✓ 30sec voice to email only.....Very basic voice recorder, the point they don't clearly tell you, is that voice recordings must be shorter that 30sec to turn into an email, tired of apps over selling themselves and under delivering....Version: 2.5.3
✓ ShameReading previous reviews and I can see I’m not the only with this issue and I will be reaching out to apple for a refund for paying for the iCloud feature Idc if it’s been over a year, it clearly doesn’t work and there’s no one to get in contact with. Last app update 7 months ago. I’ve had the QuickVoice app on my iphone for years. I have the iCloud feature turned on in Settings in the app. In my iCloud settings the QuickVoice app is turned on to backup the info on the app and I had to pay for this feature to be able to back up all my years worth of recordings. Now on my new iPhone after restoring from a backup 4 different times and transferring data from my old iPhone, the app is not showing any of my previous recordings and it doesn’t show they are loading. I even recorded a test record and it did show. I’m currently using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. My old iPhone is an iPhone XS Max and before that it was an iPhone 6 Plus and an iPhone 4. That’s how long I’ve been using this app.Version: 3.0.4

The only way you can easily get the recording off the phone is to keep the recording to under 5meg or use iTunes which is of little help if you are not on the computer that you have your backup. ✓ Nice features but sound quality REALLY lets it downSorry to have to back up the comments about poor sound quality. It *really* needs improvement. The interface is good, and the syncing/importing feature just added is also useful (my old Sony dictaphone did the same thing) ... but yes, when I tested VoiceNotes after buying QuickVoice ... VoiceNotes has *much* better sound playback quality (proving the iPhone audio system can do the job)... I like the feature set and I like the interface, so bring on an upgrade! ✓ NO DONT DOWNLOAD LATEST UPDATE!Nice & clean interface - timedate stamp/duration/file size BUT you cant get the files off the iphone (i.e. you cant email them to yourself or sync them with itunes for playback/editing on your computer). it's not clear what format the program records the sound in e.g. WAV?! recordings are pretty quiet. you also cant set/adjust the recording volume. Lame.I'm not trying to be mean here but unless I'm missing something I don't see any advantage to having this over the included Voice Memos app (at least it was included with my iPod Touch 4th gen, which is what this review is based on) and the incredibly awesome yet FREE Dragon Dict app. If this app did the same things as the aforementioned apps but in an easier fashion and/or with fewer steps, I'd gladly give it higher ratings, but it doesn't, it just does the same things but a different way and IMO this app and it's pay version are definitely inferior. ✓ Total scam, recordings deleted even with upgradeI had seen this app advertised in a couple places online and dismissed the reviews that warned about exactly what happened. I had bought the $0.99 upgrade to avoid exactly that. I'm surprised that Apple has as many fraudulent apps available on its App Store. ✓ Deleted recording by appThis application deleted all my important recordings recently. This is very disappointing given I was a long term user with the free and purchased versions of this application. This is not good business practice and proof the developers are not taking their customers seriously. I do not recommend this application to anyone who needs to save their recordings. ✓ Transfering the recordings to DropBox or computerI have been using this app for a few months now. It is an excellent app for recording voice memos and lectures. However, there does not seem to be a way to transfer these recordings from my iPad to my computer. Even uploading to Dropbox fails. This app does not appear in the iTunes app list of the device, so recordings cannot be copied to the computer. Tried to open the recording in another app, which also did not work. Uploading to dropbox also failed. If the developers do read these reviews, please help. ✓ Didn’t upgrade and deleted my filesNot happy, I was trying to export one of my files for a course I’m doing and told me I needed to upgrade to Pro to do this which I did and paid 99p to do this then it didn’t upgrade and lost ALL MY DATA!! ✓ Scrambled recordingsI’m kinda going nuts that I can’t find recordings in the order that they were recorded in after updating to iPhone 11! ✓ Company not in business???I’m posting this hoping the developer sees this. I tried to contact through the website, and it goes to a page saying the website is for sale when you submit the form. (Although oddly it’s a different website address with a dash). Previous rating was 5 stars. I’ve used this since probably since 2012. Easy for a quick recording and does well recording voice, choir, and pipe organ performances. Can choose high quality setting and email to self easily. PROBLEM: suddenly in the last couple months, it deleted all of my recordings going back 8 YEARS!!! OMG. ALL GONE. 