✓ Great appI have been using this app for several years now and love it. It is far better than keeping a pocket calendar with me when scheduling appointments or making plans with family and friends. I have a rotating schedule which is not in the app but I was able to put my schedule in manually. I can see what my schedule is going to be next year rather than trying to figure it out. If you have rotating days off this is what you need to keep your life in order..Version: 5.1
✓ Good but DatedGreat App. I use this regularly because the ability to colour days multiple colours means I genuinely can check out my whole month at a glance. I found it by word of mouth when someone at work showed me the app on their mobile and I downloaded it there and then and have never looked back. Takes a little while to fully understand it at first. I don't use it to its full potential as I don't have a degree in rocket science. That being said, this is the ultimate app when it comes to scheduling your time and those that have to record hours, overtime, shifts, holidays etc. If you need to micromanage your time, you will love this. It's safe to say I'd be lost without this app. Have tried many others and, whilst they may be slicker or better looking, none perform like Scheduler. And that is probably my only real criticism of Scheduler : it really is starting to look quite dated. Other than the app badge, not a lot has changed over these past few years. This makes the app look very date next to it's slicker competitors. If you're a Firefighter looking for the right app, stop searching. This is it....Version: 5.0

Even though I didn't even come close to using it in all its potential (just don't have time to set it all up), even the very basic functions made my life so much easier. Very visual app, which is also a plus. And support is phenomenal! I had trouble getting back all my data after an update and had to e-mail the app support for help. ✓ Still not canadian firefighter friendlyBetter than ifirecal but still too american making it difficult to create a Canadian firefighter schedule. Make a 4/4 schedule that is two 10hr day and two 14hr nights followed by four days off. Also add option for Canadian holidays please Thanks for all the updates! I've had thus app from day one and even with the previously mentioned shortcomings it was still the best firefighter app available. Now I think it's the greatest by far! ✓ Good for Law Enforcement ScheduleScheduler was designed for use by people who have public service occuptions. I currently use it for a law enforcement schedule. Schedules as with most things in this line of work go out the window once they are implemented. Scheduler allows one to document overtime, holidays, vacations and all the other things that come up in the course of a given shift. It takes a little practice to use but is not a difficult program to use. On several occasions I have contacted the developer for help or advice and he has always responded in a very timely manner. The program has had upgrades based on user suggestions and my advise to those who wish to be critical without offering a better suggestion need not buy the program. If you are looking for a program that will work for police, EMS or fire schedules then I would recommend this app..Version: 0
✓ Awesome - FinallyThanks Jeff for a great product! Basically, I work a 6 week schedule that requires us to spend half of our time in different locations... So, my schedule does not repeat until the 12 week cycle has completed. Scheduler is pricy and I was hesitant to purchase until I exhausted the similar Apps... This was quick since no other App can come close, in my opinion, providing the flexibility and tracking that this program does. This App can accommodate the most demanding schedule - period. There is a learning curve but non too difficult to figure it out. Wondering what shift you are working next year to plan ahead? No problem - if your schedule does not change - you can have it in view right now! Customer support - there is None Better - Jeff responded within the hour of my email. ✓ Toronto CopDon't be cheap! I bought this app, and I liked it so much that I bought one for my wife's iPod and my mom's iPad. Now they can know when I'm working. It took some time to figure out, but once you get it, it's so perfect for shift workers. I used to carry a paper calendar for all my court and appointments, not any more. What a party.... ✓ Great appI've been using this app for at least the last year - it's a lifesaver. I no longer have to carry a pocket calendar with me to know when I'm working. I work a 48on/96off with 3 shifts, and I'm able to add in OT shifts, trades. I absolutely LOVE how it keeps track of accumulated and used vacation time for me - I depend more on this than I do our HR department! Being able to add in a spouse's schedule is an added bonus. ✓ Shift worker? This app is for youAs the title says, if you work shifts this is the ultimate app for you. It’s especially good if you work shifts that have many varying start and finish times. I work as a tube driver and our rota is 110 weeks long, with about 68 different duties per day Mon - Friday and then even more different ones on the weekend. This app allows you to enter them all. It integrates with iOS calendar. Tally’s up the hours you work each week. Let’s you add pdfs and images, colour code each individual duty and so much more. This is the ultimate app with a huge amount of features, which means it can be tricky initially to get used to. However bear with it and message the developer if you’re stuck. ✓ Best App on the MarketI have an unusual work schedule where I work for 5 days then off 2, then Work 5 off 2, and work 5 off 3. This App has been unbelievably helpful for me. All I had to do was set up an example month of work and it duplicated it for the next two years! I very often do shift swaps with other guys and this app has a "trade" option which helps me keep track of days I owe or days owed to me. My overtime and shift changes are easily tracked on this app as well. I have had this app for almost 3 month and