✓ Better than expectedHave played a number of idle rpg games and most get deleted of my phone after couple of days due to them being too similar to each other. So far this one is the exception. Can jump on intermittently during day, so good for playing if at work. Only glitch is when selecting party members it occasionally duplicates the image of the characters, so it may display 2 or 3 copies of the each one. This is only a minor thing so haven’t adjusted my rating if the game.Version: 0.7.16

✓ Actually worth playingGames that have idle aspects to them usually have a shelf life of a week or 2. You’ve done them, I’ve done them, they get old. This game is the only one I come back to time and time again. This game makes you work for what you get, not too hard, but it’s not a mindless cake walk. There’s a lot of things to work towards, it’s not just leveling up your resource output, it’s taking on and growing heroes. You have to learn early on that not everything will end in success, but that’s ok because you can try again and win. Honestly just a really fun game that actually makes the check back daily worth checking back in for..Version: 0.8.2
✓ Love the game, hate stagnationI love the game. It’s what I’ve been looking for in a mobile rpg for a long time. The party system is absolutely amazing. The only thing that bothers me is after the first few stages you basically stop progressing. It’s really hard to get coin for gear, and some of the encounters consistently take out my top hero’s, making coin gathering even harder. ✓ Unique game that makes me want more!This is a refreshingly unique and curiously pleasant game with SO MUCH room for further improvement! Below are some ideas this seasoned gamer came up with. • Have Clans! There is no better way to retain players than via Clans, as they feel connected to their Clan mates. • Once you have Clans, you can sell cosmetic upgrades. Nobody is going to pay for cosmetic upgrades if they cannot show it off to their friends, right? Plus: Clan members can exchange materials they need. • Give rewards for EVERYTHING. Each reward creates dopamine in the brain, which will make the player play more. Even for the simplest accomplishments: reward the player. • I noticed that the “celebration” once a task is completed is quite weak. Show fireworks all over the screens with sounds of people celebrating! • The Arena difficulty levels get to hard too fast. I feel like abandoning the Arena altogether and I only just started the Arena. • As others have already mentioned here, it is cumbersome to have to wait for your party to travel back to base before you can send them out to the next job. Instead try this: Captured buildings aren’t used, so these could become outposts. The player could then decide how much of their army to keep in which outposts, thus adding strategy and reducing wait times. • Along the same lines as above, the player is often waiting for things to happen, which increases the chance for them to quit the game and do something else. And of course we don’t want that! I think you just need to balance things a little to solve that problem. One way that comes to mind is to add Quests. Quests can be as simple as “Sell 2 items” or “Travel 10km in the game”, etc. • This is a big one to code, but some of the best games out there have a game-wide market mechanism. This can just be a market for players to buy and sell goods they need, but many players also enjoy just “playing” the market: buying and selling to earn gold. • At the moment you can buy and sell items, but the difference in buy- and sell price seems quite extreme. Play around with the balance and see what happens. • Character development. Players start to identify with the avatars they control, so give them a voice and some cosmetic options. • Gear development: have a Smithy to improve gear and a Wizard Tower of sorts to Enchant gear. • Have an affordable “Membership” option that grants members-only access to game aspects and discounted items. This should be your main source of income, so that players are not sitting around waiting for ads to finish playing. • Offer a daily increasing award for each consecutive day the players signs-on, but reset it when a player misses a day. I won’t be the only one signing in to a game, just to not interrupt the reward streak, but hanging around for another hour. • Offer a prize for inviting friends • Sprinkle some “secret codes” around the internet, which can be shared in the Clans, which makes players feel like they’re ahead of other players. =>> If you like to discuss these or other ideas, just reply here with a way to contact you. ✓ Safe houses or castles in other areasHello developers. It is has been more than a week of playing this game and played your previous game called Vampire Fall since last year. Still playing it for sometimes in my off days. This game is a good start and has plenty of room to develop. I know other reviewers said stuff I need to say, but I’ll say this. I think there should other castles in different parts of map in order to make heroes be near them in order to make the distance of the travel short. That is all I have to say. ✓ GoodI thought I would give this game ago, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a game where you can put away for a while. I Especially like the fact that when fighting,and you die. The monsters do not heal themselves,and you can go several times to finish them. The only down side is that you have 1 gold mine which only delivers 1 piece of gold a a time,so it takes along time to be able to buy better weapons….. I have been playing a week, so this may change. I would also rather have the choice to purchase gear for my team if I have the coin or wait for the 4 or 5 hours it takes to make it. Also unless I’m missing something, I see no value in the alchemist, because I don’t see a way to purchase anything. ✓ Awesome game!When I downloaded this game I didn’t think I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did. It’s fairly new at this point but it’s well done. Plenty of potential for improvements but only small quality of life stuff such as being able to refresh heroes/heroines every so often or for a bit of gold, being able to pick and choose skills and ability, and increasing or the ability to increase travel speed. ✓ Enjoyable gameGday guys, played a lot of vampires fall and had a feeling I’d like this one too. No major problems as yet, I would maybe consider a second gold mine at the early game, nothing excessive of course, but a little bit more. I think also maybe allowing units to be garrisoned in a structure while not out adventuring and having specific professions such as someone with a blacksmithing ability that reduces creation time by 1.5% per level capped at 15% or something of that style. As it stands right now if I’m too underpowered for something I just throw my troops at it and log off for a few hours until it’s whittled down, having some base management in between would be quite nice or some active things to do such as unit training that are a bit more involved. ✓ Solid game!Pretty fun to play, not overbearing. Not super complex, but definitely has potential to grow. Not pay to win either! Couple issues - the ads sometimes crash the app for me and I don’t get any rewards, which is a pain. Additionally, the higher tier fights essentially knock your best heroes out for 20 min to an hour or more while they heal, which functionally limits your ability to progress while playing the game consecutively - please make the medic tent’s upgrades more effective, and I’d play more. One thing I'd like to see that other devs tend to do is have a purchasable(or added in to other iap) option to get ad rewards instantly. I don't mind supporting good game development. ✓ Fun startInnovative combat tactics mechanics with lots of potential. Needs options to disband heroes. Also the “old gods” reset needs fixing. Prompt said: “reset everything? your village will be kept”. What ended happening is everything is kept (bldgs, heroes, items, enemies defeated, etc), with only wood/ore reset to zero. I did it a couple of times thinking it was a bug, and now I have a “broken cart” in my village guarded by 7 enemies of approx 24 atk, 12 def, 140 hp each, and my heroes have on approx 10 atk, 6 def, 30 hp with nowhere to gain exp/gold/items..Version: 0.6.27