😭 — and it seems the software is deleting my files every single night. — this is why I tried to contact the developer to see if there’s a setting I need to change which I couldn’t find in my iPhone/QuickVoice settings. Sadly, I think I’m going to have to find a new recorder. But honestly it might be for the best since there was no sorting feature in this and it would organize it haphazardly not even in chronological order. Bummed. Ps. ✓ QuickVoice Erased my Entire 5 Year HistoryI had about five years’ worth of memos. When I opened the app a week ago, they had all disappeared. I thought it was an issue with iOS updates, but it wasn’t. This app has no support, either. I tried to email them via their website and after hitting submit, I was taken to a page whose domain is for sale. I am livid. I had irreplaceable memos on their from a time before I lost my voice. I will never get my voice back and it is looking like I’ll never recover these memos either. I had about 60 saved and they will not load from my iCloud backup. ✓ One more refinement PleaseI need a good (not excellant) iPhone recording App. I have tried two. The first free one has Excellant quality sound but absolutely no no program features except record/save. Terrific record quality but just to basic. The next App download gave me more App features but muffled dull sound recording. So back to iTunes and reading all the manufacturers coments on all recorders before trying another one it was easy to be conviced by the coments by Quick Voice. This was the feature rich program that would allow for various settings levels and play backs and it was possible to receive a second App for the computer to allow you to move recordings from the iphone to the computer. The features are there and I look forward to down load the App for the computer but there is a real problem. All sound recordings are very poor. The sound is as though you have speech impediment in the form of lispe. I have tried all settings. I encourage Quick Voice to correct this problem quickly. They have everything else well set up for customer satisfaction. Surely there will be an update/patch to correct this one problem and this will become the best voice recording a App. I look foreward to posting 10/10. While the sound quality is good for lectures and it saves in m4 format and you can email your recordings, some of the features of the app are highly annoying. I have tried launching QuickVoice first, starting recording then switching to Skype. Alas, as soon as Skype begins, the QuickVoice recording is ended. Launching Skype first then switching to QuickVoice ends the Skype call. Various Internet sites claim that it is able to background record almost specifically for Skype users. ✓ This App is Faulty - Don't Risk ItI needed an app to record an important interview, so I bought this, plugged in my mic, did a couple of tests. Seemed ok. When I went to play back the interview, got nothing. The noise level was moving during the recording, all seemed ok, but just hiss on play back. Terrible. Don't risk it. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO:- • NO Edit recordings • NO Overwrite anywhere in recording • NO Append more at end of recording • NO Insert feature (far more useful than the usual overwrite that most have, which destroys any following recording). • NO mark and delete unwanted bits. • NO macros. Useful for storing often used phrases, and also for templates, • NO scrolling real-time waveform. This would allow accurate marking for cutting of even a single sound, e.g. a cough. Not possible on a compressed waveform. It doesn't matter here: you can't edit recordings anyway. • NO Voice activated recording to avoid silences. • NO Bookmarks that can be inserted during recording, and playback, listed and editable. • NO ability to mark and save sections of a recording. • NO ability to shuffle and assemble saved clips to form new recording. ✓ This app should be bannedSurely, this is the only voice recording app that does not let you access your files. In fact, the only app full stop. It will record voice files, but you can only play them on your iPad- no copying to your pic, no import to iTunes, unless you upgrade to the premium version. And even then, it's not easy. True, you can send short recordings in an email attachment. But it doesn't work for long recordings and is obviously impractical if you've got a lot of files. Someone is making a lot of money from this app: it allows you to record hundreds of voice files, and then holds them all to ransom. I am going to recommend that this app be banned..Version: 3.0.2

✓ What’s going on with customer support??I currently updated from the IPhone 6 Plus to a IPhone X. Once I backed up my phone from the cloud 90% of my QuickVoice notes were not restored. ✓ Almost great but no landscape mode?It's really irritating that this app only works by holding the iPad in portrait, if it goes to landscape the app crashes and you lose your recording. ✓ The Need For a Update!QuickVoice is an app that I love and at the same time REALLY want it to get a modern update. I really like the ability to email recordings and the ability to manipulate the sound quality. This makes it easy to shrink recordings to send them and to increase the sound quality when in a busy place to get rid of some of the distortion. However, the look of the app is incredibly dated. I am also using a free iPhone app called VoiceNotes which impressed me with its recording and playback quality, but I changed to Quick Recorder because the VoiceNotes interface required too many steps to start recording - an important consideration if you usually record on the run (or while driving). QuickVoice Recorder however provides a very slick looking interface that starts and finishes recording with a minimal of fuss. I would have thought the recording quality would be exactly the same for any application if they are runnign on iPhone, but clearly, they are not. QuickVoice has a scratchy shallower sound, possibly using very high compression ratios. The difference is extremely noticeable. ✓ Cumbersome export featureI managed to retrieve my recordings, but it was a cumbersome 3 step process that is poorly expalined and not very user friendly. Step 1 is a full iTunes backup, step 2 is an import via QV desktop app, step 3 is a file conversion to a compatible file format. You end up with 3 copies of the voice files, when you only need one. ✓ Can't get important recordings off my phoneI think this app is good at recording but inability to take the recorded audio files off the phone completely defeats the purpose. The only way to get the files off is to email them to yourself. You can't email large files so if important recordings are 1-3 hours long. You basically lost them. That's what happened with me after I recorded an important business presentation. I couldn't stored anywhere else and later my phone crushed and I lost a very valuable and expensive piece of information.
