✓ Too many pop-ups and moving partsI'm a huge fan of John Solomon and Just The News. BUT this app stinks. It's way too cluttered for a site that, presumably, is intended to be viewed on a phone or tablet. It mimics the JTN website, with a video pop-up as you scroll down, plus multiple advertising pop-ups that block my view of content on my iPad screen and also make the site glitchy and difficult to view. The content of the site is excellent. But this app needs work. A tablet or phone screen is NOT a computer screen. Refer to Town Hall, Breitbart or Red State for how an app should work on tablets and phones. 2 stars for content; 0 stars for app design..SklaszkyVersion: 0.2.0

✓ Needs better ad differentiation & wastes dataI respect this news organization for integrity and transparency (see the “Dig In” tab to see the sources behind the each story, to read and make up your own mind). Although better in this version (0.2.0) than in previous ones (1.0??), it’s often difficult to tell a news story from an ad. This means that some folks may click on links thinking they are news, and will instead receive sponsored content. This is very bad for a news app, IMO. Also, even though there are specific “Read”, “Watch” and “Listen” options at the bottom of the screen, videos ALWAYS load as pop-ups, just like on the site. If I want to watch a video of a story, I would click the “Watch” tab. This wastes data, and I was surprised by the amount of cellular data used by this app when reviewing my data usage at the end of the month. Got into a loop with no way to exit except to delete the app. Am surprised so many ads and especially one which takes over the site to where there’s no exit. I'm sad to say I've deleted it because of the pop up floating ads. They are Intrusive and block content. When i try to click on the x to delete them, you often end up on the adds site. ✓ Crappy news siteIt would be nice for the readers if the Editor of Just The News would proofread their reporters grammatical errors, spelling errors, and just plain words usage errors!! ✓ “App” runs Spyware on your DevieThis app used to let me read news articles unhindered. But recently it starts running spyware “scans” without even touching a link. And it pops up little window ads that I have to touch the “X” in the corner to close out. It’s like playing wack-a-mole on steroids. Then it takes over the entire screen pretending to run a virus scanner. I have to close out the app and start it again. Then it kicks in and starts to run another spyware “scan”. I can’t even read the news anymore using this app. I like John Solomon, but does he know that his app is totally rife with spyware and spam? It is virtually impossible to actually get to and read content (which is very good). On other apps/websites I’ll periodically click on an ad that interests me to help the owner/developer. But Just the News is awful. ✓ Good product CRAP app!Great articles & great writers! But the app has WAY to many commercials. It's understandable for a free app... But not to a point that it causes app problems or to the point that it causes the app to freeze.🥶 It needs a lot of work. A LOT! Not worth downloading now.