I could not imagine not having it. ✓ FantasticWorks fantastically for me. I was able to input my 20 week rotating pattern without any problems and have also put the better half's shifts on. Would be nice if I was able to see the other shift pattern times as I struggle to remember which colour relates to what shift for the second pattern. ✓ Great app but takes a little getting used to.This app was clearly written for the American Market but that said it works perfectly well for any shift worker no matter where you are, just ignore the Americanisms. It takes a little time and trial and error to get used to but it is well worth the effort. You can easily input any shift rota and it works out everything from one pattern. It shows uk bank holidays, you can enter repeating events for birthdays or say car inurance reminders etc, etc. Easy to scroll through days, weeks or months ahead. Just what any shift worker needs. ✓ The most important app on my phone!I have been using this calendar app for 3-4 years and it is the most important app on my phone. I am a firefighter with a second job and this app easily allows me to plan accordingly. Adding shift trades, OT, extra days at the second job is a breeze and easy to see in the month view. If you take the time to set it up, it will even keep track of vacation and sick time which is extremely helpful to me. If I have a vacation planned several months ahead I can easily look forward to that date to see if I have enough time to cover it or if I'll need to do trades. ✓ Excellent for shiftworkersFound and downloaded this app after looking for some time for an app which would display my work shifts adequately. This app does it more than adequately, it is very, very good - the best I've tried by a long way. I work in the UK railway (railroad) industry and have a five-week rotating roster which consists of six different turn times/lengths. Having used the app now, I can see that it will easily cope with far more lengthy and complex shift patterns too. And the fact that it 'rolls out' the roster into future cycles automatically is just brilliant. I'm no whizzkid when it comes to using software, but although the many features can make it a bit complicated, I found this fairly intuitive and easy to set up. The only thing I would change or improve would be, make it more daily "to do" friendly. I don't know about you but I plan everything around my work schedule, vacation days, time trades, and overtime. The EVENT part of the APP is the only thing I can really use at this time to plan around my work schedule. You can make your own custom schedule, organize trades, keep track of OT and events daily and shows up with a dot so you know there is something that day. ✓ Adaptable internationally.Although primarily developed for the US emergency services, I've found this app easy enough to adapt to the Australian 10/14 roster. It is great to also be able to add my partner's shift roster to my calender too. Takes a bit of time to tailor settings to individual needs, but once it's setup it's very easy to use. ✓ Very functional appIt helps me plan my work schedule before submitting it to our scheduler at work. I can see the calendar in a 30-day view and actually plot my schedule in a way that works w 'my family's' holidays (e.g. bdays, annivs) and actually gives me a better picture when to request days offs or vacations. I can even start plotting my draft schedule months ahead and that just gives me a planning advantage. One has to learn how to use this app. Once that was ironed out for me, i customized it to the way that worked for me. ✓ Great for shift working couple!Works great for me. It really helps. I now know when my wife and I are working 2 years from now. My wife and I are shift workers with odd schedules that repeat (nurse and firefighter). I've been looking for an app to keep track of both schedules and this does it. The setup took some time, but the tutorial mode walks you through it. I later emailed Jeff with a couple of minor issues and suggestions. He got back to me the same day! Most tweaks are already on the way and he solved my issues by showing me other ways to use the app. It seems he really wants to get it right. Great support. Recommended. ✓ Very Cool App for FD scheduleSince I bought my iPhone I have looking for an app that I could keep my schedule on as well as Trades, vacation, OT, etc... This is the one. It is pretty easy to use after about 30 minutes of playing with it. It also has "tutorial" mode that will help you if you need it. The different colors and ability to change colors for each type of schedule situation is really cool. Once you learn it you will find ways to put important notes on a day like someones birthday or an important meeting. My only request would be for the developer to make this more user friendly and let the app track your personal events as well as work events. But Jeff Mattox, the creator, is extremely fast with advice and tips. After a few emails to get me on the right track, I had successfully created my weird seven-week, four-shift rotating cycle, and had started perfecting and tweaking it. Looking back on it, I'm amazed that something so easy and simple could have seemed so daunting - without Jeff's help, it may have been. ✓ Couldn't do without it!I am an RN with a different schedule every week and accumulate hours for vacation, sick, personal, comp and holidays. This ap keeps track beautifully once it's set up-adds and subtracts hours or days. With a tap of the screen, you can see your balance going forward or back in the calendar. There is so much more than that. Once set up, it is so easy to enter your schedule or anything else you want to enter-by just touching the date. You can see your phone calendar in the ap. it even let's you know how many hours you've worked and when you've reached your max limit on vacation hours. It may seem a bit daunting at first to set it up but it's worth it. I've been using this ap for a very long time and even when I find that I need something else, like to track comp time, it can do it. The customer service is wonderful. They