Indeed Job Search for Negative User Reviews

Great app to look for work but not perfect. Overall ok.So it’s a great job searching app and there are so many options for jobs yet….it doesn’t work all the time for just anyone especially if your someone that’s looking for a job immediately most of the jobs postings either don’t respond back at all or they keep declining you even though their in an urgent need of a hire. Honestly it’s not even the app I’d say it’s the job posters. Post a job either decline or never respond I get it there’s a lot of people that apply but still if they never ever respond that’s pretty annoying. I’m not complaining I’m being honest and stating an honest truth. It’s really frustrating trying to find a job in life in general. I really really dislike the fact that there are so many job options yet these employees always reject you no matter what even if your qualified for the job. Why are they putting “urgently hiring” yet they aren’t hiring or picking people. So unprofessional of them..Version: 178.0

Poorly doneIndeed’s search algorithm, adopted to an extent from Google, does well for those casting a wide net and having little discretion. It does reasonably well for casual jobs which do not require much accuracy in the search. But for those more specialised, this app is worthless— and where users are driven to the more reputable Seek (in Australia) and LinkedIn (which gives significantly better ROI for tech and PhD roles). Side-by-side testing and recent industry polls suggest you have higher chances through other portals. Indeed is ancillary. Doesn’t harm to have it, but doesn’t much help..Version: 172.0

Great app but...This is a great app for finding a job, I have used it many times. However two things I think need fixing- 1. When I type in the location it brings up loads of other locations like for example Wakefield, Leeds. It would be better if when you put in a specific location it brings up just jobs in that town, for instance Barnsley because otherwise what’s the point really. 2. I have an account and I have added my CV and everything, I’ve been using this app for a while and when employers receive my CV/application on indeed itself they don’t receive the CV properly it is either missing parts and doesn’t make any sense or looks unfinished..Version: 27.0

I didn’t find a jobLa majorité des recruteurs ne me répondent pas. Pourtant je postule uniquement pour les métiers que je sais faire.Version: 41.0

Used to be good but the latest update has ruined itEasy to search jobs and it remembers many of the recent searches I’ve done so they are easy to get to the same results again. However, in the latest update it is no longer possible to edit my cv. There is a button for it but it just takes me to an un-editable version of my cv. I can only upload a completely new one if I want to change anything but that means going through all the sections and correcting bits where the information hasn’t always gone into the right sections. Shame, as the browser acts in the same way on a tablet. The site only seems to work okay on a proper computer or laptop now..Version: 9.5

The update made the app suckMade the mistake of updating the app. There’s more problems now than before. The app was good, now it’s too much hassle to search outside of where you live rendering it useless for those performing a broader search..Version: 25.0

Pointless search parameters.Usability needs to be improved. The search parameters for instance; what’s the point of inputting the search parameters (e.g. distance) when you then populate the search results with job ads well outside of them. Very frustrating..Version: 101.0

EfficiencyI’ve been applying for jobs with the required experience, work permit and education. I haven’t got responses to the suitable jobs that I apply for.Version: 40.0

Turning to a mosh pitThe app is really good but I’ve noticed “sponsored jobs” aren’t worth applying for, if you look at one category long enough it’s the only jobs that show up. And now I get bogus emails from individuals asking if I’m looking for love. this has happened on more than one occasion and there’s no way I can block or report these individuals all I can do is delete the message. Now I’m getting messages from people trying to sell me penis enlargement tablets. It’s a joke! this app is half decent however you need to let job seekers have more reign. At least have a complaint section that we can email bogus jobs or even something that allows us to let you know that there’s stupid individuals using your site..Version: 10.2

Waste of timeReally a useless application. i haven’t received any job offers since last 2 years of applying in indeed. An utter waste of time..Version: 183.0

Critical FeedbackThe filters available on Indeed have been pretty much useless to me. I put in the filter that I’m looking for a part time job, with only up to a high school degree required, and I’m getting a much higher percentage of full time jobs that require Bachelor’s degrees. I don’t even have listed in my profile that I have a bachelor’s, and yet these are the majority of the jobs showing in my list despite the filters I have in addition to my profile settings. This is taking me so much time to go through the jobs that I actually qualify for since some companies don’t actually put the requirements correctly and you don’t see them till you find them written somewhere in their long descriptions. But even for the companies that are correctly listing their requirements, indeed is still showing these way more over the ones I’ve actually inputted that I’m looking for..Version: 187.0

Good but...Keeps recommending jobs that I have NO experience in. I’m a logistics professional. Keep getting matched up with jobs like Head of Neurosciences or Dean of Astrophysics. Getting rather annoying really. They really need to take a look at their matching algorithms....Version: 11.2

Poor AppUsing mobile phone. You used to get up to 50 pages of jobs search results. Now it just gives you approx 22. If you are searching larger radius say 10 miles 22 pages may only cover 1 day worth of results. Please revert back to 50 page job results when doing a search. Also if you are rejected from a job, I want the option to delete the job from my jobs. I’ve asked for this feature to return months ago. Still hasn’t happened. If you apply to lots of jobs and you can’t delete old job applications or rejected jobs it’s harder to find applications, more time consuming. Also remove the jobs feed. You do a search, apply for a job then the search results go and defaults to the jobs feed which is irrelevant and does not match my search criteria. It gets in the way. The version you had early last year which has been around a while was user friendly and great. This version is poor and is more hassle.Version: 87.0

Can’t use the app without signing inAnd if your sign in quits working, good luck ever getting help. After over a year trying to get help, multiple emails, nothing. I couldn’t even get them to delete my information. I now use another app and my info is still on there after repeated emails to delete..Version: 124.0

Bad reviewI have been using the app for over a year now and haven’t been offered any or news from applications I have filled, just keeping me waiting and wasting my time. The CV layout, I personally believe, is quite unprofessional. A Word Document would be an easier place to access all the information needed. For example, Indeed has removed my Main Achievements on my CV, this in fact could lower the likelihood of being accepted. There’s also the issue with typing a job in a particular area and it giving jobs further away, this isn’t helpful for a college student, who’s only form of transport are the buses. This review is based only on my experience on Indeed..Version: 60.0

Improvement neededThe app is functional but the Indeed service is woefully out of whack, job suggestions are so unbelievably random and inappropriate. Half of the recommended jobs are on the other side of the country, cleaning jobs, traineeships, food service, I’ve got a management diploma for gods sake! Search is off and still presents jobs over 200kms away, developers need to fix the search function and algorithms that lead to stupid job suggestions. Even Seek is better than this..Version: 40.0

Identity TheftIndeed allows anyone to create and post jobs. I unfortunately applied for what I thought was a legitimate job due to the fact that I was able to have the name, number and email that I was initially contacted from traced back to the company and I was talking to real employees from the company. I’m not sure if the company’s profiles and databases were hacked into first or what, but somehow, after my 2nd interview, I was told by indeed that the company no longer existed and to stop all contact with said company. I then get several alerts from my credit monitors which led to an immediate investigation. Turns out, my identity was stolen and the thieves tried opening credit cards and applying for business loans and several unemployment claims with my information in several different states! Months later, I was informed by indeed that this was a “fake job”. Ever since then, I’ve been very skeptical about applying for jobs on any job boards because indeed showed me that there really is no protection for job seekers. You’re really just taking a chance and hoping that it’s legit. BE CAREFUL!!!.Version: 159.0

