What is TripView? Description of TripView

TripView displays Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane public transport timetable data on your phone. It features a summary view showing your next services, as well as a full timetable viewer. All timetable data is stored on your phone, so it can be used offline.

Features:
- View times for any saved trip with a single tap
- Real-time delay information and vehicle map (subject to data availability)
- Trackwork and service interruption information
- Interactive maps (create your trip by clicking on your station/stop)
- Alarms (arrival/departure, time/distance)
- Multi-modal trip editor (customise exact change locations / lines)
- View your favourite trips on Apple Watch

NOTE: Best efforts are taken to ensure timetable accuracy, but no guarantees are made. If you find an error in the timetable, please email [email protected] with details. No guarantees are made about real-time data availability. If the transit operator doesn't provide real-time data for a particular service, TripView will revert to showing the scheduled time, as per the timetable.

Alarms require iOS4 and a device that is capable of multitasking. Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

TripView Pros

AmazingBest public transport app I ever used!!.Chris Q NYCVersion: 4.0.1

IndispensableI find this app indispensable. It is really user friendly, the options allowing trips to be determined from the known to the unknown WHS father by route, stop or suburb. Where there are train station platform/line changes can be less straight forward and ideally where multiple forms of transport are required you would be able to split screen or something so you could more easily time swap-overs. It would also be good if it had an intelligent capability so if there were multiple routes from start point to end point it could show these plus shortest time/recommended route; also it would be good if it could calculate relative trip costs between alternative routes that would be useful..DamianGerardDooleyVersion: 5.7.3

TripView Cons

Could be brilliant with two extra featuresDisappointed to find that I can’t do the following: - instantaneously create a trip beginning from current location (i.e. GPS based) and then choose a destination. Would make finding options while in a real hurry much more feasible. Opal App can do this... the NextThere app can do this... - create a trip from a bus stop to a train station (rather than having to specifically choose one of the bus stops near the station). Not being able to do this rules out finding the best option for buses on multiple routes that start at the same bus stop but end at different stops at the same station e.g. M54 and 288 from Macquarie uni to Epping. I previously lived in Switzerland and the travel app (free) for their transport system combined the two above features to allow one to seamlessly figure out which was the bus/tram to hop on near present location to get home even if the trip ended with a train leg. So it’s been done elsewhere for free, why not here in a paid app?.FofMatVersion: 5.6

Great app, But!!!Awesome concept. Well built app but recent lately it has been letting me down. The bus locations on my daily morning route to work have stopped working and real time data is unavailable. Also on a large number of the busses in the eastern suburbs are no longer tracked Please fix, this is what makes this app awesome.Wotdidyoudid4677434Version: 3.7.1