✓ It never was finished.I loved this game when I first downloaded in in beta. I played through its beta content and it always to be rebirthed 6 times for replay value. One day it went from beta to 1.0 with little change. I was expecting a huge content update since it was very minimal. Instead we get tiny new areas that are typically a couple days of battle if you don’t use healing potions. I kept hoping for a large content update, extended map, new region, so I kept playing and collecting resources awaiting for “the gods of old to awake”. ✓ Incredibly satisfying, wish there was less down timeI found this game due to a Systems Design class as apart of my degree program. Our goal was to give examples of balanced gameplay. Needless to say, I’ve continued playing well after that class (got a 95 in it, thanks y’all) A true idle game with nearly perfect balance between characters and their stats. Each building has its own function and can be upgraded for better bonuses, heroes, hero count per party, healing rate, or items/items forged. On average I’d spend 2.5 hours down time (if all of my heroes are reviving) and about 20 minutes playing. My only complaint here would be to maybe bridge that gap a little better as I’m sure it’s about to increase when my heroes get out of the level 60 range The Forge is a little useless early on until you need tier 6 gear. Before that, the gold vs time vs quality ratio isn’t necessarily worth it. All in all, love this game and I’ll be playing for the foreseeable future..Version: 1.1.8

Generally quite enjoyable and starting to make some decent progress. ✓ Best mobile RPG game I’ve played in a long whileI came across this game from an ad in a different game I was playing at the time. I read some of the reviews and what stuck out to me was that people were talking about how this game wasn’t a walk in the park, that it is challenging, and in many instances takes strategy to win. Things like character special abilities, aligning loadouts, and attack positions all play an integral role in your success or failure, plus, it has the idle game aspect that automates resource gathering and healing while you are away. I’m about 15-20 hours of actual gameplay in (about a week or so after making my account) and I don’t feel burned out with a grind but still find myself checking in regularly to see if my heroes have healed enough to set off another attack. Clearly I’m not at the beginning of the game so I can’t judge how they are handling end game, but, from what I’m seeing so far, I can’t wait to see what’s in store!.Version: 0.10.4