App has many bugsUsing app on iPad,when I view a job there are no navigation button to leave that job page. When eventually the navigation buttons appear (usually by following random links until something happens) it shifts the whole page up (cutting off the job title)..Version: 11.2

Application is crapApplied to over 80 jobs and only had a few actually look at my application. No call tho. Employers aren’t active on this site. Best to apply in person.Version: 37.0

Very usefulOk so I applied for a job but I didn’t get the notification that they messaged me until I went back on the app like almost a month later, I’ve checked recently during the time of the message and it didn’t show that I got the message.Version: 183.0

It’s good! But I think it could be better!Indeed is my go to app to job hunt. And I’ve had to do a LOT of job hunting! My circumstances recently changed from being able to work full time out of the house to part time in the house. What I find complicated with the app is that even if I use the filters to narrow down my job search, it doesn’t really seem to help. I want to look for ONLY part time jobs, which I specified in the filter options. However, the majority of the jobs presented to me are still full time jobs that just won’t work for my schedule. It makes sifting through everything a huge headache and honestly, pretty discouraging. I’m not sure why the filters aren’t working properly (I double checked to make sure I had chosen the right options and that those options were highlighted as being used), but if they would, the app experience would be great and a lot more user friendly. I also think it would be great to be able to specify jobs you DON’T want to see. I’m open to data entry and transcription jobs, but NOT customer service. As of now, you can only look at ALL job listings, or ONE type of job listing. It’s pretty limiting. All in all, Indeed has helped me a lot to find great jobs, but I’ve found it more difficult to use as my circumstances have changed..Version: 148.0

Tedious and time consuming but it worksThe search function doesn’t really populate relavent results. It can’t tell the difference between physics like astronomy and physician jobs like a nurse. It also constantly populates irrelevant jobs based on my past experience at a hotel. So I search astronomy observatories and it pulls up housekeeping and healthcare jobs. This means a lot of wasted time sifting through the results . Additionally, you can only have one version of your resume so it’s really for people with a straightforward job type. If you want to change your objective or fix a spelling/format error, you have to redo the entire “indeed” resume too. Very time-sucky, especially considering most places use external systems and it starts again. Lastly, there is no option to search multiple countries so even more extra time needed there. The good things are that the interface is straightforward, it’s not glitchy and employers seem to use it so there are jobs if you can find them..Version: 82.0

WebsitesDiscontinue the feature that allows employers to use popup websites.Version: 37.0

App is ok but too many fake jobs&scamsIndeed doesn’t do a good enough job of weeding out the numerous fake jobs, scams and spam. When my phone #, full name and real email was on it I would get fake job and Nigerian origin job scams. Advise to remove number, use a burner email address for indeed, and just use initials for a name. A real legit employer will understand..Version: 11.4

This app is a joke.I have continued to use Indeed for several years in hopes a legitimate job posting would come my way, well that is my fault. Indeed is filled with nothing but scams and fraudulent job opportunities. I receive many “offers” through the messaging system Indeed offers and they are all fake. I’m so used to getting these phony messages that I don’t even bother with them anymore. Indeed has a place on the emailed version of the message to let them know that you suspect fraud but it doesn’t do any good. Also, the filters Indeed offer do not even work. I search for administrative assistant positions in my area and get sales job postings and other random posts that do not apply to my search. Oh, and I keep getting questions from Indeed to update my resume by answering simple questions that pertain to nothing about my experience and such. This app/site is horrible! I do not and would not ever recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for a job, I would go straight to the company’s website where you’d like to work. Do NOT waste your time on here!.Version: 56.0

UselessWorst app I’ve ever used!!!! Adds extra stress to an already stressful situation. Wouldn’t let me upload anything and keeps taking you to additional steps you don’t need. Won’t let you delete anything or start again, once the information is in your stuck with it and that’s if you can even get that far..Version: 14.0

Messages not showing upI’ll see a notification that someone has sent a message then the message won’t show up. Kind of hard to get a job if I can’t reply to messages from potential employers!.Version: 35.1

Disgraceful appI’ve used this app for years and nothing but problems. Being invited for interviews and it just disappeared and the messages go with it as well. Nothings being done to fix their errors or make any effort to improve app. Rather disgraceful they are doing this to people actively trying for employment, not to mention the amount of funding they get, where does it exactly go?.Version: 183.0

Such a shameI hate the fact that most employers use this app. The filters don’t help at all. And most job posting that I find are the same. Nothing is ever new on indeed. Also I have had an indeed account for 4 years and I’m still unemployed!!! Now it’s even harder to find a job because I have a ridiculous gap in my very limited experience. I am a student and I have no scholarships and bills to pay!! I am so frustrated at this point. Also I have very little experience working in the first place, why does indeed keep suggesting that I apply to be a teacher or a lawyer? All I am looking for is a simple part time job in fast food or as a receptionist or something similar. I am tired of all these positions for nurses and doctors and psychologists. According to my indeed resume, I don’t have a degree yet nor do I qualify for any of those positions. Why is it so hard to find the types of jobs I need? Also the ones that do show up, have so many other applicants that I will never be noticed in the first place. Don’t get this app it’s not worth the time or energy. Also if you use indeed right now, just use another job website instead or you will end up like me. Severely in debt and no way out..Version: 42.0

Teething problemsI’ve been a user of this app many times before without issues. But I digress. As of late this app has been letting me down, nothing drastic but the app lets me apply for one job, then once I go to apply for another one I am greeted with a ‘application complete’ pop up from the first job I applied for and my screen is greyed out and that’s it. The app will not function and I have to close the app and start again only for the problem to repeat exactly the same. Other than that I’ve never had an issue. Hopefully this will be fixed soon..Version: 9.0

Doesn’t workApp no longer works. Home Screen shows postings for half a second, then screen glitches and goes blank..Version: 186.0

BEWARE OF SCAMMERS !!!!Indeed is not a good place to look for a job ! It’s nothing but scammers and 3rd party companies pretending to be that company !! I was very in need of a job applied for “Realtor Assistant” and about to have a baby. Got over excited for a “great opportunity and work schedule” ended up being scammed now I’m going through a whole fraud thing with my bank and trying to protect my name and my information. They are so good at sounding like legit jobs. Getting you to do “TASK/TRAINING” at home due to the virus. They email you all information and job description you go through the process fill out the “job application” They do telemarketing interview than phone interview they sound very professional about it. The final “interview” once you pass “background check” they ask how would you like to receive your pay check and I’ve always done direct deposit with no problem and will send in my direct deposit form. The address they send for “their company” come out to legit address the website they have pops up and everything, At the end turns out the be a dam SCAM !!! And now they have your bank, Driver License, Address all your information and don’t even respond back to you !!.Version: 53.0

Rubbish to use. Welcome to 2001.A great app to remind us how far we’ve come in apps. If you want to experience what it was like to use a phone in 2001, then this app is perfect. The job search function is incredibly limited and basic. The preferences are almost impossible to adjust as there’s no accept/ok button. It is slow, clunky and difficult to use. Often crashes when scrolling or opens jobs you don’t want to open. Seek is 150x better..Version: 14.2

MidI’m just confused… the most important part of the entire job process, being able to communicate with the employer, is extremely limited on here. Not because there isn’t an option to message, simply because the chances it will lag, glitch, fail to send or even send the same message 10+ times without ur knowledge is extremely high. Apart from that the app is good but it’s unlikely you’ll end up getting a job on here since companies rarely get back to you even if you have a degree. I’ve applied for 50+ jobs must say i’ve only heard back from about 5 over the span of a few months, bit of a time waster but it’s good if you want to know where is taking on in ur area so you can walk in. 👍.Version: 178.0

