App is uselessI can’t place an order using the app. I can’t scroll down the menu as I should be able to. The most I can do is scan rewards, which is okay. But now since phone orders aren’t allowed it leaves me not wanting to place an order half the time. Plus most Lira Sushi’s in LA don’t have sufficient parking without paying..Version: 1.2

App bugs / not usableThe restaurant is fantastic. This app, not so much. Constantly reloads, can look at the menu before it bugs and sends you back to the main page. The old app wasn’t great either, but was at least usable. Hopefully some updates will help in the future..Version: 1.1

Account creation brokenI had the old app and used to join the waitlist every time. Unfortunately, when I downloaded the new app now I can’t use my old account and when I try to use the new one it says “ADMIN Access ONLY” and I can’t make a new account. Please fix because no one can join the waitlist anymore..Version: 1.1

App does not responseThe order experience is horrible. App does not respond when Swiping up/down. Or it just takes a very long time to refresh. This app needs improvement on responsiveness. Someone needs to retest this app before release. Why do i have to “Reload” every time I move from one tab to another. It takes me about 15 minutes to order about 4 or 5 items. Impossible to useLike the title says, it is completely impossible to use the app to order sushi for pickup or delivery. The other low star recent reviews are accurate. It lags unbelievably hard to the point where the screen is completely frozen for 20 seconds at a time and eventually becomes completely unresponsive. Just tried 5 SEPARATE times to order something for my birthday and had to give up completely. Payment will not process through the desktop website either. Complete and utter garbage. Does this restaurant not want money or what?.Version: 1.2

BadI eat here quite often and the rewards only give you $5 off coupons that expire within a month and you can only use 2 at a time. Nice to get a slight discount on a regular $75 to $100 bill but it’s pretty useless overall. It’d be nice if you could choose a discount based on your rewards points accumulated. I currently have 7 $5 rewards I’d have to go 4 times to use in 20 days..Version: 1.1

App is brokenThe app used to work. Yesterday, after I get into the app, it kept complaining about no network access. So I deleted the app and re-installed from App Store, and now all the app does is to show the splash screen with “loading your experience…” at the bottom and nothing else happens. Unrelatedly, on the App Support link in the App Store, it brings me to webpage where I fill in all the details and pick a photo to upload a screenshot, but the submit button constantly brings up error message “How can we reach you? field [sic] is required” and “The Upload Attachment field is required” despite already selecting a photo to upload and all other fields with my contact info are filled in and there wasn’t any field specifically named to indicate “how to reach me”.Version: 1.2

Your points expire right after you get themVery easy to earn rewards but then they expire within twenty days. The app should let you keep your points until you are ready to redeem them..Version: 1.1

Drain battery faster than PubgThe food itself is amazing. The app is a disaster. Constant lagging & drain my battery like crazy. Even small orders takes at least 10 minutes because of the lag. Not only that, sometimes my order gets canceled randomly, so I’d have to spend another 10 minutes re-ordering everything. Just a little advice, you can’t do anything about the lag, at least have a “save order” function of something. So people can come back and finish their order after scraping up more patience..Version: 1.1

Tampered with my phoneDownloading the new app and using my email somehow caused my device be recognized as an unknown device by Google gmail. I use my email daily on my device and have never been prompted to have to recover my email because gmail doesn’t recognize my device. I am now unable to access my gmail on my device all together. This app tampered with my phone!.Version: 1.1

Terrible rewards systemI understand that this is a marketing and retention ploy, but having points expire so quickly is really really annoying. i don't even use the app in store anymore because i know i'm not going to be able to use the points anyway. not everyone has the money or time to go to kura every few weeks, and it feels a bit unfair and discouraging to know that my loyalty is on a ticking clock. the waitlist function is also weirdly convoluted, i'm not sure why i need to check in after already having added myself to the waitlist. i usually end up waiting an extra ten minutes after checking in which is annoying. i do appreciate being able to know what events and collabs are happening! and i really appreciate the infrequency of notifications. i don't feel spammed by the app which is a huge deal for me..Version: 1.2

Needs to be improved/updatedI liked the app better when you can see what number you are in line. It’s frustrating not knowing if they are taking in customers in order or just taking people randomly. Also, what is the point of this app if after joining the waitlist, I still have to check the status through a text message that takes me to a different website?!.Version: 1.1