Each challenge to defeat enemies gets harder making the gathering and crafting of equipment essential to your success. Wood and stone are gathered to upgrade buildings to give your heroes extra help and there’s even one for extra heroes! I’m excited to see an update for the game as I was on my 5th rebirth and wasn’t wanting to get to the end of the game. I had heard that the 6th rebirth is the last. ✓ You should definitely play, it’s a good grindFirstly I want to say the game is really good, I’d give it a 9/10. The game play, story and combat are very much enjoyable and easy to get on with. Im currently on new game plus 5, I’ve basically maxed out everything, (max level is 62 atm) I have paid for 1 pack £4.99 at the start, but found out you can play the game and max everything out for free. Which is amazing if you don’t want to spend anything. To the developers, maybe some updates or new content would be amazing. I’d suggest that when you go to the next new game that the arena (trials) should also rest and scale with the difficulty. Also waiting 4 days for the duels is a bit ridiculous at the end of the game. Maybe 2 days or add more levels to the duel instead of 3 tiers why not 10? I find resource gathering a bit broken, 26 mill wood and 7mill stone for a castle level, it take’s absolutely ages to save it! Can’t really say I’ve seen the reassures scale with the new game content and all my collectors are 20-25, maybe increase the resource speed. And lastly the blacksmith, 2500 gold and 8days for the best tier item, ( which could be anything) 8 days! I don’t mind the 2500 gold but 8 days is sooooo long. Maybe we can shorten it down a bit? ✓ Great potential!Beautiful artwork, simple gameplay, and you get your own country to conquer. It’s great. Suggestions: being able to reshuffle the heroes for hire at the tavern in case you’re not interested in who’s there. A training area where you can put heroes to slowly level up while you’re not using them. You wind up with a few heroes that are high level and a bunch of others that you never actually use enough to level up much. More random events popping up, not all of them need to be combat oriented. Maybe “elves in the area boost wood harvesting nearby” or “angry dwarves slow local stone production.” Or something. Your castle getting attacked and defended by which ever heroes are there. ✓ A great semi idle game.This game is exactly my speed. Jump in and play for 5 minutes on breaks between work. This shines over others in that I’m actually kind of invested in clearing that nest or defeating those bandits. Love the graphics style and so happy it isn’t some bubbly 3D render. ✓ Great Game - Needs More ContentThis is a great game. It really is. The sense of progression is consistent and satisfying. The art style is really nice and it is very easy to play. My biggest complaint with the game is it is rather short. I made it to the final boss in about 3 days. When I first encountered the boss, I assumed defeating him would unlock an entirely new area, but instead it just resets the game when you beat him. It becomes sort of a “New Game +.” You get to keep your heroes and buildings, but the game resets otherwise, but with more powerful enemies. This really took the wind out of my sails for this game. Other minor critiques would be that it would be really nice to have some sort of mini-map. Also, the fact that your heroes have to run all the way back to the castle, even if they’re not injured, before going out again is rather annoying. It would be nice if you had the option to send them to another destination directly from their current location. Besides all that though, the game is definitely one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ads are fair, few and the free game play is actually a fun idle loop. I enjoyed it so much, I supported the developer with a shop purchase. I hope they continue to work and add-on this charmer. A few small notes for devs: 1) It is amazing that you have a bug button on the front UI; 2) The trails in the military encampment zone aren’t clear enough to discern which battles will open more efficient routes from the player base. (I perceive route-clearing to be an intended part of player strategy in the game.) 3) The token system seems like an after-thought. I’ve kept all of the free tokens I’ve grinded, and it is less than one Tier 3 chest. This is entirely different from the progression for gold-related purchases, and the possibility of not-great loot is high! ✓ Missing a key featureI