Doesn't workUse the website instead..Version: 3.2

Decent app*Updated 3/2/18* Since the latest update, this app is horrible!!! The format is harder to read and I only seem to be getting jobs from certain categories not all the jobs. I generally work in two areas: HR and accounting. The jobs I’m mainly seeing are for customer service. I’ve checked my filters numerous times and it doesn’t specify the job type anywhere so I don’t know how to fix it. App constantly says there was an error connecting. Used to use this app all the time.....now it’s just frustrating. Started out great.....seems like nothing but problems since the last update. Generally it will say (for example) 64 new jobs in my area....when I click on the link to scroll through the new jobs it suddenly changes to (for example) 23 new jobs and then when I go to the next page it says 58 new jobs. Very frustrating!!!! Also I've noticed a huge increase in the number of "sponsored" job postings. These are highly annoying as most are well over 30 days old......Version: 7.1

App needs fixingThe whole idea behind this app and what jobs you can find are perfect I can’t complain about that. However, the reason I’ve given it a low rating is because of the Indeed CV part of the app. I didn’t use this app for sometime as I stated a new job and didn’t have need to but recently I started using it again. I’ve tried updating my Indeed CV, more specifically the work experience section of the CV as I have now had a different job. I spent lots of time editing the CV and writing up a description of my new work experience but when I had finished and replaced the CV it asked me to review it. At this point absolutely nothing that I had added had updated and it was asking me to fill it in again. This happened multiple times in a row until I’ve now gotten to the point where it’s too frustrating to even attempt again. All I want to do is apply for a few jobs with my up to day CV and I can’t because it won’t update. I am seriously very very disappointed in this because otherwise it would be a pretty much perfect app for its intentions..Version: 79.0

Not as good as the onlineThe app runs slower than online. It takes forever to load up & freezes constantly Update: I’ve deleted this app for several reasons. 1. Doesn’t respond half the time to the point, I have to shut & scroll out of app & restart 2. No option to report advertisers. Some suspect advertised jobs offering £9.50 in Australia??! 3. Indeed keep reminding me that 143 new jobs or 45 new jobs have arrived YET they are the same positions over & over 4. Half of the advertised jobs lead you to another website before you can apply 5. Applying for multiple jobs & absolutely no responses from either indeed or the advertisers. 6. Will be using seek which is where Most of the ads go anyway.Version: 9.4

Could be betterI have major privacy concerns with this app. Despite having done my part in app to secure whatever information I can- I still get texts messages from illegitimate “employers” with “job offers”. NO LEGITIMATE employers are going send you texts like “We saw your resume on Indeed blah blah blah click this link to apply” Clicking that link is a good way to forfeit sensitive information from your mobile device. My information via résumé should only be visible to the jobs that I’m applying to! PERIOD. Despite trying to put as much on private as I can through your app, I still get these text. Which has lead me to believe that it’s likely very easy for illegitimate individuals to create employer accounts. No legitimate employer is going to be so informal! That’s a RED FLAG! The other thing you guys should be aware of any job listing that is “commission only” or “appointment-based only”? Those are NOT in any way shape or form legitimate employers. What they are is scams. If a listing doesn’t offer an hourly wage? IT’s a SCAM. That is just an opportunist looking to make money off of the people in a bind. Who are unsuspecting & none the wiser. Filter those out of your listings IMMEDIATELY! I hope you take the information I have given you & IMPROVE the user experience. DO BETTER!.Version: 161.0

Hard to find any work on hereI’ve sent out lots of applications on here and I’ve gotten no response.Version: 186.0

So buggyAfter waiting out the 48hr period my resume still never appeared in resume searches and I failed to be noticed in any searches at all. I couldn’t even find my own resume with search parameters suited to me. Also trying to log in with safari repeatedly gave me a “denied access” “content forbidden” error. Very slow app. Only use desktop version..Version: 16.2

App stop working for iPad after updateThe app stop working after a recent update. It's not loading at all. Try to find any contact details for the developers but no luck at all that's why I am using the app review service in the hope if the developers read it and fix it. It would be helpful if they have a contact number / email address to contact them which is not the case.i am using iPad 2 and after recent update I am unable load the app I even delete it and re download it but no luck 😭 Note for developer the 7th October update didn't sort out the problem as the app still not loading and crashing please sort it out.Version: 10.4

!!!Scammers!!!Use app with caution, lots of fake employers out there looking to scam you. Don’t ignore red flags people..Version: 46.0

Improve Your Company Review ServiceIt’s an online job site, so it has lots of incredible opportunities available but they also don’t investigate companies that have lied on multiple ads. There are no options for reporting companies, except the company review section. Indeed have clear guidelines about what you can put in these reviews, and I followed them to the letter. However they’ve rejected multiple reviews in the past, and given no reason for it. I’m not posting defamatory content or anything impolite but they’re always the least positive ones. They also don’t give you an option to disagree with their decision. If you’re controlling information for the benefit of employers only, you’re not a good job site for prospective employees. I’d always recommend local council sites and googling specific careers in your area..Version: 129.0

Scam companiesMy husband received a job offer that looked beyond legit. It was a work from home. It took us the first payment to realize it was an scam and that “company” even used his account to commit droid to others. So I would barely recommend indeed because the don’t take the time to see if the company is legit or not..Version: 120.0

YikesNo employers ever answer and you can only submit like 6 resumes a day.Version: 33.0

Currently very average. It’s a great little app on the whole. Easy to search, easy to navigate around and remembers your search preferences which is helpful. However, recently there have been frequent episodes of their network being unavailable or the app opening to a black screen only resulting in needing to restart phone to get it to work. Suggestion - 1. Slightly better format for the CV as it seems very basic and provides no facility to attach a cover letter which many employers request. 2. More helpful to have message notification at top of screen as can be missed at bottom of screen if only logging in to mostly look at job search..Version: 6.3

Fake!!! Waste of timeI have been using this app for the past 6 months and haven’t even gotten a single interview or job offer. I feel like it’s a scam all together..Version: 185.0

ApplyingApplied over 800 jobs only thing just get random emails with stats and has not helped with anything but just postings . Definitely do not recommend.Version: 35.1

Needs updatedI like the ease of applying for jobs but there are a few frustrations. When I remove a job, it’s appears again the next time I go on, it’s also really slow as removing the job since the last update too. It tells you how many new jobs there are in your recent searches and when you remove loads of them, the number of “new” jobs hardly decreases. I also get far too many that are not relevant or nowhere near the location I’ve requested. As someone that is very active on the app just now, I just want to see the jobs that have been posted since the last time I was on it and that doesn’t happen. The last update also moved the recent searches tab which is annoying as that’s the part I want to see when I open the app, not what jobs indeed have selected for me..Version: 99.0

Average appStruggles put the saved jobs into the saved folder/section sometimes. Next time I go to app sometimes no jobs in saved section! Improvements there needed. Goes way outside of the search guidelines I command only to find some relevant jobs way down the list of a lot of irrelevant jobs..Version: 17.0

Hidden Jobs Don’t Stay HiddenThe App is good when it works which is rarely. When you’ve hit the “job remove” button to remove them from the list of jobs, the next time you go into the App the jobs have all reappeared. This is really annoying as you have to scroll through hundreds of jobs you’ve already “removed” just to find any newly posted jobs. This is still an issue despite 3 or 4 updates. Uninstalling and reinstalling do not solve this issue and when you contact support telling them the issue and what you have done to try to fix it they just tell you to uninstall and reinstall. Have they not read what you’ve written? Their support is non-existent. In a world where job hunting is especially difficult at the moment, not having a decent, properly working job App is really frustrating..Version: 95.0

