✓ ArnaqueAppli très très pauvre, 60$ pour rien. J'ai finalement acheté d'autres guides et organisé un voyage en Europe avec TripAdvisor qui est gratuit. Exemple, je vis à Montréal. Il y a 8 restos répertoriés mais nous en avons au moins 5000. On nous présente aussi 3 quartiers quand il y en a au bas mot 30 et +. ✓ Looks nice, lacks substanceIf you're going to spend money on a mobile travel guide, look elsewhere. This looks nice at first glance, but once you pay and download the app you'll see that information is very basic and not up to date. The Budapest guide had many "top" restaurants that were closed, had non functional maps even when the address is there, it won't plot the location. The worst part is that the majority of the sights don't have any descriptions. Addition - I bought the montenegro guide from tripwolf because lonely planet doesn't have one for iPhone. Big mistake. The photo for Bay of Kotor is a toilet! (I'm not joking). What a waste of time and money. You guys at tripwolf Shoul go out of business. Quickly.Version: 2.7

✓ Don't buy the Hammamet guide!!!!The app seems quite good and has much potential, however I bought and installed the Hammamet (Tunisia) guide - it's absolutely abysmal, comprising a couple of paragraphs lifted from Wikipedia, a couple of photos, an advert for a local zoo and an absolutely useless map with only a few main roads on it - and they had the cheek to charge me £1 for trivial information that could be written on the back of an envelope! ✓ Free/preview version was awful.The free destination versions are just a come on to get you to buy premium versions. I downloaded singapore. There were 3 photos, one from Flicker that was not available. Written information was minimal and the screen was crowded with icons for like, share, etc. unless you are a travel buff and want to pay $6 for the premium version, or are planning to visit a destination, it is not worthwhile to download this app. I deleted the app, so I ,have no opinion about the value of the premium versions for each location..Version: 2.6

✓ Needs workThis app could be really awesome but unfortunately a lot of the info on Cape Town is either out of date or very, very sparse. Most of the info that is available comes off either wikipedia or wikitravel, but at least it is free unlike a lot of "wiki-repackaged" travel apps (+1 star for that). The app also crashed numerous times and the navigation system is a bit clunky and uintuitive. I would seriously suggest moving the ads to somewhere else on the screen as I accidentally tapped on them a number of times - but I guess you need to make money somehow..Version: 0

✓ Meh.I really wanted to like this app - the concept is great. But the product is boring and underwhelming. I tried two different tours in Norway - both looked promising with the included stops. Neither delivered with any depth of detail for the individual sites. It was essentially 2 factual historical sentences read by an AI voice with no story, humor or anything to make it interesting. No walking directions either, although the map was helpful but it means you have to keep the phone out & looking at it the whole time. Didn’t even finish the trial period..Version: 8.5421

✓ Not a replacement for a guidebookPaid for France, expected a guidebook on my iPad but it is not. It seems to be closer to an app for identifying hotels. Example, no search results for Arles, famous town for it's art history. Avignon, one very short entry about the bridge, nothing else. The Camargue, nothing. Well, to be accurate it does list hotels from all over France that happen to have Camargue in the name. Reims, just some hotels and a theatre, nothing about the UNESCO world heritage site in the town centre. There seems to be a lot of information and very good suggestions for places to visit in the regional guides but it did not take long to realise they are heavily centred to a relatively small number of cities. The downloaded map of France is useful but these are available for free. Just using Wikipedia is a better option..Version: 4.7.0
✓ Pretty, But Seems ScammyI purchased a lifetime subscription to TripWolf, which, surprise surprise, shut down and directed me to Smart Guide, with nothing to show for my purchase. And instead of offering some kind of unlimited subscription, SG is apparently asking users to become investors or crowd-funders for their operation selling us as targets for advertisers. So, it’s like paying for HBO and getting bombarded with ads like on network TV? Why not just use Google where we already know we’re the sheep? ✓ Buggy app, minimal contentIt took 3 attempts to download the guide I bought, and several crashes. Once I had the guide - to Dresden - I was shocked by how lacking in any kind of detailed content the guide had. The 'neighbourhoods' section simply tells you the name of a neighbourhood and it's location on a map - nothing about the neighbourhood itself. The old town square, one of the major attractions, gets 2 sentences. Restaurant and bar reviews are mostly along the lines of 'this is a good place for drink' etc. Really poor quality content, not what you would expect from a premium app. Wish I hadn't bought this, and won't buy more from this company - although admittedly the design is beautiful..Version: 4.0.1