really like the game so far, and was a big fan of VFO for years. My only problem with this game is that there is no way to reset progress or get rid of heroes. I didn’t know that the list reset itself, and thought the options presented were all I could get. I ended up with characters I didn’t particularly like the look of, and on trying to replace them or delete and re-install the app I found I was stuck with them. Even vfo lets you have four character slots and delete any of them if you want to. I was happy to see your studio make a new game with the same art style, but without a do-over (and not just a partial rebirth) it’s just not doing it for me. ✓ Better than you’d thinkI download plenty of games every day and then delete them pretty quickly if they don’t spark a certain level of interest. This was one of those games I came across like so many others and I held little hope that it’d last more than 2 minutes of opening. I was wrong. It’s somehow managed to become the first one I open upon picking my phone up, that’s when you know you’ve got a good one. It’s all pretty basic stuff and upon first appearance it looks quite dark from the default zoom, in fact it’s still quite dark when zoomed in but don’t let that put you off. Steady character progression with some interesting level ability skills follow and the combat system is surprisingly good. It’s still very young in development and I hope the game attracts enough players to make the developers continue to release new updates as time goes by. It’s good, very good and I’ll continue to play as long as I can. ✓ So much potential…This game is really hard to review. It’s got a lot of great ideas and for the most part the exception is well done. It feels like you are slowly exploring a big world filled with unknown dangers. Kind of has a HOMM feel but the world feels more alive. The problem is as it stands there is very little gameplay if you want to spend time in the world. In the beginning there’s much to be done but later in the game all you can do is wait for anything, and the waits get longer and longer. Every upgrade, forging an item, even healing your party becomes excruciatingly long. If you don’t mind popping in once a day to check in it works fine, but if you want to have any sort of gaming session there quickly becomes nothing to do. A few more activities, shorter wait times especially for healing, easier ways to earn gold… these could help add more active gameplay options to the world..Version: 0.6.27
✓ Overall good, disappointing endgameWhen you finish clearing the map you get the option to reset and the enemies respawn with higher stats and greater resources from resource mines. The problem is by the second or third reset you should have reached the complete endgame gear for the moment. Halfway through my first resent I maxed all support buildings and research so there isn’t a lot I can do to progress besides grind the respawning opponents for gold and use that to buy the max tier 6 gear for my party. I’m just now on resent three and besides two or three final bosses my team can one shot everything with tier 4~5 gear on average. It’s a bit disappointing that I’ve hit the end of research and equipment on reset 1 when the torches at the end show at least 6 total. Halfway through reset 3 and hoping they add more endgame content so the next three resets are not just more of the same..Version: 0.10.4
✓ Needs some workSo I believe this game has real potential for players who prefer RPG’s and especially for players like me who do not want to play MMO games. Some of the issues I see are hard to upgrade equipment and armor, gold is extremely slow to gather and gain in the amount to fully equip a single team let alone 2. With or without the beautiful graphics finding some of the mission icons is difficult, I was in the area left of town (mountains with red ground) and seeing the mission icons was rough it all sorted blended together. Power scale game is designed for the enemy to have the upper hand, I would like to see some more random battles so I can level up my characters and equipment quicker. The special cards used to draw from the chest having a dungeon where the enemies would drop more so we can take advantage of more legendary equipment. The movement speed for the fact they are walking isn’t that bad but getting the gold to get 2 movement speed rings is never going to happen in my lifetime… but it’s a fun game to play while working as having to wait for the characters to heal.Version: 1.2.27