App has gone downhill - just like the job market! This used to be a great app years ago, however now it's absolutely dire! Companies keep reposting the same job openings for months while rejecting everyone who applies, (in the hundreds). It sure can't be everyone is unfit for the job, so what's the reason behind these fake job postings…? I think one reason is companies often want to promote, or place an internal candidate for the role. They want to cover for potential discrimination laws, that could be invoked they put up a job posting and pretend like they are also looking for external candidates. The main reasons why agencies are looking to find CVs (résumés): Is to to build their database, assess the market, harvest C.Vs, tick HR boxes, grow a mailing list, copy your CV and to potentially scam you out of money, (for example fake DBS checks etc). I also wanted to mention that the app glitches and crashes all the time! Which is super frustrating when I’m halfway through a job application!!.Version: 195.0

This app has never helped me find a jobI don’t know why I always try to find jobs on this app. It has never once earned me an interview in the 6 years that I’ve known about it. On top of that, it sends invasive messages about my application being rejected. Like why would I want to know that I’m rejected. Just let me move on without taking a shot at my sense of worth, thanks..Version: 185.0

Not easyI have just downloaded the app and it has immediately loaded as a foreign language. It is too difficult to figure out how to change to English translation. Not happy that I’ve wasted data to download an app that for me is currently unusable..Version: 143.0

Kept asking for reviewI don’t mind the app, however when it kept popping up to write a review at every screen change it was driving me insane. Is the pestering part necessary to the app review? Your needs are not my needs and interference with app use is bizarre. When the option ‘not now’ is selected, it doesn’t just mean not until I click something..Version: 10.1

Needs improvementIndeed has a lot of job sources however I've been using indeed for quite a time now since my unemployment which is now going on 3 months . I've had difficult experiences that I find to be unprofessional at 2 businesses. I applied for paratransit CCT connect in Frankford area or Philadelphia and the application of course went through got offered a position however after going through paper work and 3 days of training then the job tells me I'm not old enough after signing over my signature and giving them info such as my social and i.d . And Which I found to be unorganized and a waste of time And i recently had an interview with Ace check cashing in West Philadelphia and I got offered a full time position in which they never called me back for training and when I reached out I never got a answer or response which is very unprofessional, a waste of time and money .and of course this is after papers for employment were signed . Indeed needs to open the site to business who actually wants to hire people not waste their time ..Version: 7.3

CV/Resume format NEEDS ReworkingThe job search portion of the app is great, it recommends jobs based on ones previously looked at, many employers upload so there is a wide range of jobs to choose from, allows you to save jobs that you want to apply for at a later time, shows if the employer is active or not, and provides a direct avenue to application. However I simply cannot recommend this app due to its horrible CV function. It forces any uploaded CV into the app’s own formatting and usually deletes much of it in the process or puts it into the wrong section, it also does not allow listing of grades achieved in subjects. Uploading a CV from Word? Don’t bother. The app will jumble it around so much that it would be faster to create one in the app..Version: 11.2

GarbageIt doesn’t help to find any jobs, people don’t even look at your resume for more than two seconds! Garbage.Version: 131.0

.Generally a great app. But the search function can be a bit off at times. EG looking for forestry jobs and in slips nursery nurse jobs....Version: 3.8

A long job searchWhen you are looking for a job sometimes it’s an emergency, indeed is a great app with considerable job options but for someone in a difficult situation is very tedious. Indeed gives the employer the chance to make their possible employees take a test so if they pass they can be on the considerable list. The thing I find wrong with this is that these tests are not only repetitive but most employees require them so they can view your application and have you in mind. I’ll find myself answering the same dull questions for each one of the applications I send and at some point, it becomes a very weary experience. Taking test every 2 minutes for different jobs, same questions all over again. Is not only time consuming but is also a negative experience for some people who may suffer from some type of learning disabilities, the answers should be saved in a system so you don’t have to take the same test 4 times for similar jobs, it would save everyone some time and energy. Looking for the right job is already hard. Why make it harder?.Version: 109.0

Could improve but over all not to badEasy to import resume and has auto fill for your in app resume, down side is I can’t set a filter for salary package like other job search platforms provide..Version: 9.0

Painfully DisappointingI have been applying for work for several months, I have only had one employer contact me. Do people even find jobs on this app anymore? There’s no feed back to know why your being rejected and half the time they throw out your application without even looking. Thanks for nothing, I suppose we all just want to be unemployed bums who wait can’t mooch off the system because even the most basic jobs won’t call for interviews. Seriously, how do people find jobs anymore? You want us to contribute and yet these applications to help us find jobs are failing us.... For how many jobs are posted how does it constantly result in nothing? D: Also, The Assessments glitch out and don’t let you retake—but even then does it matter you have no idea how you’ve scored, no chance to practice to know the types of questions and I’m beginning to doubt employers even look at resumes anymore. These are a lazy excuse to weed out people who might actually be good for your company....Version: 58.0

Big Scam AppThis app is a big scam. This app has so call “Employers” making it seem like they are going to get an interview and a job through another scam app name “Wire Messenger”. They really have people that would text you after applying for a job stating “ my name is “….” “and I’m the hiring manager for “….”” “and I invite you to an interview on a app you have to download called “ Wire Messenger “”. Just to take you through a WHOLE process that is a waste of time and to gather your bank information to rob you. What Indeed needs to do is inform people that this app is not what it use to be. Anyone that has this app and is looking for an honest job, be careful and pay attention to what and how the emails and text message is delivered to you. Indeed, I’m disappointed in this company because majority of the jobs I was hired to, was before the plandemic. Its like the “pandemic” was a easy way to target folks that are in need of work. I just know indeed company is part of the scams. It’s just too many of the same scam messages. I know for a fact, if an employer from indeed needs to contact you for a interview, why do I have to download a app where I don’t know or see who I’m talking to. So just a reminder everyone that has this app and want an honest job PLEASE READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY. IF SOMETHING IS OFF TO YOU, LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!.Version: 126.0

Jobs being advertised while no applications are acceptedThe app advertises the jobs where the companies do not accept any job applications right after their announcement in this app. The interested candidates are being made to answer the questions which waste the time as the applications are not being accepted..Version: 189.0

90% of listing do not show a pay rateThats the only reason for the low rate- fix this and i will return to update please! So the site is awesome and i have found jobs on indeed. With that being said it’s seriously such a problem even getting an actual figure of what to expect the pay to be with out being told to fill out an application first. The majority of us all know what we are looking for in an hr/ wage and salary- making the employer post their wage range or price would be essentially especially since all applications require more then 1hr to fill out and that time adds up quickly with 3-6 applications. Not only would it save the applicants time but so would it be for the recruiter- and yes we know why employers do not post an actual figure because they are hoping to hire employees under budget. Indeed came off as being more concerned for the applicants rather then the hiring managers when it first came on the seen and i truly hope it models its self as such. We dont have enough entities for the little guy and something so minor as seeing expected pay prior to applying makes it more of a applicants market and in applicants favor..Version: 91.0

Good but needs updatingGood app for JobSearch with the ability to easily apply from phone or tablet however, recent updates make it hard and glitchy to filter jobs into new listings and you get jobs nearly a month old coming up regularly. Ability to store resumes is good & the notifications are helpful but really needs updating with a better way to filter which was on previous versions..Version: 11

