Generally okay - Real time data issuesThe primary reason for using this app is for the real time updates for the buses so that I and my family can plan and coordinate our trips on public transport. Whilst I was initially a champion for this app, I’ve noticed, over the past few months, that more and more buses aren’t being tracked and frequent messages stating “real-time data unavailable” are appearing from my saved routes. This problem has been exacerbated with the recent changes to the Sydney eastern suburbs bus routes (from 5 December). Previous routes have been removed or severely adapted. Due to the changes, it is highly likely that we now need to make at least one connection. The lack of real time data is irritating and making an already annoying situation worse. The main bus routes with noted problems are the 373, 374, 373X and 377X.Version: 5.8.8

Great app it you don't rely on it too muchI recently arrived in Sydney and being unfamiliar with the public transport system this app has generally proved valuable. very easy to use. However do not rely on this app unless you plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early for journeys. For the last 2 days I have missed the ferry trips because the ferry departed 5 minutes earlier than stated on the app which is frustrating when the next ferry doesn't come for another 20 minutes. The same is sometimes true for trains. It would be really helpful if schedules were updated live unstead of having to download updates.Version: 2.8

Awkward and difficult to figure outI travel a lot and use transit and transit apps all around the world. I found this one unusually complicated. This is great for people who take the same bus every day. You create a trip and save it, then all you have to do is click on that trip for real time info. Fantastic. For a tourist who doesn't know the area it's a nightmare to use. What I wanted was an app that would pop up with a map, I'd click on the stop I was at and see when the next buses would arrive. If it's possible with this app, I didn't figure out how to do it. In the end, I was usually able to get the information I needed, but it required lots of keystrokes, and you would have to know your general destination. Please make one where you can just put in a stop number and see the real time arrivals. For visitors, I would rate this as way too complicated, for locals it's going to work well assuming you travel the same basic routes..Version: 4.9.1

Great app, But!!!Awesome concept. Well built app but recent lately it has been letting me down. The bus locations on my daily morning route to work have stopped working and real time data is unavailable. Also on a large number of the busses in the eastern suburbs are no longer tracked Please fix, this is what makes this app awesome.Version: 3.7.1

If buses ran on time & traffic didn't existHopeless at predicting ETAs despite heaps of traffic data on which they could draw. Don't even bother relying on it if your route is even remotely affected by the Sydney lightrail construction, and the "service updates" are frequently wrong by underestimating how delayed your trip will be (off often by 15-40 minutes in my experience). But otherwise it's a life saver because it's still more accurate than the Sydney Transit schedules -_-.Version: 5.2.4

Lacking functionalityWish this had some of the functionality that opal travel app has. Specifically wish I could enter start and end points rather than have to tell the app which route I want to take..Version: 5.4.5

Does the jobNot the most intuitive app you will ever use but okay when you get used to it. Good for timetables but seriously what is the point in live tracking? I don't think I have ever once got anything meaningful out of it - data generally unavailable (at best) or wrong. Just turn it off!!!.Version: 3.8.2

Always 2 minutes offIt’s great for getting the bus times, but not always reliable. It consistently says my bus leaves 2 minutes later than it does. I know to arrive much earlier otherwise if I depended on the time it gives I would miss my bus which is quite frustrating!.Version: 5.6.7

DisappointedThis used to be a really good app but now the bus I take never shows the correct bus schedule. Like for e.g I know my bus is supposed to come at 7:44 but it doesn’t come up when u click on it in the app. The whole point of the app was to provide the bus schedule but the ONE bus I take shows the schedules from 2:30pm yesterday and just skips to 9:30am today only when I know there are buses that come between these times that don’t come up LIKE WHATTTT? And I also cannot see if my bus is late or not coz their isn’t even an button of my bus to click on. I tried deleting it and downloading it again but it still doesn’t work.Version: 5.4.7

Needs improvementThis app doesn't stand alone if you don't know where you are going. You still need to rely on something like google maps and for this to be a really helpful app, it needs to include a feature that allows you to look up your route, otherwise you are just juggling between multiple apps.Version: 5.4.2

Trip ViewPoorly laid out and confusing app..Version: 5.2

Not for someone new to the cityThis app may be good for commuters who have a specific journey they frequently make but for someone new to the city or making many differing trips the app quickly becomes cumbersome. A local geographical knowledge is essential for planning a bus trip. Do not rely on the real time bus times either. You can get caught out by a bus that at the last minute changes from running four mins late suddenly jumps to two minutes early, and just like in days before we used apps to make our days more efficient you get to see the back of the bus rather than the inside. Until public transport becomes more reliable do not rely on the information provided by this app, use it as a guide. The app also has some UX issues such as the trip in reverse button. The font on this button is tiny in comparison to the times on display and as such at a quick glance you may find yourself running for a departure that is actually leaving from your destination point. On some occasions such as with extended trip there is too much info on display and a far more simple view is required. That could be obtained by removing information about busses, trains etc that have already left..Version: 4.8.1

