Versatile bloggingI run a pretty large community site based on Drupal, and this one of the few apps to support it. The interface is clean and it allows me to do everything I could possibly need to do..Version: 0

Like it. Easy use.The format is fun and simple. You can do a lot with the tools they give you. I would not pay ten dollars for it but I'm satisfied with the app for the price I paid. It needs portrait and a better way to post pictures. I hate how you can only get part of the picture on there..Version: 0

Excellent Mobile Blogging SoftwareThis app is exactly what I've needed for over a year now. I have a Drupal blog, and mobile publishing always involved email. If I wanted to add an image to a post, forget it...I had to email it to Flickr and have Flickr post it to my blog. And either way, I was unable to select the category I wanted to use for the post (only one default category can be used). This software impressed me by grabbing all my categories and existing blog posts on my site, to start. Then it made adding a new entry so simple that I was shocked. Many other blog engines are supported as well, but I can say, with certainty, that it shines with Drupal and was well worth every penny. I'd like to see Tumblr blogs supported in the future, so that I can delete the other (free) app that I use for Tumblr and free up some space on my iPhone's springboard..Version: 0

Good app, room for improvementThis seems to be one of the better blogging apps out there- it supports multiple blogs and uploads images with posts, etc. Drawbacks: -a footer message says you made the post with iBlogger. why this message when I paid $ for the app!?! -no way to edit blog settings -uploaded images are cropped to square and resolution is low.Version: 0

Great stuffEasy to use.Version: 1.0.9

The Best iPhone Blogging App, but not yet perfectThis app is very reasonable, seems to have a good set of features and is certainly the most capable blogging application I have found thus far on iPhone. However its not perfect. - No ability to post as draft, or set a posts status to draft. Means you can only Post Live. NOTE: you can remove the unsolicited text link advert from your posts in system preferences..Version: 0

Illuminex strikes again!!As usual, illuminex solves some problems we were just getting used to. I may even blog myself now ....Version: 3.0.2

Really good blog clientVery good one. I would say best one available on iPhone currently but with few 'but': 1. Does not integrate Twitter 2. Adds on the bottom of the pos message - "Posted with iBlogger with my iphone" - without warning you. Fix these two and we have ultimate winner :).Version: 0

Golden AppsThis app is very good for making posts on your blog only a few suggestions. You should be able to add more then 1 picture and you should be able to choose to put the picture at the bottom of your post or be able to drag the picture to where you want it to be..Version: 0

AMAZING AND PERFECT!All I can say is that there is no blogging program for the Iphone that even comes CLOSE to this one. Works 100% It also works with Vox blogs - they should add it to the list. It pulls your existing posts, it lets you do everything, the interface is excellent, I can't say enough good things about this thing..Version: 0

Well worth it!I'll be updating my blog way more frequently now that I've got an easy way to do it from my iPhone! Well worth the $.99..Version: 0

Nice appStable and reliable this app is hugely better than, for example, the disappointing Typepad mobile version if you use that blogging platform. Biggest bonus for me is that it resizes pics perfectly. It also saves posts as drafts so you can finish them off later. Very pleased with it to date..Version: 0

IBloggerA number of the reviews here are confused. iBlogger, like Ecto, is a blog client. It will not create a blog for you. You must already have a blog somewhere. The best comparative example to give is a Mail Client. You can do your mail on a website but many people like to have an offline mail client like Mail on your Mac or Outlook on a PC. So what's the advantage of a client like this? Well it allows you to work on your blog unconnected ie you don't need to either have a web connection nor do you need to publish until you are ready. When it connects for the first time, it downloads the contents of your current blog - all your posts - and so you have that to review even if you do not have a connection. The beauty of this on the iphone is you can blog just at the point you feel the urge even if you have no full web connection. You can publish whenever it suits you, giving you lots of time to re-edit or simply when you next get a connection. So I don't feel you need the save as draft option. It's draft automatically until you publish. The application does need some setting up. If you have set-up a mail client you will understand this. So do have the relevant information from your existing weblog available. I have used it very successfully with the MetaWeblog set-up and it does post text and images very well. There is some basic formatting to allow the image to be centred, set to the right or left with text wrap round. It posts a small version of the image embedded in the text and this "thumbnail" hotlinks to a full size version in the blogging software I use. If you know anything about how blogs work, this is pretty impressive as it is placing the full size image in your files area and creating the layout automatically. The only downside is that when I have a poor connection, it struggles to upload with an image. I'm guessing this is to do with the network timing out as the image is physically too big at full size from the camera and takes too long to upload. So a minor request, could the image editor allow reduced resolutions to be uploaded as one can do in the mail.app?.Version: 0

Eiger North face testedUsed Iblogger on the North Face of the Eiger this winter, posting to an expression engine site. Worked like a treat, although have yet been able to post images..Version: 0

Good for the pricePretty good up. Can't go wrong with it..Version: 0

GreatNeeds a warning before clicking a link that results in opening safari.Version: 0

