✓ Works, needs some tweaksConnects and works well. The volume setting is too sensitive; I’d prefer something with numbers. Also wish I could turn off the sound bar from the app..Version: 1.1.1
✓ Works perfectly fine 🤷♂️Not sure why all the bad reviews? Unless the issues were fixed recently. I used to have the old LG Wi-Fi sound bar app and it was discontinued. Installed this today and I had no issues connecting my sound bar. Yes you have to connect to sound bars Wi-Fi when first trying to connect to app, but after that you get connected right back to your home Wi-Fi. So not sure why some people keep saying you have to stay connected to sound bar Wi-Fi to use app to control bar or change settings. Haven’t lost connection with the sound bar yet. Everything works fine..Version: 1.1.10
✓ Works well so farI’ve just connected my SPD7Y for the first time and it works pretty well. One thing this app needs is the ability to further dim or turn off the display on the sound bar. Display is still a bit bright and that option would be great.Version: 1.1.9

✓ Better than old appDespite comments from others this app automatically and immediately found my SK10Y sound bar. It seems to have all the necessary features and worked well to the extent used. The only detractors to me is the lengthy terms you have to agree to, and the fact that a huge company like LG can’t provide an iPad version of this app. That’s so 15 years ago..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Needed Mac to get app to workSpeaker appeared under WiFi on Mac. I connected and then was able to connect the speaker to my home WiFi network. After this, the app worked on my phone.Version: 1.2.15
✓ LG Soundbar AppI have read the reviews and find it hard to believe that people gave the app bad reviews. I suppose anyone can say unhelpful things and even the possibility that the opposition does want you to know the truth. I own an older LG Smart TV the original LG smart remote no longer functions. But even with this disadvantage I have no trouble connecting to the TV / LG Soundbar using this clever app. It has numerous sound settings, Volume controls, the list goes on..Just be aware that you need to download Google Home App to take full advantage of the LG App they work in parallel. I am no tech expert quite the opposite actually, so if I can set up the app in 10 minutes I expect 99% of you can do likewise. I give the app 5/5 well done LG!.Version: 1.5.13
✓ Difficulties connecting S90QYIt took me at lest 30 minutes to connect S90QY soundbar. It finally worked after press and hold Wi-Fi button on the soundbar for 10 seconds. The app works fine now..Version: 1.3.10

✓ Could you add this feature pleaseApp is great, sound bar is awesome. Can you add a calibration option where you can easily switch between one calibration and another. I watch TV 5 metres away from the Soundbar and I game 1.5 metres away from the Soundbar. It would be great to swap seating positions in the App I.e. ✓ Works just fineI just set it up & everything works perfectly fine. I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews or comments about having to switch back & forth between networks. I plugged it in, fired up the app which asked me for my network password. Entered that and began enjoying surround sound. Great product & nice app..Version: 1.2.18

✓ LG Sound Bar SP8YARead the online PDF first, discovered how to connect wifi, there is a wifi button symbol on the top of the sound bar, press it and the app discovers your model number. It starts a countdown from about 120 seconds, and by 95 seconds it’s all connected and now automatically doing an update. Apple AirPlay is now available, and by logging into Alexa in this app, it can now be added to a speaker play group. My tv is a LG C1 with the Alexa connection established too. All perfectly working with no issues..Version: 1.2.15
✓ No connection issuesSo yeah this version has same functions but mine connected right away and the bars don’t drop from app like they use too. Yeah some people may not be happy but with this being a re- design and new bars and firmware updates coming out I am sure this app will be updated as well..Version: 1.0.8