Blocked From Reviewing Waitrose As An Employer? How many people have been blocked from having your reviews appear on the indeed app or website? Is it now several days since I wrote TWO accurate and truthful reviews about my time working for Waitrose and they both have been blocked by Indeed. I have spoken to 3 further people I know who say the same happened to then either in the past or recently and I wonder if Indeed are blocking reviews from companies they receive incentives or revenue from for favorable inaccurate reviews and preferential fake advertising as an outstanding company to work for - when in fact the opposite is true for some of us who were once called ‘partners’ LOL I wrote to Indeed by email to ask why my truthful and accurate review was not posted up and received ZERO response......not impressed I’m afraid!! Also as the number of fake roles advertised by ‘agencies’ who are simply stealing prospective employees personal data and then selling it in is off the chart......do something please someone, whatever happened to GDPR rules being enforced?.Version: 17.0

The app appears to have developed a bug recentlyWhen applying for jobs, a message appears stating “submitting your application” with a spinning circle underneath. This used to disappear after a few seconds followed by a success message. However, the “submitting” message and circle remain on screen until I click on the “done” link at the top right of the screen. I believe I have applied for some jobs multiple times as I hadn’t realised my application had been submitted successfully until afterwards..Version: 191.0

Good app to useFind this to be a good app to use but could do with some improvements. Find that I don’t get many job opportunities on it. Employers don’t accept users much for interviews - to have jobs even as a trial - Work experience. Would like to be able to chat with employers Live, be able to view maps of where the job locations are, would be fantastic if I could define the search even more for things such as salary and what type of jobs - should be offered more suggestions, should be able to report job vacancy’s if they don’t state much information or don’t make any sense so the ad can be taken down..Version: 7.0

UnreliableI’ve been using Indeed for several years, both as a job seeker and as a hiring manager. The service itself has been decent; the amount of legitimate jobs is much higher than several other employment services. However, the user interface is incredibly unfriendly and unreliable. The search filters don’t actually filter anything. When I try to filter jobs so that only full-time ones show up, several part-time jobs still appear. When I try to sort jobs by date posted, the jobs on each results page are randomly listed (e.g. first is 20 hours ago, then 8 hours, then 2 days, then 20 hours, then 30+ days, 10 days, 3 hours, and so on). The job market in my area is intensely competitive and fast-paced; you need to be one of the first 2-3 applicants in order to even be considered. Not only is it annoying to have to manually sort through postings after I’ve applied filters, it’s also a great disservice to me as a job seeker. I’ve missed several opportunities as a result of this faulty sorting. It’s actually quite simple to make a query system that accurately sorts by date and time posted. Why Indeed hasn’t implemented such a system is beyond me..Version: 18.0

Far too many jobs for other citiesThere are far too many jobs coming up for Norwich when I have stated Great Yarmouth. Norwich is NOT Great Yarmouth. Also this APP keeps freezing and won’t open jobs 5 times alone today it has frozen on me. This APP needs improvement big time. Not only for the APP to stop freezing but also to show more relevant jobs. Jobs still freezing, won’t open listed jobs. Jobs still showing as open when I know they have closed. This site is getting worse, by the day. The new two step authentication is a complete nightmare. I am signed out every hour then it can take up to 6 attempts to sign back in. I now give up after 2 attempts. If I don’t get signed back in I go to another job site and look for jobs. Indeed is not the only site in fact indeed is getting worse by the day. Why it automatically signs me out every hour is beyond me absolutely pathetic. Indeed needs to improve dramatically before I will ever put trust in this one app. They are rapidly declining in popularity now. They got too big for their boots and now provide a completely useless service. Half the jobs are not true, the other half have either all ready closed or Indeed doesn’t send through the application. Absolutely a horrible job site now. On Trust Pilot there are now 1000s if companies that refuse to use them..Version: 147.0

GarbageThey lie. I’ve applied to 500+ places with nothing..Version: 33.0

Resume builder and application bugsIndeed has connected me with many employers, and offers great capabilities for building a resume that directly relates to relevant qualifications. However, these are also two areas where I have experienced the software malfunctioning for the past few months, unfixed by updates. 1: using the mobile app to submit an application for a company on their site will open a tab on the company’s page through indeed, where the applicant can fill out information and submit an application. However, the app consistently continues to reopen multiple new tabs of the company’s website while you fill out information, often hindering or restarting your progress. 2: there is a section of the resume that fails to update onto the final version available for download or sharing. All other sections of the resume work well, update information and it is immediately available on the final version of the resume. However, the section for commendations under military service is buggy; it is either blank, or it displays old information that cannot be updated. If you leave the section blank than it displays blank in the final resume. But if you type anything at all, it will revert me to bullets that were listed a year ago, that cannot be changed. This persists through both the app and the website..Version: 179.0

Removing my resumeWhenever I go to edit my resume and I go to download it. They remove most of the information to make my resume incomplete and unsuitable for submission if I was to use it for job applications. This happens on my mobile and idk if it’s my mobile’s fault or something wrong with the app or web browser and my thumbs hurt a lot. Please interact..Version: 82.0

Worst app ever!Wow there must be a lot of embarrassed people working at Indeed. This app was written by 9 year olds and the worst thing is Indeed management think it’s awesome. App never works. Don’t download. Find another job hunting service provider for your area..Version: 139.0

I want to give it two and a halfThe app is ok with showing jobs in the areas you select, but the daily messages about jobs that are supposedly “perfect for you based on your resume!” Is a complete joke. My resume lists my experience in the medical field and it keeps sending me emails to apply to security guard jobs or jobs as an assistant manager in sales or it suggests jobs that require things and experience I don’t have, but I’m still perfect for it according to them. It makes no sense and it’s very frustrating. Top that off with it telling me that I don’t have a resume uploaded when I clearly do, I use it every time I apply for a job and the fact that some employers I have interviewed with don’t get the full copy of my resume sent to them even though when I review it before it’s sent it’s all there makes this app disappointing. So many bugs to fix in it maybe one day it will correct itself, but for now I’d you know of better apps use them this should be a last resort..Version: 35.1

Bad AppIs not working There is a problem that when you log in and try to apply it shows like you need to log in and does not recognise the password Make it easy FOR NORMAL PEOPLE I found a job to apply and its been 2 hours changing password even in safari does not work.Version: 125.0

Needs improvementNot a bad app but needs improvements such as stop showing me jobs outside what I search for it’s really irritating when I see a job and think that’s perfect only to notice it’s located in WA or QLD when I’m in NSW! Also regularly when i go into app it’s says network unavailable so have to swipe the app off my screen and reopen again ! It will also show a job that I’m interested in then I go back into app later to look more into it only I can no longer see the job but then it will reappear again later ! Please fix these bugs.Version: 7.2

Needs basic changes ASAP!Overall the apps interface is very clean and simple to use/navigate through, but I feel like it hasn't evolved in over a year and is actually going backwards. Most importantly, there is no feature to allow you to delete old inbox messages from previous jobs you applied for. This is unacceptable for many reasons, for one it's a basic feature to be able to delete and clear old message/inbox clutter, but more importantly most of the old messages are either rejections, erroneous old interview scheduling, or just random 'thank you for applying'-type messages. No job seeker should be subject to having to be reminded about rejections every time they open their inbox. They need to add this feature IMMEDIATELY on the app. What's even more disappointing is while this wasn't an app feature, you DID have the option to delete messages when using a PC or Laptop, but this was actually just taken away inexcusably in July!! So now there is literally no option to delete old, irrelevant messages. I suggest they change this quick or there are going to be a ton of people including myself just given my business to another job board. And I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, if you just Google "how do you delete old messages on Indeed" there are several disgruntled users who are baffled this basic yet necessary feature doesn't exist. Please fix the ASAP..Version: 10.6