IBlogger is exactly what I've been wanting for so long!A good friend of mine at illumineX let me participate in the beta testing period of iBlogger and I'm so happy that it is now finished. It was so easy to install and add my blog ... and I'm new to blogging. This is so neat to be able to update my blog when I'm riding on the bus going to and from work. I'm able to upload pictures with no problem. What else can I say, this application is well worth the price..Version: 0

Highly recommended.I had an earlier version and didn't use it much. Now with all the updates since then this app has become so streamlined and polished. I love it!! Well worth the cost to anyone serious about blogging!.Version: 0

GREAT app; don't believe the bad reviewsThe reviews seemed all over the place for this app so it took awhile before I downloaded this app and must say that it is simply amazing. I have 6 blogs on my Squarespace account, each with multiple articles. To set iBlogger up to access my blogs, I just had to enter my username and password then seconds later, all 6 blogs appeared and clicking on any of them showed all my currently published articles. Creating a new post could not be easier. Just start typing a title then edit the article. Not ready to publish? Just don't push the Publish button and the draft is saved on the iPhone. In fact, I have two articles on different blogs in draft form now and will publish when they are ready enough for me. Some people are reluctant to spend $9.99 for an app and seem to think nothing is worth more than $0.99. Well, this one is well worth it. There is nothing wrong with this app...ok, Landscape typing would move it 6 stars instead of 5:>).Version: 0

Nice!Excellent app this one. I've been a long time Ecto user and this is based on the same blogging code so it was eagerly anticipated :) I'd like a little more control over images, size and placement etc. plus the ability to upload more than one pic too, both of which I hope will come in a future update. Well deserving 4*s, a couple of tweaks and it would be worth a 5 :).Version: 0

Typically I dont give out 5's However... Read onFor starters I try not to write reviews untill I have all the information for my review. Alot of people download a application try to get it to function or have a small problem with it then jump on the website and post something negative about the product. This application is very specific and for a specific purpose. You have to remember whenever your grabbing a application that connects to a specific service such as this one "a blog" The website itself that your connecting to has to be properly configured to connect to it. I am saying this because I downloaded the application and connected to my wordpress blog without a problem yes the website was already configured to support the connection of blogging software so all the functions worked immediatly. Then I attempted to connect it to my drupal blog site which had never had a application connect to it (I manage both websites) There is a few steps you have to take as the administrator in order to get these type of apps to access these type of sites. Im not going to list exactly how to set it up here because your site might differ from mine. However what I do want to say is that I emailed them directly for support Within 20-25 minutes of me sending off the email we began conversation on what was going on with my site. They passed me back helpful information for getting it configured and with a little google help and there help it was up and running in no time. another way to kind of test your blog before you even purchase it is go download a free or trial version blogging software that connects in pretty much the same way to see if its going to work at all. Im not saying this is a perfect test but its a good idea. As a suggestion ecto has a free application for writing to blogs including drupal try it out chances are if that cant connect to your blog then this app wont either. Now onto the actual application itself The app pretty much works 100 percent as advertised I can connect post my blog including pictures links and everything shows up on site instantly for the most part. The application has shut down on me a couple times not a constant problem though. I suspect that this also happens more when ive been in and out of alot of applications on my phone without a reset or anything of the sort.. The application also has other things that werent necessarily mentioned for example when connecting to my drupal blog -- on the site I have the ability to write a story - page - or blog so when I put in my acccount details it automatically downloaded the 3 blog functions in the list and I can post to all of them. (i am not saying this will work on all your blogs or on your specific drupal blog) Its the way my blog site is configured. The application runs very smooth for the most part not many slow downs and I could type in my information pretty quickly without alot of hassle. I always think there is room for updates on applications and new features With the support of there company on my situation it made me very pleased and made it very easy to rate this app a 5 Feature request : it would be nice to beable to create folders for your blog list on the application - so you could seperate multiple accounts for the same blog or multiple sites in categorys that you want. so if your having problems with this app please contact them.Version: 0

Nice app!I just got this app and I use Blogger and it worked fine. Very easy. Real nice app. Wish it had landscape. If it did I would actually use it. I use another app that has landscape to post blogs..Version: 0

Perfect on XangaI bought this app hoping for an easier way to update to my xanga. It definitely delivered. Absolutely no complaints. However, I bought it back in the day for $1.99....I really don't know if it's worth 10 dollars now just for the convenience..Version: 0

IBlogger is a worthy mobile evolution of ectoIBlogger is based on the desktop blogging application ecto. It's well-featured, and supports a range of blog servers, as well as the generic Moveable Type and Metaweblog APIs. Setting up a blogging account is pretty easy because iBlogger can usually discover your publishing endpoint given a blog address. You can set up multiple blogs. Creating and editing a post is straightforward, though the interface is a little quirky, and publishing's a snap. The posting footer (mentioned by a previous reviewer) can be customised, or turned off, in iPhone's Settings. iBlogger's location-aware, and, if you blog engine supports it, you can upload photos. Currently iBlogger doesn't support generic Atom Publishing Protocol, but the developers say this is coming. I've found illumineX very helpful - always replying within a day. If you're a serious mobile blogger, or run your own blogging server, this is the one to get..Version: 0