Less buttons to pressIt’s really annoying that you have to press around 7 buttons before you can get to your trip. Just instantly let me type in the name without having to press the search button first!!! Everyone hates this. Also it’s frustrating when you have to save a journey first - I never want to save my journey! I’m always in a. Rush so need info ASAP! Find the journey first by immediately letting me type in the name of ‘from’ location, then ‘to’ location then AFTER - you can give me the option to save the journey. It’s so easy to fix and would be a million times more user friendly I can promise! Also it’s really annoying when doing a bus train ferry connection and you have to type in seperately all 3. Just connect them! People aren’t stupid - they will see the breakdown of the 3 service types when then click into the trip. It’s honestly impossible to plan a trip on more than one transport type. Also - no one knows bud station names!!! You just need to let us navigate to the address and you need to best select the closest bus station. That must be infuriating for bus people.Version: 5.7.5

Could be brilliant with two extra featuresDisappointed to find that I can’t do the following: - instantaneously create a trip beginning from current location (i.e. GPS based) and then choose a destination. Would make finding options while in a real hurry much more feasible. Opal App can do this... the NextThere app can do this... - create a trip from a bus stop to a train station (rather than having to specifically choose one of the bus stops near the station). Not being able to do this rules out finding the best option for buses on multiple routes that start at the same bus stop but end at different stops at the same station e.g. M54 and 288 from Macquarie uni to Epping. I previously lived in Switzerland and the travel app (free) for their transport system combined the two above features to allow one to seamlessly figure out which was the bus/tram to hop on near present location to get home even if the trip ended with a train leg. So it’s been done elsewhere for free, why not here in a paid app?.Version: 5.6

HandyI enjoy this app but it is 1 min behind (I know it doesn't seem like a lot but makes a difference when you get to the stop thinking you have a minute to spare but the train is long gone) and not always correct in showing late night buses. Still a Sydney must have.Version: 5.2.8

Times off.Beware- some of the train times are inaccurate. This makes it very difficult and annoying to schedule a trip. It's been happening since the previous release. Please fix..Version: 3.2

Great but...I use this app daily and it’s generally pretty good. I don’t like how it shows when there’s a cancellation and information about stops it’s skipped but then once it’s past those stops and you look at the app later it shows up as if it stopped at those stops and nothing about the cancellation. It almost makes you look like a liar when you’re trying to explain why you were late. Why not just leave the information as it occurred. Also when you’ve got custom trips the delays aren’t showing on the arrival time of your destination until you go into the trip... it’s misleading, especially if you need to catch a connecting bus or ferry..Version: 5.6.3

No trip-planning optionSeems great for some uses, but I mistakenly assumed there would be a multi-transport trip-planning facility as in public transport apps I’ve used in Melbourne, London and LA. But no: you can’t put in your start point and your end point and then get a route recommendation, taking in eg a bus then a train. Instead you can only search for a bus trip, or a train trip, or a ferry trip. No combinations! The app customer service was very prompt in responding to my problem and offered to arrange a refund - but when I said I’d like to take up the offer then said they couldn’t issue refunds for IOS purchase and that I’d have to go through Apple. All a big waste of time. Be warned!.Version: 5.8.4

Very poor Apple Watch implementationI was at first very excited to see this app worked on Apple Watch because it’s very useful for monitoring my trips. However as soon as i tried to use it I realised the Watch implementation was just tacked on without thought and it made me wonder whether the devs even have a clue about how people use the app. It’s virtually useless for Apple Watch the reason is: Once a time is past you can no longer look at that route. So if you get on service at say 5pm and then want to check the arrival time at stops along the way whilst travelling … believe it or not … you can’t!!!! This is particularly bad when your trip combines multiple services because YOU ARE UNABLE TO CHECK THE ARRIVAL OF YOUR SERVICE AT THE INTERCHANGE OR THE LATEST TIMES OF THE CONNECTING SERVICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a major major FAIL !!!! Ok following the reply from Dev. I would say ok I understand. I don’t agree. But definitely you need to look at the trips that utilise multiple services because not being able to see arrival and departure time at the midway service interchange of the trip you’re on doesn’t seem to satisfy you stated main objectives..Version: 5.9.6