are quick to answer. Pretty much immediately. Plus they are extremely helpful with any questions about the ap. It is so difficult keeping track of all the different hours and this ap does it seamlessly. ✓ Has everything you needThis application is very flexable when it comes to creating all kinds of rosters. On top of that, it can track your sick days, RDO's and leave. And ...something that I really like, you can use it as a log book while at work. Each event is automatically date and time stamped (it can be changed), has a title (with presets for your frequent events), a text area, and it's geotagged!! You can then view all your events on a map. That's an invaluable feature if you work all over the place. ✓ Best firefighter calendarI've tried others, some free and some paid and this one is the only calendar app I use. It has replaced my iCal, my pocket shift calendar, and my wife's calendar all in one. While it does take a little bit to figure out, it is only because there are so many features available on it. It is well worth the hassle of setting it up. I have never had any issues with the app and the developer is very receptive to questions and/or suggestions. I use this app more tan any other app I have ever downloaded. The OT, vacation, and sick time tracking features have saved me a couple of times when HR made a mistake with my hours. ✓ PERFECT for Parenting Time/Child VisitationI never thought I would find a calender app that could replace my calender on my old Palm Centro, with its flexible recurring events feature. I have looked for over a year for an app that would allow me to set up the schedule that my ex-husband (a police officer) and I have for shared parenting time with our son. I researched all apps that seemed would apply, but they all are limited in how you can set up recurring events. This is perfect...I just wish I was able to find it sooner. ✓ Comprehensive handy rostering appI don't think Scheduler is complicated, rather comprehensive instead. Certainly requires the user to play around with it a bit, or more appropriately, read the tips that pop up within the application or on the website to get this program setup correctly. Once established, all the hard work in the settings pay off with the application giving quick & colourful summary of a work roster. ✓ Wonderful for CouplesI downloaded this app so that my boyfriend and I could sync our hectic schedules. I love that we can email update each other. At first it was not working because I had an older operating system on my Ipod that would not allow downloading of his emailed schedule. I emailed the developer and recieved a response within minutes. He was was very helpful in quickly resolving my issue and letting me know to update the OS on the ipod. Since then I have had no issues. The only suggestion I have at this point (and maybe it already exists and I haven't learned about it yet) is to be able to share certain events as well so that we don't have to each enter the event separately. For example, if I plan a trip on our weekend off and put it on my event schedule, that I can choose to have it shared with him. But not necessarily share other events such as work related appointments. If this can already be done, great! I will learn... if not having it added would be a great update!.Version: 4.2.3
✓ Useful? - very!!I reviewed this way back in July 09, I wasn't too happy with it back then for various reasons. It's gone through several changes since. I can safely say that this product is now reclassified as 'Awesome'. I use it all the time for my rota at work (20 week), I have encouraged most of my work colleagues to purchase it (which they have). At first, setting it up seems complicated, but it's really not, just stick with it and you'll suddenly realise how easy it is. Well done! great app support! :) N.B. ✓ Excellent!I work in the oil patch and my wife is a nurse. We both have weird shifts but this app can handle them with ease. This program is a little complicated at first but if you read the help section it makes sence later on. It is the best sched app I have found yet. The support is second to none! ✓ Excellent for shift workI'm a UK shiftworker and wanted a calendar that showed what shift I was on at a glance, but also with the abilty to add extra details on each day as well. My shift wasn't listed as a pre-set one, but it only took a couple of minutes to add my shift into the memory, I looked at a lot of apps, but this one is by far the best app for what I wanted. ✓ (Read whole review) Best scheduler for the Fire/EMS service yet!First review ever written. I downloaded it during one of those idle moments between runs (911 calls), began to play with it, and thought that this might have been a waste of money because I had a hard time doing anything much more than setting up my shifts. However, having a better opportunity to really look at it, I was amazed at the functionality and usefulness. After I set everything up on it and was now trying to customize it, I took a brief look in the Help section, and didn't see anything on that subject. I emailed Jeff, got a response in exactly 10 minutes with an explanation of how to do it. Just because his instructions seemed so "duh", I went back to the Help section and took another look. ✓ Must have!!!This app is a must for shift workers!!! Anything you would want on a calendar is available and all customizable. From colours for different shifts or overtime or vacation to colours for appointments, training, etc. you can also back up the app so if anything happens to your phone you don't lose everything which is great. And also fantastic service from app makers. I had an issue getting my overtime shifts to show up the way I wanted so after a few emails back and forth and still not being able to figure out what I was doing wrong, they had me back up the data and send it to them. They were able to help me figure out what I was doing wrong. Again, great app!!!!! Worth every penny.Version: 4.3.5