SweetI've been waiting for a Drupal iPhone app and was utterly overjoyed to see that this one was prodded by the makers of Ecto, still my favourite blogging app. Installation was effortless, as was adding and removing test posts with images (works either from the photo album or direct camera mode.) I'll update this when I've had more time to play with it, but so far Everything's been great..Version: 0

By far the best!!!!!When I bought this app, I wanted to see what the fuss was all about after Reading it from a blog. To my amazement I have never had an easier blogging tool on this phone. Brilliant buy must HAVE!!!!!.Version: 0

Excellent appI am using this with wordpress and have found it very reliable and simple to use and all for just 59p The only addition I would like is the ability to change blog attributes such as the publish date..Version: 0

Great ApplicationI had originally written and stated that this application was so horrible that I wanted my money back. I am now making a full retraction on that statement. The folks at illumineX were great. They read my review, personally contacted me and helped me in getting my site up and running with iBlogger. I am not sure how much more you could ask of a developer. I am now using this tool every day. I think, for blogging software, this is a little pricey. That said, for the functionality it gives you, it's well worth the money. I am looking forward to future versions of this software..Version: 0

Needs photo supportGreat blog program, especially if you have multiple accounts and use Blogger. Photo support with pictures taken from the iPhone would be nice and are a must in a future release..Version: 0

Great for Teachers...!Just great! Works perfect with Edublogs and allows me to upload homework from the classroom... Thank you!.Version: 0

Great App!Works great with my wordpress blog. Had it setup and running in 2 minutes. Note: Its easy to turn off or change the footer/auto signature. Just go to Settings, scroll down, and go to the iBlogger options..Version: 0

More Features PleaseMore development required howver the best of its kind out there.Version: 0

God Send....I'm a ridiculous critic about everything. Let me tell you...this is absolutely "A1". I use blogspot and when I logged in using my iPhone, everything was laid out exactly the way it is on the website. This makes it super easy to post and manage your blogs on the go. I'll be in Army OCS (not exactly liberal on time or computer access) for 13 weeks, and this program adds so much value to my iPhone. Being able to have my most important apps from my laptop on my iPhone makes a world of difference. Thanks for making a great app..Version: 0

Great app! This app is great. It does everything it says. It's great cause it let's me work on drafts on the go. It's also a life saver for this embarrasing spelling mistakes. This a must for any blogger..Version: 0

Great AppThis is a great App for mobile blogging. I was using the WordPress application, but iBlogger has great features and a nice interface. I especially like the ability to add location information to the post. The selection of categories, tags, and adding photos it well implemented and easy to use. I'm not a "hardcore" blogger, but I think it is worth the $10 for the features alone. I would recommend it to anyone with a blog..Version: 0

Waste of £6Will not publish anything to my blogger account. Furthermore, it has no support for photos(unlike the claims). DO NOT BUY.Version: 0

This is THE best blogging app yet!And believe me, I've tried every single one of them that supports wordpress. Let's see...I've typed a long blog after taking some photos of the fall colors around town here, only to have the program respond witih 'login/password err', or some other problem that eventually loses everything I've typed. This program has made it realistic for me to blog wherever I am, and not worry about it messing up. It's really hard to do blog entries at home, because I'm hardly there! So now, this application has been everything I expected and needed. Thanks, guys!.Version: 0

The best iPhone blogging AppThis is the best blogging app for the iPhone, as it supports a wide range of blogging services. I use SquareSpace and it works almost perfectly. The only minor problem I have is it does not appear to support multiple blog editors/bloggers, and my test post timestamp was out bt 1hr. I have been in email communication with illumineX support, and they are very responsive, and are working on the 2 minor issues. I can not comment on other blogging services, but if you are using SquareSpace, and are the only editor/blogger, then this app is highly recommended..Version: 0

Just what I neededAble to post stuff to my blog, including photos. Not exciting but functional and not complicated..Version: 0

Great app, but...This is a great app. I do almost all of my blogging with it now. If it supported landscape typing, it'd be near perfect. Update: I'm also still waiting for the promised update with photo support for Blogspot.Version: 0

Could be betterIt would have been 5 stars, but doesn't support Landscape mode. Contacted developers who advised they have not had many requests, therefore not top of their list.Version: 0

It is worth it to meI have been a little picky when it comes to blogging tools. The main reason is because I have a blog which is Drupal driven - everything that I use must be compatible. I tried BlogPress but I could not get it to work with my site when it came to adding categories. iBlogger linked in the first time and I was able to pick and choose the categories that I wanted. I was also able to upload photos to my blog from my iPhone. Yes, I know the issue with cropping a picture, however, it does do as advertised. Worth it in my book. Would like to see video upload capability and a way of posting the same material to a Facebook wall..Version: 0

Really Good...But it needs to be able to use the <!--more--> function with wordpress! If you type it in, sure, it works on the blog, but it seemingly deletes the hidden bit of your entry on iblogger!! Please sort this out!!! Other than that it's awesome. :D.Version: 0
