only very few are crafted with a deep understanding of how children interact with the device, how they learn & how they develop over the 2-6 age range. Pok Pok is a rare & exceptional thing. Lovingly & meticulously made to the highest standards. I’m writing about this incredible app because I see a few people upset at the subscription model. If you can’t afford a subscription at all, that’s understandable, but it’s not really fair to slander an app that has clearly dedicated a lot more time & resources to its development than 99% of the others in its category. If you are spending money on other apps, I’d suggest it would be better invested here, for your child’s well being and that of others by supporting an actual quality product made with a child focus. It’s a remarkable and ever growing achievement and sets a new standard I hope others take note of and follow. Truly deserving of the Apple Design award it received..Version: 9.2

Toddler/ Child Heaven!Just about to embark on a trip and thus is a must have for some open ended no mind numbing play while you journey 👏🏻😊.Version: 36.0

PokPokGreat educational game for toddlers.Version: 30.0

Fantastic! My kid and myself we love it! A variety of games, so beautifully designed, colourful and interactive! We love the globe one fantastic to model language, cause and effect one is also fantastic, and we also love the house one! We love them all actually! Thanks!.Version: 26.3

Wonderful and age appropriateWe are very hesitant about screen time and games for our 3 year old and have avoided except for long road trip car rides. This game has allowed my 3 year old to pick what she wants to do and switch between these activities with a lower stimulative level than most games designed to keep your attention. We have zero tantrums or meltdowns at the end of use where as the tv and other highly stimulative things cause. With a basic color scheme and no flashy lights and sounds to force attention we are extremely pleased and highly recommend..Version: 36.0

Awesome app for toddlers! We love pok pok because our child talks to us throughout his playtime and we can engage with him in a meaningful way..Version: 23.2

Excellent app for kidsThis is an excellent and non rip off app for our kids to play everyday. Love all the quality and interesting game in app. Definitely recommend to others..Version: 30.1

Educational but funSuch an amazing app. Not overly stimulating so I don’t mind our daughter playing it! What a wonderful idea.Version: 33.1

Keeps 2 year old occupiedI downloaded some other educational games for my child and when they have to stop it’s usually tears and tantrums but with this app it’s as if he’s not zoning out to the point of meltdowns. Love it!.Version: 33.1

Locks them in while keeping them learningJust played one afternoon on this and impressed with the sounds and (basic looking) animation that keeps things not too intense but still engaging. The price is really expensive though - as much as Netflix which is enjoyed but the whole family… not sure if we will be able to justify paying beyond our trip..Version: 30.1

Warmed up to itMy son (3) initially didn’t like this app for some reason which was a shame because I thought it was super cute and loved that it was marketed as a toy rather than a game. One day he wanted to draw on my tablet and somehow got over to our expired pokpok subscription and wanted to play it so I bought it again. Well, he loved it. His favorite modes are the boombox, the music maker, and the drawing grid where I think the draw is that they don’t have to do straight lines, they have that grid guidance. I think some of the modes are very minimal in terms of what you can do in them so he doesn’t go in them very much but overall as long as the same attention to “play” and mindful-minimalism is put in by the team, I have hope for new game modes and I’m sure he’ll love them. So we’re subscribing for the foreseeable future..Version: 26.2

Our whole family loves this app! This is the only app I let my 3yo use, and she absolutely loves it. It is thoughtful, aesthetically pleasing, creative yet simple and so easy to use. Watching my toddler discover new games, patterns and ways to play over the last few months has been fascinating. She also doesn’t zone out, she likes to talk about what she’s doing and often invites us to engage with her as well. I also love how inclusive this app is! As well as how it is regularly updated to reflect current events and holidays/festivals from all over the world. I may have even picked up this app a few times when the kids are in bed and got lost in exploring the tiny town and it’s inhabitants. Worth every penny of the subscription!.Version: 23.2

Great AppSeems like a great screen-time learning resource as an alternative to YouTube & Disney ..Version: 36.0

My LilGirl loves PokPok!She stays busy with the app and loves playing with whatever she plays on there. Had to get the year so she can play uninterrupted 💖.Version: 36.0