Bought the guide which won't load, but not to worry - it's useless anyway as a close look at the purchase book jacket in the library shows that the Englush version isn't ready, a little nugget of information worth knowing before I bought it with pound sterling from my English account, but that's no longer an issue either, as the whole app now fails to load - full and lite. ✓ Needs workI’m really disappointed in this app. You must chose from the preselected points of interest and cannot add your own. While there are a number of attractions to chose from, it’s still missing quite a few of them. I paid full price for the Salzburg app and the Graz app and will still end up taking paper copies maps with me to fill in the locations not listed. C’mon developers get with the other apps and allow people planning their trips to add their own points of interest to their itineraries. ✓ DON’T GOOr if you must, make sure you have a smart phone, your own headphones, are prepared to download their app and have tremendous amounts of patience - all prior to boarding. This tour is beyond woeful. They have done away with the headphones plugging into their equipment, you need to use your own phone but, incomprehensibly, they supply Jack plug earphones that don’t fit anything. To build your schedule you have to choose specific tickets and attractions from their list. Specific tours. Rather than giving a bunch of pictures for a site, they show one, list some info, and offer to sell you a ticket. I ended up browsing it casually and using google sheets to make my schedule with exact reservations and links. The purchasing options were insanely confusing, as well. ✓ Not what I expectedI paid for upgraded version plus unlimited maps. I attempted to use this app in Frankfurt Germany The maps section show where we were at and where the attraction was at but does not show how to get there. This would be much more useful it if it had a city transportation planner for using public transit. Or even a direction list for walking to the attraction. Maybe there is a secret to using their maps that we didn't see, but we clicked on everything to try to get a direction plan. When my daughter clicked on one of the attractions the evening we arrived to show more info it took us away from the app and did not allow us to return to the app, there was no back button, so I had to download the whole app over again. That used a lot of my data plan that I paid for to use in Europe. I ended up anyway using my iPhone maps and an app that I had on my phone for several years called Around Me. VERY sparse coverage of the town, didn't include a single one of the places recommended by locals during our trip. The surprise came out when I tried to view some areas of Thailand in more detail, the app asked me to purchase more premium guides for some spots inside Thailand. ✓ Don't waste any money in thisThe free app is basically just a glimpse of the full app. You need to download a city guide for each individual destination which would be fine if the app worked in the way it really should. The ability to plot destinations on a map of your destination is this apps biggest selling point but also it's biggest flaw. In theory what should be able to be done is to either select a destination from those already stored and listed within the app or to type any address in (ie your accomodation if not listed within the app and/or well reviewed restaurants etc). In reality the app nor the website allow you to add your own personal destinations to 'my trip' map. The only other option would be to have a comprehensive destination list (which would involve a lot of capital to research) so that any destination and/or business could be selected. In reality the list is minimal at best and the reviews or choices of attractions have an air of advertising about them. With quality review sites like tripadvisor and lonely planet/Thorntree as well as far more reliable book based city guides for prices not much more than this the app really doesn't compete. It has great potential but until the map function/usability issue is resolved this will always be a disappointing app that I would encourage you not to spend any money on..Version: 2.6

✓ Very disappointing for the priceI had the Austria download, and it was really a superficial slap together. The interface is poorly designed and requires you to navigate all the way back to where you were from the root every time you look at something. ✓ I'm (not) loving it?I purchased this app in hopes of getting a comprehensive guide of the area. I did not. Though I did get a map, if I was online, there were no POI for the islands I was visiting, now in Bangkok I'm just as disappointed. mTrip has been more useful, has an offline map and its cheaper, though only the city of Bangkok and not a step outside; not one step. I wanted tripwolf to stand and deliver but it stank the moment I paid for the in app purchase; a waste of money.
