✓ Better with timeIt doesn’t freeze up as much as it used to. Picture quality much better than watching on cable box. The ads are so annoying. The points bet ad is ridiculous and the lady that says her phone was “busted” is ignorant. Seeing those ads after every half inning sometimes makes me switch back to cable..Version: 1.2.1
✓ DISGRACE TO METS FANSThis is absolutely the worst app I have ever downloaded. I’m a big Mets fan and really thought that when Cohen bought the team it would change. You can’t get the game sometimes, the app always crashes on me, even when it does work it’s either slow or freezes. NBC App has no issues like this. When the Mets are on the NBC Sports App I can watch the game while sitting on the beach nowhere near a Wi-Fi connection. Disgraceful.Version: 1.2.1
✓ JOKEThis app freezes ALL the time, then commercials from the app run for what seems to be minutes, so you miss the whole game each time it freezes, and then you have the regular game breaks so by the time you get the game you are on a break. Then it freezes, then it goes to commercials, then it comes back and you misses the inning, then it freezes and then you sit through commercials on the app, then you miss the inning. ✓ It’s okI like that I can watch the Mets using the app when I’m away from home. But I have to sign out of my TV provider and then sign in again every two days. I’ll get a little lock symbol next to the “watch” button and have to log out and log back in again. There’s no legitimate reason for that..Version: 1.3.3
✓ Need a lot of workLots of issues with this app. This image stays small on my screen no matter what I do to make it bigger. It goes large for a second then gets small again. Between innings it often freezes forcing me to close the app and reload then jumps in after the inning has started. There is also a long delay, I get a notification on my phone of a scoring play sometimes before that better even comes to bat. Only reason it’s not a one star is it’s the Mets..Version: 1.2.1
✓ Sometime it works in nyI wish I can give this app 5 stars based on giving me Mets games on the go but the app works on and off out of state and with the new iPhone I can’t view the game full/wide screen, only vertical. ✓ Missing BIG FeaturesThe fact that you can only watch when you’re in the home location is ridiculous but maybe not SNY’s fault. Having said that, the fact that there is no airplay options or an iPad app is insane. So the only option for me to watch SNY is in on the smallest screen I own? This is bad. ✓ Consistently FreezesLove the concept more than competing for space through NBC Sports, but the SNY app has a ways to come still. The app freezes multiple times per game when using my iPhone or iPad, usually during the breaks. Then I close out of the app, restart it, sometimes watch another minute of ads, and get back to the game after missing a batter or two..Version: 1.2.1
✓ Only worked on day of launchThe app says you must use location, and when I’m in Florida the cable company doesn’t offer SNY. I log in with my cable company info from NJ, but the location must be overriding the log in. If trying to watch live stream, I get a white box stating “an error has occured”. That’s on an iPhone. I get a “not available” blue screen on the Roku TV. VERY frustrating. After years of blackout issues with NBCSports and MLB, I was excited for SNY app, especially when I was able to get live broadcasts the first day. Since then, cannot get live broadcasts. Gary has said, for years, never miss a game. Well, it didn’t work on NBCSports and now it doesn’t work on the new app. ***** Read the fine print: upon launch of app, we were given a 48-hour window to view SNY live. After that, you need to use it in your “home” location, then will be granted a 30-day window to watch out-of-market. That isn’t “watch anytime, anywhere” in my language. ✓ Freezes and plays ads during the live game!This app is disappointing. It constantly freezes which makes watching the game frustrating. Even worse, if I go back and click “watch live” again, I’m forced to watch the same 2 ads while missing even more of the live game. I understand playing ads during commercial breaks but during the live game? This happens constantly ever since the app launched. Today was the final straw which led me to leave this review. I tried turning the game on in the 6th inning and was told I wasn’t logged in (I was). Tried again multiple times to “error message”. Gave up. Tried again in the top of the 9th inning. While attempting to watch ONE battle, it froze twice and I had to watch the same 2 ads on both occasions while the live game was going on. I hope by next year it is better..Version: 1.2.1

✓ Who approved this atrocity! 🤦🏾♂️This is bar FAR the worst app I’ve ever dealt with on AppleTV. Please just take this thing out of circulation until you learn how to program and stream properly. ✓ Absolutely uselessIt used to be that, about half the time I tried to stream a game, I'd get a prompt telling me to sign in using my cable carrier, even though I had already done so. I would have to exit and try the same thing again, and it would open the second time. But now I keep getting the sign in prompt over and over, so I can't even watch the game. ✓ Frustrating appI can’t tell you how many times I’ve logged in with my tv provider. To only be told I need to login my tv provider in the account tab. Every time I go, it’s logged in but won’t work. Idk if there is other errors involved with this, but when it says “ login your tv provider in the account tab”, and it’s literally logged in it’s extremely frustrating. Which is a real shame because you use to be able to get sny through nbc sports. But now because of this app you can’t, and the app won’t even work for me. Great concept though.Version: 1.1