Amazing design which engages my sonJust love the the whole ethos and style to this app. Brilliant updates with diverse representation.Version: 24.0

Finally a game app I feel comfortable using for my little one!I’m so glad to have stumble across the Instagram page for this app/community. Finally a game app that I was keen to introduce to my 3 year old. She is starting to explore and really enjoying it!.Version: 30.0

So cute and engaging!I love this app for my kids. They both love different parts of Pok Pok and it’s fun to watch them explore. They’re always so proud of themselves when they find a new button or make something work in a new way. It’s also very calming for them, unlike a lot of the other technology available to them..Version: 26.2

Montessori appExcellent app for children, used while travelling as we limit screen time. This is one the only app I’ll allow my child to use. Full of fun but not overly loud of bright games and learning opportunities. It seems well planned and research. Thank you.Version: 30.1

Pok PokI’ve signed up for this excellent app for my 4 grandchildren & they love it - from the 1 year old to the 4 year olds, they devour it and return to it time and time again. The games are engaging, educational and great fun and nothing they’ve played previously has kept them coming back for more in this way. We’re still on the free trial, but, despite my aversion to subscriptions, this one looks like a ‘keeper’ - thanks, Pok Pok!.Version: 31.0

We Love PokPok!My kiddo was diagnosed with ASD not to long ago and we’ve been trying to find anything that can help with meltdowns especially when we’re at the store and pokpok helps him so much, sometimes he will just turn on the music and listen to it play while we’re shopping around and especially in the car it helps calm him down when he’s overstimulated which is good! Even at night when we’re trying to wind down from the day he likes to play it and helps him to fall asleep and it’s good bc it doesn’t take very long. It’s also a good app for if you want a good amount of screen time, I noticed a lot of the games are cause and affect he’s definitely learning which helps me bc I’ve had a hard time trying to get him to understand what hot and cold is and facial expressions so I like that he gets extra attention on those areas..Version: 31.0

Speechless Special Needs momI actually seen this game as advertisement on instagram. And for some reason I decided to look into it. I cannot speak for the value of this game. It is truly unimaginable.! There is so much possibilities in this game. It may say it is for ages 2-6 but my gosh I am an autistic adult and I am a mother to an autistic 15yr old girl. I do have a subscription. But my gosh is it worth it. Both my daughter and I have been playing this game for hours on end. There are endless possibilities. Everytime it’s something new to explore. This is a major hit.!!!! For children, teens and adults alike.!!! My ONLY tweak is please add more disabled children characters my daughter is in a wheelchair. Please and thank you.!! Thank you for such an amazing game.!!!!!!.Version: 18.1

So confusedDownloaded, signed up for a free trail and now am having to write a review. Where the games at?.Version: 36.0

Guilt free toddler distracted! This app has been a great and guilt free way to keep my toddler distracted at times when i just need to get stuff done, i love how educational it is!.Version: 33.1

Excellent AppI’ll admit I was a little skeptical. A Montessori iPhone app? I was pretty sure those two things were mutually exclusive but I thought I’d give it a try for my 3 year old. Something new to keep him busy while I do school with his older siblings. Something that would hopefully engage the mood of our school day without disruptive and distracting explosions, car races, or painful nerve grating songs. I must say this app did not disappoint. It engages him in a way that isn’t overstimulating or disregulating and has enough content to keep him interested. I was very pleased. It did what I wanted it to do. Because the app utilizes the family share option (thank you!) it loaded on every iPad in the house and later that day I noticed my 10 year old was playing it on his iPad. I asked him if he was looking at his little brother’s new game, he said, and I quote, “Oh I thought you got that for me. I think I like it better than Roblox.” 😳 I don’t know what you guys are doing but keep it up…and maybe notify me when you have any new apps? 😉.Version: 31.1

Great AppJust downloaded and my 3.5 year old already loves it . Challenging and fun !.Version: 36.1

Great alternativeMy daughter loves this and I’d rather her spend time on this than other things.Version: 30.1