These reviews are liesI have filed out thousands of applications through indeed over the last few years. Many of which were for positions I’m overqualified for. This entire app is garbage for all parties. This has to be the worst way to fill a position for both job seekers and employers. Companies are forced to resort to a dating app level of rejection while this company charges them 200$ a day for a job posting. If you’re looking for a job and apply through indeed and have updated your resume more than once rest assured that indeed will send your old resume file or a improperly formatted file full of nonsensical garbage to the HR team of the position you are applying for so you look like a complete dunce with caveman level computer skills. I can’t believe indeed still exists as a company. They do a terrible job and charge these companies ridiculous amounts for a task a zombie could do. If you found a career through Indeed I implore you to keep applying elsewhere, there is a significant chance you are being underpaid. I worked at a company that used Indeed for its hiring process. One of my roles was to vet candidates. If a company has to resort to using this clown service they are a bad company I guarantee it..Version: 191.0

Some issues…..Needs lots of work. One of the major issues I have now I the scammer/spammers. It’s so common that I now know the signs. So when I go to withdraw my application indeed has me sign on. Instead of taking me directly to the job listing/posting I instead have to manually scroll down to find it. This isn’t a problem… except for the fact that because they are scammers/spammers what they write in the message does not correlate with any of my job applications. For someone looking for work, that can be up to 20 applications per day. Hopefully they can start getting serious about these post. For the readers; the biggest red flag is when you receive an email requesting for you to verify your phone number and email address. They will not insert your name and may make typos. They do this to spam you and sell your information. Along with sending you emails that contain viruses, spyware and more commonly phishing. Thankfully I’m aware of technology and have been avoidant of this..Version: 139.0

I live in the country, I can’t work in the cityYet your search results keep giving me positions far away from where I work. I cannot search just within my local are, therefor I spend more time having my hopes dashed than I do applying for work.Version: 173.0

Feedback not in app so posting hereThe 'report job' function has disappeared. Some jobs on there are not legitimate. Others have strange links. One for example had an external link for 'job description' which when clicked on appeared to be a long page of coding... And that was a reputable company one would assume. When deleting then reinstalling the app it clears searches after sign in, unsure why those were recently limited to ten only 'saved'. People need to be especially careful of fraudulent phishing identity scans in apps such as these. Bring back the report button..Version: 6.5

I have not stopped receiving harassing phone calls since I sent out applications on indeedI am appreciative of the service indeed performs, and I understand that they probably have to make money to be able to continue, however, I am about to change my number that I have had for ten years bc of you. I am constantly receiving dishonest phone calls telling me they have a job for me or are calling regarding my online job application when they are telemarketers. They aren’t the jobs I applied for and I will get excited and think I got a job and it turns out to be them. There are a lot of them calling now and they change and come from different numbers so blocking does no good. They also make the numbers appear local. I can’t tell you how upsetting it is bc I am aware that they are doing this, but they will make it sound like it’s regarding an application I turned in and it’s actually not. It’s probably one of the worst things you can do to someone who is out of work and trying to find a job. So I do NOT recommend this app unless you are prepared to change your telephone number. Sorry..Version: 11.4

Fix the zooming when typing in search bar.The zooming bug when you go to type something in the search bar is REALLY annoying. I don’t see a point in it, every time i go to open the app and want to search a keyword. It zooms in like 20x! Get rid of it..Version: 96.0

Nothing happeningI try open it but it keeps shutting down.Version: 3.3

Terrible updateNeeds a lot of improvement. It is the worst app out of all the job searching ones. Glitches all the time, with the new update it doesn’t even work! I am unable to use it at all, no matter where I touch I am always on the Home page. Not that it ever worked smoothly, but this time it surely isn’t working at all! Shame as the webpage is decent enough..Version: 10.5

Random Error 520 for more than a month now!!This app hasn’t been working for at least a month now! Like many others it seems …it comes up with random 520 errors (Cloudflare problem with their server connection) basically blocks all use when it comes up and completely locks you out of the app, you can remove the app and reinstall only for it to happen again randomly at any time, makes the app completely unusable. I have to reinstall the app daily if not twice a day and it loses your search history every time! Come on Indeed, I can’t believe you still haven’t fixed this, it’s getting a bit ridiculous now!.Version: 150.0

Looking for a jobIndeed was my go to app when i was unemployed, i had really bad experiences with indeed. First indeed was putting all my information out there, i had received text messages from random people offering me a job, i sent e-mails to customer service, and they pretend that nothing is wrong by replying with another e-mail saying ok since you haven’t reply to us then we will close your case. I had to delete all my info from my resume so i don’t get harassed by random people. Second you deleted all my job search and now i have to start all over!!! Thanks a lot!!! Third they send me questions about my old jobs, how the hell am i gonna know if i don’t work for them anymore??? So stupid and annoying, i will be deleting this app and reporting this app since i was being harassed and my personal info is out there to the public because indeed was not careful enough!.Version: 62.0

Really ugly interface and poor search functionalityHands down the most annoying thing about this app is that there doesn’t seem to be any saved search function available, and it resets the search parameters every single time you reopen the app, meaning that you have to specify your filters every single time. Specifically the “sorted by” function. I have to choose “sorted by date” EVERY TIME I reopen the app, even when clicking on my previous search. Infuriating..Version: 76.0

...Really needs to update more to keep up with other jobs search apps Your search criteria is horrible, always select an area but hardly shows you jobs in your selected area it’s always outside the selected area, doesn’t really show new updates jobs it’s all over the place even when you change to new jobs it shows older jobs I don’t want to see..Version: 7.2

Terrible app even tho it’s number 1Whenever I apply for a job it resets all the jobs back so I have to scroll all the way back down and it is just impossible. Instead I have to save them then apply from there because it takes hours to find the job u where back at otherwise but even then some of them randomly disappear when u save the jobs or by the time you’re done searching and go to apply they have already expired. Also when u press remove jobs that you’re not interested in and spend ages removing them they just reappear back when you’re scrolling so it’s a waste. The same jobs reappear just when scrolling normally as well and I have to keep setting it to exact location instead of 25miles away every single time. It’s actually such a terrible app and website..Version: 92.0

A job seekers frustrationIt feels very impersonal. You put all this work into resumes, cover letters, etc. Meanwhile it’s nothing but silence from employers who are under no obligation to tell you how to improve. Usually you hear nothing and sometimes I wonder whether these jobs even exist.Version: 88.0

A waste of timeDownloaded the app and had it for months, looked for jobs and applied for many and I never heard from any job of the employeers or jobs I applied for, I only got thousands of spam mails. Also I left a review about my old job and indeed didn’t like my review so they wont let me post it. Apparently you have to leave a nice and good review in order to be able to leave reviews. Which is not ok, because not all companies are good places to work. Anyways, Craiglist is waaaay better way to find a job than this site..Version: 126.0