Painfully slowTrying to place a pickup order is nearly impossible. It is very slow on loading and scrolling half a centimeter at a time makes ordering unbearable. The app may also be inaccurate. Many items are listed as Out Of Stock on the app. But while dining in, I started a mock pick up order. The items that were “out of stock” were on the conveyer belt and I was also able to order it on the touch screen and it was sent to my table. There much room for improvement with the app. I how the devs see this review..Version: 1.1

Join a waitlist for nothingI joined the waitlist from home and left to be in time for the estimated table but then I have to check in for my waitlist. When you get a text confirmation, it doesn’t say anything about this, just “We’ll tell you when your table is nearly ready”. Nothing about check in still which is frustrating. Stood outside for 15 minutes before I noticed other people checking in and then I was 10th on the waitlist. Very frustrating system. Seems kinda pointless.Version: 1.1

Forces you to lose your rewards if you don't go often enough.The app forces you to redeem your $5 off rewards once you've hit 500 points, then forces it to expire in 3 weeks, making you perpetually need to go back to make full use of the rewards. This is terrible for people who live 1+ hrs away and still want to take advantage of the rewards, but don't want to have to come every 3 weeks..Version: 1.1

Slow and unresponsive appDon't try placing pickup orders through the app. The app is completely unresponsive and when it does work I can scroll for a split second then it'll stop working again. Not convenient at all as I can't even scroll through the menu items. Let alone add them to the cart to checkout. So frustrating..Version: 1.1

Servers don’t Understand how to redeem couponsVery frustrating to actually redeem coupons from severs. I had an issue with Russell at the Irvine location in which he refused to scan coupons on a split bill, despite us asking before hand to bill us separately.Version: 1.1

POINTS AUTOMATICALLY REDEEMEDPoint system is broken. They are automatically redeemed FORCING you to use them once you get to a certain threshold. also waitlist time is not accurate. No way to contact developers. Emailed about this weeks ago, still no response..Version: 1.1

App is TRASHThis app is TRASH! I loved this place but since converted over to this new app I’ve been unable to log in and migrate my points. I’ve tried calling the store for app support and they told me use the same credentials (which I did), delete the old app (which I did), delete the new app and try again (and did) and nothing worked. I asked if they had any other way for me to join the wait list and they told me no. I refuse to wait 1 hr 30 mins at the store. I have hundreds of points and was a loyal customer. THEY HAVE LOST ME NOW! SMH.Version: 1.2

Worst app I've ever usedThis app cannot be used to order if you hope to scroll through the menu. There seems to be a memory leak or errant miscalculation upon display of the menu that disallows scrolling past nigiri section. If you're lucky, you might be able to search for specific items and add them to your order, but I have never gotten past that point before the return to the menu freezes the rest of the UI out. As you can't make reservations at locations the old app allowed them, I've decided to just give up on the entire franchise. Mutenmaru needs more plates; he will no longer be receiving them from me..Version: 1.1

App gave me brain damageI’d rather get ran over than try to order off of the app again. it freezes constantly, making it so you can’t swipe through the whole menu until 20 mins later. it’s built for only the most patient ppl alive. there’s a refresh button for the ordering page but it doesn’t work. if you refresh the app it’ll rid of your entire order and you have to manually add the food in again. worst app i’ve ever used, i used doordash instead..Version: 1.2

Great food but this new app is complete garbageI had 400+ points under my old account. When I Migrated to this new app it brought over those points but with the first receipt I scanned my points went to 17. What why?? On top of that I made a mistake and didn’t update the year on my birthday and now it says it is going to delete my account because I’m in violation of their TOS and I can’t fix it in the app. My only recourse is to file a complaint. No love for the appWas at restaurant and had to download the new app to transfer my hundreds of points. After trying to get the new app to facilitate the transfer (the buttons are not visible). The new app has less functionality than the old appBe aware if you have used the previous app and have had two people or devices connected to the same account that this configuration is no longer permitted. The downgraded functionality means my wife and I can’t use the same account in the app. While it may be harsh to downgrade the app for disabling useful features, this one seems particularly short-sighted on the part of the product team. It means we’ll only use the app when we are going together and not when I am going to lunch with co-workers. It feels like the product team have no idea how people actually use technology as a family. Boo. Fix this..Version: 1.1