✓ Great game!I’ve become a little addicted to this game, it’s the last thing I do before bed and the first thing in the morning. I’ve played literally hundreds of games on my phone and dozens of idle games, and whilst the only real idle function of the game is resource gathering (and character healing) I can’t stop playing this game. Characters you can hire have their own unique passives and there’s a decent selection of items to improve your characters as well as xp gains through combat and stat increases when levelling up. The game gets progressively harder as you play and some nice parts you have to think about before trying to make it more fun. Each win is enjoyable and after a couple of weeks I completed the game, or so I thought, I was a little gutted when I beat the ‘boss’ but then you can start over, you keep all the stuff you’d really want to keep and the games harder with new enemy types. I cant put my finger on what I love most about this game, it’s a solid. 8/9 across all aspects imo making it a really enjoyable escape from the real world. There are in app purchases, more convenience and time saving and there’s no online aspects, I think the game would benefit from events but is fine without them, great job 👏.Version: 0.7.8

✓ The perfect casual gameThis is probably my first ever review. I go through so many downloads of games, play them for 10 minutes and get bored or it’s too complicated. But this game is easy to fall into, you don’t have to pay to get ahead, you just build up your resources and heroes in your own time. The UI isn’t to complex and it’s fairly easy to understand what to do. There’s not too much to do though, so I hope in the near future they add lots and more things to do as I would love to continue playing this for a long time!.Version: 0.7.16
✓ Long time Beta TesterGreat game and great content, I’ve yet to have found any bugs or glitches at this time and that’s saying something been playing the other game Vampire ( Origins ) off an on for quite some time and got to say it’s also an awesome gem as well! ✓ Great gameDecided to download this even though it had received a poor rating straight off. For a fan of a game you can play on and off this is 100% for you. It’s kept me enjoying logging in to grab a few battles. The only downside is I’m almost at the end. ✓ Loving it so farI’m not that far, just up to the review request point but so like it so far. I find the wait times for healing to be pretty drastic but am enjoying everything else. I don’t care for the building games and resource gathering usually but I like territory expansion in this game and the fact you don’t need to build. Been playing a lot of fancy 3D or animated RPGs and while I enjoy them a lot and look for them the minimal fighting representation doesn’t bother me in the least. I feel good acquisition is low, I don’t even buy the low weapons because I never have gold. Can’t wait to proceed further in the game but it may be a while it seems..Version: 0.7.8
✓ Great game with minimal ads!If you’re a fan of Vampire’s fall origins the game incorporates some of the characters from the game. It is very different though, as it is a different type of game. The game itself is fun to play, especially if you’re a fan of idle games. The art style for the champions is amazing! There are rarely ads in this game, and if there is one you can choose to watch it for extra resources. It also isn’t really a pay to win game, you can still have a fun time playing the game by not buying extra resources. The people who run EM studios seem to be incredibly passionate about their games, so that makes me love the game even more, because it was a game that was created for telling a story, rather than making money..Version: 0.5.92

✓ ArenaReally love this game, I’ve been addicted to it since the first time I played it. The only thing I think is like added to the game is a way to reset the arena. ✓ Great gameIts everything you get with other RPG kingdom building games but has removed the pay to win element, which is a much needed thing in this genre of game. ✓ Good game great potentialFun game reminds me of some early PC era strategies. I like that it’s not fully designed for the ptw experience, like most Asian sourced games. It would be nice to have some better random experiences, beyond just the “wagon is broken” Event. Also Multiplayer interface in some way would make for more longevity, and more desire to stay invested and pay. I see from fb you are building out a leaderboard, which is a good start. I haven’t seen everything offered by the game so far, but it seems like it needs some balancing. I just spent a day assaulting several defenders and then taking over a very hard castle, which seemed to only reward me with a handful of tickets and some gold. I expected some huge game increases from the castle, like new features or maybe resources of all types generated as taxes from the castle. Effort should correlate with reward IMO..Version: 0.5.92

✓ Artistic, Simple and FunReally cool design and themes, very fun laid back kind of strategy game, only reason I haven’t given it a 5 star as I want more content. ✓ Great GameFun game so much potential. Build your city in the middle of a hostile world. You can recruit a team of heroes and send them out to fight the monsters that surround you. Level up and get awesome gear. ✓ Still has time to be goodI am a long term gamer and am always looking for a new game to play. This has potential but unless changes are made, I fear will fail to be a game that has long term success. The two issues that need to be addressed are: 1. It is crazy to have a game where the travel time to and from battles is ridiculously long. My tendency is to battle and close the game. 2. As a beginner, heal times are ridiculously long. The time should be more for mid/end games. Characters under level ten have no business waiting 40 minutes to heal. A new play wants immediate gratification, not a three minute run to a battle and then a 30 minute heal time. Those times just lead to searching the App Store for something else to play. The rewards wheel is interesting and the battles are ok, but the timing aspect of the game is really suspect..Version: 0.8.2

✓ If you're tired of empire games, you should try thisYou get to build your base and upgrade but it doesn't push you too fast. Get your fighters and start clearing the surrounding areas and get a feel for the fighting and equipment for them. This game doesn't let you play too long at a time and limits how many ads they expose you to which I really appreciate. No forced ads. Best of all, it's not currently pvp so no one's gonna come by and wreck your progress just because they have the money to pay for a better build than you. Take your starting fighters and see what you can build them into! I've played Vampire's Fall: Origins and this is the same artwork and game world, though not related as far as I've seen so far.