Can’t even find a jobI applied 75 didn’t get any response.Version: 182.0

App Ruined my ResumeI uploaded my Resume to the app and started applying for jobs. Apparently later I found out that the app itself trimmed my resume to its own content without asking me, and all the paragraphs are messed up and bunch of detail is missing making me look like an idiot to the people I applied jobs to. I got no comeback from anyone obviously..Version: 35.1

Remove different emailI have tryed over n over again, once I clicked to apply my resume my friends email I let use my phone is located in blue on my resume I’m summiting. It not there until after I cluck apply how do I remove it.Version: 35.1

WasteDon’t provide jobs waste of time always fill the email box.Version: 36.0

What’s happen with this app?I came from heaven to hell recently. Indeed was before my favourite app far better than caterer. It was before. The new beta update put a mess everywhere. Impossible to follow up your application simply on my phone. From now, when I save an offer, it do not appears anymore in the dedicated place. It’s now also impossible to update and erase the offer in the list “saved” and “applied”. Even if the recruiter do not select you. You have to keep all your applications. It’s now such a mess. This app is not practical at all for the moment. Even if it’s a beta version, in this covid time we need to find access to job not feel used like rat lab. No link to contact them in the app about it. I will certainly give up the app without a good update..Version: 68.0

Indeed is great for job searches, but the app constantly has connection issues.I love browsing Indeed for jobs because it has so many jobs available and is great for looking at international work, but with the app I keep trying to open it and get a connection error 90% of the time..Version: 8.2

Terrible UI problemsThis App barely works, I used to have an account and couldn’t sign into it after trying again so had to use another email to create an account because it said my account was taken even though just prior to that it told me there was no account using my email. When I finally got into the app I found only problems and that it butchered my resume that I uploaded and filled in one company name for EVERY job I have had which I then had to manually fix all the information only to have it do the exact same thing again. I want to use this service but until these issues are fixed with the system, unfortunately I have to rate this 1 Star to try and bring some attention to these issues..Version: 18.0

Better than other apps, but still pretty bad. While my experiences with indeed have been miles better than most other job search apps, there is still A LOT left to be desired. For one, the search function is pretty bad, and the filter functions are terrible. For example, I could filter my search to only include entry level data entry jobs that require a bachelors, and yet half the jobs are for hospital roles that need a masters and a decade of experience. I also wish there was a way to filter out certain industries or companies. A large amount of almost all my search results are direct sales companies and pyramid schemes, under the pretense of “account manager” or “marketing jobs”. The fact that there is no way for me to filter out crappy and unrelated jobs adds way more time to my job search and bloats my search results to the point that it’s almost unusable. With that being said, as bad as it is, these same issues are much worse in many of the other apps (with the exception of handshake, but that’s not available to everyone). Edit: Another issue I forgot to mention is scams. If you put your phone number on indeed be ready to be inundated with countless scam calls. I’m pretty sure indeed sells them your info. On top of that be careful because there are countless “jobs” that are just opportunities for scammers to steal your info. You can report them but indeed does nothing about it..Version: 201.0

Not goodHanded in CV’s in person to quite a few shops, almost all told me they only accept applications via indeed, downloaded the app and barely any jobs around my area appear, you put in a specific area for which you want jobs and you’ll be getting notifications for jobs about 6 miles away which is silly. not to mention the fact that all applications are timed.. you don’t even have a visible timer to go by, i tried multiple times to apply for a single job that came up for the first time in maybe 3 months around my area, and it timed out without warning, gave it another try and it reset me in about half the time as the previous attempts, theres no warning nor is there any timer to pace yourself by. pretty pointless if you ask me.Version: 57.0

FakeIndeed us fake app i applied here almost 300 applications but i can't get any response from this app this is fraud and misleading to people.Version: 195.0

Only 3 starsThe indeed app will not let you read all the reviews after you have uploaded you resume. It expects you to review all the companies on your resume first. Sorry but that should be my prerogative not indeed’s..Version: 133.0

Forcing Users to Create Account & Sign InI see with the latest app update Indeed is now FORCING users to create an account and sign in or they can no longer access the app. Completely disgusted! Yet another greedy unethical app developer coercing their customers into having their every keystroke tracked, monitored and collected. I deleted your app immediately and I will never use it again. I am fed up with the unrelenting assault on a consumer’s right to privacy..Version: 95.0

Can we do the basics for new users please? 😂I just downloaded the app and chose to create a new profile using my Apple ID was unable to review the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Terms. Normally I would gloss over those but there was a notification at the bottom stating “ By using Indeed you agree to our new Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Terms, which we encourage you to review.” Which I copied and pasted here and now all of the text I’m typing is highlighted lol😂 I don’t know why this is happening but it’s both hilarious and frightening because it’s a legit app from the App Store. Apple, Indeed y’all gotta clean this up because people like me who aren’t tech savvy will leave 1 star reviews like this. For now I will delete the app and I guess I’ll wait until someone from Indeed or Apple responds to me saying that those updated policies are now viewable. Quite frankly I’m embarrassed for both Apple and Indeed right now, and I love Apple products by the way. Update: Wow so now that I return (not 5 minutes later) to update my review none of the original text I copied from the app appears. 🤣 Anyways I just googled (via the Google app from the App Store) the job I was looking for and the same notification popped up to review the updated documents and lo and behold the links worked! I’ll add 2 stars since an App Store app functioned correctly. I’m still an Apple fan but I was not expecting this kind of experience from a highly rated app from the App Store..Version: 113.0

Fake job posting websiteAlmost all job posting are fake . Nobody returns you . Try another site.Version: 117.0

A waste of timeDon’t waste your time trying to find a job on this app. A good amount of job postings on here are fake. Plus when you want to leave a review about a past employer that calls out racism they’ll reject that review. Not wasting another minute on this app and neither should you..Version: 184.2

So frustratingI downloaded thinking it would be so much easier to apply for jobs but it’s made it 10x harder. Every time I go to apply for a job it tells me to log in and when I do it tells me it’s wrong password or email. I’ve changed my password 3 times already and I know it’s not wrong but it keeps telling me it is..Version: 12.1

Could be better...1. Because "ABC Co" is listed on my resume, I am considered the expert on it(!) and at the bottom of my screen I am asked questonable such as "Is ABC Co" showing employees to work from home during Covid?" and "Does ABC Co pay fairly?" etc. In one case I left the company more than 5 years ago and have no knowledge of what they are doing now; in the other, I worked for a single individual who is now deceased and it is painful to see this pop up. There is no way to get rid of these questions without putting in an answer out of frustration - which may not be correct. Very frustrating. 2. I would like to be able to filter out certain industries in my profile so they do not appear in any of my searches. I have no medical background but get listings for nurses, doctors, etc. This does to multiple fields. 3. Along with #2, you can indicate you are not interested in a job 🚫 and select the reason, but similar jobs keep popping up. 4. It would be good if a job were automatically moved to "applied" once you complete the application. You have to do this yourself and I have come close to applying for the same job twice. And 5. I understand that apps might look different and perform differently under different browsers - but my searches don't sync! I've got different combinations on my iPhone, iPad and MacBook. And who knows what it looks like on my iMac... Simply not very efficient..Version: 199.0

