✓ Constantly CRASHES!I use the custom feature for signature drinks at a couple bars I work at. That's why I bought the app. BUT 1) it crashes every time I add a custom ingredient not in the apps library. Liquor, juice, puree.. 2) Custom drinks won't allow you to rearrange order, once you input, so you have to erase all ingredients if you want to change the order of ingredients. 3) I decided after I entered the drinks to add bar name in front of custom drinks so they grouped alphabetically. But when editing, it erases the whole name instead of allowing you to add to it. SO, the app has great promise, but falls short. It's very cumbersome it enter custom drinks and even a bigger pain to edit or update them! Finally, it seems you can't share, export or backup drinks I've entered..Version: 5.1.0

✓ Needs a little love, but still pretty greatThis app has potential to be the greatest drink/liquor/liqueur/bar apps in the App Store. Being someone who is the the food/drink operation I can see this. The app needs fixing, when you pay that extra dollar for the custom drinks feature there's a problem with creating an account! It keeps telling me, Opps something timed out, try again!" I paid that little extra for this feature and it needs to be fixed. The app also needs a facelift from the old fashioned black and silver combo to something fresh and cleaner! Something to represent the bars and mixology places of today! It needs to be improved with adding features also like the garnishes or bitters. There are so many bitters to use and they only have a small handful, make it so we can just write our own into the app. It would be great if it went into more detail about the ingredients (How are they made? What are they made with? What is their flavor/aroma profile? What are common/classic cocktails from this base? The history behind it?) Talk more about the glasses to and what they're design is best for with what cocktails? The mixology/bar scene changes so often and it needs an app to reflect those changes! This app needs to follow suit to those changes and freshen up with more cocktails, more info, and more ingredients!.Version: 5.0.2

✓ Almost thereVersion 2 is much improved! That said, the quest for having thousands of recipes has made it somewhat silly and probably more suited for the university-age set. "2 oz of tequila" gets its own name? Really?! A stock martini with a new name because it uses a smoked octopus as a garnish!? Maybe we also need the ability to DELETE recipes! : ) The graphics are overbearing in spots (think "Liquor Cabinet"!) but still WAY better than version 1. The store finder is better but still won't allow you to find a spot on the map and search; you HAVE to use your current location! What if I want to find a bar or a store that is by a place that I won't be near until later! Duh! The #1 reason I have kept this app around is the ability to add custom drinks. Until Cocktails+ (the only other serious contender) adds this feature, spend the money and get this app and just ignore the silliness..Version: 0
✓ Free version is good, paid version is unstableI’ve enjoyed the free version for a while and decided to upgrade so that I could add custom drinks. Unfortunately, it does not seem possible to add custom ingredients (or is not clear how to do so), and deleting an ingredient for a custom recipe causes the app to crash every time. Based on this experience, I would recommend sticking with the free version - it is not worth paying a dollar for a version of the app that crashes when you try to use the extra paid features..Version: 5.1.0
✓ Great but the layout sucksI love this app because you could have your personal liquor cabinet, and then it shows you what you’re able to make. I give this app a three star , because I really dislike is the change they’ve made in the display of the liquor cabinet. before the liquor cabinet actually displayed bottle Proto types .. NOW it’s just a black-and-white list that makes it very hard to see and takes forever to go through. And it’s very hard to actually see what you do have in your cabinet and don’t have..Version: 5.1.0

✓ Black screenThe app doesn't open on an iPod touch 5. All the custom drinks created are now buried in the app which won't open. This issue does not occur on an iPad Air. ✓ Lacking basic functionality for an enthusiastYou can’t add ingredients or it is not obvious or written anywhere on how to do so. There are tons of bottles and bitters out there. Extremely presumptuous to force everyone to use a non editable data set. If a recipe calls for Buffalo Trace whiskey then I want to be able to write it in the app... ✓ Love this app, but could be improved- Would be nice to be able to add to or edit the brand/selection in the liquor cabinet to include everything in my personal bar (Malibu Black isn't in the database). - Would also be nice to be able to do the same as or similar to Yelp's editing of liquor and bar locations when you do a map search (or at least be able to calibrate because when I do a search of my vicinity, an Enterprise and GNC pop up and that's it). - And while I understand there are often more than one way to make a particular drink, I have noticed various inconsistencies with the recipes listed in comparison to the recipes I know as a bartender (extra or missing ingredients, different measurements or glassware). - Otherwise I'd give 5/5 stars. I also think the $0.99 is a fair price for the Mixologist premium features like the custom recipes. I've had the free Mixology app for over a year now and just upgraded. I'll gladly re-rate once some of these points of interest are addressed, since I know programming is never fully done and there's always room for improvement. :).Version: 3.0

But after upgrading I found out that you can’t make your own drink using the name of a drink in the library so instead of making my own version of a Midori sour I have to call it something other than Midori sour. That is just dumb. Why would you force people to have to make custom names for drinks that already have named. Nor can you edit the default drinks which the majority of them are low quality recipes. ✓ Good buuuttt....Good app... but wish you had the ability to add/customize the "category/glassware" feature and to manually add a specific ingediant or liquor brand when it doesn't appear as you type it in... I work in a restaraunt and it would be nice to be able to create the custom drinks in the app for quick reference but seeing as how our recipies call for very specific types/brands of liquor it does me no good to use the app while at work because you can't create the custom drinks with the correct ingrediants... For example I can't create a custom drink with PATRON in it bc patron isn't listed...