Just get it! I promise you’ll love it!You can tell by all the reviews this app is so cute and very easy for the kids to play with without annoying ads or the constant need to look over their shoulder to make sure it’s appropriate! My 3 year old stays at home with me and it can get boring sometimes so I downloaded it and they love it! There’s tons of options and little fun games and activities for them to do without it being overwhelming. When I downloaded it I played with the app for 30 mins(sadly, I’m not lying lol) it’s fun and allows your brain to relax in a way? We are a Jesus loving family and my children aren’t allowed to play most games but this one gives me peace of mind that nothing that we don’t teach in our household is on the game. It’s very neutral and the best part is there’s no annoying sounds!!.Version: 33.1

Easy, simple and not over stimulatingAs a parent, we are all concerned with not over stimulating our children, particularly when screens are involved. I downloaded this for a long car trip and my child chatted and played along in the back seat, telling stories about the people going to get ice cream and getting their dogs washed. Great to promote imagination..Version: 31.0

Great appWow. Incredibly beautiful and fun for kids of all ages..Version: 3.0

Truly free playThis digital game encourages free play in precisely the same way that my child plays with physical toys. Play is open ended and responsive just as physical environments are responsive. My child’s imagination is sparked - excited when there’s a fire to put out, oil to sweep, or garbage to pick up. There are many modules, though undoubtedly you and your child will pick your favorites. Unlike so many other digital games, I don’t feel like it’s just a way to get my kid to sit - it truly is educational and engaging for him. I will play with my child even when I could walk away and do the dishes or enjoy my restaurant meal. Truly the best digital content for toddlers and young children that I’ve ever encountered..Version: 26.2

Love this appMy daughter loves playing it.Version: 24.0

Great app!Keeps my child engaged! A lifesaver on the plane.Version: 35.1

Baby GeniusMy baby (2 year old toddler) loves this game or activity app, not sure how to describe it. The app says it’s not addictive but it takes me a while to get the tablet away from my daughter. It’s definitely a good investment, I see that she is learning from the game, moving objects, dressing people, putting food in blenders, bubbles in the shower and sitting people ion the toilet, dancing with the music juke box or whatever that is, small things for me but huge steps for her. Only complaint is that I wish the “bug” world was bigger, it’s small compared to the other ones, and it needs a jungle full of animals. In short, I totally recommend this app to other parents. UPDATE: My toddler has become addicted to this game. She likes it a lot and constantly asks to play Pok Pok. Also, I respect people who are gay, but doesn’t mean I want others to teach my values to my daughter, this app is filled with that stuff, it’s subtle, but it’s there. I wish there was more neutrality from the developers on that issue..Version: 35.1

New userGreat app so far, still discovering all options..Version: 33.2

Pok Pok creative explorationWe love Pok Pok! My daughter is 7 and loves exploring the different activities, making music, and more! Highly recommend this awesome Montessori game!.Version: 36.1

I’m an 86-year-old cartoonist and I love Pok PokIt’s hard for adults to see the world with the openness of a child. i looked at Pok Pok when I saw that it had won an Apple Design Award, tried it and explored it with my wife. Pok Pok has so many roads to discovery, with six different game rooms. They’re loaded with delicious hand-drawn art that responds to touch. We started poking with one finger. Quickly, my wife discovered you could use both hands at the same time. One finger, two, all fingers! You touch, things happen. Stuff moves, squawks, chirps, whistles, hoots, whirs, burbles, crackles, thuds. And there are subtle lessons hidden in many of the toys. For example, an abacus lets you move the beads in unison or one or a few at a time. I’m sure that a little child eventually will make the connection that all are more than one and two aren’t quite as many. Thus will begin the process of counting. Pok Pok is multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-abled, multi-aged, multi-gendered - in keeping with what I’d want my kids to experience had I any toddlers around the house. I’m keeping Pok Pok handy for regular escapes from my adult world and the shaking up of my ossified old brain..Version: 1.2

What fun!My daughter really enjoys the app! It’s interactive and amusing.Version: 36.0

We love Pok Pok!We have to be super careful with our 2 year old’s screen time as he gets very sucked in and finds it hard to stop. As such we tend not to use games on our phones with him. But Pok Pok is the exception. I feel happy with him playing as he thoughtfully interacts with the games and doesn’t go glassy eyed like he does with other screen based stuff for toddlers. I like the games too! I very happily signed up for the year long sub as Pok Pok gives my son an opportunity for screen time that we’re all happy with..Version: 24.1