✓ FrustratingI have always had Direct TV just to get SNY since 2011 because I live in Ohio. SNY has always blacked out Mets content for out of town viewers. Classic games, Mets specials, replays, etc. They are the only sports team specific network that blacks out all programming related to their team. I love the Mets but SNY makes it hard to watch from a far. Now the app is continuing this problem. I can’t watch most of the programming even though I am an SNY subscriber since I live in Ohio. Please change this finally. Will make the app and direct tv subscription experience better.Version: 1.0

✓ Can’t give zero stars?I was so excited to finally have an app available to watch Met games on the go. That excitement however was very short lived. The app does not work at all on my phone. It works on my fire stick and my iPad but freezes every few minutes and only unfreezes if I go back to the Home Screen and hit watch now again. ✓ Issues signing in No casting to TVI don’t know how a streaming app would not have casting ability at this point. Even worse is that the “TV Provider” function on the iPad does not load providers. You need to try to guess where your provider is on the screen. Then if you are lucky enough to sign in there is no full screen for the iPad. ✓ Great idea that I can’t even rate the execution of.I was told this was an app for in market streaming. Great! But then when I try to watch a Mets game while logged in with my provider and in the market, it says the content is not available in my location. Not great. But fine, maybe it was just for out of market and I was wrong, right? No, as when I travel to Florida for a vacation and try to watch the Mets from the app: content is not available in my location. ✓ Don’t give your credit card it’s a hack!Downloaded this free APP and was asked for my credit card info to verify it was me. I STUPIDLY provided the info. Within 5 mins I got 3 calls from my credit card company asking if I had just authorized a $5 charge to any company. I said no but I provided my info to verify my identity to SNY in the Apple APP store. They said you were hacked, we have to cancel your card and reissue you another one. I said in Apple’s APP store, how is that possible? I’ve been contacting merchants for a week including Apple and I’m not half done. Steve would never allow this!.Version: 1.3.3
✓ Stream is over an hour behind on RokuEverything looks and sounds great and it did work properly once but it seems to stream the content from over an hour prior. For example, I clicked “watch now” for the live game last night and it went to the program before the pre game show. The actual game (started at 6:30p) didn’t begin via my Roku until just before 8p. The app worked fine on my phone, though, and was streaming everything on time. I hope this is some sort nuanced bug that is just now being identified and will be rectified before too much of the season passes us by. Fingers crossed..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Really glitchyIt’s the most glitchy streaming app I have ever encountered and it’s not particularly close. Every single time I watch the Mets I need to close out the app and open it multiple times. Whoever is responsible for sny’s app I’m shocked they haven’t been fired yet. This app’s functionality is seriously just terrible beyond belief. ✓ Old bugs, new bugs, even with updates, no end in sightIPad: Have to physically move/rotate it to get full screen, also abruptly locks up during ads between almost every inning (have to close out/restart). This has actually gotten worse with later updates. At least constant sound dropouts were fixed (so far). And now new bugs: as the stream is always behind, the stream stops before the inning ends (!) to catch up with the timing of the ads, which usually stops everything dead. So, as the ads will cause a new blackout, I typically wait a couple minutes until I think the game is back on to restart. That’s how bad this app is. This was obviously rolled out far too early and is almost certainly the worst app I have ever dealt with..Version: 1.2.1
✓ Does not work..cannot watch the Mets games.I downloaded the app and logged in with my provider. Went to watch the Mets vs Marlins game and I kept getting a message that I needed to go to the accounts tab and log in with my provider. I had already done that and the padlock was gone so I know I logged in. What an absolute waste of time and a whole lot of frustration for Mets fans. The commercial breaks especially cause this crash because it looks like it is trying to load ads instead of showing the commercials from the broadcast. Definitely needs iPad support. ✓ Doesn’t workThis app is not functional on any platform: iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. The stream pauses randomly, and you have to close and relaunch it until it just happens to work. There’s no reason for this and then, after your game has been interrupted, they make you watch ads to get back to the feed! ✓ Terrible AppThe SNY app is one of the most awful apps I've ever used. In trying to watch a Mets game it buffers and then doesn't come back on and it does this almost every other batter. When I restart it I have to watch the same set of commecials I did a few minutes ago - only for it to stop yet again. SO very frustrating and I miss most of the game, I wish SNY had left well enough alone and continued with NBC Sports for watching games, I had no problem with it at all. ✓ Out of state- out of luckI was so excited when I heard SNY was going to have an app, 3 days before it came out, I had a timer ready to download when the time came. Well the time came, I was using this app out of state from my network-Optimum, since I still live in NY. Well 3 days into downloading this app, I was no longer allowed to watch anything SNY related that included the Mets game. Don’t waste your time with this app, especially if your out of state… for the moment. It won’t work. ✓ SoundI think the app is great but I’m having an