Ear Trainer is a series of fun field-tested exercises for mastering your essential aural skills.
The training feels like an engaging game. You hear a melody and try to match it using a virtual piano keyboard.
Beginning with the simplest one or two note phrases you’ll gradually learn the language of music! Where notes are letters, short phrases or motives are words, and longer phrases are whole sentences.
You’ll step by step learn to play music by ear, follow the rhythm, and use accents. We’ll start with just five notes of pentatonic — the easiest, most important and popular scale in the world music culture.
It won’t take long to see that the app is much more efficient and exciting compared to boring conventional interval, scale, and chord exercises.

✓ Very useful - improves tone recognitionThis app is well thought out and it does improve musical sense. I also use the rhythm trainer from the same developers which has definitely improved my ability to read rhythm. One key thing for five stars: can you please make it work with AirPods? Even though my iPhone is connected (music etc plays through AirPods) sounds from this app still play through the speaker!.Version: 2.2.1

✗ Asked to broadcast my screen and micFirst of all, I don’t remember downloading this app, maybe I did though. Second, it offered me a 10 dollar gift card if I broadcasted my lessons and i was asked to turn my mic on. Like the stupid person I am, I agreed, so it’s kinda my fault lol. Anyways, I got creeped out and exited out of the app but it was still recording, so I deleted it. Now I’m paranoid that this app can still see and hear everything I’m doing :).Version: 2.0.1