AmazingFantastic app for kids all ages. They have really thought of everything..Version: 31.0

Unlike other apps for kidsYou’ve searched for games and apps your kid(s) can handle, but how many of them are actually teaching them anything? This is the world now. Apps. Technology. Electronics. As parents, we want to do right by our children amidst all of this abundance. Our daughter attends a Montessori preschool. This is the only app I have found that aligns with that approach to learning and interactivity. No data or wifi necessary. There is a subscription but it is extremely fair pricing compared to countless other mind numbing choices. We’ve had numerous “educational” apps, paid for some, but kept very few. This one shows the most potential. So far, it seems to deliver on what the developer claims. I have no complaints..Version: 31.0

We love Pok Pok!I downloaded Pok Pok on a whim after seeing an add, we don’t have any other games because we limit how much we are on screens, especially for our little girl. But i love Pok Pok, and so does she! My husband and i love exploring the playroom with her and i always feel comfortable allowing her some screen time when it’s pok pok. So much to do and explore, it doesn’t feel like your normal mind numbing games. I’m so excited to have it as a learning and playing tool on an upcoming trip on the airplane. Thank you so much to the creators. I love the persona touches, the inclusivity, and the obvious effort into making it a place that’s inviting for children without being overstimulating..Version: 17.1

Good for kidsGreat for my 2 year old!.Version: 36.0

A gem for my 4-year-oldThis is the first “open world” game my 4-year-old daughter has ever played and she really loves it. I write this review because I think the game deserves more attention. The game could stimulate children’s imagination as it encourages kids to explore so many objects as well as the interactions between those objects in a number of settings. I tend to encourage my daughter to tell stories about the scenarios she’s set up, and every time I’d be surprised by how imaginative kids’ brains can be..Version: 7.2

Just brilliantThe team has done a fantastic job of thinking through what -can- be done for children on a touch screen. I’ve spent hours and hours with my 4 year old collecting mail, pushing levers, spinning the globe, organizing smoothie parties, bouncing blocks on springs, and so much more. It’s thrilling to see a game that is so thoughtful about kids’ intelligence and how to portray game characters of different genders, races, and physical abilities. Most of the comments here focus on the subscription model. I credit the Pok Pok team for committing to their vision of a children’s play space that doesn’t turn play time into a “kiddie casino.” Let’s be candid - all those freemium games descend into the 2021 equivalent of pestering a grown up with a credit card to pony up for more lives, some digital accessory, or another level. The creators who bring to life this generation’s toy bin need to have an economic model that puts food on the table (and funds the monthly updates we’ve seen since launch!)..Version: 5.0

Kid loves itMy son loves this game. Love stimulating so he doesn’t get wired from playing. Nice calming game and lots of options for types of games to play.Version: 36.0

Amazing appThis app is amazing so glad I found it. The app is educational while keeping my child engaged age 0-2.Version: 29.0

Great App!Really works in a healthier way than other apps and kids help willingly to get to play it!.Version: 36.0

Love the designsYou can really tell a lot of love and care went into this game. The designs have such a prevalent and acute element of nostalgia while catering to a contemporary app environment. My nephew loves it..Version: 1.2

What a great App, loved by child and parent alike! My son loves this. He has his favourite areas but all in all it is engaging, non threatening, fun, adventurous and it keeps him entertained. As a parent when I engage with him whilst using there are wonderful moments where he shows me things he’s found or done and with questions I can guide him in directions he may not have seen. This is also handy when I need to get on with thing and keeps him fully engaged. The design is wonderful really beautifully done, I really love it as does my son. There are enough options to keep the kids entertained for as long as you may need and there is something for everyone. I love the updates that seem to happen frequently enough that there is no chance of getting. Yes there is a cost to it but I believe that it is reasonable (your child isn’t going to be asking to buy things in any store!) and I have been happy that it gives good value for money. I know money is tight for a lot of people but if Inhave to pay for a game I’d rather pay for PokPok then other games that are out there..Version: 26.2