issue where the sound keeps cutting in and out for about half a second every few seconds. It’s very annoying but I’m hoping that will be fixed later on. Also when watching live tv, the screen is very sensitive to switching from vertical to horizontal. ✓ Very Strange AppI’ve never encountered a steaming app like this one, which I have to use daily for Mets games. It works very well in PIP mode, but is a disaster in full-screen. When it is open, the full screen view constantly rotates back and isn’t sized correctly for the screen; the vertical view uses the lower 2/3rds for an oddly placed advertisement on a giant white space instead of any stats or buttons; and the 15 second FF and REW buttons are missing. I created an SNY account. I signed into my TV provider and I must’ve done this a dozen times, going around in circles. Nothing works. ✓ WORST APP EVERI have quite simply never experienced such an awful app before. It simply does not work. Last year it did not work, you would of thought they would have improved it in a year but NO! ✓ Please update this app for streaming!!!Any or all of the changes below are just basic development. There’s no good reason that you can’t enable these “features” that are basic to all streaming apps. 1 - enable casting to TV with google chromecast 2 - add Comcast xfinity to tv providers (doesn’t Comcast own part of SNY?!) 3 - allow screen mirroring/airplay from apple devices 4 - make the app available on Samsungs TV platform (even the YES app is available there) Updating the app to allow any of these changes will satisfy many subscribers in the tristate area and other Mets fans around the US. These are basic changes that all other streaming apps allow. I’m not trying to get something for nothing. I’m a subscriber through my Comcast xfinity subscription so I’m paying for your data/feed and should be able to watch from anywhere. Aren’t you reading the comments?.Version: 1.3.3
✓ UselessApp is actively advertised as allowing you to stream Mets games anywhere, anytime as long as you have an in-area cable subscription. Welp. That’s not true. FAQ section explains that there’s a weird 30 day travel thing where you have to literally watch a game from with the local area every 30 days or you’re unable to watch anything from the app. Why am I able to use the YES app to watch Yankees and Nets games truly whenever and wherever but this app is rendered useless? ✓ UselessI have this app for one reaso—to watch Mets games. Until recently I was able to do that. However then it started asking me to re-login using my provider info and it refuses to except my login information?! ✓ Keeps sticking at sign on to TV providerI used the app a couple of times in the spring to watch the Met games when I was out. Had very few problems. Maybe froze a little but four stars. Didn’t watch the whole summer and now tried to watch the Met game and it is asking for me to sign on to TV provider. Every time I try it freezes. Can’t sign on to provider. ✓ App is in Beta quality, if that.First two weeks only got a white page when trying to login to my service provider. Finally they fixed that, but in exchange every couple of hours it decides it can't detect my location services setting (which is on an allows access), so I get kicked out of the steam. ✓ Couldn’t get past the starting lineLike so many others, I downloaded the app with moderate expectations but was sorely disappointed. I live out of state and was hoping to watch SNY shows and Mets games (as an option to MLB Extra Innings) but couldn’t get past the inputting of my local service provider info. ✓ Great concept, terrible executionI have this app for my iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV and exclusively use it to watch the Mets games and postgame show. Across every device the game livestream always seems to freeze. 90% of the time this problem occurs during ad breaks. It sometimes takes a few tries to get the stream back up and running by closing out the app and restarting it, causing me to miss parts of the game which can be extremely frustrating. The fact that the app is not totally optimized for iPad is also slightly frustrating. I was very excited for the launch of this app as I felt it was long overdue, but the execution has been sub par at best. ✓ Useless AppWhen the app works, you can only watch outside of the NY area for 7 days before you need to reset in the NY area. Only good in the area where you can WATCH IT ON TV. I want an app to watch SNY when outside of NY, specifically Mets shows and pre/post game. Games blacked out doesn’t matter; I have the MLB app for that (which works splendidly, I might add). ✓ Doesn’t workThe button to sing into my account is unresponsive. When I click on my cable provider to sign it I just get a blank screen and can’t sign in. I’ve deleted and reinstalled many times and it doesn’t make a difference. To those complaining about being out of network, that is the regulations, you can’t watch local networks when you don’t live in that region. ✓ TerribleConstantly lagging. I got it on my phone and worked fine. Got it on my iPad and won’t let me sign in because I’m signed in on my phone. Signed out on phone, still wouldn’t work on ipad. Tried creating new account on iPad, says email in use already (tried multiple, all of which were my email accounts and mine only, same message each time). Ridiculous. Could be sooo much better. ✓ Constant freezingSince the app launched, I have had constant issues with the video stream freezing and needing to be restarted. I’ve stopped watching several games because I was having to restart more than once a minute. Recently the audio has begun dropping out while the video stream continues as well. Use the app to watch Mets games almost exclusively on an iphone, but have given it a shot on other devices with the same issues. Still relatively new, hoping they can work out the kinks..Version: 1.1
