✓ Horrible Hostage App!!! Waste of Time!!!Don't download this app! Try a different one! Unless you plan on leaving your audio on the device you record it on! Can record for long periods of time (I was at a conference, with multiple sessions) but now that I'm back, I want to move the beautiful sounding audio onto my computer to be able to put onto a USB to share with colleagues. But I cannot because this app is horrible!!!! Doesn't even tell me how big my files are to see if upgrading is worth it. All that time wasted! Shouldn't have downloaded the app in the session. ✓ Good quality but has adsI was definitely impressed with the sound quality of this app. It was just as good as the voice memo app that you find on iPhone. The only problem is that it has advertising. I specifically wanted to use this to read books to my kids, but I know you'll be more distracted by as for games than listening to my voice telling the story. It's understandable that they have added since it's free but I would prefer to pay a little bit did not have ads as they are distraction..Version: 4.6.1

✓ Good memo takerSound pick is great. It is very useful for simple messages though not the right app for note taking or minutes of a lecture. The edit function is not the best. I would love to go back and pick up recording with older files rather than making a new recording. I still have not found a convenient way to upload to my computer and than back to iTunes. It would be very helpful if the recordings could be converted into podcasts. I guess I can not complain to much for a free app. Great, simple app for being free..Version: 3.0.4

✓ Not the best tool.I'm in Grad School and I was using this but it constantly just stops recording for no reason, which is problematic if you're taking notes for hours and you don't notice that it just decided to stop or don't have time to constantly check; so it's unreliable. It does have decent quality if you're looking for something cheap to use temporarily. The ads it has will randomly play audio out loud, which is problematic on it's own. And while it does have the ability to amplify and normalize audio, it usually ends up sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher. I'd recommend something else, but if you're desparate or are willing to work with it, it's not the worst you could do..Version: 4.7.2
✓ Bad appThis is the worst app I've ever use. When I want to send my audio to my laptop, the function of sending through email/Dropbox doesn't work. Then I follow this app's suggestion to buy another app for sending through. However, it doesn't work as well. For now, I just want my money back. ✓ Frustrating waste of timeI used the free version on my iPad and recorded four files. The email file transfer facility did not work so I upgraded to the paid version. This should have allowed me to transfer the files to the new version - it didn't work for two of the files. Asked for help - big waste of time! Told this sometimes happens, I could try transferring to a computer. Had myself and two good techies looking at their instructions. Still have not managed it. It's not an expensive app but given my important files are trapped in the free version it has been expensive to me! Don't go there! ✓ FrustratedAfter recording a VERY important meeting, I then needed to transfer the audio clip on to my computer. In order to do this it said that I needed to upgrade to the FULL version for 59p......OK I thought, that's fine, I don't mind that. So I downloaded the FULL version and there is a guide on how to transfer your memos from the FREE version to the FULL version. One problem! The help/advice whatever you want to call it referred to menu options that simply are not in the FREE version...."Update your FREE version in order to see this option" it says! Done that (I have the latest version) and there is no option to SEND the voice memo from the FREE version to the FULL version! Not a happy customer, please get it sorted asap!.Version: 2.75
✓ Atrocious user experience — can’t transfer memos off of ipadShort version: You can’t transfer audio files larger than 500kb out of the app unless you buy the pro version. There are several problems with the UI. If you try to transfer a memo larger than 500kb... you just can’t. Unless you pay for the pro version, seemingly. But given how terrible the free version is, I’m not going to chance it. If you try to email a memo, you get a message telling you to change your email settings to allow sending a memo larger than 500kb. But there is no such setting. When I tried to send via Messages, the UI just completely fails. Adding a new recipient results in a blank row in the UI and it’s not clear how to proceed from there. It’s just astonishing that it could be so hard to transfer a file. I literally might have to play the recording from my ipad into the mic of a separate device in order to transfer the file. This after a half hour searching the web for solutions — I really tried. Totally ridiculous..Version: 5.0.2

✓ Really good recordingWhat it needs is better playback controls. For meetings you need to be able to jump back a few seconds to find a phrase or word you missed. And ideally forward 30 secs or so when people are rambling! 1.5 or 2 x speed would be good as well. The jump buttons exist in the apple podcast app so should be possible. ✓ App no longer records reliablyDO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION. It stops recording after a short period, but still appears to be recording, so you might not realize that nothing's being recorded. I noticed tonight that every recording I've made today—recordings which should have been over an hour long—were between ten and thirteen seconds long. Thinking there had to be a mistake, I listened to them. All of them had been cut short after less than half a minute. After some testing, I noticed the following: I'd start recording and lock the phone. On unlocking, AudioMemos would still give the appearance of recording—Pause button and volume level indicator are displayed—but the recording length number had frozen after a few seconds. This happened numerous times. The period of time at which it stopped recording varied, but it was almost always under twenty seconds. Yesterday, AudioMemos worked fine. Today, following an automatic update, it doesn't. I lost a lot of things I wanted to record today. This is a serious bug, and, as far as I'm concerned, makes the app unusable.