So imaginative! We’ve only just started playing Pok Pok but we are enthralled by it. I love the colours and pictures and how open ended it is. Such a relief to have a beautiful, inspiring app for screen time. I have to admit I had a little go on it myself when my daughter had gone to bed😂.Version: 27.0

The perfect app for kids of all agesI love this app and so do my kids! We pull it up for the kids when we are grocery shopping or just need a distraction from stuff. Simple to use, love the colors and different options for play. The music is so cute. My 5 year old loves the sound board. I even put guided access on for my 1 year old to explore the app and she loves it. Absolutely worth the subscription. They even went out of their way to send us a note and some stickers for screen free play and my 5 year old is loving showing me the fun things he’s making with it. Thank you PokPok! I am sure I have rated 5 stars before but I love it so much I am doing it again 🫶🏻.Version: 31.0

Great App!A slow paced app for kids. My son has not been playing long but so far I’ve seen his frustration whilst playing this game reduced to nothing. He is very content. Will review again once we’ve had it longer.Version: 36.1

Love thisMy kids love this app.Version: 35.1

DelightfulPok Pok is one of my favorite apps. My 2 ½ year old likes it a lot too. I was reluctant to believe that any app could be appropriate for a kid that young, but Pok Pok has allayed my fears. I love seeing what my kid picks and how she plays with the toys, I love that it doesn’t talk to her (no ads!) or try to coax her toward trying to do anything, I love the sound design and all the little surprises that await. Most kid-oriented apps or videos are kind of annoying, but it is genuinely nice to be around Pok Pok. It’s more like a toy chest than a video game. We’ve been playing with it for a couple of months and my kid has continued to enjoy it and find new ways to play with it. It looks like it would be good for kids that are older too, with some toys that are more complex (like a sound board or a marble run) that my toddler just kind of mashes her hands around on but an older kid would probably enjoy fiddling with. In short, Pok Pok is wonderful. Enjoy it!.Version: 25.1

Great conceptI haven’t let my child use the app yet I’m I’m liking the concept behind the app. So I I’ll update this comment once we use the app..Version: 35.1

Great app for toddlersMy toddler loves this app, it’s engaging without being overstimulating..Version: 28.2

Love the creative freedomI opted to give Pok Pok a shot after seeing it appear on the ad. I'm extremely happy to report that I uninstalled all other kid apps after watching my three-year-old use this one. There is a wonderful theme to it all, which is just right and not too overwhelming, and there is so much creative freedom to play as the kids want without constraints. With every other children's app we own, my child would always come to me for assistance when they want to purchase something or when an advertisement appears, but not with this one. Everything has been carefully considered, and I adore Pok Pok for this! I will always maintain our yearly subscription. Thank you for this amazing app, it’s something I’ll always recommend..Version: 33.0

Deceptively deep and creative appSo much depth and space within these wonderful toys.Version: 31.0

Easy to Use No Ads No Parental WorriesMany different ways for children of different ages to interact. The app rids the ad blockers, no more hearing children complain about pay walls. The screen time promotes creative thinking and exploring, over canned gameplay. You do not have to worry about sensory overload, the games and toys children pick are well balanced..Version: 35.1

My daughter’s first app!She loves it and we’re happy to have her play these fun, creative games..Version: 36.0

Well done app with regular updatesThe team are doing a great job with the app and the updates. You can see the care and attention to detail in the mini games. I believe in supporting the developers and will continue to subscribe while I have kids who will play with it although I do wish it was a little cheaper. Paying annually does help though..Version: 30.0

Great!Great app for kids..Version: 35.1

My #1 and only app recommendation for all parentsAs a parent, former preschool teacher, and leader in the early education sector, I see a lot of apps for learning that miss the mark. Pok Pok is exceptional. It’s rooted in explorative free play and follows the child’s lead. Because the app’s game design doesn’t prompt the child to do certain things or complete set tasks, it fosters creativity and curiosity through experimentation. My 5 year old loves Pok Pok, and I’m happy to let him use it because it’s so interactive - I can see his wheels turning as he plays. For me, it’s well worth the subscription for such a quality tool for learning through play..Version: 17.1