✓ Works for us!Played around, definitely needed to read the instructions, but I got all 5 Toronto police platoons on, paydays, holidays, can use the markers to record court, overtime 'paid duties', save assigned days off, regular days off attached to leave days. It would be nice to have a roster page to record colleagues 'need to know' info like badge numbers, platoon, company email, cells, to avoid having it all mixed in with the iPhone contacts. ✓ Awesome Schedule/Calendar App"The App", " The App", "The App", lets all talk about the app. This is a great app, but I'll get to that later. Having been in budgeting, planning and scheduling of maintenance for major industrial facilities, the final result (making the darn thing work) is what really matters. That is what makes this app shine. I have only 2 "issues" with this app, both operator error. But each time I contacted support (Jeff), response was extremely fast and accurate, getting me running again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME wondering if another app will work. This one DOES, and Jeff's willingness to follow-up if you have support needs, proves his desire to make sure that this is the best Scheduler/Calendar app. NOW THE APP... I am not a FF, but do work rotating shifts working the Dupont schedule, so having my shift calendar is a must. I tried several other schedule apps but none of those compared to the ease and flexibility of Scheduler. To be able to make and keep the family's appointments is no longer an "I'll check my work schedule and get back to you" event. I have showed it to co-workers and other folks that working rotatng shifts, and all love the app. They especially liked the ability to create their/your own schedule. The tracking of events, holiday/vacation hours, shift coverage/swapping is a must and all work great, I cannot recommend this app enough. You need it..Version: 4.2
✓ Good but complexI work the southern swing shift and I like that I can have my schedule on hand and this does that. It's also nice to use to keep track of my vacation time and sick days. The only draw back I've found is the fact that it's so complicated to navigate. I've about got it all figured out now but I was pulling hair out for a while. If it would have been a free app I would have deleted it after about an hour but for what it cost I was a little more dedicated. All in all it's a good overly complicated app..Version: 4.2.3
✓ App for crazy RN schedulesI'm a RN and this is a great app! I've been looking for an app that I don't waste my money on due to lack of features and I finally found it! I wanted to be able to visualize my schedule every 2 weeks by having a solid background colour and different colours in it to indicate my days/nights/evening shifts so I know my hours in a 2 week pay period. You can also put in OT, vacation, sick days, pay days, notes (appointments) etc. I've seen the other apps and it doesn't have as many options as this! The best part as well is the VERY quick help you get from Jeff when you have trouble setting up your schedule. The app is complicated at first but you gotta play with it to know it! ✓ Best Scheduling AppI am a Train Driver in the Uk and have used this app for my shift duties. I can honestly say that this is such a brilliant app that I think it’s probably one of the best I have on my phone as I use it every day. I can input my duties, rest days & annual leave and also O/T & notes and when I tap on a particular day I can have an image/pdf of my duty for that day. ✓ Top App.I'm in the UK fire service and though this is a US made App. it works perfectly with my shifts plus all the other really useful things this App can handle for example it can keep records of your sickness, records your overtime, you can log all of the various types of leave and any courses you are on too it really it so useful. And now shows your rota for two years ahead as well. I really can't understand why this App only has two stars!!! Have you checked out the other rota Apps? There is just no comparison. One critisism made about this App is that it is too complicated? Come on! If this App could only do one thing then it would be simpler that's true but hell it's hardly rocket science and it's the fact that this App does all the things it does that goes into making this such a great App. So is it really too complicated? Of course not! And if you want an App that just shows your rota then this does that too. What this App can do is a handful of very useful things and i'm sure we can all cope with an App that does more than one basic thing! Another critisism i've seen is someone moaning about the designer not getting back to them! All I can say is that in my exprience this guy (Jeff) is open to any ideas which could make the App better still for it's users and reponds to your emails VERY quickly infact often within the hour! He must have his "push" notification set to "On" on his phone is all that i can think. Taking everything into account i.e. just how "spot on" this App is and how helpful the designer is all goes to make this App not just the best rota App by a clear mile but one of the very best & certainly one of the most useful Apps I have on my iPhone. I'd certainly recommend this App for ANYONE who works shifts. (Around a dozen guys at the station I'm at have iPhones and absolutely everyone of them have this App and love it.) ✓ Shift workerThis app is well worth the money! I love how it syncs with my ical on my iPhone and how easy it is to see my schedule colour codes for weeks at a time. I don't use it to it's full capacity by a long way. It is a bit tricky to get set up because it's capable of so much, but anytime I have had a question I just fire off an email and I get a response with with a quick easy answer within hours! ✓ Good but could be improvedThe app does a take a bit of time to get used to but does have a lot of useful features. The feature that really drew me to the app was the ability to add a partners shift pattern which really helps for planning. The only issue I have found is that like most shift workers shifts are often changed and this app doesn't allow for you to change individual shifts within a set cycle and because of that it loses a star.