Disappointing.I’ve been searching non stop, putting my best foot forward and constantly trying to reach out with everyone, all I’ve gotten back is “no can do” or Is get scolded at because “oh they forgot it was still up there, they’re not hiring any more since a month ago.” Literally the case for at least 15 places I’ve applied to. I wish I was exaggerating. Maybe I’m not qualified to grow up and have a job that gets me anywhere but this has literally been going on since April. I’ve looked all over the country too. Literally. Even Alaska, I think the only state I have forgotten is Pennsylvania. I’ve said I’m willing to relocate and go anywhere but I’ve bent over backwards and then some just to be put on hold. I wouldn’t be so upset with my experience, but I’m in a real need of a job right now and if I have to rely on Indeed’s system, I’m sorry but it just won’t cut it. Gotta look at other apps now. Hope you are more strict on the lazy employers who don’t even check their apps and you can fix the broken websites they send you to. There has to be a way to fix that..Version: 103.0

PoorIt should be connected to email job alerts. So once I click one recommended job from indeed email it opens on the app instead of going to safari..Version: 10.7

Amazing potential but badly executedI love this app for job searching but it is INCREDIBLY frustrating to use. It always takes so long to load on I’m using it on an iPhone XS Max. There is no way to sort your job searches by date and there is no way to dismiss the jobs I have already applied for. The home and bad buttons need a bit of work to as it feels more like I’m on a website within an app than actually using an app. I think this has the potential to dominate this category but the design team really need to bring it into 2019 and take it out of the stage that the first Facebook app was in many many years ago.Version: 11.2

Good... but...It’s a great app. However I don’t feel that employees are giving enough information in their post and I’d love to see some changes made. It should be mandatory to post the wage being offered and the exact location you would be working if hired. Some people rely on city transit and finding out during a phone conversation that it would be 3 hours away or in another city, isn’t helpful. Also, stating what the wage being offered in the post would help a lot of us from wasting our time with low offer jobs if we’re qualified for a lot more. Too much guess work in these ads..Version: 35.1

😒Been trying with a decent resume for some not very good jobs, but I haven’t even get a offer for a job. If you’re looking for a job I recommend dropping your resume online or apply on the companies website.Version: 35.1

Fake jobsThere is alot of fake jobs posted on indeed, i had a restaurant email me asking for resume, when i followed up with them, they said it was a fake post by someone else, not good.Version: 70.0

RidiculousHardly any jobs in my area, some jobs are advertised lying as I applied for a pallet making company on Leabrook road was asked to come in for a look around they then insisted I come in the Monday after which I got a late reply then was told come in for the Tuesday now to be trained to then finish off the shift to be told you didn’t reach a target of 80 pallets when I thought I was getting trained…. Also most of these jobs require experience which is kinda a shambles because if someone doesn’t have training then how & where are they supposed to go for that?? I’ve been applying for jobs for 3 months now and only heard back from one which was the pallet company that shouldn’t be employing with false advertisement.Version: 188.0

Keeps closingAs the title says basically, the app has been working fine and I got my current job through it but with the recent update the app closes itself as soon as I try to open it after this recent update. I don’t go on my laptop much but I will most likely have to start going on their to use Indeed through its website till this problem is fixed, as the website directs me to the app when I’m on there on my phone and as I said it crashes when I try to open it. For clarification and may hopefully help I’m using an IPhone 9 with the most recent IOS, from what I’ve checked all of my other apps don’t currently have this problem. As someone who has done coding/programming through game design, I know errors are bound to happen so I don’t blame the team behind the app and it’s update. I just hope it can be resolved quickly..Version: 172.0

Can’t sign inThe app is completely unusable because it doesn’t let you sign in. Not incorrect password or anything, I tested to double check and it tells you if you’re typing the wrong password. It’s just not holding the login info once you get it right and continues to prompt you to login. *shrugs* the site itself is great on desktop, but the app just doesn’t work..Version: 20.0

Loove testsGotta love the tests indeed decides to make up to waste a persons time while they’re trying to get a job. one more step in getting a job in addition to the 20 minutes every employer wastes forcing you to enter all your person info to their own personal company portal instead of just using your RESUME THAT LISTS ALL OF THAT INFO ALREADY. what’s next? blood/drug/urine tests? psychological evaluation? christ..Version: 192.0

Very poor search facilityWorst job search I’ve ever used. I thought the app would offer better search facilities than the website, but it doesn’t so I will delete it. Indeed doesn’t seem to categorise jobs into sectors, so you can’t choose to include or exclude a particular sector. This makes it s useless tool. For example I have no interest in retail jobs but I have to wade through endless retail jobs in any search I do. Type in ‘NOT retail’ just returns a list of retail jobs. I would have thought it quite obvious that jobseekers are going to want to refine their search to certain sectors, or exclude sectors, apparently this hasn’t occurred to the biggest online jobsearch provider! As I say, useless.Version: 12.0

Terrible app and very buggyOmg this app is so full of bugs. Firstly, the refine your job search section is pointless. Why bother telling us to refine our search criteria if it doesn’t work properly?! If I have selected a certain type of job in an area of 10 miles I expect it to show me only jobs within that 10 mile radius not various different jobs outside the distance I have chosen. Why is it showing me jobs for 15/20 plus miles?... If I wanted job view jobs at that distance I would have chosen it. Please listen to your users because I am getting fed up with it and I have started using another job search app that is far more accurate and reliable than this one..Version: 161.0

Resume layoutThe resume layout after uploading looks unattractive . Would be better if the resume were left in original form with photo and colours intact. Apart from that this app is easy to use ..Version: 9.1

Time wasted - Sooo many fake jobsLet me start with the worst: SOOO many fake jobs. People scraping the boards looking for your info and emailing you about fake postings in order to scam you. It’s CONSTANT. This alone makes uploading the giant amount of info indeed wants seem very sketchy. Once you’re past that: For all they tout how much you need indeed it’s not great. I constantly get recommended jobs on my email for which I don’t even qualify. My feed is full of them too. I have specific requests emailed to me asking me to apply for a job and when I do often I ruled out before finishing the application due to not meeting the requirements or I’m emailed almost immediately saying thanks but no thanks for the same reason. Indeed has been a huge waste of my time. Plus they have all these quizzes for you to take, often required for job applications, that are very poorly written and have multiple answers that could be appropriate depending on the company policy or just because the person writing it doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Indeed gives you plenty of jobs to dig through but most of the ones they recommend to you aren’t remotely a fit for you or you experience. Their algorithm will inundate you with jobs you don’t want because you clicked on one to see what it was and it wasn’t a good fit too..Version: 175.0

Seriously?I’m a little upset about this. I’m from Prince Edward Island, which I understand isn’t a very known place let alone the schools around here, but when I tried to make my resume through this app, it asked which school I go to. I typed it in, and apparently my school isn’t in the list of schools you have so I can’t make my resume. Please, fix this issue..Version: 178.0

Minor detailsI’m am just out of school and am looking for a job but in places where it it ask for your highest level of education it goes 0,12,13,14 and so on like no 10 or 11. I think there is some things that need to be fixed and altered.Version: 137.0

Worst appTired of waiting months for a simple call or text from jobs this app is stupid af.Version: 186.0

I hate this.A job that i want very much sent me a message on indeed after i sent them the suggested follow up message after you send your CV and now i can’t reply and there’s no other way that i can because they’re « bringing ameliorations to indeed messages » well for an app thats supposed to get you jobs i think its more for losing job opportunities actually!😡.Version: 185.0

Doesn’t remember username and PWI’m not willing to type in my email and password every time I open the app..Version: 189.0

Fake Jobs galoreA couple years ago Indeed was a great way to get hired. Nowadays it seems companies are using their platform to advertise there services and products(Not Hiring!). Also a lot of fake companies collecting your data to send spam emails and calls…as I typed this I got a call from China 🤨.Version: 121.0