Calm fun playI found pokpok through a random influencer in a reel and THANK GOODNESS I did. My son is Five and overstimulation is a huge battle for us. Games, shows, videos that are made these days are extremely over stimulating which while it may keep him busy for a little once he’s over it he hops off and is high energy and chaotic which leads to emotional crashes. Not to mention the extreme addiction to games (even things like other “educational” apps) they give rewards and new levels for winning which creates an obsession to playing, high emotions when he’s not winning, and completely zoning into them which makes him completely unaware of his surroundings. POKPOK is calm, gentle, fun and educational, but without the triggering over stimulating and addictive traits other games have..Version: 36.0

VERY NICEMy daughter loved it. The only issue was there are no instruction so we don’t know what exactly we are suppose to do..Version: 30.1

Such a refreshing take on playI cannot speak highly enough of this app!! As an educator I have been very reluctant to allow my 4 year old on an iPad after playing witness to the negative impacts excessive screen time can have. Until I discovered Pok Pok through a caravanning group of all places! What an amazing resources/self discovery/open ended tool. I allowed myself for two days to jump on and explore before introducing it my little boy(I had more fun than I would like to admit!). We have played together taking turns, watching each other discussing what is happening, talking about our favourite ’games’ and best of all it has kept him entertained independently! I love that the sounds are not offensive and loud, there is NO ads and it can be shared across devices. We haven’t had any melt downs from asking him to get off the device and I truly can see how physical toys have been created into the digital version! Awesome app and have been recommending it to everyone!!.Version: 30.0

Just a reviewI LOVE Pok Pok I downloaded it and can’t stop use it and it is so much fun! The fact you guys add toys aswell is probs the best part! This is me recommending this app and honestly my favourite is the one with all the switches and stuff bc the sounds just tickle my brain.Version: 14.4

Great for long driveThis app is amazing to occupied kids on long drive. My son is autistic and we are trying out this app to keep him calm and occupied for long car drives..Version: 36.1

Love this fun, calming, inclusive app!My kids and I all love this app so much! I love that it’s not obnoxious like many other kid apps, but it does a great job of keeping their (and my) attention. It has so many different areas to explore and really is fun and entertaining. It’s not overly stimulating either, and the updates, also along with seasonal changes always keep it interesting. My one suggestion would be to have a zoom out option on the island and cityscapes just to make it easier to locate specific vehicles, shops, etc. and to better orient yourself before zooming back in. We’ve been subscribed a couple years now and intend to stay subscribed; it really has been well worth it for us!.Version: 20.1

Pok Pok is greatMy daughter loves it.Version: 36.1

Can't emphasize enough! This app is really wonderful. It came up recommended in an ad not long before our first airplane trip with our toddler, and it didn't take long for her to really catch on to the fun of this app. There's a variety of mini sections within to play with as their interest/focus shifts, from a simple drawing function to multiple sections that function as low-key world explorers. They're engaging without being overstimulating, even to the point I'll find myself playing with some of them when I need a calm distraction. It's nice to have an app that is a healthy way to pass time either because you need to distract kiddo or as a way to engage with them..Version: 30.1

FunFun.Version: 36.0

GreatLots of variety for kids. Open ended and fun!.Version: 33.1

Great toolHas a lot of really great mini games! Would for sure recommend..Version: 28.2

Pok PokThis is a great app for kids to learn and keep their mind occupied, as well as learning new things. I think parents need to download this app for their kids that have troubles, concentrating and learning..Version: 36.0

An open ended play experienceI love this app and have used it with the children I teach (4 and 5 year olds). With or without adult accompaniment children can problem solve, be creative, explore and have a safe and meaningful digital experience. Digital experiences are very valuable for young children but there are so many apps out there that don’t benefit them significantly, unlike PokPok!.Version: 1.1

PokPok is a delightMy toddler finds this very engaging, she enjoys exploring the different environments. But I feel safe that there are no addictive ‘game mechanics’. Thank you PokPok team..Version: 28.1

Amazing App for All Kids!I downloaded this app after hearing a great recommendation about it from The Gamer Educator on Instagram. My 3.5yr old immediately began exploring the different areas and just intuitively began to play in one of the many open ended, leave it to the imagination games. My 10-yr old and 8yr-old saw him playing and immediately became involved in what he was doing, and also asked to play when his turn was done. Pok Pok saved us on an international trip with many hours spent in the air. It was requested again and again throughout our travels and we continue to use it do this day! Highly recommend to download and use as a tool for when you need it..Version: 23.2

We really enjoy it!We did the 7-day free trial and our son really enjoyed playing it but it’s quite expensive so we created a sticker chart for our 3yo to earn stickers that would eventually pay for the annual subscription for pokpok. He finally earned enough and it is his top choice for when he does get some iPad time. “I like it because it’s fun” and when I asked what his favorite game was he said “my favorite one is all of them” 😂 there’s a wide variety of interactive games and doesn’t seem too overstimulating (beyond the fact that it is on a device). My husband even likes playing some of the games..Version: 35.1

Wonderfully designed! My 4 year old loves it!THANK YOU for making such a wonderful app for kids. There are far too many kid apps in the App Store that are poorly designed, littered with ads and are unintuitive for the age range they’re made for. Pok Pok is the exact opposite, and it’s very clear why it’s a finalist for an Apple Design Award. My 4 year old also has trouble focusing at times, but he’s been able to sit down for 20-30 minutes straight playing in the massive town you built with all the trucks and buildings. I can clearly tell a lot of care was put into animating each and every character and gadget in all your games, too. The attention to detail is just fantastic! I’m very much looking forward to seeing what you add in the future..Version: 1.2

Daughter is enjoying Pokpok app so much!!!Love that she’s able to learn and have fun at the same time. Looking forward to seeing what else the app can offer..Version: 35.1

InterestingBut it’s mostly a tapping game without much understanding of what each element does. Easy to lose attention after a while..Version: 30.1

Excellent appWe have been so impressed by this app. We have found it very calming for our daughter. Very much recommend..Version: 33.0

Best alternative screen timeWe are loving this creative alternative to screen time. Our daughter loves it. And we’re creating new healthy routines around its use..Version: 28.2

Fantastic appI love this app because the games are about exploring. The audio and colours are also very calming compared to most games..Version: 30.1

Wish I knew about this app sooner!I found this app while searching for games that would be good for my son who has autism. When I came across this and read this it was inspired by Montessori principles, I knew we had to give it a try. I love that there are so many options within the app for my son to choose from and that it's all about exploration and figuring things out. Right now he really loves the busy book. I do too as it's a great opportunity for me to sit down with him and label the objects he is tapping on. He is largely nonverbal so any way that I can work on words with him that is fun is very welcome. He also really loves the music box. They have some really cool music to choose from, which is right up his alley. One more thing I will say is that the colors are muted which is absolutely lovely. I personally love muted colors and I think it makes it a little more relaxing instead of overwhelming. I would definitely recommend this app to any parent looking for an educational game for their child. 🙌🏼.Version: 33.1

Beautifully designedThis is a really, really lovely app for kids. Exactly the kind of thing we were looking for. My only doubt at this point is how often there will be new content, as my kids did eventually tire of the current offering after about an hour of off-and-on play. Once we see the first content update we’ll decide whether to pull the trigger on the fairly hefty £25 price..Version: 1.0

So goodLove the app and kids love it as well. The only app I’ll pay for because it allows me to have a hot coffee! lol.Version: 36.0

Very pleasant app for toddlersWe were hesitant about downloading an app for our toddler because we’re pretty strict about screen time. (We don’t allow him to play any other games on the phone/tablet, for instance.) Pok Pok is really different from the digital games I see my nieces and nephews playing. It’s really engaging for our 3-year-old. The audio is very pleasant. The games on Pok Pok are more like different sets of toys. Each toy/game is designed in such a way that even a small child can interact with it and enjoy it, while older kids can figure out more of the details of making it “work”. We typically offer our toddler Pok Pok in the car and in restaurants, places where bringing other toys is impractical. I don’t love this parenting practice, but it often feels better than any other option. Pok Pok has been a good tool for these situations, and our son enjoys it..Version: 26.2
